Bad Boy Cobalt Parfum Electrique

TLDR; Love this on my boyfriend. A unique fresh fragrance for those who have liked this “genre” in the past. Men with complementary body chemistry may find the truffle note grounds this in a very sexy and earthy way, playing up their more natural, “masculine” musk. That’s a rare find and peculiar accomplishment for a fresh fragrance. /end I’m the girlfriend who bought this as a gift, and the designated “scent lover.” I’ve tried to introduce this world to my partner. He prefers to have one fragrance, with maybe one or two other options for different weather or dates. I knew he liked freshies, he’s used invictus in the past. To me, this one was perfect option in that realm without being too cookie cutter (he loved it as well.) As you’d expect, this is one of those “sweet” men’s fresh fragrances that has a really definable profile and line up. I staunchly disagree that it lacks its own character or place. You can’t go wrong with a lavender and pink pepper opening, and the geranium in this is played up. There’s a bite to it. It’s not really aromatic or green, but almost minty and somehow tart. It still holds steadfast to that common quality of these freshies, the plum note they created here bringing that sweetness. It makes me think of if you were to eat the skin of the plum first, getting little nibbles of the actual fruit while grazing on the much more tart and green portion. I also never get tired of a cedar and vetiver heart. Fun fact, truffle smells like (and contains) Androstenol, the by-product of testosterone. It’s responsible for a man’s natural “musk” scent, so by creating a truffle base it’s likely they were trying to emulate a more lived-in scent that smells like a damn man. It worked, its smells so so good on my partner and mixes with his natural scent (and even sweat) perfectly. It’s really his perfect every day scent. I bet that aspect really varies based on the individual, but the truffle addition grounds this fragrance perfectly and adds an earthy element. I didn’t love the idea of the lightening bolt bottle. Ironically, purchasing the largest 5.1 oz changed my mind. Very well made and heavy, and the glass fade is a nice touch. Depending on your decor style, this could be a nice “eclectic” display bottle. Unimportant side note: If I were to be completely honest, I think there’s a level of snobbery surrounding men’s fragrances that’s kind of sad and is reflected in reviews here. I won’t begrudge them, I feel like in some ways there’s a lack of perceived masculinity to enjoying fragrances, so to separate from that people may feel drawn to invoke a sense of luxury, success, or exclusivity (which often means snubbing some great stuff because it was created by a main stream brand they dislike, even subconsciously.) For the sake of fragrances, this is great! If you put this in a plain, blank bottle and THEN had people test it, I’d be interested to see if their opinions differ. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. We all know our brains are literally wired to intake scent differently. I think it’s a real gem, and it will be my partners signature for a very long time.

Surprisingly nice; plum is definitely a note that's not used often in mens perfumery but it works here. Its followed by geranium then lavender. Its geranium is similar to the YSL Y dna amount. Despite the accord breakdown listing woods at the top, I do smell it the least in the opening. As it dries the woody base pokes through. Its moderately sweet, which helps its projection. Definitely too sweet when you're sniffing it up close but not cloying to those around you. I don't detect any truffle, so that's probably only faintly incorporated. Dont buy if you're not into fruity fragrances. Its very unisex, leaning masculine. What I do like is there's a VERY strong aquatic portion that's interestingly not listed. You'll instantly know what I mean when you smell it, perhaps its the way they're isolating the plum that's giving that accord illusion. I mention this because an aquatic accord often have very weak performance, yet Bad Boy Cobalt Parfum Electrique has a very decent performance. I get 6 hours of moderate projection. I do think Carolina Herrera suffers with their mens line, compared to their women's line which is hard to compete with! However, this is a very good edition & in my opinion the best mens fragrance they make besides their limited edition releases & or their cold weather fragrances (Birds of Paradise, one of the best tea notes around yet no one talks about it, or Pasión, a great iris scent)

