CH Privée

One of my favorites everrr, it's so well blended and balanced with the leather, vanilla and patchouli🌿 I'm too poor to know how caviar smells lol but there is definitely something salty and slightly musky about this that makes it smell like skin when it dries. It might sound heavy based on the notes, but it's actually very clean to my nose, nothing sharp, synthetic, or invasive, it's kind of a softer scent but it does project very well and lasts 6-7hrs. Smells kinda like a leather purse or leather jacket in the most chic way possible 😎

The caviar note is just a shocking way to put salt i guess. This is warm, salty leather... like a nice purse at the ocean.

The CH line emerged, in 2007, with the release of CH for Women, which came before the male version. Some versions (flankers) came then, but many of them don't even figured in the Brazilian market, as CH Marine or CH Garden Party, for instance. In 2013, it was the turn of CH Sublime, which brought the first elongated bottle, covered with leather, changing the visual identity of the CH line. In 2017, more precisely in February, was the turn of this new version, called CH Privée. In a way, it's the female version of CH Men Privé, released in 2015. CH Privée Eau de Parfum defends, in its concept, one of the rarest things of the present time: privacy, responsible for the curiosity and the mystery that surrounds everything we do and that is so trivialized in times of social networks. Just as happened before with fragrances of other brands, inspired by the "black dress", this time the CH woman gets dressed in a beautiful red dress, sensual and mysterious, wearing high heels and accessories. And her perfume, created by Dominique Ropion, mixes unusual notes such as osmanthus absolute, vanilla caviar, patchouli and leather, as well as pink pepper and musk. CH Privée Eau de Parfum has two distinct moments: initially, when it touches the skin, it is intense and warm. The fruity side of the osmanthus flower reveals itself like a compote of apricots. In a short time, the fragrance seems to disappear and lose strength, presenting a more salty facet. Normally, the synthetic note of caviar has this facet. But here, the accord was of a creamier caviar, made with vanilla. It may not be the case, but there is a saltier aspect, which comes to impart a more masculine style to the perfume, albeit subtly. Then, it comes the other distinct moment when notes of jasmine, rose and patchouli meet, showing a floral and drier base. On my skin, CH Privée loses not only grace, but also power, as it evolves. The output is magnificent and the perfume exudes a lot. However, in less than two hours, it becomes weak and remains close to the skin, although it has good lasting. It is pleasant, but it does not convey the idea of mystery, which is tied to the scent left by a woman when she passes by. It may even work, but it will need more sprays than usual, which may bother some consumers. The bottle is gorgeous, the finishing is worthy of the brand's products and the fragrance caters to women who like more intimate perfumes while maintaining elegance. Still, it does not behave like an Eau de Parfum and that disappointed me. Particularly, I still prefer the Sublime version.

CH privee is an elegant, feminine and classy fragrance. There's some sexiness and a glamorous feeling to it, too. The opening is somewhat acidic and unpleasant to my nose but fortunately, it's a fleeting sensation. After seconds, leather becomes prominent yet it quickly blends with the vanilla and a very mild patchouli. I don't think this perfume is leather centered, maybe because it's well blended. All in all, I'd say I'm not impressed. Mainly because of its unoriginality. It reminds me of perfumes of past decades, so it feels a bit dated to me. Also, I think it lacks attitude. I think it would make a great gift as it's pleasant and likeable.

This perfume has a very realistic leather note, and mixed with vanilla it becomes something warm and cozy. Its subtle and intimate, its not a big explosion of "dessert vanilla", rather a more mature or sophisticated note. The patchulli makes it some what fresh. I can see anyone over 25 wearing it, its not a childish/gourmand perfume and you can wear it day and nigth. It has a moderate longevity and the sillage its not strong, but that goes well with the intimate vibe it projects. The bottle design is pretty acccurate since this is a true leather fragrance, but in a femenine way. Longevity: 3/5 Sillage: 2/5 Scent: 4/5 Bottle: 5/5 Overall: 4/5

It's leather, a lot of delicious leather covered by tender vanilla. Very tasty and unusual scent like nothing else. I really like it. Longevity and sillage are great, especally in the cold season. I have 50 ml. My bottle is covered with red leather. This is the good example when the bottle design reflects its content. I'm satisfied with my purchase, but do not recommend to blind buy, because the scent is specific due to leather and probably caviar (though I can't imagine how caviar smells in the perfumery).

Quite good, sweet and leathery. I would use it as nighttime fragrance. Nice, but not super impressive. Ordinary and simple. Worth a try, not repulsive in any way. Like, not love. Edit (05.11.2017) Actually I feel like, it's good and could be a seductive fragrance.

This has a very sexy vibe than being beautiful. I see someone like a club girl or a girl who goes with every guy. Good scent. But not good for someone who is innocent and not wanna appeal in terms of sexiness.

I like CH Privée but the Patchouli is no good for my asthma. Good mix of leather, vanilla & patchouli. Chic & flirty.

