Herrera Tuberose

I'm nearing the end of a recent tuberose focused journey seeking a tuberose centered perfume that works for me. I've probably sampled and/or purchased about four dozen tuberose fragrances. I waited until the end to try Nishane "Tuberoza," Nishane "Tuberoza X," Profumum Roma "Tagete," Daniel Jozier "Golden Tuberose" and Carolina Herrera "Tuberose." My tuberose "gold standards" so far have been Amouage "Love Tuberose" and Nasomatto "Narcotic V." Herrera Tuberose is a straight-forward fragrance that I consider a mixed white floral with tuberose. The opening is slightly green, slightly indolic tuberose that quickly changes. As a main player, the tuberose morphs and shifts noticeability throughout the wear. Ylang-ylang, orange blossom, jasmine and vanilla add a slightly tart but creamy & smooth element to the fragrance. I swear I smell some gardenia, as well! After an intoxicating beginning, Tuberose wears as a intimate, creamy, slightly sweet, slightly indolic, mixed floral fragrance with wafts of tuberose. To my nose, this fragrance is intimate and more of a skin scent after the first 15 minutes. The florals and vanilla are well blended. I would not consider this a thick, dense, or heady fragrance despite the perfume's richness. And the uber-greeness often associated with tuberose fragrances is minimal in the dry-down. I like Herrera Tuberose but I do not love it.

Sweetly vanillic tuberose with accents of jasmine and sweet orange blossom, opens soapy but the soapiness lessens as it breathes on the skin. Warm/hot weather is best for this, needs heat. Heavy sillage, leaves a noticeable trail and quite the compliment getter.

Sweet, bubblegum tuberose, similar to Watch by Micalef, on me. Definitely not indolic, which I prefer. This is beautiful!

Herrera Tuberose is a very pleasant well blended predominantly white floral fragrance with a small but discernible hit of vanilla and ylang ylang thrown into the mix to sweeten things up. The neroli I believe brings a soapy floral nuance into the mix in the opening which is the part I least care for but this quickly gives way to the tuberose that is slightly bubble gummy and not at all indolic (thankfully!). The jasmine I can't really pick out but I feel that's what lends a brightness to what could have otherwise been a very heavy composition because of all the florals. I really enjoy the Ylang Ylang which brings slightest hint of creamy banana-y fruitiness into the mix which lingers throughout and the slight sweetness of vanilla. The blends in this line are simply superb and very well balanced so picking notes apart is no easy task. Overall, this is one of the more pleasant tuberose fragrances in my collection and I really like it but it is not as special to me as others from this line are which is mostly because of the fragrance families I prefer. If you love florals, then this is a solid offering from the line and definitely worth checking out.

Tuberose is not a note a like as a soliflore, it is very strong for me so I prefer to stay away from tuberose constructed perfumes. But this is not the case.Firs of all here tuberose is very subtle and smoothed with orange bloosom (which I love) lilies and jasmine,ylan ylang it also has vanilla as base note and pepper at the head. It makes a completly creamy and smooth combination for me taking away the pungent and soapy facet of the tuberose.

This is a clean scent with a light floral and tuberose soupy smelling, It's a nice one for casual wearing, But it doesn't deserve the retail price, So I bought a tester bottle.

Wanted to try this and the Jasmine one by CH but the Jasmine one wasn’t available to sample without jumping from site to site. I already found two tuberose scents I like a lot/love and some I haven’t sampled yet. Compared to some I’ve tried so far, this was just ok. It’s pretty simple, and not that noteworthy. It smells classy and feminine, but also a bit boring for my taste. However maybe it’s cause I’ve been sampling like there’s no tommorow, I just don’t think it’s memorable (and thankfully I don’t love it cause if I did it would be an overpriced purchase to buy the bottle on eBay etc as I looked it up before receiving my sample). Silage is ok, not a skin scent, but not powerful and longevity is around 3 hrs give or take, perhaps more if sprayed more generously and on clothing. It wasn’t cloying and it was something that I think one could easily wear from day to night without it being offensive. I was hoping to pick up on the orange blossom and the vanilla but only got tuberose and ylang, couldn’t pick up on the jasmine either. If you want straight up smooth tuberose, this may be for you, it isn’t overly sweet or floral. It’s something I think that could be worn year round, as it isn’t a heavy scent and it’s not decadent in the sense that it would feel wasteful to wear it in the am to pm. Not sure how much it was when it was OG released, but I don’t think it’s worth more than $90, though I’m sure it was close to double that amount, and there’s much more unique and prettier tuberose perfumes on the market for less, or for more to put your money towards. Glad I tried it, but happier I didn’t want it.