I think this is my favorite blue fragrance that I've tested so far. I loved the evolution that it had on my skin throughout the day. It goes heavy on that blue DNA in the opening and reminded me a lot of Sauvage. However, it's a lot smoother and also a little fresher, making it less sharp on the nose than Sauvage, which I like better. As it dries down, the blue punch of the opening starts to progressively fade away, giving way to a more fresh and sweet leaning, which is where I think the Hawas/Invictus Platinum comparisons come from. As more time passes, the plum note becomes more and more accentuated, but without making the fragrance excessively sweet or cloying. Performance to me was pretty good, longevity and projection were overall very nice throughout the day. It even lasted as skin scent on me til the next day, which is awesome. Price is also another positive of this fragrance in my opinion. I can get the 150ml of Bad Boy Cobalt in a significantly cheaper price than the 100ml of Sauvage or Y EDP where I live, which is pretty good value. Overall, I believe this is a pretty underrated fragrance. In my opinion it deserves to be talked about as much as the other big blue fragrances like Sauvage, Y EDP or Dylan Blue. Definitely one of the quickest scents to go from decant to full bottle for me so far.

Got 3 Sample Bottles after purchasing in Macy's so I decided to give this fragrance a try for a few days. - - - - - The Opening: Was a bit sharp, almost a tad synthetic for like the first 5 minutes or so after application, it dies down and becomes a lot more smoother hitting you with the lavender and plum followed by the oak and cedar (I think the sharp semi-synthetic hit was more due to my nose being a bit more sensitive and making my nostrils flare up, only happened on the first time i tried it). - - - - - Drydown: After around 15 mins or so, it shifts to a soft woodsy lavender with the plum taking a step back and the vetiver and truffle getting to know each other as the smell hits you. Its smooth, soft yet rugged, a masculine woodsy blue scent that is perfect for most climates except the cold (because lets be honest, a fresh blue scent like this in the cold is like airplane food, your senses would be muted by the environment, so it will be too weak to be noticeable.) - - - - - Conclusion: This is a lovely scent for me to use during casual environments like work or just going places that aren't too fancy. Will definitely be buying a bottle of this along with the new flanker, Cobalt Absolute once my samples run out, I gotta review that one too later on...

I didn't think much of bad boy fragrances, but one day i tried the elixir version of this out in the mall and i fell in love with the scent profile. Kinda hesitated between that and this one, and altough i think the elixir ahs more depth and smells richer and a bit better, i chose this bicause this is way more versitale than the elixir one. The scent on this is fenominal too, it has that typical blue fragrance versitality, but i think compared to the other mainstream blues this one kinda stands out and is more unique than those. so this fufills the all around all ocasion scent for me perfectly. It also gives off that badboy-cool vibe for me nonchalant per say. My only problem with this fragrance is that you go completly noseblind to it almost instantly to the point that everyone smells it on you but you dont smell it at all and i like to get a whiff of my fragrance ebery once in a while so that doesnt appeal to me much. Also the blue fragrances get kinda boring to me fairly quickly, this one sadly included, but i have to say altouhugh i got used to it by now this is in my oppinion the best blue fragrance for me, the fruity vibe i like very much. 8.5/10

This is the best and most unique fresh fragrance on the market. To give a comparison I have smelt the whole YSL Y line. To me those Y line fragrances are very generic and boring and i feel those are really hyped and disappointing. But when i tried this OMG this is fresh and so unique i never smelt anything like this before so youthful yet so comforting and beautiful. I will be buying the 150ml bottle. Opens fresh and fruity while being unisex . The most unique looking bottle design. The atomiser uff very smooth. The longevity and performance are also great for a designer. Longevity around 6 to 7 hours and projection is ohk like 2 feet for first few hours. This is very underrated and not talked about much I wish this deserved more love. This is a good blind buy you can blindly buy this for gifting as well and the person won’t be disappointed. This is a all rounder and could be worn anytime anywhere any weather very versatile and signature scent worthy. To me this is love in first spray damn . I have also tried the cobalt elixir, it has a the same dna but thats more mature and has better performance.

