Bad Boy Dazzling Garden

I bought CH Bad Boy Dazzling Garden EDT ($122 for 100ml) from Dillard's near Salt Lake City last week and have worn it a handful of times. This is absolutely unisex, the notes don't mention anything floral other than clary sage but I'm picking up something flowery. But it's not so flowery that it would turn men away. Dazzling Garden is an Eau De Toilette and so I don't expect it to perform like an EDP or Parfum. I've been decently happy with its longevity though I would prefer that the sillage were bigger. I think this could be an office friendly fragrance for someone that is in their late twenties or older, I don't think there's an upper limit to the age group this would appeal to. The notes most prominent to me are the tonka bean, clary sage, and white pepper. The cacao is probably hiding in plain sight but my nose just isn't trained enough to pick it out. The grapefruit and vetiver blend in well behind the scene. I find the fragrance comforting and quite enjoyable, but if I were to adjust the blend I would pump up the grapefruit and cacao. Yesterday I was at the CH station inside of Macy's and was asking for the CH Pasion for Men but they didn't carry it so I feigned ignorance about Dazzling Garden and said I heard a rumor that CH was coming out with a new fragrance in a purple bottle. The salesman said that Dazzling Garden wasn't a new fragrance but rather that it was a limited release and repackaging of the original Bad Boy. I'm not familiar with Bad Boy so I cannot confirm or deny this, I'll try to get my nose on the original and let ya'll know if it is the same or not. Scent: 7.5/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 5/10 Value: 7/10

Initial reaction... Best bad boy I've smelled. Smelled around 5 or 6 so far. This one is both fresh and sweet in the way I like. The other bad boys have a synthetic fixative or accord I don't like... this one does not have it, at least in the same way. Just sprayed but very impressed and bought a 30 ml.

When i first smelt it I thought it was a coffe fragrence, but it is more choclatey. The best Bad boy fragrence.

Super versatile and simple, love the darkness of the cacao and fresh spiciness of the black pepper.

While I DO like this version of Bad Boy, and think it’s probably the easiest one to wear, my previous love for this line is seriously waning. Between the original, Superstar, Gold whatever, and this, if you’ve smelled one then you’ve smelled them all. They all have a common pool of notes they share, and Each one just pushes one note forward and tones the rest back. The Original pushes the cacao up front, this one the sage. Gold pushes the pepper notes. Superstar lets the amber wood take center stage. Once you hit the mid and dry down, they’re indistinguishable from one another. Parfum remains the only one that does something different with its strong cannabis note in the opening, but that one has the worst dry down in the line. BB extreme takes all the notes and dials them up to 11, as if they mixed all the flankers together. I don’t talk about Cobalt because it sucks. Anyway, I’m getting off track. I like this, but no one needs it unless they don’t own anything in the line, in which case this is likely the best entry, followed by Superstar.

I wish Fragrantica would describe these fragrances correctly, this is not "a new fragrance". Here is a cut and paste right from Carolina Herrera website: "Experience the electrifying scent of our original Bad Boy fragrance in this enigmatic purple and gold collector's edition. A complex journey for the senses, Bad Boy combines notes of Black and White Pepper with the citric vibrancy of Italian green Bergamot" The purple metallic bottle is the only new thing about this frag, now CH Bad Boy EDT is a great fragrance IMO, so if you don't already own it then buying it in this cool purple bottle is a bonus, but if you already own Bad Boy EDT then I'm not sure paying over hundred $ for a purple bottle version is worth it?. Depends on how hardcore a collector you are I guess.

This Badboy is good but nothing special. It opens with plenty of the Badboy DNA but to me dries down to giving me whiffs similar to Acqua Di Gio or maybe D&G light blue. It's good and I'm glad I have it but imo it's too generic to love. I love the purple lightning bolt though! I don't understand people nay saying on cheesy and creative bottles. I would much rather have something colorful and cool than another clear rectangle with some cursive on the front.

If you guys were wondering how does it smell like a Dazzling Graden with just one floral note... Overall that sage does give it a great boost. It does come across like sitting next to sages.

sweet, spicy, aromatic to be simple. Nothing special, wouldn't wear it.

Embarrasing how they’ll discontinue Men Prive but allow this half assed basic garbage to be sold

First thoughts, the colours are very vibrant and obviously purple. It starts off with a Sage sweet and peppery opening mixed with some Bergamot Notes. - This fragrance is definitely very similar to the original Bad Boy, but with less pepper and more Sage/Tonka/Bergamot notes. - The mid and dry down has a very Peppery and Aromatic scent. - I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The projection and longevity is not the best, it lasts approximately 5-7 hours on my skin, and projects for about an hour before turning into a skin scent. (Depends on skin types) Overall Rating (7/10) - Even with it's appealing colours, the scent is all that matters at the end of the day. It's not a ground- breaking scent, it's not something unique. It's just a toned down OG Bad Boy with less pepper and more aromatic with the Sage and Tonka/Vanilla notes. Fragrance Notes Top Notes: White Pepper, Black Pepper, Bergamot. Mid Notes: Sage, Cedarwood. Base Notes: Cacao, Tonka Bean, Amber.

Okay now I’m a firm believer that there’s no gender to scents.. and it’s nice to break norms.. but Dazzling Garden for a men’s fragrance??.. 🤨 like I really enjoy that bottle color too but even the notes don’t feel like embodies the color or even the name.. mm guess we’ll see..

this is not really a collector version as Gold or Superstar this opens like the EDT one but the dry down has been twisted to make it even smoother and tender this is so good.. if you dont have the EDT,, grab this instead

Can we stop with the same scent different packaging?? You’d think with a name sparkling ice it would smell cold, fresh, and clean. Maybe even aldehydic with some depth. But they’re to scary to change it up

I love gourmand notes in men’s cologne! Vanilla, cacao, coffee, Tonka bean, and praline really need to be in more colognes! I appreciate these more gourmand but masculine scents!

They could make a bad boy elixir?? Haven't review because i haven't smelled it to say anything about it.

Dazzling Garden but no floral notes....sigh...these companies 🤦♀️I'm sure it will smell good tho.
