C Everytime i try a new flanker from the 212 line i get blown away... i’ve probably never experienced rum in fragrances before i think i’ve smelled it in velvet orchid TM but it wasn’t as prominent I always see 212 vip testers in stores but they’re always finished or broke So that’s the first time I actually smelled it properly I got into that store as usual walked straight to the CH counter [my fav brand] I found the 212’s and the vip was one of them Fortunately the vip bottle was broke and Almost just ALMOST finished there was just a bit And the sprayer head also was missing So i said oh hell nah i ain’t gonna get out of dat store without trying it again properly i need to know what this shit smells like Guess what ! Even the testers strips were finished FROM THE WHOLE STORE I said bruh that ain’t gonna stop me either I got 2 scent strips from another store got back to the perfume shop tried to spray it on the strip but the tip was missing the head sprayer so it hurts when i try to press the tiny white tip that spits I endlessly tried every possible way it was so hard but i happily managed to literally make the strip wet with all of the left bits in the bottle Ohhh my gaaaah that’s SOOO UNIQUE I was getting a woody patchouli like woodiness without any earthiness basically woody rum Then the sharp woodiness which Im really into developed and turned softer and the gardenia started to smell more noticeable with just hues of fruitiness from the passion fruit its not strong or even noticeable at all Then u’ll just be left with vanilla musk and gardenia at the end and the vanilla here is one of the best vanilla notes i’ve ever experienced Its really addicting and creamy a bit similar to the ones used in good girl but here its much better So its a boozy vanilla musky white floral scent With an absolute strong projection as we are used to from CH

I blind bought this at TJ Maxx on clearance for $18, and I don't think I would have paid more, based SOLELY on the fact that for my personal taste, the bottle comes across as cheap and tacky. But I just personally prefer bottles with more classic design like Chanel or Dior or Guerlain, and even Lancome - a bit classic. I've been looking at this at TJ's for weeks though (we don't have a fragrance counter anymore #countrylifeproblems) because I LOVE rich vanillas right now and a blizzard is blowing in, so boozy vanilla was perfect for today! I'm SO glad I gave it a try. I definitely get the rum and passionfruit right from the start, and then the vanilla - I find the pyramid pretty right-on. I don't pick out gardenia, but I think that's good because often it's a cloying note to my nose. As the rum and passionfruit fade a bit, the vanilla and tonka develop and they all stay softly blended from then on. I've had this on for 4 1/2 hours right now and I can still smell it- the sillage is not huge, but I think for the first couple hours it probably leaves a noticeable trail. I love this in cold weather, and I feel like the passionfruit gives it enough of a tropical/exotic note that you could do this for summer nights as a fun change. Definitely an any-time choice for fall and winter and cool, early spring days. Just wishing the bottle was more elegant but I'm sure lots of people find it fun.

Once, I smelled a girl in a restaurant... A prominent liquour, a pleasant acidity and sweet in the most seductive way. And it smelled very pricey which didn’t relate to her style. I asked her. Hearing the name (Herrera perfumes isn’t what I associate with taste, plus “VIP”...) I doubted to ever buy it. But here I am after several hesitations in the store (where I couldn’t test the scent btw) I decided to go for it. It was smelling so nice on this lady... so I ignored the fact that it has an embarrasing name and took it home. That was 2 hours ago and I am smelling it on my skin right now: cheapy, average, musky floral and passionfruit. Almost like Miami Glow by jlo. I would never wear it to a club where I am on the guest list. My man said something like you get what you give and yeah... I spent 20€ on it so I shouldn‘t even complain. I just don’t understand the magic of the girl in the restaurant and her scent. Edit: Some weeks and tests later... Yes, it contains too much mushy musc but I would wear it to a club and confess I did this scent a little wrong in my review. I am now spraying it before bed, on weekends, enjoying the rum, enjoying the perfumey but comforting and youthfull/sexy sillage. Compliment getter.

