212 VIP Rosé Red

Wow, I just blind bought this on a very special promotion on Sephora, the box just got here, I sprayed it and I am on heaven! This is perfect. It is fresh, sweet, sexy, pleasant, intriguing and also fun. This is definitely my favorite Carolina Herrera's fragrance (I have 212 VIP and Prive), very easy to wear, good for all occasions - date night, fresh day out, clubbing, dinner with friends, social event -, but maybe I will find it better for warmer days, as the tomato brings a kinda "tropical" vibe to it. Although I can also see myself wearing it on colder weather as it has this sweet vibe. I'm 26 and I feel this mix elements in a way that fit me very well: it's sweetness brings some youthful feeling to it, specially at the opening, but the green and the kinda aromatic vibe - that comes with the dry down - makes it less childish and more mature, classy and elegant, but not taking itself very seriously. Maybe the tiramisu brings this sweet note with a twist that makes it very special. I don't know...I am just in LOVE. Potencial for signature scent.

I received mine from Marshalls online recently. I love it! There's certain niche quality on it and definitely it does not seem like something Carolina Herrera would launch at all. I can say is totally unisex and worth the discounted price ( around $55-$56).

I haven't found anything as good as this in years! A strange but wearable and intriguing scent. I get fruits, spices and rose that all combine into vivid image of lush colour red in my mind.

To me this fragrance is like being enveloped by the aroma of warm, hot, and spicy fragrant tomato sauce in the air, while enjoying rich and decadent tiramisu with raspberry sauce and a hint of chocolate liqueur. Here and there you get the suggestion of a rose that sits in a vase on the table. This fragrance starts off strong, then phases out to be more moderate to quiet in projection after 30 minutes on the skin. The bottle is very enjoyable and unique; a bright red pill shape, with a very satisfying magnetic cap.

Overall, I'd say that that it is pleasant. The initial spray seemed fruity and spicy, kinda sharp, but in a nice way. After 30 minutes, it's softer, but warmer, too. The rose is probably contributing to this slightly powdery note that I'm getting. The sillage decreased significantly between 1-2 hours. 12 hours later, it's still here ever so faintly. The dry down is warm with just a hint of spiciness. I would probably respray it mid-day.

i blind bought this based on notes and previous reviews. the opening was a little more "mature" than expected (kind of grannyish?) but as it dries down I am enjoying the scent more and more. definitely can note the liquor and spice, guessing the rose is what's making it a little more matronly for me. this will definitely be a cool weather date night scent, perfect to pair with a lux sweater and red wine.

I get the acidity from the tomato, sweetness from the raspberries, earthiness from the patchouli and a hint of the rose. I don't get any tiramisu, nor liquor. It gives me some Black Perfecto La Petite Robe Noire vibes, but not a dupe. I like it, 8/10.

I wanted to love this and even kept it for a while after receiving hoping my tastes would mature but all i get is tomato and spices mixed with rose and that's just not the vibe

Edit : I eventually sold my bottle of this. The opening is really lovely but just doesn’t last at all. Becomes a patchouli rose skin scent very very quickly. Such a shame. ————————————————— Blind bought this (managed to nab it for £30) and I’m pleasantly surprised! Super sweet fruity opening gradually thickening into a boozy, creamy coffee scent with earthy rose and patchouli. Avoid if you don’t like boozy, sweet, syrupy scents. Love it as a night out fragrance.

it's not as bad as what you might think. the scent DNA is slightly overdone and common but until now i cannot put my finger on what it resembles. it's NOT soft, sweet and girly, it's warm, it's in your face, it has presence, but you knew you smelled it before. two sprays on paper it stayed on for a few hours (4-5 ish) so longevity is good in my opinion. it's good for entry level fragrance enthusiasts and the bottle is pretty for collection too! =)

An appetizing aroma - sweet AND savory. I love the tomato, tiramisu and rum notes in this fragrance - like a tall glass of a new flavored V8 juice -well blended and very nice! I believe Prince was describing this fragrance when he stated "It is like Starfish and Coffee Maple syrup and jam... and a side order of ham; If you set your mind free, baby - Maybe you'd understand."

Similar to angel eau sucree, sweet with sourish/spicy background, the patchouli is well pronounced and loud, but the dry down is much sweeter, I enjoyed the men’s better though!!

Don't be fooled by the fruity opening. The rest of it smells totally different. It goes in the same direction as Lady Vengeance and Montale's rose/patch/oud concoctions.

I wish there was a way you could take a note out of a perfume. Like when you go to a restaurant and order a dish without cheese, I'd like to hold the tomato, please!
