Herrera Aqua

This fragrance is everything you will need, unfortunately it's been discontinued. Aqua is more than what it appears to be with a fresh and citrus start and ending in rich velvety musk. It lasts long on me personally, and I can smell a spritz on my wrist up to 8 hours after I spray it. My late grandfather gave me this bottle, as my grandmother doesn't like noticeable fragrances. He always wore something fresh, and aquatic regardless of the time of year. Needless to say, if you want to smell professional, yet personal this is the fragrance for you. It has been discontinued, but fragrance revival has the "same" fragrance for sale for $90. I'm not partnered with them and haven't actually bought this product as I still have my original bottle. Found this at an estate sale new in box in 2022. This has been discontinued. The only place I’ve been able to find it is on eBay and people are asking wayyy too much for this. Anyway, I bought it for $20. I absolutely love this during ththe summertime. I have been wearing it to work for the last week and I’ve gotten a couple of compliments... this stuff works very well with my body chemistry. It’s a blue scent, a little dated maybe, but I don’t have anything else in my collection that smells quite like this. Is acquatic, kind of citrusy, and clean. The opening is a little sharp, but after about 5 minutes, it settles down into a smooth clean blue scent. The longevity is pretty good. I work outside in the south and I can still pick it up on myself after 4-5 hours... it actually smells better to me after I’ve been sweating. So, I love this! I wish it wasn’t discontinued.

Has anyone found a similar fragrance to Herrera Aqua because I'm just in love with it . Managed to luckily grab an 85% 50ml bottle for $50 and this fragrance is simply gorgeous but I'm using it very very rarely because I'm aware that I most likely will not be able to find another bottle of this magnificent piece of beauty. Also the batch code on my bottle says that it's from 2016, considering the fact that the Carolina Herrera Aqua had been discontinued around 2012-2013 means that my bottle is from 2006 and this thing has amazing longevity 8+ hours and decent projection.

Fresh, warm spicy and unique. Herrera Aqua is quite different comparing with the others aquatic perfumes out there(at least for me)it's more than the aquatic and the citrus things, it's smells unique especially when it's dry down on your skin, it's makes me feel confy and relaxing. Herrera Aqua is one of the fav. perfume in my top list, sometimes i spray it on my neck before i get to bed, maybe sounds weird for you guys, but yea,it's extremely working well to helps me get into sleep very well (hehehe). shame on them to discontinued this amazing pieces in my country.

I fell in love with the brand's perfume line bec of this. This has a subtle elegance that is timeless. Mass pleaser but not common. I have a bottle and I am sparlesly using it bec. this has already been disontinued. I have DKNY men and I don't think they smell the same.

The saddest day was finding out that this perfume was discontinued :( :( OMG it was a favourite that I used to get for my boyfriend.... and I literally cannot find any dupe for this, or anything that comes close to this fragrance.

it is nice, unique and last longer, it may not differ in its smell over time but you will like smelling it, it has a masculine scent and after many hours it put you in some sort of relaxing mood,

I love it! Subtle and fresh, I love that it also smells like vanilla and bubblegum, but is fresh and calm! Perfect!!

The aqua is only in the name, aromatic green with a floral twist to better be used in the winter.

Nice Aquatic fragrance from Carolina Herrera... Yes, I get it - it is mid-January and I am wearing a (very) Spring/Summer fragrance.. Wishful thinking, I guess..!! Out of the bottle, Carolina Herrera's Aqua fragrance is a blend of aromatic, musk, and woodsy notes. It is surprisingly pleasant and easy on the nose. If you like aquatics, you will like/love this edition. Aqua provides modest to average longevity, lasting about 4-6 hours on me and somewhat longer on clothing. The projection is modest (maybe less than modest), thrusting out, at most, to arms length for about 2-4 hours and settling to skin level thereafter. As imagined, Aqua is best suited for Spring/Summer and day wear. (It just happened to be in the rotation today..). I believe that most aquatic fragrances are geared more for casual wear - Herrera's edition is no different. Additionally, while I love aquatics, they may be more for a younger population. I don't see too many 40+ males wearing Aqua. While I like the bottle and the "blue" tint of the fragrance, I will add that I believe the spray nozzle is cheaply made. Perhaps a "Creed" like nozzle with a chrome and bamboo cap would have been more appealing/appropriate. The price/value of Aqua is average, maybe a bit below average, at around $40 USD for a small bottle. My final tally for Carolina Herrera's Aqua is 3.9 stars out of 5 stars. I like the fragrance a lot. It does not project nor last long enough to be evaluated as a top performer. If you like the aquatics, I recommend adding to your collection. I have it, will use it freely, and wear it proudly - but I probably will not repurchase when this bottle is finished. Enjoy your day and make it count... Invest your time rather than wasting your time...

