Almond Cookie

I love, love, LOVE this sweet marzipan fragrance. I'ts mouth watering and oh so comforting. I received a generous decant from a friend a few years ago I drove her potty by raving about it every time she wore it, she eventually presented me with a small bottle syphoned off from hers. I now only have about 2ml remaining .... All I keep doing is smelling the bottle as I don't want to wear the last of it and have none left :( The smell as soon as you spray it on is pure almond - it smells just like the classiest ever bottle of pure almond essence and it soon dries down to a softer sweeter marzipan with a hint of vanilla, after a while you need to refresh it thoug, as eventually a powderiness develops which I don't love as much. It's a good "scarf" fragrance as on fabric it retains the almondiness more noticeably than on skin. If anyone has an unwanted part used bottle I'll be happy to arrange a swap for some or all of it.

Just received this yesterday in a LE 3-piece gift set. Not disappointed! Reminds me of Perlier's White Almond, to the T!!! So if you like that, you'll love this. Ingredients listed include (in this order): Sweet Marzipan, Tonka Bean, Warm Vanilla. Good stuff...

wish this wasn't discontinued. I enjoyed this sweet powdery scent.

Definitely more almond, than cookie. I got my sister to try some (because she loves almond, but her body chemistry changes all perfumes into something else) and she loved it. It is true to it's almond-y goodness. I can recommend it to anyone who likes the smell of Jergens lotion as well.

I really liked this fragrance...liked, but it wasn't love. I love the sweet powdery almond, but I have an certain degree of dislike for the play-dough smell...if it were not for that, I am certain that this would be one of my very favorites.

I just got a bottle of the new formulation (it's back!), and it's a benzoin bomb with heavy bitter almond opening. Not very gourmand, more clean-fresh-soapy even medicinal almond. Very interesting and smells way more expensive than it is!

I absolutely love this perfume as it reminds me of my Granny's hand lotion. Jergens original Cherry Almond scent. This is very comforting to me but my son says it smells like baby powder to him. All I know is I love it.

I am going to echo what bmars86 said. It goes on nice, but suddenly it's all powder, all the time. It has a strong smell, in a good way. I have a cold and can barely breathe, but can still detect this aroma on me.

I really did not love this at first, mostly because I had a certain expectation of what it would smell like, but it has grown on me. It reminded me a lot of Al Rehab’s Noria which I am not a fan of. After a few tries, and accepting that this is incorrectly named, I kinda like it. I get a little bit of cherry-like almond extract when first applied, which competes with the powdery note. The almond fades and eventually a sweet, dusty, powdery sandalwood is left on my skin. It’s not vanilla, cookie or marzipan to me at all. Personally, I think there are better almond scents out there but this is worth trying- just don’t expect a gourmand scent.

My mother in law's neighbor gave me a hug and said, "Ohhhh, I know this fragrance! You're wearing Emeraude!" lol I was not happy to say the least. I wanted an Almond/Cherry cookie scent. This dried down quickly to a woody, vintage, powdery scent. I will be gifting this one to the thrift shop, as I do with all of my decluttered scents. Life is too short to keep scents that are not what I wanted or loved. I believe the original Almond Cookie was much better, but as with all reformulations...nope!

When I was in the USA I tried this one. The opening was soooo delicious and interesting, true almond/marzipan. My mom and I went crazy over it and we almost bought it, but in the end, I'm glad we didn't. Because after an hour the scent settled down on my skin as a 'old dusty mouldy lady'-scent. Not like the perfume that the lady would wear, just the lady herself. Yes, it was a weird skinreaction, so... Always have patience before buying something.

I blind bought this without looking at these reviews🤦 Yes it turns into a powdery vintage scent a few minutes in. It's not worth the return shipping fees. So I mixed it with my Lost Cherry dupe from ALT. (Cherry Smash) and it smells like Almond cherry lotion scent! I can work with that. Going to let sit longer and see if it gets better though.

