Bad Boy Elixir

You know that feeling when you want to dislike something just to prove your original pick right... and it refuses to cooperate? Yeah. That. After way too many laps around town testing Bad Boy Extreme, the EDT, the Cobalts — the whole lightning bolt lineup from Carolina Herrera — I was convinced Extreme was the one. It was the first that really grabbed me after stumbling across it at Marshall’s for $69.99 (and somehow walking away). That curiosity sent me down the rabbit hole. Extreme had its moments. The chocolate drydown? That’s where it shines. But getting there... that opening is aggressively sweet on my skin. Almost syrupy. And the cedar reads less “refined wood” and more “fresh hamster bedding.” By the time the chocolate smooths things out, the projection has already dialed itself back. For a lot of people, Extreme is the powerhouse of the line. On me? Not quite. Then came Bad Boy Elixir. Two sprays. Upper bicep. Over 24 hours later, it’s still hanging on. That alone made me pause. Now, I understand the leather criticism. It’s not that it’s overpowering — it’s that it doesn’t scream “buttery, hyper-real leather.” The mix of sage, cedar, and frankincense gives it a slightly stylized edge. You can tell modern aroma chemicals are in play (it’s 2025 release designer perfumery — that’s the game). But the way those elements come together? It creates something distinct. Smoky leather up top. Herbal earthiness from the sage. A sweetness that’s present but never cloying. I don’t really get identifiable chocolate or cacao like Extreme. And the cedar? Clean. Smooth. No rodent habitat vibes. I’ve seen comparisons to YSL releases floating around — I don’t get that. If anything, I catch a faint nod to Boss Bottled Elixir in the opening, but even that feels more like a passing resemblance than a blueprint. Calling this generic feels lazy to me. Maybe if someone hasn’t spent time with a large range of compositions it could blur into “designer leather sweet thing,” but when you slow down with it, there’s nuance. For context, I’m sitting on 350–400 bottles. I don’t say that to flex — I say it because very little surprises me anymore. This one did. Would I pay full retail? No. Not happening. But sub-$80 from a trusted discounter? Easy pickup. I grabbed the 10ml first to give it real wear time, and now I’ll be adding a full bottle. At 50+, I don’t think the Bad Boy line was ever designed with my demographic front and center. If I’m honest, I’d rename this one “Bad Man.” But rules are fake in fragrance. If it smells good on your skin and you enjoy it, wear it. Bottom line: This is the only Bad Boy in the lineup I can fully stand behind. Research it. Sample it. Find a deal. Add it.

Buh-Buh-Bayad!!! To the mother-fuckin’ bone. I’m damn glad I grabbed this one. If it smells like Invictus and all the elixirs? Good. That means I’ll never run out, MFers. And honestly? This one hits better. I never took the dive on Kobolt Elixir, but this right here feels like it’s trying to rise up with the big dogs—Hugo Boss, Invictus, all the heavy hitters in my collection. Not pretending, not whispering— trying to be the shit. I’m three hours in with a little overspray, just standing here catching these random sweet waves of vanilla drifting off my skin, reminding me of every elixir I’ve ever loved—but smoother. My wife got this for me as an early anniversary gift, because apparently what I desperately needed... was another bottle of cologne 😂. And honestly? Even if she didn’t, I was gonna snag it anyway. Another one just worthy enough to sit with the elixirs. Just worthy enough. It’s leathery, but not a leather bomb— sweet and seductive, like Rabanne Victory or Boss The Scent Elixir. Damn tasty stuff. And unlike the Kobolt EDP or its elixir, this one actually carries some Bad Boy DNA—if that even matters to you. To me? It does. Because this one feels like an actual Bad Boy.