Quite Strong on the tonka front, very balmy in the background, also quite aquatic and sharp with the bergamot and mandarin acids. Fig not noticeable unless searched for. I'm not a critic but I can always tell what I wish for in a fragrance as opposes to what actually happened ; I'd wish for more prominence from the fig and the more fruity quality from te actual flesh of the mandarin for less citrus effect. Freshness isn't always reliant upon citrus, though is saying that, CH Aqua isn't a typical aquatic due to the dominant Tonka/Amber base, which I think prevents the scent from being too sharp and generic. As mentioned earlier, it's main goal is to smell good when wearin it and it's done quite well, not a masterpiece but a good value casual smell for spring

I just like to smell good...period. This fragrance gets the job done and its a pleasure to wear. Sometimes I don't want to be challenged by a fragrance; I just want to spray it on and enjoy it effortlessly. Herrera Aqua does this better than most! The mandarin, fig, and bergamot add a fruity, citrus aroma to the beginning, which is later joined by the fresh lavender and other herbal notes. Finally, the base gets a little powdery and sweet due to the tonka bean, but this is infused with masculinity by the vetiver and musk. All-in-all, this is a great day fragrance for someone who wants to smell good without having to over-think it.

This is a very nice scent. My brother says he smelled a bit of the bvlgari aqva in it.LOL To me, it is sugary sweet and kinda smells like 212 Men. Overall it's a very nice scent for day to day wearing to the office. The Longevity is very good 8hrs+ and it stays close to my skin after 8hrs.

Nice fragrance but it can't be "the best". Anyway I had it twice because it's very casual and only a t-shirt suits as perfect as formal clothes to it. Personally I prefer 212 by CH or Chic by CH than this one, think those fragrances have more memorable and richer composition.

A nice, mild and inoffensive safe spring/fall scent. The sweetness is not overbearing and the fig note adds some brightness. Performance is average. Prices have went up since it has been discontinued but it's not at M7 prices yet.

very long lasting, but its sweetness impedes the freshness from blossoming. i love the aftershave though.

Just to let everybody know, it's been reformulated. I bought this back in 2009...it lasted about 8 or 9 hours on my skin and always receive compliments. The dry town was a little more sweeter than it is now. Now the new reformulation has 3-4 hours of longevity with a more spicy in the dry down. It still smells pretty much the same except in the dry town it's less sweet, more spicy and Longevity isn't as great.

So many aquatic sense out there, this is so far the most ordinary and boring ones! The sense is very common, very ordinary, so ordinary and it remind me of cool water, dry down is very powerish and boring. The bottle design is also so (square only?)boring. Aquatic lover, you may skip this.

I agree, it's not very aquatic. I got a lot of fresh sparkling citruses and the beginning. But the middle and the drydown are totally unimpressive, and the scent doesn't last long. Little perfume for spring and summer.

Its too feminine. Its too "fresh" and "sweet". Its smell is just like fresh icy flowers.

Creamy, clean bamboo forest with a synthetically crafted green accord of foliage mixed with fig leafs over a backdrop of musk. Very simple fragrance that is rather different from the usual aromatic aquatic in its reliance more on the earthier tones of the palette. Instead of the standard generic fare of oceanic accords mixed with lavender, rosemary and other soft herbals you get a heavy dose of tonka bean, some amber and a very clean, very refreshing bamboo note that dominates the first half hour of wear. The Herrera house is always reliable for releasing quality scents and Aqua is no different, emitting more of a mature, refined and conservative personality to a mostly 30 and under genre and giving that genre a bit more of a professional office and daily wear aromatic aquatic that is hard to dislike and even harder to get tired of wearing. A very suitable fragrance for spring and summer days. There isn't a lot of development here, but projection is moderate the first 4 hours before dropping to soft and longevity is consistently between 6-9 hours on my skin. A decent purchase, not a masterpiece or a game changer as far as trends go, but a competent and rather enjoyable 35 and over aquatic for professional men.