This fragrance is just HEAVEN. I'm on my sixth bottle (or something like that) and i will keep buying it for eternity. This one is for gourmand, sweet, boozy lovers. You get sweet passionfruit and vanilla from the moment you spray it. Also you can really smell the rum, not too overbearing but just enough to give it a kick. When you spray this, you will constantly want to smell your own wrist (or wherever you spray) because it's that addictive. This will get you lots and lots of compliments! It's my signature fragrance and although i don't use it as often as i used to, i keep it for special occasions or for sexy time ;) I also love it that it's not a very known fragrance like La Vie est Belle because you will really stand out when wearing this. Longevity is great, you get at least 8-10 hours on the skin (on clothes even longer) and projection is also quite good. Be prepared for people to come up to you and smelling you haha 10/10 would recommend (but maybe test it first because it's quite sweet and boozy)

Okay, let me just say that I absolutely LOVE the packaging of this one! Its possibly the best looking bottle that I have in my wardrobe. And the scent is equally gorgeous, if not better. I get sweet vanilla with a tinge of rum, and some fruity accords to add depth. It smells young, delightful and plain mouthwatering! I'm not much into sweet scents but this is an exception. This is the kinda scent you would want to wear when you just want to have a great time! Ps. I don't get the comparisions to Lady Million. I have that one too and I don't think they're similar at all. On second thoughts, it actually reminds me a lot of another Paco Rabanne fragrance, Black Xs.

Why does the bottle always draw me in when it comes to perfumes? =) Have i mentioned that the perfume cap is magnetic and it closes itself almost like a golden spaceship...lol and the actual glass bottle is encased in that beautiful metallic tube... need i talk about the "juice" inside of it 2? Ha ha ha - Just kidding =) of course i'm gonna talk about the perfume itself. It's such a beautiful smell. Starts off a bit fresh and crisp before morphing into a rich sweet warm scent. I want to love this but I just don’t. The notes pulled me into a blind buy that I just don’t reach for much. It’s got a blast of alcohol to kick off, then a spicy vanilla-y dry down - which sounds great, but just doesn’t feel very distinct. On the plus side, it lasts for a decent time and the notes sustained throughout the day. I love other Carolina Herrera perfumes but this one isn’t my favourite. I couldn’t pick it out from a line-up. Edit: I’ve been a bit hasty in my original review - this is a fantastic perfume for autumn/winter months. It’s spicy, warm and quietly persists for hours. Will I repurchase? Maybe, actually.

I got this some years ago when I had just started getting into perfume. I fell in love with the bottle and the boozy vanilla but I never wore it a lot. Today i rediscovered it from the back of my perfume wardrobe and sprayed it on a warm, sunny day. The vanilla was definitely there, but what I got was GARDENIA and so much of it! It was refreshingly beautiful and while the sillage was good enough, it never turned overwhelming even in warm weather. Gentle, sweet Gardenia with fluffy, warm, powdery vanilla and a hint of passionfruit. This perfume deserves a rebranding since that whole VIP thing is deceptive and misleading.

I have quite an old bottle - from ~ 2016. Its sparkling sweet and boozy. Judging by the notes - not for me at all, yet it’s fantastic and I love it. Vanilla is dense and it doesn’t turn into dirty body scent on me (as it happens with other vanilla frags). Rum is tasty, musk is soft. One of my favorites for sure, although I tend to take some breaks from it. After each break I like it even more :) it stays for hours on skin and for days on the clothes, it’s a very good frag for outdoor parties, but it is also indoor-safe. It will fill the room with poshy vibe.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this perfume! I could honestly smell it all day long and not get bored of it!It's warm and vanilla sweet but not too sweet, with hints of passionfruit and a warming slightly spiced edge of rum. By looking at the notes it has in it I wouldn't have guessed I would love it so much because I try and avoid overly-sweet perfumes that have too much vanilla in but this one is perfect. It manages to be womanly, sexy and girly all at the same time! And it lasts well on the skin too! I also love the bottle ;) definite thumbs up for this perfume!

My husband loves this on me. He normally loves Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior and Jo Malone, so I was surprised when he immediately said he loves this. I’m definitely going to be wearing it a lot! I love when he thinks a fragrance is amazing on me. I’ve owned it a couple years and only worn it a couple times. It’s a lovely fragrance, and the rum is nice alongside a clean gardenia and the tropical passion fruit. Usually for winter and fall, I like a bolder fragrance. But I think the compliments this garners means it works on me, so it’s now a love!

