French Cancan

review for the pure perfume version, 30ml, version of 2017: one of the most beautiful scents I have smelled yet. A perfect, extreme high quality mixture of deep sandalwood, amber, white and purple flowers and a dry. luxurius leather note. And I love that it is a spicy, warm, leathery scent without the ever present animal oud that is found in pretty much every scent these days. This pure perfume version of 'French Cancan' of 2017 is actually a true and mostly unchanged version of the vintage perfume of this scent. It is elegant, deep, leathery, spicy, very feminine and very high quality in a way you don't find them often. Longevity is superb, you can smell one single spray on the wrist 20 hours and more. Wearing it feels like being thrown back into the 1920s/30s glam era, like wearing a beautiful black glitter dress and an elegant smokey leather coat with it. Sadly, the house of Caron has discontinued this lovely treasure, amongst others of the Prive-line, as apart from the new EFRA-rules new business relations seemed more important than keeping such classics in production. It is still available in some few shops at the moment and for the first time ever I bought three stock bottles, as I find it so wonderful and I hope they will last for very long. If you like these kind of classic, elegant, spicy perfumes, you should give this a try, and fast.

Can can has always been a unique favorite floral of mine. The 2019 hasnt changed all that much than past editions and one of the best preserved of the line. 2019 edp reviewed.