(24AUG25) Arrival Day: This was a floral/fruity bomb upon first spray. On skin and on test-strip...same results. Nuclear-power Fruit-Chouli powerbomb! No Leather or vanilla to be found...just heavy Jasmine, Rose, Osmanthus and Patchouli...which comes off like fruit-punch kool-aid powder. The only reason I sourced a bottle of this was due to it being billed as a LEATHER fragrance. At no point in the wear of the two-sprays I put on skin and also on paper, did LEATHER ever show up in the 10hr fruitchouli slog for this fragrance. EDIT: Now I know where I've smelled this. In my wilder days of youth I hung out with a stripper that smelled like this every time I would pick her up after her shift was over. The whole time we'd be out eating 3am breakfast at the diner and talking about our respective relationships, this fragrance is what she would smell like. Sweat and musky fruity-floral perfume.... Not sure I can pull off "Sweaty Stripperella"...but I'll give it a shot. Worse comes to worse...I'll keep it around for those "nostalgia" times... Though I'm curious to whether I can mix it down with something else and make it wearable.

This was gifted to me, I'm not really used to leather perfumes and find this one too mature for me personally (it's a bit dated? I don't know how to say it, like an old timey fragrance? Even though it came out 8 years ago). Having said that, I think it's a nice fragrance to start with when it comes to leather, because it's very well blended. I keep it for a night out during autumn/winter since that's when I feel I can pull it off, and it's strong but not overwhelmingly so.

I'm not somebody who typically wants to smell like leather, but of the scents I have tried with it as a primary note, I will say this one is quite lovely. It's well-blended and manages to keep its femininity. Not my vibe, but for sure a wearable and lovely scent.

This reminds me of a softer version of Flowerbomb. To me, it's a rather generic fruitchouli. I'm guessing the fruitiness is coming from the osmanthus. I don't get any leather or caviar. Lasts about 5 hours on me.

Blind bought a mini dabber. I was trying to figure out what it was reminding me of and then I saw the reminds me section- yes, it is very similar to Miss Dior 2024! Just less sweet and more peppery.

I was surprised to see such a small list of notes for CH Privee because I feel like I could smell a few more than listed here. CH Privee opens with a sharp, astringent quality that I liken to overly peppered fragrances. I pick up some vanilla and amber notes at the bottom. I'm not refined enough to know what caviar smells like (not sure I'd even want this note in a fragrance to be honest) but I image it's salty and briny, which I don't pick up at all from CH Privee. Although I don't see any musk listed I definitely smell a musk note, maybe it's the leather and patchouli mixed with caviar? The leather note isn't immediate to me but it's there, albeit subtly, in the dry down. There's also a lingering green note that sort of dances around the rest of the notes throughout wearing this fragrance. My biggest issue with this, despite it just not being a scent I like much, is that fact that it gets so much sweeter as it dries down. There's a saccharine quality that strangely reminds me of the sweet, syrupy notes of Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Mysteriosa which I truly disliked and turned my stomach. This is a pass for me.

I was super excited when this finally arrived but was soon quickly disappointed. Something in this reads like pencil shavings and unfortunately, it lasts the entirety of the scent. Once it settles it becomes a little spicy which I liked -- but the pencil-shavings note is still there and does not go away. I will be getting rid of this one as it is not something I could ever see myself wearing as I do not want to smell like a walking spicy pencil. 💀 I do not think this is a safe blind buy -- definitely try to sample this first if you can.

Too leathery for me. I'd still stick to the original CH perfume.

This starts off with quite a clean leather/sandalwood. If I catch the smell of it in the air it reminds me of DK Stories. But as it settles the osmanthus really shines and makes this different from similar scents. I have a love-hate relationship with osmanthus, and I like it here. It adds a really nice refreshing milkiness to the heavier notes and I find myself wanting more of that. It appears and then is gone. The patchouli is not a big player in my experience. In the dry down this is mainly an easy-going soft leather scent with a hint of fresh cream. I like it, but I’m left wanting more of that osmanthus.

Despite being categorized as a leather perfume, I wouldn't say leather is the most prominent note in Ch privee. It starts off with strong almost masculine splash of sour and bitter notes, then mildens as sweet notes emerge. It smells somehow similar to original CH, but this one is somehow sharper. It has got very strong and watery patchouli note that makes it both provocative and not suitable for patchouli haters. Also I get some licorice DNA that I have no idea where comes from( might be caviar note?). Brifely I can summerize CH privee in 3 words: Original CH + Lolita + strong patchouli.

I tried it in duty fee and I found it too strong and leathery, not my type ..the base is softer, but the overall vibe of this scent is a bit too heady and thick almost..I don't mind a bit of leather, but this is too much for my taste., plus the caviar gives it a weird edge.....now, if you are looking for a leather scent, might be a good option..I usually like the brand, but this one doesn't please me..

Pleasant, well blended and classy. The leather is soft and smells expensive. It’s an elegant fragrance, something for a rich woman with refined taste. But to my taste, there is something missing. It’s a bit too quiet. In this genre, i prefer Fan di Fendi Extreme. It’s more glamorous. All notes are detectable. Sillage is soft. Final note: 8/10

I agree with someone here who described the one as too strong. I had to give it away. I couldn't even wear it during cold winter in the Urals when I moved back to a humid country by the beach I gave it to my sister in law as she was wearing something very similar.

Tested today... On me Privee is strikingly similar to Lalique Le Parfum only its a little more intense with far better longevity. I don't get the leather at all though. It's not incredibly unique but I really like it and would consider an FB.

Seems a shame that the description is so basic... I love the CH Privé Homme, so I'm hoping the strength of this has been turned up a notch further than the Sublime the bottle is based on?

Just smells really sweet to me, like Voce Viva. Wondering if microperfumes sent me an incorrectly labeled sample. I've received genuine frags from them before, so I don't know