I got this one In a swapp this week from kione(thank you so much my dear) I already knew this one, and it was in my like shelf,now I put in the love shelf, I only tested it once before I found it sweet, but nothing speciall, now I changed my mind, it ́s very good, such as sillage and longetivity, wich in fact is what I care most, and so is the bottle so cute like gold, so sophisticated, and it actually smells pretty much like rhum, wich I like, and vanila as well I really enjoy it, and I ́m glad I have it :)

Second chance, second glance. This was first a disappointment to me, later a guilty pleasure and now it's my go to scent. Seriously, if you're a sucker for a good quality fruity scent, like I am, try it. I like Amouage Sunshine, SL Feminite du Bois, Girl gone Bad by Kilian and such normally that have fruits and a woody base. And this won my heart. Day and night, fruity rum, pleasant creamy dry down. A classy fruity fragrance in an affordable price range. Love.

I believe this has been reformulated. I had this fragrance back in 2012, and it was different compared with a sample I recently got in a store. The opening and the first 15-30 min. seem to resemble. I do get the rum, the vanilla and the passion fruit, with hints of tonka. But what comes after is almost nothing like I remembered. A sweet sort of a boozy note. Nothing else... Where is the glamorous, sparkling, golden fragrance that I love?...

My signature scent in the last 4 years. It’s sexual, bold,glamorous and I adore it.Is great for a date night or special occasions. I wear this more in the summer nights, I don’t see this suitable for winter. Doesn’t matter how many other perfumes I have I still come back to this one, I never can get enough of this scent.What I don’t like is that on my skin stays only maximum 2 hours. For the price it should stay more.

Thanks to my friend Jillzilla I got a chance to try this lovely perfume. I absolutely love this stuff. To me it is very gourmand with notes of jammy berries and vanilla/tonka bean. Then after a while it kind of turns into this rum vanilla berry cake smell that is just divine!!!! I could not stop smelling my wrist all night after I sprayed this on. Great lasting power too! Two thumbs way up for this one!!!!

Very nice smell. It is very sweet, and i got spiced rum and vanilla as the strongest notes. I also smelled something citrusy in it, although there aren't any citrus notes. The base was definetely tonka bean. This fragrance is an all-day fragrance, but best for the night. Try this perfume on skin, because on paper it smells quite different than how it smells in skin. Nice fragrance! :)

Is absolutely gorgeous, it does have a bit of 'aftermath of the party' boozy waft. I love it, but it's perhaps better for night as I worry people think I'm an alcoholic when I wear it first thing in the morning. Once when wearing it, I had a very tipsy man tell me that I smelled delicious and he wanted to eat me up. Suspect it may have been the rum note coming out in the perfume ...

There is a perfect harmony between a bottle and its content. It looks and it smells like some alcohol of limited edition. Very gourmand, it is like those chocolate candies filled with cognac (or rum in this case). It is very warm, however I would ware it in summer with no hesitation. It is boozy, sexy and expensive. Highly recommending, it was a blind buy and total hit.

ok, so i got a bottle of this the other day and I absolutly love it, it's ALMOST as good as my Burberry Brit Sheer. I dont get any real defined scents in this one, but just the overall smell is amazing and it lasts FOREVER! i put a little on at 11am and it is now 10pm and it is still going strong! one of the best perfumes i have ever smelt! seroiusly... go buy one!

Gorgeous, sexy, sweet, elegant, fun and fresh. This is my party fragrance! I have it every night I go out and I loove it! I love the rum note, it's so outstanding, this perfume does not remind me of any other. It's not the smell you just like and then forget, it's the smell you remember. The longevity is good and the sillage is great. I also love the bottle.

Reminds me of Gucci Guilty which I have loved for many years. VIP 212 is full of energy and is so sexy, playful, fun. Ready to party definitely! It is not a perfume to wear for dinner, at the office, in the park. It is for a romantic date, an adventurous road trip, a gettaway by the fireplace. It smells exciting, warm and luxurious.

