La Selection Nocturnes

Achh some have only "seduction" in their heads, as if the only purpose of this life is to expose yourself like a piece of meat to the butcher and all the perfume out there "need" to be a frivolous exposition of this desire, well no. This one is a typical Caron signature as some below very well observed, it is a perfume designed for a sober but still fine woman, a perfume for a business-inspired outfit, an impeccable black double blazer and some straight black pants but with a turtle blouse in a powdery color, is the perfume that says power but retains a more childish aura, inspires me a young woman who knows how to speak business but she has not yet learned how to scream and punch the table. The perfume itself has a very pure chypre aura, with a predominant floral undertone especially neroli and tuberose and that childish part I think came from musk and ylang ylang, which together in a certain dosage smell like those scented mini baby wipes you give to the child in kindergarten to wipe the hands or nose. Together create a charming combination, if I think about it, it's the same image that you see and feel when a small and innocent child spray her clothes with her high career sober powerful mother perfume, it makes you feel anxious, you feel the weight of the perfume vibrating, but you still find it adorable.

This is good news to me. Caron have done an excellent job with this reinterpretation. I actually prefer it over the original formula, (same goes for the new Guerlain Jicky edp by the way). The new Nocturnes seems like a smoother, richer, more refined blend. I love the sandalwoody drydown. Don't dismiss this one just because it's a reformulation. Try it before you make judgement.

Nocturnes is a beautiful reinterpretation of a legendary and refined perfume, perhaps quite far from the original... but in its distance it still manages to be a very beautiful floral. Although modernized, this fragrance has a hyper feminine tuberose, ylang and jasmine. I can feel a neroli at the top suitable for spring and even summer, but I use it all year round. It's modern, but it's classic. It has the necessary attributes to dress smart and at the same time not be too stuffy. It is definitely one of the most crystalline and chic floral perfumes I have smelled, any moment is suitable for its fantastic smell. However, I do not recommend a purchase without trying it first, because its effervescent output (with aldehydes) can seem a bit vintage. But if you love the mix of modernity with the beauty of a clear, diaphanous, feminine and beautiful floral that was created in other decades, you will be in love. A bright and sunny morning in winter or spring is perfect for your soul, light clothes, loose and natural hair will be the star combination in this new jewel

Caron's Nocturnes EDP does an interesting number on my skin: for the first 5 minutes it starts off as a glamorous powdery, musky, and jasmine perfume of the 50ies and 60ies. In the next 5 minutes the rose appears and dominates. The dry down is actually very tropical and I swear I can sense pineapple in it as well. Worthy of consideration if you love older Parisian perfumes.

i wear the old version ,the bottle is more esthetic ,and the perfume is more interessant than the new one ,more deeper just like his name :nocturnes .....if you can ,keep the older!!
