Nuit de Noel Extrait de Parfum

I spent the day wearing Caron Nuit de Noel and before the dawn of oud perfumes and woody fragrances on every corner, I spent many winter days wearing Nuit de Noel. It used to be, prior to maybe the 1980's, the gold standard of winter fragrances for adult women. Sophisticated adult women, who went to nightclubs in New York, women over 40. At least that's what it seemed to me in the 1960's, when I was a woman in my 20's. I would be standing at the Caron counter of nearly every major department store (they don't call them the good old days for nothing) buying a small bottle of Bellodgia cologne (they sold colognes then) or Fleurs de Rocaille, and smelling whatever else they had. I remember the saleswomen presenting Nuit de Noel and me thinking it was going to be a glitzy spritz fragrance like a Dana scent or something, and instead getting a darkly sophisticated scent I completely didn't understand. Nuit de Noel is hardly a "floral scent" as it's identified here. Floral-oriental maybe. It's full of rose and oakmoss, and a richness that can stand up to the Montale/Roja Dove/ Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrances on today's market. Amber and truly is balsamic, although no one ever used that word anywhere (to describe perfume or gourmet vinegar) before about 2002. It lasts at least 7-8 hours with decent sillage. And there is lots of Nuit de Noel on eBay right now, or I wouldn't bother to review it. Sellers must have a lot of it out of estate sales, although the iconic black parfum bottle has been in production in some size continuously through at least 2005. So there's a lot of it around. I don't know how well it's been selling though; there are very few department stores with Caron counters now (Christmas 2019) and tons of competition. In any case, there's a lot of it on eBay, and not all empty bottles, so maybe they'll reduce their prices now that it's too late (December 19th) to ship for arrival by Christmas. I came to the party for Nuit de Noel sometime in the late 1980's, when I was 40+ years old and had a lot of perfume and life experience. I've had the edp bottles, and the juice is comparable. But it goes bad faster than the parfum, and that black bottle has to be the best example of a widely available art deco object ever. Don't expect actual sharkskin if you get the full presentation with the green Japanese inro inspired box. It's green paper with a pebbled design to resemble sharkskin. But well worth having both the box and green tassel, and the parfum. When I was younger I didn't get why they called it Nuit de Noel either. Christmas night, no one goes out Christmas night. There are usually no huge parties Christmas night, women don't dress up in glittery sequined clothes then either, which is what you usually associate with wearing perfume this classy. You are with family on Christmas night, maybe not wearing much perfume at all if you're a traditional woman and not a Fragrantica habitue. I think Nuit de Noel is meant to represent contentment. You've had a great Christmas, gotten at least one beautiful treasure (the perfume), if not many, you've dined well, and you're with a loving family. So all's well, and you feel and smell the best ever. (Yes, the 1930's were the scene of the most horrible worldwide depression ever, and very few women ever have been able to use perfume of any price as an escape mechanism, but especially not then. But Fragrantica is about romanticism here, not reality.) Joyeux Noel to all.

I'm mildly obsessed, or perhaps enchanted is a better word. This perfume is like a flickering soft flame, mesmerising. My fascination began when I started to paint beautiful glassware, 18th century hand-blown glasses, Victorian ruby-red perfume bottles, then this exquisite creation by Félicie Wanpouille for Caron. Having familiarised myself with what must be one of the most beautiful perfume bottles ever created, I had to try the vintage perfume. I honestly wasn't expecting too much; an old school, aged aesthetic, appreciable for its time - maybe charming, but not something I'd wear, or find as beautiful as the bottle, I thought. I was wrong. It took me so much by surprise it made me cry. It was proof of what perfume can be, and it was the journey it took me on. The opening, slightly vinegary, powdery violets emerge, a little rose, candied ylang. Ok. Nice. Over the next half hour or so it becomes smooth, pliant, sinuously green, soapy, elegant, mossy and undeniably classy. Timeless. I let it speak - stopped analysing. It became kittenish, soft and warm, like intimacy, but not in an erotic sense - more the idea that someone leans towards you and says 'Shhhhhh'. Then it became like a soft flickering candle - light and shimmery. It was still sweet, but not candy-like, more like a sweet caress. It all swirled into a gentle, sacred moment of quiet, I detected notes of frankincense, making me think of the Midnight Mass this was named for. Over the next hours it stayed with me like a warm flame nurtured after a sacred moment while walking home through icy streets. Finally, it's all about home-coming, like a caress but this time human, salty, warm and grounding. Delectable sandalwood, incense powder emerges, a furry warmth that reminds me a little of Channel's Bois des Iles, but fruitier. This is why we keep exploring perfume, through hundreds of nice enough, lovely or forgettable scents, here you're reminded (if your heart, mind and imagination are open) of why perfume matters. I adore it.