Hot take - But I am someone who thinks the Bleu de Chanels, the Y EDP and the 100 other Ys, the Blue Talismans, and the numerous other "blue" and "fresh" fragrances are boring, plain, and ill even say generic. And that if I wanted to smell like shower gel, like all the cool influencers describe these, Id just spray myself with some Axe and call it a day. This is the only "blue" fragrance in my collection. Its fruity with the plum, sharp with the pepper, a bit of earthy notes from the truffles. There is something about this that makes it one of my favorite summer fragrances in my 200+ collection. (Though, I do wear it year round).. and completely unique to all of those other fragrances mentioned before. I wish I could find others similar to CH Bleu Electrique Cobalt Parfum (or however you say it lol) Although, they are not the exact same, Coach For Men comes very close. That too is one of my go-to summer frags.

Ser fresco es lo que obviamente lo lleva a ser elegido para ocasiones variadas, pero su pequeño toque dulzón le da justo lo que le falta a otros perfumes frescos para salir de la zona neutra. Es cómodo de llevar, no satura y gusta bastante. Aunque falla en duración, podría tener más. Es buena elección para salidas casuales por la ciudad, en calor moderado, de día o noche, incluso para hacer deporte (dependerá cuál). I've already made a review on Cobalt, but I'd want to make a disclaimer about the 150ml bottle as an owner of one. The 150ml bottle doesn't have the usual Bad Boy atomizer that's built in on the cap like the 50ml and 100ml versions. Instead, it has a more regular atomizer that's very bad. Initially, I was finding it really strange that my fragrance wasn't performing as well as the decant I had. Then, I started to suspect my bottle's atomizer wasn't delivering the juice well enough to my skin in comparison to the decant, so I started to go a little harder on the trigger and the performance was just like what I was used to with the sample. So, if you also get an 150ml, I'd really suggest you to go harder on the sprays, as I believe this fragance was designed taking into account the other versions' atomizer, which sprays way better than the 150ml bottle's horrible one.

I asked my son & daughter (20 & 16 years old) to pick out a cologne for me for Father's day - find something that they liked - and this is the one they picked. My first impression was a like, but I've grown to love it. It goes on with a balanced fresh combo of fruit, lavender, and pepper that's very pleasant. The eventual dry down is wonderful, with a blue woodsy accord but with a noticeable and very likeable plumb note. There's something about this that reminds me of Dylan Blue, but with a fresher more playful feel. The longevity here is great, with a still noticeable skin scent a good 10+ hours later. One might complain that this isn't super unique, but it's still an excellent crowd pleasing, versatile kind of designer scent that's a delight to wear. Thanks from dad, kiddos!

Bad Boy Cobalt Parfum Électrique – Carolina Herrera This one is easily one of my favorites in the Bad Boy line. It leans clean, fresh, and aromatic with a nice mix of woody and fruity notes, backed by lavender and a soft spicy/herbal touch. There’s also a subtle sweetness and a light rosy-earthy vibe that keeps it interesting without ever being too heavy. Super easy to wear — honestly works anytime, anywhere. My only issue is performance. For an EDP, I expected more. On my skin, I get around 2 hours max, and I tend to go nose blind to it pretty quickly, which is a bit disappointing. Because of that, I definitely find myself overspraying. Overall though, the scent itself is a banger — clean, versatile, and compliment-worthy. Rating: 4/5 ⭐

Finally got around to purchasing this as it's been on my radar for a few years. First time smelling it was from a sample on a purchase from macys. I think it was azzaro most wanted edti. Im on day two of a full wearing and I gotta say it's pretty unique imo. Ive got a few blues. None of which are similar. To me, this has two stages. The opening, with that bright pop. Lavender and plum, with a little pepper. Then the drydown. Its definitely earthy. I get a ton of cedar mixed with the vetiver. Im sure the oak and truffle help add to the almost dirt smell in the background. It sound weird and it is. But thats what makes this stand alone in my collection of blues. Not my favorite blue by any measure. But it's the most unique for sure.

My go to gym scent/ going somewhere where I just want to smell good. I tend to associate blue fragrances with gym scent, but its still perfect for all occasions If sauvage had a cooler older brother, this would be it. Has that classic masculine blue DNA, that we all know and love, however with an added twist. Bad Boy Cobalt introduces this plum and lavender note combo. Really addicting, and lasts really well, around 8 hours with great projection. For starting out, and you do not care, just want to smell good, this is the one. Such an easy reach and is quite affordable. 8.3/10 (p.s Benzzo, I had the problem where the top broke too (the middle sprayer part), however I was able to fix it with a touch of super glue.