I truly dislike this. I was promised almond cookies but they're not here. This is very musky on me, mixed with some aldehydes and a ton of baby powder. This bears a strong resemblance to Teint De Neige on me. One of the worst "almonds" I've ever tried.

So I blind bought this because I would love to find a scent that smells like real almond cookies, and I remember having a body butter from Carol's Daughter over ten years ago and remember it smelling sooo good. I sprayed a little on my wrist last night after I got the bottle and I really liked it! I immediately detected the cherry in the first whiff, and then the cherry disappeared and it settled down into a powdery almond and slightly vanilla smell. Really nice but not groundbreaking. I could not stop sniffing my wrist thou. Then I decided to try a little Fructus Virginus over top with that lovely cherry note in it (thanks for the idea Carmencreatrix!) and wow!! Absolutely love! I think I might wear this combo later and update on my feelings. Update: After having this perfume for months and not feeling like I wanted to wear it, I ended up decluttering it. It smelled weird to me. Kinda like bad almonds and unwashed body parts.

Thank GOODNESS I was able to test this before I purchased it blind! Thank you, Macy's! I put on some of the Almond Cookie Souffle in Macy's and it smelled beautiful. Smelled just like the name. Like an Almond Cookie! So sweet and vanillaish and almondy, etc. I had smelled this last year but I hadn't tested it but earlier today I saw Lisa Price on HSN selling this and she said it had a baby powder smell to it. Huh? I rubbed this all over my arms and the nice almond cookie smell was there. I walked around Macy's about to purchase it when 10 minutes later, BOOM! Johnson's BABY POWDER! WHYYYYYYY, LISA?!?!?!?! WHY did you ruin this beautiful scent with this nasty dry down?

Not quite what I was expecting. I went headfirst into this with expectations of a true "cookie" scent. I bought the whole set plus the dry oil. Whoa. First spritz gives you the almond but then powder completely overtakes the fragrance. It smells okay but quite "mature". Actually that's kind of ironic considering the diapery smell. I find myself sniffing repeatedly at my wrist to see if this is really happening. Yep. Powder. I mean don't get me wrong I like a good powder as much as the next gal. But when your craving cookies, powder ain't gonna cut it. I will use with a light hand until its hone but I think this relationship is over.

I picked this up at Ulta a while back because I was looking for something intensely almondy that was more casual than Hypnotic Poison. Well, it certainly is intensely almondy. At first I liked it, but then it began to remind me of the Tutti Dolci line from Bath & Body Works circa 2003 and I just got sick of it. I ended up giving it away to a co-worker. This is something that frequently happens to me with gourmands. Almond Cookie, if the name didn't already indicate it, is for gourmand lovers only. I am still looking for a fresh, natural almond fragrance.

this is a peculiar fragrance. on first spray, it smells like almond, then after 1-2 minutes takes on the scent of baby powder. I like the powdery smell of Avon Sweet Honesty, but in a fragrance that's supposed to be almond-scented, I'm not a fan of it. but after wearing it for a few hours, it bizarrely smells like almond again (and sandalwood). Would not repurchase.

This is so gorgeous straight out of the bottle. It turns into a baby powder mess on my skin within minutes but thanks to the tip from Beadyjan, I finally realized that this stays pretty on fabrics for hours. Now I can bask in a slightly powdery cloud of cherry marzipan deliciousness all day. :)

The problem with this scent is that it smells great in the bottle - just like an almond cookie. When you put it on, it reminds me of an old lady perfume. Very powdery and strong. Not youthful at all. This would be great for a grandma though.

This is very good! If you are a lover of almond scents, this is about the best you can get. The name "almond cookie" suggests something very sweet; yet its not. This almost smells like stright almond extract to me..so good!

This perfume looks amazing based on the review and notes. Does anyone know how where I can purchase this from ? I'm from Australia and this seems impossible to find and very difficult online too.

Smells like the almond paste in my beloved almond croissants. First spray is heavenly, but not a huge fan of the powdery dry down. Wish the almond/marzipan scent lasted longer!