Ordered a 10ml decant for $40 from CH last Friday, and got it on Thursday. I'm not a huge fan of the Bad Boy line, but man, this is really nice, and right up my alley of frags that I love wearing in the winter. Yes, it has the Bad Boy DNA backbone, but the added leather adds a nice classiness to the fragrance. Later in the dry down, you start to pick up hints of iris, which seems to be in the notes they show on their website, making this a more complex fragrance than you would imagine from the notes displayed on this site. Performance and silliage are both above average, but it's a shame this is being released right as we're coming into spring... I will be picking up the full presentation of this, as I think this won't be a mass appealing fragrance, and could see it being discontinued in a year or two... I'm not sure what their requirements are for continuing to support their products, but I see this as a fragrance that fragheads would enjoy more than the casual guy looking for something new. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (9/10) Amazing. Only loses a point because it's not an all season frag.

Notice: Fragrance newb here, who is also broke, so take my review with a grain of salt! My winter daily signature wear, and my favourite date night fragrance. It is such a complex, mature and masculine fragrance, it truly was love at first smell. I am not usually a fan of leather, I don't like smelling like a new car with leather seats, but in this, it's done well, smoky and mysterious. It has a sweetness to it too, I am not educated enough to say what it comes from, I am guessing the floral notes, but it is lovely. Lasts like a motherfucker, on my skin, 16-18 hours, sometimes 24 when its not so dry, projects like crazy too, 3-4 hours room filling, then about 5-8 hours arms length, then fades to skin. Gets a lot of compliments and attracts a lot of attention, as expected. I like the bottle too, for me, its cool, the top is a bitch to take apart tho, if you wanna take some with you for travel, so watch a video for that or be careful not to break it! Personally, 10/10 Also, if you wanna wear it in warmer weather, I recommend layering with something citrusy, fruity, works well for me!

Never tried a bad boy but tested it in store today since i found a bottle of this online at a good price, however, as a newbie with bad boy i can say it smells like the sweetness you get in le beau paradise garden, i have it and its very similar especially in the opening, the only difference being that its mixed with a smooth animalic leather, a bit different than the shoe store vibe you get with Ombre Leather, there is nothing sharp, dry or earthy i'm picking up from this fragrance other than a very likeable, luxurious sweetened leather, ironically both paradise garden and this one are made by Quentin Bisch so i'm more than sure its his signature to make these with that same polarizing slightly fruity sweetness, i'd wear this anytime anywhere, even in the summer with 2-3 sprays i'd say you can certainly pull it off, it genuinely smells luxurious like the '80 women in leather dresses and james-bond like men in a full black suit, now im even more crazy about getting this one since its in transit :)).

This perfume has similarities with Azzaro Forever Wanted (minus the raspberry opening) but it has that Bad Boy DNA which made it distinguishable. I don't know why Bad Boy Extreme is listed number 1 in the remind-me-of section. They're both different (Extreme is more chocolatey whereas Elixir is Leathery) The leather scent is mass appealing. This would be a good beginner leather perfume. Performance-wise, the scent lasted 12+ hours and suprisingly more on the clothing. It's been 48+ hours and I can still smell it on my jacket. Sillage is great too. Best for cold weather. Probably spray less on warmer climate because it will be cloying otherwise. Overall, I love it. It's excellently done. This is now one of my favorite designer perfumes.

Like many others have said before me - this fragrance takes a lot of inspiration from Ombre Leather by Tom Ford. But to me Bad Boy Elixir is just ever slightly more wearable. It's less harsh than Ombre leather. Projection is only ok, actually pretty low for an Elixir. Longevity however is amazing, on cloths this lasts all day and then some. If you're looking for a brute of a fragrance in terms of the leather note, I'd recommend Ombre Leather still. But this is somewhat "tame" compared to Ombre Leather and I kinda dig that.

This perfume is a monster. The longevity and sillage of the fragrance are amazing. If you spray this fragrance on your clothes, they may smell like it for a month. I have a lot of perfumes, I wear a different one almost every day, but my coat only smells like this one. My girlfriend doesn't like the scent at all for the first hour, but afterwards she says it's very nice. Although it was said not to be universally appealing, everyone who smelled this perfume loved it. Finally, only use this perfume in winter.