Love this one and love it even more as I got it for a bargain price. It is sweet but not cloyingly sweet as some of the other vanilla gourmands can be. Very good for daytime and nightime use, pretty inoffensive, wish that sillage would be stronger but anyway, it definitely gets thumbs up from me!

This is my ultimate favourite perfume and has become somewhat of a signature for me. it’s strong at first but dries down into that sweet warm vanilla rum scent that stays on your clothes. it just works for me and is sweet and feminine without being childish or overly girly.

At first, it hit me strongly and I thought I won't like it buuut I was so wrong :) One of my favorite fragnance after so many years. Perfect for cold weather, long duration - I can spray it on around lunchtime and still smell it the next morning. Great great great.

This is going to sound weird but this reminds me of a Barbie doll I had as a kid . Barbie came with some glitter gel for her hair and it smelled like this perfume 🤩 I had that Barbie on a summer holiday so it is a positive memory .

this perfume is soooooo good!!!! I really love it, unfortunely the smell just last as much 2 hrs. I thought mine was fake, so I went to various stores and try it on my skin, guess what??? is not fake, just a bad perfume. :(

I loved the scent when i first got it however after using it everyday for 5 months i got sick of it. But at first I was in love with it. I get so many compliments whenever I wore this. I recommend you to try it in a store

my childhood in a bottle, i was more into feminine scents when i was young and i tried this once and i never wanted another perfume used it for few years and loved it until i out grew it.

Warm sexy rum and vanilla for an evening occasion. It smells a little bit "old fashioned", but still is a good smell. My husband likes it on me , so I guess it is a keeper

One of the most sexy perfume ever. This is always in my collection and I never get bored with it. Perfect for a date, feminine and seductive. Totally recommend it.

This smells like a very sexy Cuba libre cocktail in the best way, but replace the lime with the passionfruit. Also it layers beautifully with pure xs by rabanne.

I tried this some time ago, i love sweet fragances and this was perfect to me. Loved the rum and vanilla notes. A very good, sweet and sexy perfume. I want it!

212 VIP is a very important perfume...this perfume give me passion and energy...it reminds me "It's party time"...for me a history perfume!!!

I'd have to agree with most of the reviewers in that this is a nice fruited rum with spice and vanilla. :) But with that being said I find the overall composition rather dull. :( It opens( obviously) with a lightly syrupy and sweet note of rum then quickly phases thru the mid notes and finally settles down and goes super spicy with a rather weak Tonka addition that inevitably falls flat on my skin. This one didn't stand out for me and it's not a perfume I'd consider very sexy or should I say "V.I.P.". When I did decide to wear it, those were casual and work related occasions. It's a solid scent but it doesn't encroach on new territory and has limited sillage, character or "je ne sais quoi". If I were a V.I.P on a night in the town I can envision a whole slew of sexy, stylish, femme fatale fragrances that would easily fit the bill and frankly folks...212 V.I.P isn't one of them. If you just wanted a spiced vanilla scent with a little syrup then you really wouldn't have to look very far. I'd list 'em but there are a far too many to name that are more affordable, have more character and better lasting power. 212 V.I.P simply doesn't fit it's own standards by which the marketing and advertising suggests. o.O

Of all the 212 scents, VIP is my very favorite. While I didn't dislike the others, I just feel that VIP has that extra "je ne sais quoi" that the others were missing. 212 VIP starts out with a sharp bold blast of rum and a subtle fruitiness. I actually find the initial booziness a little overwhelming, and this is coming from a girl who adores a strong rum note. However, within minutes that sharp alcohol note calms down to a warm soothing rum scent, with a soft floral note, and slightly nutty smelling undertones, until the sweet vanilla-tonka composition emerges to the forefront. The sweet creaminess of this fragrance is definitely on the gourmand side, which is what initially attracted me to it. I have a small bottle of this because I don't wear it very often. I have other scents which satisfy my rum, tonka and vanilla cravings, which last longer (this is a 5 hour fragrance on me). The sillage is pretty good though. But when I do wear it, I always enjoy it very much, and then I say to myself that I should wear it more, because I like it very much. Now, of course, with winter rapidly approaching, is a perfect time of year to give this scent the attention it deserves.

