CH (2015)

i thought i bought the 2017 version, but the bottle looks more like this one smells great, but also a little more mature for my age, im in my early 20s but this smells more for someone who is 27+. not an airy smell, a little heavier but still light. smells kind of fancy like for church or a formal event editing this- i am so obsessed with this scent. i am constantly smelling it, especially when the bass notes come through, it smells so delicious lol. i did another spray a few hours before bed, and was constantly smelling myself all night, especially when the bass notes come through, i dont care for florals so i dont care for the middle notes, the opening notes are okay, pretty citrusy. it stayed on my shirt the whole night, so it def has some longevity to it (idk about silage, but my brother says it smells good) would love to make this my signature everyday scent, but im more of a citrus and spices gal, but this is such a great perfume

The sweetness and praline aroma are perfectly balanced with flowery and citrus overtones. The scent is pleasant and wearable, however the silage and duration are lacking. The scent begins with a crisp blast of woody citrus and gradually fades to a wonderful silky leather. Very tasty, but fades too quickly in the winter and can become harsh, though this seldom occurs. I like this fragrance; it's calming, sophisticated, and fresh, with a little depth. Overall, a wonderful, sophisticated smell that I would suggest for spring. Lovely!

*note: I didn't get a chance to own CH 2007, so I don't know if it's similar or not. With CH 2015, the opening is citrusy for a very short while,but I don't get anything sweet at all which is totally fine. And then...it's alll leather, with a quite faint praline in the background (I do believe praline is uniquely blended here) and cedar. I don't get the florals at these stages ,however, a quiet rose seems to appear at the drydown. Overall it's different from your typical gourmand or clean scents, but to me it's lacking somehow..the leather phase lasts way too long on my skin and becomes a bore,that aside I think this one makes for a nice option to try if you're tired of many similar scents out there....it lasts long on my skin and projection is decent and moderate..great for a fall afternoon,having fun with friends or a more formal gathering...

This smells tasty, although the sweet gourmand-type scents are usually not my preference. The sweetness and praline note is done quite well - blended with floral notes and citruses. Quite nice and wearable, but the sillage and longevity are rather on the weak side. Previous reviews mention it smelling masculine, but I do not notice any masculine notes in this perfume - or at least they don't show on my skin.

Immediately, a fresh burst of woody citrus but then dries down to a lovely smooth leather. Very enjoyable, fades too fast in the winter and can go bitter but rarely does. I adore this fragrance it’s relaxing, classy and fresh with a depth that doesn’t loom. Overall, a lovely, classy scent I’d recommend for spring

I prefer previous CH. No comments more.

The 2015 version feels like a significant step down compared to the original 2007 release. The older formulation had a much richer and more sophisticated composition, with deeper floral, leather, and gourmand elements that evolved beautifully throughout the wear. In contrast, the 2015 version comes across as noticeably more linear and simplified. Performance is one of the biggest issues. Longevity is disappointing, especially when compared to the 2007 version, which lasted for hours and maintained its character from start to finish. The newer release fades quickly and loses its presence far too soon. Another major drawback is the leather accord. In the original, the leather note added elegance, warmth, and a distinctive sensual edge that made the fragrance memorable. In the 2015 formulation, that leather note disappears very early, leaving behind a softer and more generic sweet floral scent with far less depth and complexity. Overall, the 2015 version lacks the richness, complexity, and lasting power that made the 2007 release stand out. It feels more commercialized and less unique, losing much of the charm and sophistication of the original. So, so disappointed to have lost my signature scent forever, like the death of a version of me...

This is an interesting composition of notes but unfortunately leaves me underwhelmed. I guess it could be considered an all year scent. However, I feel like the citrus is competing with the woody notes. It’s as if it’s not sure what it wants to be when it grows up, a citrusy warm weather scent or a woody fall/winter fragrance. There are other fragrances that this works with, ex. Light blue. There’s just something about this that just misses the mark. It’s not bad, it’s just meh 🫤. I hoped to like it more. Also, it sits pretty close to the skin on me and really doesn’t have that good of longevity, needing to be reapplied every hour and a half or so. For those reasons, I will skip this one.

Smells a lot like Chloe Nomade but no moss. Very citrusy and woody. Quality citrus, not cleaning supply citrus. I do not really smell much leather. Patchouli comes out at a dry down, then lipsticky/cosmetic smell that is very familiar. Linear fragrance. Good and inoffensive, office safe type of a scent. It is okay but nothing groundbreaking. I wanted to buy it for so long thinking it will be amazing but so far an OK blind buy. Weak longevity, weak sillage. Just evaporates in 1 hour! Not sure if I will keep it.