This is my Christmas Day perfume, and has been ever since my mother sprayed a very small amount on me as a child. She or my grandmother sprayed me every Christmas until I left home, at which time I was given my own bottle. I was 18 then, and am now 60...Nuit de Noel and I go back a long way. To my mind, this is the most beautiful perfume ever. I have many that I love deeply and I treasure each one for its own attributes, but this is special. History, I suppose, but also the actual glory of the fragrance. One little dab in the morning and it is still going strong this evening. On first application it tempts you to over apply, as it does not give up its secrets straight away. Leave it a while and get on with the business of Christmas morning, and you will suddenly become aware of it. It needs the warmth of your skin to come to life. As usual, I cannot tell you which notes I recognise. This is superbly blended and for the first several hours I smell the sweetness of the flowers. There is an incense-type smell, but it does not give me the "eau de plastic" that I am always aware of in Parfum Sacré. It is more musky, like Goutal's beautiful Musc Nomade. As it slowly shows its heart I feel as though I am smelling almonds: sweet, marzipanny almonds. I can almost taste them and this feels satisfying in the mouth somehow. The flowers are still there. They are always there. It is as though they do not fade, but swell and grow, and are joined, slowly, by the other players, none of which I can identify individually. I cannot stop sniffing this. It is so, so beautiful. My Christmas perfume. Glorious.

I can't remember if I've ever reviewed this, but I should have. This fragrance is truly iconic, even if you don't buy it in this original black glass deco bottle. But you should spring for the black bottle; maybe you can talk some eBay seller down now that it's after Christmas. Nuit de Noel is everything you wish for in an adult fragrance, especially if you favor all the oud/amber/patchouli fragrances that have swept you off your feet since maybe 2008. Nuit de Noel is the real deal, and all the way back to 1922. I am an old lady, but I promise you won't feel like an old woman wearing it. This isn't your great aunt Dorothy's perfume (unless she was maybe Dorothy Parker [Google her]). This is the fragrance of truly great independent women from 1922 onward, eras when women had little to choose from if they wanted to feel spectacular and apart from the pack of women wearing cloyingly sweet floral perfumes. Until maybe 2000, Caron perfumes were sold in all the big US department stores, and even in the department stores in small towns of under 100,000. Nuit de Noel wasn't Caron's biggest seller ever; Fleurs de Rocaille and Bellodgia took those honors. That's all gone now; but those black bottles of Nuit de Noel are still around online. And don't get hung up on the name; it's not a "Christmas woodsy" scent. No pine tree ever graced this stuff. It's what used to be called an "oriental scent," which covered a lot of territory between 1922-1980. Heavily oakmoss and sandalwood, dark and brooding, not at all sweet, touches of rose and jasmine. Worth every penny spent.