Sorry, but people think this is just another leather fragrance? No way! It's half sweet, half leather, to the extent I'm picking up huge Khamrah vibes (the warm sweetness of it gives me that kinda feeling again). There's definitely cacao, too. I like this! After a full day of wearing, the sweetness is reminding me more of Le Beau Le Parfum than Khamrah. There's definitely a lot of missing listed notes for this fragrance because Bad Boy Elixir is more sweet than leather. And I still really like it!

I just love this scent. It opens very fresh with the leather accord slightly behind. After just a few minutes, it becomes a great and predominant leather scent. This is the first Bad Boy flanker that I bought and really enjoy. Definitely long lasting, but you have to love leather. It's too strong to wear in any warm weather, but sings in the cooler weather. Will definitely buy a second bottle, once I finish the first. It's not a safe blind buy. But, if you love leather, you won't be disappointed.

This is quite unexpectedly very good. The appropriate name for this should have been bad boy extreme leather. The first initial spray is basically bad boy edt then it changes very quickly introducing the leather accord the scent starts to get creamy and slighly nutty. It stays very creamy from here on out with slight hints of powdered cocoa projection seemed moderate but the longevity is beast mode. If you like the bad boy dna this is very wearable especially on a cold night

I bought this because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I visited Sephora several times testing this against the best: Azzaro forever wanted, Ralph’s club elixir, Invictus victory elixir.. I would spray one arm with this and the other arm with something else. It was a king of the mountain death match and this won every time! That said those others were top notch choices. I’m looking forward to wearing this in the fall and impressing all the ladies.

Bad boy elixir, far my favorite fragrance in my collection. Some people saying its too animalic is just incorrect, on skin to me it has a sweet accord along with the leather. Its not like ombre leather or godolphin at all, its much better. Eternal as shit too, lasted 3 days on my hoodie. Only problem is that it gives me nose blindness. Still my favorite. If you love masculine leather this is for you. 9/10 silage 10/10 longevity 10/10 scent

If you love leather, check this one out! It is strong and smells lovely. It is not just a mass-appealing leather scent; it has a little bit of animalic character, but not as much as Gucci Guilty Absolu Pour Homme, though I get some similarity. It has a likable base of the original edt powdery cocoa with aromatic character. Bad Boy Elixir is my second favorite from the line; my favorite one is Le Parfum.

Very Ombre Leather like. It's a bit more aromatic , deep dark dried citrus, touch of dark smokey sweetness. There is more going on than the notes listed here. This is great! It's strong but not a loud fragrance . It doesn't project that much or have massive sillage but it makes that close strong bubble which I love. Of course you can shower in it and have monster projection . 9/10 banger !

Wife approved sex appeal on this one. I like the smell of this but she was with me when I bought it and she was encouraging me the whole way! Anyways, there's a time and a place for this one but I do like layering this with the green Polo since the leather in that one is kinda "meh" and the Polo adds more green complexity that I like for daytime use.

tested this at the mall so here’s my review: it smells good, and has a pretty good longevity, I sprayed it on a tester strip and accidentally got some on my hand and that little bit that got on my hand last the rest of the day (6-7 hours) overall, very manly scent, it has a mix between sweet, and more leathery/tobacco-y 9/10 for now

Notes for this are up on CH website add lavender to the top, iris in the mid and olibanum in the base looks like it might be pretty good will grab a smell at macys soon. Ok looks like there are a few more notes add bergamot and mandarin orange to the top and add cocoa in the base

An underappreciated, wonderful fragrance, incredibly long-lasting and with very high sillage. This is my signature scent for winter. I hope it doesn't become as widespread as Sauvage Elixir or Gucci Guilty Elixir. Quentin Bisch has once again shown his unique talent.

