Definitely a more mature version of the original. Removed the boring vanilla note that every modern designer has these days, and added a subtle leather note that makes it more interesting, and at the same time, retains the OG DNA in the background. Moderate projection and excellent longevity. Don’t necessarily love it, but much better than the new Elixir.

212 with smoky woody leather and old school lavender. It’s a fine mature nocturnal scent, sure. But i don’t see how anyone would look for this scent

It's basically 212 VIP BLACK. I don't like that fragrance neither this one. Super sweet juvenile scent.

212 VIP Black NY Rodeo by Carolina Herrera is an aromatic and leathery fragrance. From the very first spritz, the leather scent is prominent. It retains the DNA of the 212 VIP Black line, but is less sweet and slightly more aromatic. As time passes, the aroma softens a bit, but only slightly, as the leathery accord mellows, and some aromatic elements, along with a very subtle touch of vetiver, become more prominent. Despite the leather accord, I find the fragrance suitable for three seasons: spring, autumn, and winter. It can be worn during the day but is more suited to evenings, the office, or as a signature scent. Its longevity has been good, lasting up to 10 hours with a moderate and noticeable sillage. This version of 212 VIP Black departs from the aromatic sweetness of other fragrances in this line, giving it a more mature feel. At times, it reminded me of Tom Ford's Ombre Leather. It's not a fragrance to buy blind, so I invite you to try it and form your own opinion.

The longevity is good, it lasts approximately 8-9 hours on my skin. This fragrance projects average too, with about a 6 ft radius for the 30 minutes, and a skin scent after about 2 hours. (Depends on skin types) Overall Rating (7/10) NY Rodeo is a change in direction in terms of what 212 VIP Black traditionally smells like. It has an aromatic opening with a leather mid and vetiver drydown. A must try for leather fans.

the bottle looks good but the scent is disgusting the leather is very prominent and this goes the same vibe as Bad Boy Elixir and Ralph Club elixir very offensive, old fashioned it has the Vip black 212's DNA but then fades away quickly 3/10
