Good Girl Blush

Sweet, floral, vanilla, fresh, citrusy, yellow floral, rosy, woody, almond, aromatic, radiant, luminous, feminine, sensual, seductive, romantic, flirty, chic, classy, elegant, sophisticated, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, alluring, tempting, intriguing, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this opens with a burst of bright and citrusy bergamot and softly sweet and nutty bitter almond. The heart blooms with lush, velvety, and rose-like peony and exotic and slightly woody ylang ylang. The dry down intertwines sweet and sensual vanilla, and warm coumarin which adds a lovely soft depth. This feels very chic, charming, and romantic, yet also very wearable. It’s sweet, but not overly so, so it’s never cloying. I wouldn’t call it a gourmand, but it’s a lovely citrusy floral vanilla. I definitely recommend trying it out, and I do consider it to be a pretty safe blind buy. I only have samples of some of the Good Girl fragrances, but this one is my favorite so far. I’d love to try more of them! To me this feels feminine, and like it would work well for women of any age. I think this is best suited for spring, summer, and early fall, but can work year round too. This feels fitting for any occasion from casual to fancy, and including work and/or school. As for the “reminds me” section, I do see some similarities. I only have Montblanc Signature and BBW You’re Cheeky, but they’re both similar to Good Girl Blush. Montblanc Signature is more vanilla, citrusy, cozy, and musky, and is also my personal favorite of the 3. You’re Cheeky is more spicy, less floral, and less vanilla. I don't understand how some people find this boring or generic. It's a very hard scent for me. It's not easily approachable and I'm not sure whether I love it or hate it. Starts out super tart and scratchy. The tartness fades, but the scratchiness stays. I think this might be bitter almond together with ylang ylang. It does go into powdered vanilla eventually, but the scratchy quality is there, although toned down from the opening. It is very noticeable for a "light" perfume, I don't get the innocent vibe really? This is almost poisonous smelling from the bitter almond...but far less so than the Blush Elixir version. Yet, it's a poison I kind of want to smell again.... I could see why people think playdough slightly, although it's playdough with something added so you don't dare put it in your mouth.....come to think of it they add salt to real play dough. This is not sweet...more bitter and fluffy. Just a real conundrum for me. I think I want it? Also, lasted forever. People saying this has no longevity probably like to be assaulted by their own perfume for hours on end. It was not a true skin scent for me until 7+ hours after spraying twice on each arm, and then I could still smell it on skin 12 hours later. I actually think this might shine in cold weather if you want to avoid all of the spicy gourmands that usually reign during winter. Update: Toxic playdough stank that I am obsessing over!

Wow, these reviews are all over the place. Personally, I really like this... VERY MUCH! To me, it bares very little resemblance to any of the current Good Girls, though there is a touch of that indecipherable mish mash that I think they all share. But I would say that this one is less sweet (but, still a sweet fragrance, just a touch less so than its predecessors). And this one is powdery. It starts off with a nice sweet citrusy blast and the peonies and roses on a backdrop of powdery vanilla quickly emerges as well. Then it stays pretty linear for it’s wear, and I’ve noticed that I sometimes think it’s worn off but then I’ll move a certain way or the wind will blow and I will smell it all over again. When this happens, it always stops me in my tracks as I think, wow, that’s so pretty. It does have a strangely addictive quality to me, which the original does as well. And those around me who smell it on me have remarked about how pretty it is too. It’s hard for me to tell how long it’s on because of its disappearing and reappearing act, but I’ve noticed that I’ve smelled it at least 6 hrs after application, and I have a feeling it lasts longer than that on me. I’m really glad to have this one, and I never expected to be a fan of the good girl line, but that is exactly what I have become.

So I’m usually a die hard gourmand type of fragrance user, but she makes me feel so pretty. This perfume brings out this feminine side inside of me that i really don’t think I can express with vanilla/creme/Tonka etc forward leaning perfumes. This is such a nice break off to my collection, and I don’t know. It was just something about it in the store that made it all click for me. The freshness and sharpness of the flowery notes but at the same time how light and airy it felt. It was something like that I had not been smelling for actual years because I just never look for it. So just like that I became obsessed about using this perfume as a feminine option to step into when I need a break from all my vanillas, coconuts & cremes. And I think I might end up opening up my fragrance world to step into the flower world of perfumes because my horizon has widened. There really just might be some really pretty floral fragrances and I get it now. Blush has shown me that their all not just basic and boring but actually very much more about the everyday feminine energy we carry, at least for me.

GG Blush opens up very smooth, very vanilla and peony~ Its slightly powdery, a little soapy.. like a bubblebath in a footed bathtub with a bundle of peonies wrapped by a thin ribbon-- right out of coquette moodboards ^^/ I get more almond as it settles down, and it turns creamier, with the florals blending more into the vanilla than making themselves the center of attention! It reminds me of candied almonds I had when I was little, in a good way~ Overall it feels like a pouty vintage doll.. It goes perfectly with old Liz Lisa dresses, a hair ribbon, and some lace trim socks~ It's a bit fussy for me a lot of days, but when the mood strikes, its a wonderful pick!♡ I typically wear this in cooler weather.. I think the florals would be more cloying in the heat, and the creaminess is something I associate with colder days~ for me, Blush is the best GG... the others clashed with my skin chemistry ; o ; The comparisons to a softer Delina are absolutely there for me! This is simpler and creamier, but also way less headache inducing for me lol
