212 VIP Black Cab

This was originally purchased for the bottle. I know, I know. Silly reason for a fragrance purchase. But, to be honest, I really like the 212 line, and I personally find the LE flankers to be quite enjoyable. This one is fantastic. Yes, I get pineapple. Yes, I get a toffee-like caramel sweetness, too. It is youthful, energetic, but not overly sweet. It IS sweet, but not like some of these mainstream frags that just dial it up to a 10. I came for the bottle, but I am staying for the scent. Even fragrance snobbies like me can enjoy a designer release when it is fun and well done.

First of all, this smells similar to Creed Aventus with a caramel twist. Ngl. It's amazing. Whats also amazing is the bottle. It's a pure work of art. Heavy. Striking colors. Excellent cap and an atomizer that's beyond good. This WILL be a summer banger. Probably the best flanker so far.

Lovely Fragrance, nothing too complex opening with a fresh and non-chemical pineapple and drying down to a gourmandy tasty caramel, impressive longevity without the insane projection of other pineapple heavy scents. Very impressed with this CH drop, the bottle is horrendous though 🤣

I want this just for the bottle. (I do want to wear it as well, lol). But mostly for the bottle.

Already available in europe, starts off fruity and tropical like the original vip then dries down to something sweet and edible that reminds me a lot of le male elixir

My nose must be broken, because I don’t get Juicy Pineapple from this at all. The only thing even remotely pineapple-y is a leafy/green note when you fist spray, possibly the pineapple leaves, but there is no juicy, fruity Aventus/Qaed Al Fursan type opening. This really disappoints because the marketing and comments lead you to believe it’s a bomb. It isn’t. This is a little sweeter than 212 VIP Black, and a little less aromatic than Elixir. There is something a little peppery in the opening, but in no way do you need this flanker if you own any from the line. I will say that I love the look of the bottle. And will keep this in the collection because of it, but the retail price for what you get is just a ludicrously low value to me.

Ayer pase a una tienda a revisar varios perfumes, me ofrecieron este y recorde que era uno nuevo que aun no probaba, asi que acepté. Primero que nada me lo dieron a probrar directamente en el brazo para mantener el olor, pero fue tan increible que le avise que me lo compraria en un rato mas ya que me daria una vuelta, esa salida top de piña era exquisita. A la media hora era el perfume mas insoportable que he tenido nunca, me recordó perfectamente a un perfume que tuve hace bastantes años, el Paco Rabanne XS, es IDENTICO. Luego de eso fui al gimnasio y no me podia sacar de encima el olor, adicionalmente yo uso perfumes mas suaves y citricos como el Aqua di Gio profondo edp para el diario y gym. Pero este acaparaba toda mi nariz, no quiero olerlo nunca mas en la vida.

A true flanker in that it leans heavily on the original 212 VIP Black profile. Slightly richer and sweeter, but not syrupy sweet to me. The caramel is more like a lump of solid toffee than an overdose of syrupy sweetness and the pineapple is noticeable and very pleasant but does not scream over the original notes. I can't claim to know what wormwood smells like, but there is 'something' as the drydown is underway that I find quite green and pleasant, which I guess is that wormwood note. Obviously there is a polarising bottle design but I like it. It fits in with the '212' Manhattan styling and is very solid and has a nice feel to it. A good flanker done right in my opinion.

Beauty must be in the eye of the beholder because I think the bottle is absolutely gorgeous in the flesh. In a world of ripped male torso bottles, lightening strike bottles and giant plastic credit card bottles, I'm not sure why people are taking offence to this. It honestly looks awesome! (atomiser is just OK) I'm getting a more fruity Le Male Elixir from this although I've yet to compare side by side. Sweet nostalgic caramel gourmand with some fruit punch and pepper. I enjoy this a lot on first impressions and I'm looking forward to trying it during this cooler Spring we are having in the UK.

Take a trip to your local department store. Now go to the men’s fragrance section. Close your eyes and randomly grab something. Spray and sniff. Now take that an imagine a sloppy mess of syrupy pineapple and caramel running thru it. That’s 212 VIP Black Cab. Honestly, this smells like it could have come from any other brand. JPG, Rabanne, Valentino, Emporio Armani. It’s just another loud and sweet fragrance with a generic amberwood dry down. Bottle is cool, juice inside is underwhelming.

Im in love with the original 212 VIP black, its dry down is to die for but I cannot stand its topnote, Absinthe is not my cup of tea This new flanker blows me away, they totally replaced top note to something sweet and fruity, makes it youthful than ever and drydown to the original 212 VIP Black - creamy semi sweet and sexy fantastic scent, I really really love it. well done Carolina