My friend showed me this and I said I didn’t like it. Literally went out and bought it at my next opportunity. The essence really hit me the second time around. Time to gatekeep this fragrance from everyone I know... if they ask me what it is? Joop Homme 10/10

Very nice, but extreme is a better take on the bad boy dna, and no limits is a bettter take on chocolate leather idea, though this is more wearable than both. Its really good at what it sets out to do, but i just feel its all been done already.

Ladies and genlteman finally a good designer release!! This is what Dior should of done.. with their new release, this is woody, cocao and iris blended pretty well a 5/5 I tried a small decant and it lasted for around 8 hrs !

I dont know why the notes look so harsh, it looks like it smells like pure leather and animalic, but its actually pretty sweet and powdery, i like this a lot its also similar to le male le parfum.

Very strong perfume. Lesser the spary is better. Smells fantastic much louder and have a strong presence + sharp aura

A favorite for me. Manly. Spicy and wintery. I like pairing this with Rabanne Million Gold.

Chocolatey, then very leathery, then VERY smoky. A sampling nightmare, as it seemingly has a two-faced scent profile. Sprayed it on a card at Macey's and essentially picked up on nothing but leather past 20 minutes as I brought it home. When my bottle came in, and I first sprayed it on, I got more leather and a lot of smoke. All other notes quickly fell into a bonfire. Then I sprayed it the next day and got nothing but cacao, with a funky woody drydown. Luckily, I love the majority of the smells it presents, and a harmony reveals itself between the notes the more I use it. This one requires a little bit of faith to buy. No way around it. Update: def my favorite from the Bad Boy line. Only real competitor is the Cobalt EDP, which has a slightly cheaper opening that gives BBE the edge. Don't really love this line altogether.

A heady, fragrant melange of spice, leather, vanilla, sage, and incense—or some kind of resin. It can be a bit overly sweet and tropical—with hints of coconut—yet also a bit chocolatey and very smokey. The opening is a bit harsh in this way—and can leave one smelling like a leathery chainsmoker doused in suntanning oil. But while the head note can be a bit off-putting, the drydown is surprisingly warm, sophisticated, and addicting. My wife’s not a big fan, but it has its uses. It’s not a crowd pleaser with mass appeal; but I can see it satisfying one’s more personal, non-apologetic desire for smoke, leather, and sweetness. I do like it—it was better than expected, especially mid to base—but it’s not for every day. Longevity and sillage are strong! (PS., if you have leather seats in your car, they will love this scent!)

Better hide yourself if you don't like strong fragrance because this one is a leather bomb, seriously. It's dry. Crisp. It goes into your nostrils like some ice-cold wind and stays here for a long time. The scent profile doesn't shift that much, honestly. It's hard to pick up anything else than leather and a slightly sweet scent, up close. The dry down doesn't offer anything new or different, really. I get why people aren't very keen of this one, but I personally like it. It's basically a brand new smoky leather jacket in a bottle. Like another review said, this is mostly pure leather. If you're here for that, then you're in the right place.

Didn't tried it on my skin yet but I kept the bloater strip i which I sprayed it on at the mall. At first I didn't get much difference between this and OG BB, but after a few hours it became leathery af plus a lot of iris without loosing its sweetness. Sage note can be detected but just like if it was the edginess of the letather accord if that makes any sense. I don't get cacao but I can see that sweet iris can give that impression. After a day or so I just smell sandalwood and iris from the strip and it makes me think about Million Gold with that dilly sandalwood note. Don't hate it but not loving it.