Bad Boy Cobalt Longevity:9/10 Silage:8.2/10 Scent Profile:9.7/10 Holy crap. This is one of the best bottle designs I have ever seen, and the actual fragrance lives up to that beautiful bottle design and atomizer. It starts off with a peppery and sweet opening kick, resembling a blue jolly rancher in my opinion. Then, there is a slight rubber undertone, but it's still not noticeable because the plum dominates the heart of the fragrance. Then, it takes a turn and finishes sweet and woody. Like how the hell is this that good? It's my number 2 right now, and that's probably going to stay for a long, long time. (Side Note: It's my number six now that I bought Vibrato, but still a great everyday fragrance.) 9.4/10

I've only worn this a couple times so far, but I really like it. To me, it smells like you took some blueberries, lavender, and dirt and mashed them together between your hands, and as you crushed the ingredients with all your might, a few substantial beads of sweat dripped from your brow and got mixed in. But your sweat smells great because you're on a carnivore diet. I really like Coach for men, and this definitely has a similar tone, but, for me at least, the Cobalt just lasts longer than the Coach and performs better overall. If you're a fan of fresh, versatile, blue scents like I am, give this one a shot. You can wear this anywhere, anytime.

Day two of wearing and man im surprised at the performance of this frag! I work security in Florida doing 10 hour shifts and I can STILL smell it at the end of my shift. On my skin projection and sillage is pretty strong for about 3-4 hours! After that you still have a pretty decent scent bubble. Synthetic? Sure, but does it smell good? Absolutely! I dont get as much sweetness as other reviews here but I do get a clean shower gel vibe. There is a touch of sweetness to it but to my nose it's not cloyingly sweet. For the price which was about $65 for a 100ml on jomashop this was a win for me. This will be in the rotation for a while!

What a nice fragance. It has been my signature scent for years, it opens with a nice touch of pink pepper and lavender which remains in the dry down blending with the woody notes and hints of plum and geranium in the heart. It is marked as a day fragance but for me, its an all-in for the night, mostly for parties and more personal gatherings. The longevity is okay, just dont expect a beast mode, but it stays on skin for long hours. Same with the sillage, but with this one, it really depends on the temperature and time of the day. I can recommend this fragance but hey, dont blind buy it, at least smell it once before getting it.

After I decided not to buy this, I received two 2 ml samples and used them throughout the year starting in February when it was cold. In cool weather, the plum was a stand out and the scent finally distinguished itself from others I already had, specifically Benz Sign and Coach for Men. After trying it in the cold, I had to get a bottle. It's warm out now and I still really like it. I tried it in high heat and it wasn't as enjoyable but for cool weather, it might be my favourite western designer release featuring a plum note since Guerlain Ideal Extreme and Paco Rabanne 1m. Lucky.

This is SO good. The opening is just fantastic. The lavender and plum with the geranium to add greenness and pink pepper to brighten it up. It's really is uplifting and fresh but with some slight darkness to it. When it dries down it's less "electrique" but it moves to a slight soapy shower gel type of smell. But slight earth from the truffle and light woods . I think it's fantastic. It has characteristics that make it suitable for year round wear. Performance isn't bad at all. A solid 6 hours . 9/10

Invigorating and energetic scent profile, spraying Cobalt is like cracking open a can of red bull. It's what you imagine an athletic guy in their 20s or someone with a good physique would wear. Had girls tell me I smell like a nightclub. Perfect fragrance for a night out in summer, parties / clubbing, gym, or doing anything active. Honestly one of the best mass appealing, fruity fresh summer scents on the market. Smelling it alone will make you want to get in shape.