I had it back in 2010 and I loved it. Then it got sadly (or stupidly may I say) discontinued making it hard to find at a reasonable price. Until today. I was checking perfumes at a store in my town and I saw one box of my beloved Aqua. I checked the barcode and is was original. Ended up paying $80, way less than when I first bought it. Now let’s go to the important part; the fragrance. It’s just as I remember, a very green-citrusy opening with fig leaves and mandarin orange peel. Then that gorgeous middle notes with neroli, a very discrete lavender and just a pinch of pepper. The base is sensual but soft musk, amber and vetiver. The tonka beans are there but just to add more body and charm to the fragrance. I consider this a perfect perfume for any moment. Is elegant, fresh without making it sporty, and sensual in a polished way. Aquatic? Not at all but this was genious, naming a perfume suggesting something aquatic but giving us a delightful creation full of joy, modern spirit, sensuality and class without a single drop of water. Magnificent work Ms. Herrera! You should consider bringing it back.

I do believe that this fragrance is named Aqua because of the 'idea' behind of its creation than the selected scents or fragrant notes. The scent projects the image of a man, having the element of water, so serene, calm on the surface yet so many things to be discovered undeneath. It leads to discovery, understanding and such. Well, speaking of the scent, it is so tame, maybe just way too subtle as compared to many CH frags. both lasting power and silage are good, but there's not really much 'personality' as this is just another fragrance for any man.

Highly blended. It comes across as a fruity/herbal, light amber fragrance. I think I smell a hint of fig and rosemary, but otherwise it's more of a smell than a fragrance. It's reasonably natural smelling and there's no harshness to it; a solid "office" fragrance for when it's not too hot or too cold. There is some element (s) that's not quite right to me, whether that is a new musk molecule, iso e super, and/or calone, but it's so mild I can't say it bothers me. Pleasant, but I could certainly understand the opinion that it is nondescript.

On my skin, I really don't get any of the Aqua. In fact, I used to wear this for a night out on the town many years ago knowing it would be spicy and chill and for me that was appropriate. I get warm spice and something sweet. Perhaps the fig or lavender? I still wear it from time to time if I feel like going dancing cause it lasts on my skin all night.

Many aquatic scents seem to embody salty sea water/breezes, while CH Aqua is different, less literal; still fresh but subtly sweet and smooth. The mild fig and tonka add to the overall "summery" feel I get, almost like flavoured sparkling water (perhaps the inspiration here...) and like most CH frags Aqua has a nice, simple elegance about it.

I really hate the generic aqua scents, but this is not at all aquatic. It is maybe a fresh woody-oriental, which is something completely different. It smells great, although I cannot describe it. It is a more interesting version of a blue scent. It is also very elegant: I would not imagine a man in sportswear wearing this.

herra has typical kind of scents - they have lot of common. you like it or not. i'm in the 1st group. for me those perfums are so untoxic and long lasting (like 212). it's pleasure for me to wear them. IMHO aqua is even better than 212 and chic (dont try herrera for men yet). it's nice modern scent good for all ocassion.

Like this better than the other aquatic scents like Aqua di gio and azzaro chrome legend. Particularly, cause after the initial dry down the base notes are close to the skin and not very overwhelming or sweet. With other aquatic's the dry down was too sweet whereas in this case it has some spicy notes at the end.

Looked better when I first tried from a sample. Today, I can not say it is bad, but looks uninspired and something here remembers me smells of antiques perfumes. That's why it may looks common. It is not a forefront, modern scent, I may say. Aquatic? Well, at least not the usual "aqua"!

Herrera Aqua Carolina Herrera for men is a good one from Herrera good for the summer time especially the vetiver & lavender & White paper it transforms to a good long lasting cool smell . Thumps up Herrera.

It's an OK day-by-day fragrance. I like its clean opening. Gave it to my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. But I prefer when he wears Bvlgari Black (another present from me), of course. Lucky man he is! LOL