Floral,very very floral! Can't smell the vanilla at all! Nice but nothing special for me! Just ok ! Tester only!

My least favorite from the ones I own by this line. It is just a bubblegum tuberose it made me sick, it also kind of smells like an expensive air freshener. You should test before buying

Carolina Herrera siempre fue, o delicado ó fuerte. Pero ésta fragancia superó a todas en su línea y lastimosamente no por algo necesariamente bueno. Al olerlo en el secante me gustó de lejos. Pero después de tenerlo, fue tan fuerte que lo tuve que regalar. Potentemente dulce y floral, casi estridente a mi percepción. Dura días en la ropa y horas en el ambiente solo al pulverizarlo. Eso es mucho. No es malo quizás, pero a mí me dió malestar y dolor de cabeza. No es algo que me suceda con perfumes, excepto con algunos perfumes árabes turbo concentrados que huelen a incienso de rosas sintéticas. No recomiendo comprarlo a ciegas, mejor un sample primero. Cada experiencia y gusto es diferente, es lo que pienso.

Nice and feminine - it's slightly green (but not "minty" as Carnal Flower with its eucalyptus note), also fresh, and a creamy type of tuberose (like Carnal Flower). Let's look at the "reminds me of" section - my favorite section. The three options offered by now are - Amouage Tuberose (sweeter and powdery), TF Black Orchid (beautifully opulent), Fracas (a bit dated with its complexity). CH Tuberose smells like neither of these to me, but it's beautiful nevertheless. The closest white floral I've smelt is Aerin's Hibiscus Palm - a beloved scent of mine,which ,understandably, my family is quite familiar with. SL Datura Noir and TF Tuberose Nue feature similar angle on tuberose. Upon sampling Carolina Herrera - everyone thought they were smelling my Hibiscus Palm on a blotter and wondered why I introduce it as something new. CH Tuberose is somehow a tiny bit sweeter, but just as green and bright as Aerin's perfume. They are not exact dupes, but 90% similar - enough to not need own both. The other 10% is some density added like in PDM Sedbury. The pyramids of CH Tuberose and Hibiscus Palm are different and HP doesn't even list tuberose as note. However, the frangipani (fresh floral) + palm leaf (green) + coconut (creamy) in it, seem to do the same job for the nose as CH Tuberose. It lacks the powdery aspects of Pure poison and doesn't leave you smelling either like bubblegum or too botanical. It's well balanced in every way. But should I spend the money, I'll check out first the other offerings from CH collection. If I ever receive it as a gift, it's pure quality and definitely a keeper.

I tested it in TSUM, Moscow oldest shopping center. Nice smell, but to be honest, I didn't find it very special. Just another floral scent. If you want a much more pronounced tuberose, try the newest edition of the Carolina Herrera New York scent from the same collection. I've made a review on the appropriate page. The longevity was short on my skin and nothing special in the drydown.

A beautiful white floral. Well blended but as I feel with many designer luxury brands a bit generic in order to appeal to the masses. It dries down to a very sweet thick vanilla. It does last quite a long time though...stayed with me even after a dip in the jacuzzi..beating the scent of chlorine by a mile. Not inexpensive so definitely sample before a FB purchase.

This fragrance is composed of my three favorite notes and I considered blind buying. I’m so happy that I didn’t. It’s very soapy on my skin for a significant period of time. As it dries down, it becomes less soapy, very dense floral, and vintage. Ultimately, this fragrance ends smelling like men’s shaving cream.

Nice scent (tried on Istanbul airport) . It reminded me of a more gentle version of Black Orchid where in stead of orchid is tuberose. Nice nonetheless. Looking for a Black orchid with tuberose? Try this. Looking for a day appropriate suny milky white flower version of BO? Try this.