This is up there with one of the best blue fragrances. Starts off very fruity and woody. The plum and lavender in this is a great combo. Then it drys down to an earthy sort of smell but not in a bad way. Sort of reminds me a bit of a fruity sweeter suavage. Lasts pretty well on my skin 5-6 hours and clothing maybe 8 or 9. Perfect for a summer night out or fall around Halloween time. But this can be worn anytime, morning as well. This one is a banger 10/10 🔥🔥

Sooooo good. I just bought 50ml of this. I’m not meant to be buying anymore fragrances for a while after buying 2 other bottles in a month (now 3). But I made an exception with this. So fruity, clean and uplifting. Everyday scent, inoffensive, something I will personally enjoy smelling off myself. Reminds me of a blue slushy but it doesn’t feel childish, all year around fragrance but probably not in heatwave. I think I will go through a lot of this stuff

Smells like a fresh blue shower gel with a fruity gummy bear background on the opening and the pleasant woody notes creep in slowly as it evolves. Nobody would not like smelling this. It's strong performing but not too strong and slightly fruity sweet but never headache inducing. The notes all blend in so well together and you can smell them at different times throughout wearing this. I may well treat myself to a full bottle of this in the new year.

this is my second favorite cologne of all time currently. the opening really does smell like a jolly rancher but the dry down is much more woody and masculine. i personally like the opening more than the dry down but that doesn’t smell bad either so can’t complain. ALSO, idk why everyone voted average longevity and average sillage bc i sprayed this on a tester strip two times and my entire room smelled like it for 3 days, 6 ft away. 8.9/10

So it’s great, it’s safe...plum opening is refreshing rather than citrus or bergamot it’s clean yet sophisticated not as fresh and blue de Chanel not as mysterious as sauvage it’s like smack dab in the middle! I can see anyone wearing this young or old, maybe one of my best blind buys at this point dry down is woody with a touch of truffle earthy. I’m a fan, I layered it with Ralph Lauren polo club New York and it’s 🔥

Although it has Lavender & Pepper on top and that's why smells kind of like Sauvage EDT (but softer!) at the beginning, but thanks to Geranium & Plum it definitely does have its own personality, especially when the top notes are gone. And it's softer, so it's not offensive and can easily be worn in cramped spaces, unlike Sauvage. It's suitable for any age group, "any occasion, any season, any reason" © Hamza Saab.

This one is so GOOD. My bf wears this and I just wanna get down on MY knee and ask HIM to marry ME. This one is very plummy, and often when I wear Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, I find we smell the same. Bad Boy Cobalt is just the guy version of Midnight Fantasy by Britney, in the best way of course. It's a little more masculine: spicy and woodsy clean smell, but still has that sweet, syrupy plum to it!

To all the people throwing hate at this one before you even smell it....why?! This looks promising to me - love plum in fragrance! Everything else looks pretty basic modern-mens fragrance. Definitely going to be trying this before I decide one way or another, I guess my nose just isn’t as good as those of us who can smell it by looking at the pictures/write up! 🤣

hell yeah this is good just tried it 4 hours ago unfortunately it’s not giving me the performance i hope for it projected well the first 3 hours but it has now become a skin scent such a shame because i want to smell like the whole tiiimeeeeeemmmmmmmmyesss it’s so sexy im not gay but this is what i want to smell if i was about to with a man hold on i might be gay

This has turned into a love for me. After wearing bleu de chanel for the past decade and trying out a few other blues. Cobalt is the new king. I would wear this over any Y flanker. The blue vibe with the plum is an absolute lady killer. They love it! Young and old ones. Woman love fresh/sweet fragrances. Its evident af here...

Bad boy Cobalt is an amazing summertime fragrance, especially for a younger audience as it is really fruity and masculine with that plum note really popping. Its projection and longevity is alright but is still usable. This fragrance has gotten me many compliments and is one that I will continue to wear in the future.

Carolina herrera bad boy cobalt. Absolutely amazing everyday blue fragrance. Its good for young dudes who wanna smell good and fresh. I love the bottle, it has a good atomizer too. I really love that plum note in there. It lasts around 7 hours on me. This gotta be one of the best blue fragrances on the market. 8/10

It smells very good and is perfect for everyday wear all year round. I really enjoy the plum note that smells juicy and sweet and the performance is also good. Mine came with a broken atomizer, so I had to transfer the juice into another spray bottle. Has anyone else experienced this issue with CH Bad Boy bottles?