I decided to try a second fragrance by Carolina Herrera - the first one I tried was 212 Sexy and it was nice but linear and flat... I had a hope for a great rum, being a fan of Guess by Marciano and curacao note lately. What did I get? Unfortunately, another flat fragrance! Flat and weakly developing notes, actually it looks as if ingredients were of poor quality compared to the price of a bottle. The fragrance is nice but nothing special... Rum with vanilla at first, then gardenia showed up for a moment, then all became flat and musky - tonka - beanish... It seems too much attention was put into the look of the bottle (gold! gold! let them imagine they're rich! :P) and the VIP image (let's make women feel special) - the ad and "Are you on a VIP list?" get on my nerves - pretentious! I expected nice rum, I got a weak fragrance that could be better if it wasn't so flat like a cheap perfume. Base notes last long though. I wear it from time to time when I want to smell rum ;) Fragrance: 3/5 Bottle: 2/5

Bold, sexy, sultry, enticing, modern, ambery, warm, vanillic, feminine fragrance! 212 VIP starts out with a very prominent bold boozy rum note with hints of passion fruit that is sweet but not overly sweet – beautiful composition! I barely detect any floral notes. The dry down is also beautiful with its warm sensual touch of vanilla and tonka bean and traces of musk! This one surprised me! I never thought I would love rum in a perfume! I mean, who would have thought that rum in a perfume would be so divine?! But this is very well created. Yummy fragrance that remains sexy at the same time. Perfect for gourmand lovers! The sillage is very good! And the longevity is average but holds just enough to last you though the night. This perfume makes a great going out, party, nightclubbing fragrance! The whole concept and the name ‘VIP – Are you on the list?’ fits with the scent very well. Suitable to wear in the autumn & winter months. I am also loving the big golden bottle with the magnetic cap!

Nose-blowing experience and the olfactory bulb receptors in my frontal brain lobe seem to be quite enthusiastic! First of all, this is not an original fragrance, but it's intoxicating in all the good ways! I don't own the perfume, I just got a free sample while buying another perfume. I tried it when I got it and left it on for about 6 hours, but I will run the ultimate test tomorrow, when I'll wear it for a full day to check longevity, sillage and, obviously, reaction from people... It'll be quite daring, as this has 'night' written all over. However, for some reason, it doesn't seem that heavy for day wear, and this is coming from somebody whose nose isn't usually fond of sweet heavy perfumes, is a 31 year-old and a smoker. But the pungency and scented rum and woody warmth slightly annihilates the sweetness. I am at least intrigued towards a smell-trance at first sniff, which is why I leave this review here.

212 VIP is a boozy gourmand scent. It is pretty, but I find it too similar to previous 212 versions. The opening rum note is outstanding, that's true, but it only lasts a few minutes. The rum note is beautiful, bold, passionate...it blends amazingly well with the passion fruit, but it fades quickly, along with all those wonderful traits. After that, you are left with a fragrance base reminiscent of 212 or 212 Sexy. These two fragrances I love, but I wanted 212 VIP for the booze! To be fair, during dry down vanilla is the only note that remains distintive, but it is the non-foody kind,so don't expect a creamy vanilla. I like 212 VIP, if it weren't for the volatile rum note, I would have loved it! That note could have been better executed. If only the rum note would permeate the vanilla base throughout dry down, it would have been a beautiful perfume... Average sillage and poor longevity...

This gourmand fan is very pleased! I tried a dupe of this first and fell in love with the pink pepper and vanilla so I saved up to compare my knockoff to the original. Amazingly, the dupe contains nearly ALL the notes of the original but this is even longer lasting and more complex than its cheaper little sister. Sweet, sweet and more sweet for this sugar-scent lover! For some reason, I never get the coveted rum note but that's fine with me since the pink pepper, spices and vanilla more than make up for it. When I hold my wrist up to my nose I detect an unlisted cinnamon note that balances out the spices nicely & the passion fruit/gardenia come through softly in the background with the drydown. I don't just like this perfume- I LOOOOVE it!! It blends beautifully into my skin and lingers for hours! Time to save up and invest in an even bigger bottle. :)