⚡️ Bad Boy Elixir 👞 Let’s be real, this isn’t ground breaking. It’s basically Invictus Victory Elixir in a leather jacket. Loud, sweet, a bit smoky, but nothing you haven’t smelled before. Yeah, it smells good, but it’s more of a remix than an original track. %20 Gucci Guilty Absolute leather + %20 original Bad Boy DNA + %60 Invictus Victory Elixir (yes, extremely similar — owning both is almost redundant). That’s it. No need to overthink it or dig deeper for comparisons, the formula is right there in your face. But for my taste, it’s the best in the line next to Cobalt Electrique. 8/10

Pleasant designer leather. An easy wear if you like leather scents. It's got some of that chocolate feel from the original and Extreme mixed with a smooth leather. Of the three, I prefer the original and this one. Extreme is pretty good, but it's seems more sweet, which I'm not always in the mood for, and has a lot of overlap with Invictus VE. This one tames the sweetness with the leather, which works well. There's a ton of good leather fragrances out there. This isn't my favorite among them, but it's not the worst either. A solid "like" for me.

Nose Note #442 This is kind of oudy in vein of Oud Maracujá Maison Crivelli and others, which I think is a popular trend now. It is somewhat like Bad Boy, but distantly. It opens very very sweet but dials down becoming this fruity kind of leather. Really nice, but I already have a number of fragrances like Oud Maracuja. Just so you know what to expect. 8/10, a powerhouse. Worth it if you like strong and sweet oud/leather fragrances. Otherwise - not a safe blindbuy

I do really like this fragrance. It's a very appealing scent and has everything desired in a cool-weather fragrance. Is very distinct from the only other Bad Boy I've tried (Cobalt Parfum Electrique), but I find it fairly close to Invictus Victory. Only reason I don't say I "love" it (which pains me) is that I do see myself getting bored of this. Definitely worth a try though for those who enjoy warm winter frags

For me, Bad Boy Extreme is the best from this line. Like others have said, this is Bad Boy/Extreme with a leather base note. The sweetness fades surprisingly quickly and leaves primarily leather as I don't pick up much of the woods. Very nice scent though I feel like I'd rather my car smell like this than my person but if you're into leather scents I can't imagine you'd not like this.

Sweet fruit or citrus character in the opening. Drys down quickly to a beautiful leather note. I'm not a fan of leather fragrances however this one is done very well it's blended very nicely and not too polarizing. Yet it's different and unique (not niche). I wish I smelled this before buying Le Perfume because I would have choose this instead.

Leather, and lots of it. You’re hit with it as soon as you spray it, and it does come off as a more aggressive leather. As it dries down the leather does soften a little bit, and begins to just blend well into the bad boy chocolate DNA. Performance is good, sillage is good. You’ll get a whole day outta this one. I like it.

The opening is really nice. Kind of a sour, tropical leather deal. Sounds strange, but it works. I'm not as huge of a fan of the dry down. Starts smelling more and more like a typical designer frag as time goes on until it transforms into something similar to JPG's Le Beau. Not bad, just not extremely unique.

Lazy note info from CH, so here's an equally lazy review. If you like the original Bad Boy EDT, and you like decent designer leather notes. You'll like this. It's 85% Bad Boy EDT. I still prefer the EDT, because the dry down is better imo. Personal score 8/10. I'll stick to my Bad Boy EDT.

Imagine TF Ombre Leather with more woods, a gasoline note, and a caramel plummy sweetness to it. It's a designer style leather fragrance, it's very wearable. Longevity and performance are fantastic and the smell is great. May be a love or hate thing for you. Don't blind buy.

Smells very good, leathery, masculine. This is the best Bad Boy to date imo but nothing extraordinary, Bad Boy Extreme + leather. I don't know the longevity but the initial spray is strong. So if u like any of the bad boys plus the smell of leather this is your next buy!

Finally getting my nose to this one, it's basically takes the OG bad boy/extreme cacao, and adding a very nice leather accord similar to ombre leather, super strong scent, smells the most high quality of the line, along with extreme(my favorite of all time)

Performance on this is amazing. Eternal lasting and projects strong especially the first 3-4 hours so careful on the overspray. Wouldn’t recommend wearing this in the hotter days and best way to explain this for me is warm leathery.