Opens up with a burst of fruity plum and drys down to a sweet lavender and earthy-ness. The opening is definitely the best part but the dry down smells great as well. Perfect all year round signature scent for me. One of the best blue fragrances for someone youthful or any guy who wants to smell sweet and fresh

I find myself reaching for this often during spring. It's a fruity, blue type scent. Not complicated at all. It's well done, smooth. Some people can consider this not unique. And I can see why they say that. But it still pulls compliments, lasts a good time and projects well. It's a good scent. W for me

A sweet and sour plum scent. It's a really nice sourness. It's balanced by lavender, and there are very light woody notes underneath. It lasts quite a long time, about 10 hours on my skin. On clothes, it can last for days. The sillage is quite good; you can definitely smell it in the same room.

Got it as a Gift. Pretty straightforward. Designer Aromatic. Mass Appeal, Blind Buy Safe. Love the smell, but I was it had a citrus aspect to it. Something like a Dior Homme Cologne type of Accord would've taken this to a whole different level. Would buy again, would recommend.

Absolutely amazing, it’s perfect. Better for younger ages but that’s why it fits me. Smells really clean and the best blue fragrance I’ve ever smelt, if not it’s 2nd to bdc. I would recommend everyone to at least give it a sniff it’s beautiful. Perfect for any occasion. 9.4/10

I frickin’ LOVE this fragrance! I find it so intoxicating and never cloying at all under any circumstances. Masculine and powery but still seductive. I just wish it lasted longer. Definitely want to overspray on this liberally. Safe blind buy for Spring-Summer.

i usually don't care for the powdery type of fragrances, but this one i really dig. it's a fantastic smelling cologne. not too smoky, not too fruity. just the right amount of each note. it's like a good version of hawas. if hawas was made by competent perfumers

Such a good fragrance. The compliments received while wearing this fragrance filled my satisfaction. Best worn in spring and summer. The lavender note strikes your nose as first as you spray the fragrance on you, definitely the “star” note out of them all.

I personally love Carolina Herrera's signature style. I feel that most of their perfumes are very versatile and can be worn on any occasion, smelling wonderful and elegant. A fresh and delightful alternative that anyone could enjoy. Definitely a blind buy!

Way better than the Bad Boy and Bad Boy Elixir. Impressive fresh lavender opening. Reminds me of Dior Sauvage but with a herbal overdose. Once it settles it looses much of that powerful entrance but still smells great, with the wood and leather kicking in

Probably the best Bad Boy to come out to this day. A very masculine aromatic fruity scent. Despite not being a blue scent per se, it really is fresh and light. The projection is ok - nothing special. So is the longevity. But the scent is to die for.

Very underrated compliment puller fresh and little sweet it has a blue fragrance dna but tweaks it adds its own touch, and that touch separates it from other blue colognes and its absolutely amazing! I got a 100ml for 65 usd What a steal!

not sure how we landed on plum over raspberry. Spent so long looking for a raspberry scent for men and surprisingly found it in this. 10/10 all around. Older generations may hate on it but does the bottle look like it’s for 50 year olds?

this fragrance is underrated and smells like fruity fresh sweet plum in the opening,little bit aquatic and nice in summer or when we wanna sleep,but the longevity i got 4-5hours and the silage and projection weak-moderate (9/10)

I will say one thing, the opening is strong. You will need maximum 2 sprays. But 15 mins in, you'll have the freshest scent ever. Imagine shower fresh, but a bit sweeter. It lasts all day on me. Dry down is beautiful and sexy.

One of my favourite scents it’s like a blue Jolly Rancher but with woodys notes it’s amazing. The plum and geraniums make the sweet blue raspberry smell and the oak and velvetier gives it the woodys notes balancing the scent

Those who say it smells like blue jolly rancher are right. Super nice plum note with woods is basically what I get. Very versatile, somewhat basic. Summer night fragrance for sure, but could be pulled off year round.
