CH Men Wild Love

First of all, this is a great fragrance! This reminds me of a dominant patchouli/ leathery, woody version of PDM Layton, except this is more mature. If you strip away the vanilla from Layton and replace it with all the accords I just mentioned plus some spice, you have CH Men Wild Love. I dare say, I like this more than Layton since I am not a fan of prominent vanilla fragrances. There is a hint of vanilla in the fragrance but it just adds a touch of sweetness and it never becomes cloying like it does in Layton. Another fragrance that comes to mind is Boss Bottled Absolu. The way the patchouli and leather come across in this fragrance are very reminiscent of how it’s done in Absolu. Longevity on my skin was 7-8 hours. It had a good projection for about 3 hours, a good scent trail for another 2-3 hours and becoming a skin scent for the remainder of the duration of the fragrance. Overall I rate it a solid 8.5 and compliments a plenty on the night out.

CH Men Wild Love is an aromatic, woody, and leathery fragrance. It has a sweet and herbal opening, very similar to the original CH Men with its sugar and violet leaf aroma. Although violet or violet leaves aren't listed, this fragrance contains them in a good quantity. As the minutes pass, a leathery and woody accord also begins to emerge, making this new version of the CH Men line the most similar to the original. This new fragrance can be worn in various settings, such as formal work and office settings, casual outings, dates, etc. I find spring, autumn, and winter to be the ideal seasons for wearing it, both day and night. As for its performance, the longevity was good on me, lasting between 8 and 9 hours with a moderate sillage. CH Men Wild Love doesn't have a groundbreaking scent, as it's similar to the version launched in 2009; however, its fragrance remains quite appealing and doesn't smell dated. I liked it a lot.

I had the chance to smell this, finally. This is a mature take on CH Men. Most flankers have a twist, and this is no different, but rather than going far away from the OG, this one still smells a little bit of the sugary leather, but the patchouli and sage take it to a more mature level. Can't tell about longevity/projection yet.

A heavier and more mature version of the original CH Men (this DNA reminds me a bit to Toy Boy). Sillage and duration (7h) are good. Nice fragance for men over 30.

I've already read some reviews online (maybe it was here for the release article) where people said they don't like the bottle and how it looks old, too retro, etc. I see why they may think that, but I'm actually liking the bottle--which actually surprises me as I do NOT like leopard/tiger print ANYTHING! The first thing that came to mind when I saw the print on the bottle was the carpeting at Studio 54 from back in the day! Interestingly enough, Carolina Herrera and her husband, Renaldo, used to be regulars at the discotheque. I highly doubt there's any connection/reference here, but with the name "Wild Love" and the printed bottle, who knows! The CH bit on the front of the bottle reminds me of a bit you'd see on a loafer... a classy touch on top of a "wild" background. My luck with Puig's Herrera fragrances for many years now has been absolutely awful, but I'm going to put on my optimistic hat for Wild Love. If it's in the same vain as the CH Men Insignia limited edition, this could be very promising. I'll need to seek out a sample. As much as a blind buy on Wild Love is tempting, I'm going to wait it out until I can secure a sample... it's just too risky given my luck with Herrera/Puig as of late.

Just a reminder to not rate or review this until you have smelled it. But, with that being said, the last release in the CH line, Birds Of Paradise, was the best summer release of 2024, in my opinion, so I'm betting that this will be a good release.

Finally!!! I've been waiting this day for a very long time. God please let this be a very similar or a better version of marvelous sexy CH Men with a great performence. Can't wait to smell it.
