I’m shocked there is just one comment about this perfume although it was made already some time ago and by a such respectable house. I have to admit it was not love from a first sight. After 2 tests it seamed to me just a sugary sweet and plain another vanilla like million others around now. But then I got a sample and had a chance to try to wear it. Oh my god, how my impression changed about this perfume! It’s such gorgeous complex vanilla, mixed with some mineral and airy notes (thanks to ambroxan), caramel with a warm comforting amber dry down. It’s grown up, sophisticated and absolutely beautiful. And it’s blended to perfection. Tuberose and jasmine don’t stand out too much but just perfectly make it more round and complete. This is vanilla with class and style. I got a full bottle and can’t stop using it although have around 50 other perfumes. It’s a signature worth perfume, suitable for day and night and I’d say all year round except for hot summer days since it’s just a little too warm. I even can see it as a wedding perfume :) Longevity is long lasting and protection is moderate to strong. I can still smell my trail after hours and days after on clothes. (I’ve got hot dry skin).

Atmah by Caron honestly feels like the kind of perfume that slowly pulls you in the more you wear it ✨ Warm, creamy, musky, and softly woody in the prettiest way It smells elegant without trying too hard like clean luxury with a soft feminine edge. There’s something really comforting about it too. It gives me the feeling of getting ready slowly before a dinner night, soft lighting, jewelry, silk outfits that whole calm elegant mood ⚜️ Definitely more of an evening / colder weather scent for me, and I’d say it leans beautifully unisex The longevity is honestly so good too it stays on skin and clothes in such a smooth addictive way.

From the first spray, Atmah felt special. Calm, elegant, and deeply refined with a strong personality hidden beneath its softness. It’s not loud or sweet, yet it leaves a memorable presence. What I love most is how balanced it feels, warm without heaviness, soft without smelling “clean,” and luxurious in a very understated way. Out of everything I tested that day, this was the only fragrance that truly felt like me.

I perceive Atmah as a good step back towards the track that is the heritage of Caron. First of all, Atmah is not as saccharine as Caron's late many releases - this one is still too sweet in my opinion, but at least it feels more like sugar, rather than the aspartame that has otherwise been the recent style of this house. And there are several good tunes in Atmah. The vanilla is one that I find Caron worthy, being quite natural throughout most of the span - even if it settles as pure vanillin in the base. There's a great part where it is pleasantly more Jamaican rum barrel than vanilla sundae. The pink pepper opens Atmah extremely well. It is a well dried, but freshly grinded pepper, with delightful coniferous hints. The tuberose is good and wintergreenish, and the whole floral facet of Atmah is luckily quite mature. I find the musks are very well blended, even though I could wish for a slight animalic purr to be added. Personally, I have a hard time with the ‘amberwoods’, but Caron is far from alone in this trend. To me, they quickly smell like a vinyl floored printer room with burned out copying machines - inky in an industrial way. Some facets of Atmah give me associations to the original Parfum Sacré, as if Atmah could be Sacré's gen Z daughter. They share certain traits and features, and both are to me in the category of winter florals. As a diehard disciple of Caron, who owns and cherishes most of the house's pre 2000’s releases, Atmah gives me hope - A hope that this is a first and careful step back on track, back to that place where Caron does it the best.

Ooohhh this is absolut 10/10 - big love! What a beautiful new realise from Caron! From notes, you could say this is quite feminine, but to me, this is perfectly unisex - warm, a bit sweet, woody perfume with creamy notes in the dry down. At first, I thought about sandalwood because it has this kind of creamy, smooth, woody touch that sandalwood tends to give to a scent. This is very, very smooth, silky perfume; it's for sure not a juvenile sweet vanilla gourmand... no no... this feels very sexy and luxurious, opulent vanilla that is somewhere in the background of other notes. It just feels so right, very balanced and done to perfection. I think this is perfect perfume for a date night or special evening, this is beautiful and sexy. Not a lot of Caron scents feel sexy as they lean more to the elegant side but this.... omg to die!!! 100% unisex, I think this would be amazing on males. Longevity is perfect, lasts more than 12 hours, on clothing even till the next day, and the projection in the first few hours is good, you have a very lovely scent bubble.
