UPDATE (9/5/24): I typically love gourmands, floral-gourmands, or lactonic/creamy-woody fragrances... this is the type of fragrance that I like to have in my arsenal when I want a light & delightful scent bubble. It is lactonic but not overtly-so. It is woody, but very smooth. It does have rose but it's a light fresh "pink" type of rose and doesn't dominate the aroma... this is in the same vein as MOLTEN BROWN Milk Musk. It's clean without being soapy. Just a beautiful fresh fragrance that makes my lactonic-woody-fragrance-loving heart smile. Very pretty and feminine without being super-fem, pink, or sweet.

MUSC OLI is the opposite of a Bro-scent. This is definitely understated class and elegance for confident people, not for your average insecure boys and girls. Caron is known for its old classics, the public should redirect their attention to the new lines such as Oud Excelsa, the Tabac line and this one... Well done, Jean Jacques!

Modern molecular musk. Starts with slightly chemical opening, but after 10-15 minutes develops into the softest scent ever: clean and fluffy. I can feel some lactonic accord which I really appreciate. Quite long lasting with a good project, which is kinda rare for musky scents. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

O god yes. I’m all into these luscious, lustfull, earthy, bold, here I am, provoking but don’t mess with me scents these days and this falls right into it. It’s soft enough to feel hugged, ambroxan yes but not like you think your hair is on fire.

I adore it, it’s clean, lactonic, powedery and soft. It’s one of my top 5 perfumes and my signature scent for this spring and summer. I think it could work very well all year long, suitable for all occasions.

To me this is a very nice creamy, lactonic and warm musk with some woodsy quality. Very enveloping and perfect for cold weather, but in general quite versatile I think, and the bottle is really beautiful.

Not 🧼 clean but 🌹clean. Soft but with good projection & longevity. Just something nice to wear in bed in the weekend.

clean woody musk .... very synthetic ...overdose of ambroxan...headache inducing.

This was a scrubber for me, oh my god this is the worst way to use ambroxan imo it’s so LOUD...synthetic mess & i can’t get it off, so if you’re wondering about longevity & sillage it’s def there.😭

I agree with AnastasiaGostieva where in her review she described Musc Oli as molecular. This feels like a layering fragrance rather then a scent on its own. Otherwise, in its simplicity, it smells really good don't get me wrong...its just...plain. This isn't the first simple musc fragrance i've ever tried. A similar but more complex cheap fragrance is Louis Varel's Extreme Musk. That one too reminded me of whitewash at first but that one has a subtle and sweet powdery caramel that gives it some facets. Musc Oli smells like the color white, thats pretty much it. It would be OK as a layering tool or "not a perfume" type of fragrance if not for the price tag. For reference, it costs as much as an Amouage, even Amouages can be found for cheaper! Extreme Musk is a simple second skin type scent too but atleast its cheap cheap so it has its uses, not to mention it has more going on aswell. It reminds me somewhat of Ajmal's Amber Musk.

Synthetic mess that just gave me a headache. Loaded with ambroxan and other chemicals, smells like neglected wet musty dirty laundry that was covered with tons of soap. Yeah, it smells synthetic, musty, dirty and soapy all at the same time. But after a while I can't smell anything because of the burning nose effect of the aromachemicals used here! So synthetic it is a headache in a bottle!

Very unisex Musc. It has some aromatic qualities which surprise me given the note breakdown. It’s smells clean without being soapy, very lightly lactonic, very neutral yet pleasant. Lasting power is good and the bottle is stunning. I sampled first then bought a 50ml and paid shipping to get it in the US.

The name in the database is wrong, it’s called Musk “OLI” not Musk “Oil”