This opened up with some promise. Clean and fresh; a bouquet of flowers with a subtle woody vanilla base but before lon,g it became too familiar, like something I’ve already smelled a hundred times before. It’s perfectly wearable year-round and easy to like, but that’s kind of the problem for me. Nothing really stands out or feels memorable. Overall, it’s just okay...nice, but not unique enough for my taste.

I have mixed feelings about this one. It was to fruity and sweet, than it goes to a bright floral thread is not so sweet.And then hits the leather. I don't like leather. I hate it and like it at the same time

CH 2015 is the same perfume as CH 2007, with the exception of the bottle, which is a little bit different. The male version is the one that bears differences in the composition and the bottle. To begin with it's not an indifferent perfume at all, it stands between chypre fruity and oriental floral. A neo chypre, very appropriate for the autumn and winter. It's not your typical girly girl sweet foodish offering, do not degrade it to that level. Generally I am pleased by the scent, which reminds me of the drydown of Belle d'Opium. Initialy there is a fruit blast, pineapple, citrus, maybe it's too too fruity. Acrid. And already balmy. Velvety suede,very feminine, on the sweet side. Leather becomes all the more prominent and it turns into a dry scent. Call it plum or pineapple, it doesn't really matter because the fruit is abstract. And a good throw of patchouli The fruit in CH are not like the ones in Escada summer releases, these are of the dried variety, which makes them a very successful match to the suede notes. On the other side the perfume has a balmy patchouli with vague florals. As a whole it does smell interesting. The projection is rather minimal, so you are not gonna annoy anyone with your scent. It is long lasting. Water fell on it it did not go anywhere. Next morning I woke up smelling a dry clean rose lingering on my skin. So underrated.

Of all the fragrances the IFRA ruined when it changed rules for fragrances around 2009ish, there were pretty much casualties alll around. They banned many natural oils and made them use a weaker musk and banned the amount of other perfume ingredients which is why an EdT today has the performamce of a body mist OR WORSE in 2007. This has obviously been one. Until the IFRA comes off those bans we will never get a perfume we once loved and it smell or perform the same. I used to spray one or two sprsys in the air and walk through it and an EdP would last all day. Now? 10 sprays directly on me of the same perfume, reformulated to meet IFRA demands to use their synthetics instead which is all of them if they wanna be sold in Europe or North America will NEVER be the same. I guess so many people dropped dead of the oakmoss note, lillal, and musks that it was just getting out of hand. 🙄 you know thats why perfumes like this from 2007 formula were so popular because they were killing everyone.

I’ve just said with Versace Dylan Turquoise that the citrus-top, woody-base formula works when it’s done right, and here we are again. It's a classic, stable, and mature. Within the CH lineup, this reads like a cornerstone fragrance: simple and elegant. It has been done before, but that’s not a problem here. Very wearable, especially for workdays if you don’t want something strictly fresh but still want restraint. I don’t think I’d buy it, simply because I already have other classic favorites. But I’ll say this: the bottle is a major win. I genuinely like it. I loathe the CH stiletto designs, even when the scents are decent, but this one deserves shelf space. If this fragrance came in a different bottle, I’d probably judge it more harshly. The design elevates the whole experience.

This was a blind buy simply surprisingly sexy and sumptuous no regrets at all... CH Herrera has everything I like considering I'm a chypre dude, I was surprised with the musk which I usually don't like in the beginning or opening of a scent but this musk in CH was not that sweet or overwhelming sweet that others fragrances tend to do... The citrusy notes opens fresh then the praline with the patchouli note and leather just sings with the rose orange blossom and jasmine, The cedars pretty well done. Definitely Unisex! Overall very well done and underrated!

To me it opens very sharp on the nose so I have to wait for a couple of minutes before I can take a whiff again. Unfortunately the longevity is very weak on my skin; less than a couple of hours. For the price charged for it I would have expected a longer longevity.

This is fruity at first then comes the woods to the stage and it becomes a leathery woody type with some sweetness around. Glad that it is not known by many people.

Starts wonderfully but in a while changes into an almost masculine scent, which I cannot stand.

Leather, citrus, and praline,,,hmmm??? Not sure what to think here, ladies.

For me was the 2007 version....this one not...please bring it back
