212 VIP Black NY

This is yet another underrated limited edition flanker from the 212 line. It is easy to see why, when there are so many released...it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. Particularly when the hype goes towards the Macy's noses of the world. Like the boy that cried wolf. Eventually no one listens. lol. Sometimes, I look upon the 'reminds me of' with a certain amount of skepticism. I tend to say, 'what are the chances that these people smelled one, or even less likely, both, of the fragrances they're comparing? Or are they 'note snipers' who simply look for correlations in notes and make assumptions? I'm leaning towards the latter. As an owner of both this and (I'm sorry to say) virtually all Halloween Man offerings, this isn't anything like X. The obvious CH flankers, sure. A little. But, this has a really nice blend that takes the coffee and vetiver and makes it almost leathery and suede-like, bringing this far closer in actual smell to something like Code Absolu or La Notte from Cavalli. Nice to see I'm not the only one. Glad to be of the small group of fragrance enthusiasts that aren't niche snobs nor Macy's fanboys. There are plenty of great fragrances out there if you ignore the influencers and just sample stuff...

Muy Rico. Lo compré y al principio me encantó. No se le siente casi el café a los primeros minutos pero mientras pasa el tiempo se van saliendo la notas a café muy ricas. En cuanto a duración no se cuánto duración, ya veremos, pero por ahora le doy un 10/10. Definitivamente si lo compras es porque buscas algo a café y maduro, si no, mejor buscar otra fragancia. Update: la duración no es muy buenas . Diría que es lo único que no me gusta. Pero de resto 10/10

A close relative of Halloween Man X, Paco Rabanne’s Phantom and Invictus Platinum, not that big of a twist from the regular 212 VIP Black, it has that Lavender note that smells a bit like the rubber tennis balls are made out of but it’s clean and pleasing, although it could be less sweet. It’s alright, average performance, good initial projection.

Amazing scent, specially if you like coffee fragrances. I wore it on last Christmas and it matches really well with this season of year. It's similar to the OG, but adding coffee made it better. This fragrance can be challenging for some noses, so I don't recommend blind buying it. Performance: 7/10 Challenging factor: 6/10

I really loved this one!! Main 4 notes to my nose are: lavander, absinthe, vetiver and coffee. It’s not a sweet fragrance, instead it is fresh. It does feel a bit earthy. Opens up with a lot of lavander, dries down with more coffee. Longevity is good, projection is average. Great release, very unique scent!!