A dusty plum, a real pip, a marron glacé flavored with rose water, a cinematic woods, a shadowy drone: these are all Nuit de Noël to me. The line "whispers in the powder room" from the Womack & Womack song Teardrops comes to mind. It starts to appear as a silent radiance, a marked muffle of the flowers, a ylang-ylang pastel, shifting light on crinoline-like petals, a mystic's den decorated with crystals and urns. A window is open, and it's raining, trees and greenery and earth, pregnant with dampness. A candle, at once lit, now snuffed out by the wind, leaving a trail in its wake. It's now all a hush, a soft spice rubbed onto a creamy sandalwood, rain evaporating, a dry repose, licorice all-sorts in a hobnail candy dish, sipping Fernet Branca, while the ghost of a hundred sables fills the room. The apparition haunts, as their little marten eyes pierce through the darkness, a plush, mammalian musk from under the 'Mousse de Saxe,' tinted tarragon and slightly fatigued from age. A creamy haze and furry gaze, a gaiety in sepia, an evening Pollyanna reading Nietzsche. Whether dapper, a flapper, or a serial napper, Nuit de Noël is for every season, for any reason.

Wearing the vintage version from an old black Baccarat bottle that came in the green sharkskin box. I think the older version had aldehyde top notes that are off on first application, but then it becomes very older style, full of real oak moss, powdery and earthy forest floor simultaneously, and also a delicious rose scent. There's also a lot of real sandalwood that lends a spiciness that suggests the Christmas Eve connection that's totally missing from the reformulation. What a shame this was altered, as so many Carons were reformulated drastically in the 1990's after they were purchased by the Ales company and the head perfumer was changed. The reformulated version has very little if any oak moss and is made very dark and gothic I think by synthetic musk or vetiver. They have very different notes. The older version is long lasting due to its oak moss fixative power and throws off a good amount of projection. A lovely, lovely fragrance that is now one of my favorites. I think this one is perfect for a cozy winter evening. The reformulation is more for an austere, cool feeling.

My grandmothers best friend wore NdN. One day I went to her house with my grandmother and gave her a hug. I told her she smelled wonderful. She said she wore NdN because she loved Christmas and wanted Christmas with her every day. She was one of the very wealthy ladies in our town. Only to find out this was the French house Caron..of course she would wear that..and probably went to great lengths to obtain a bottle since this was the late 70s and we were in a rural area. Fast forward to Christmas 2016 and I have a bottle of my own. The lovely almost alkaline vanillic chestnut scent is unique with its multilayered prismatic formula. It changes with you but also brings comfort. My significant other remarked how wonderful I smelled opening presents. I told him the story of NdN and he was delighted. Vintage .5oz parfum. Comfort and Joy.

I love Nuit de Noel Extrait de Parfum!! I love it to the ends of the earth! It's so beautiful! It's one of my signature scents (I have many! I love so many, I feel so attached to so many perfumes!!), but really I love this one the most - I really do!!! It is unique and perfect. And I just love the bottle, and everything about it to the nth degree!!! It's sublime!!! Superb. I can't can't can't describe the beauty of it. It's beautiful sweet flowers, gorgeous almost incensy musk and spices, there's a lovely marzipanish-type smell, absolutely warm and creamy amber and lovely dark moist oakmoss. But it's just perfect, that's all I can say! And it lasts oh my god for a long time! All day. Lovely day of beautiful beautiful smells, and of course I always put more on every so often because I want more of it!!!! It's adorable!!!

Oh it is gorgeous!!!! It is my signature scent!!!! I adore it, it's heavenly!!!!! And so is the bottle. I adore adore adore the bottle it's fantastically beautiful!!!!! I love love LOVE this gorgeous GORGEOUS soft rich demure strong womanly mature and deep perfume!!! It's everything I've ever dreamed of in a perfume. It has such a beautiful air of mystery and sensuality. It's DIVINE!!!! The name - Nuit de Noël - is perfect!!!! DIVINE DIVINE perfume!!!! Divine bottle!!!!! Heavenly heavenly!!! I get so many beautiful compliments when I wear this, and it has wonderful lasting power - about 14 hours. It's soft but very strong, and I can smell it all the time without having to put my nose close to my skin. It's the most gorgeous perfume in the world!!!!

The gorgeous overdose of sandalwood... dunno why no one mentioned it but there definitely bergamot in the top notes, and a bit of lemon... and mousse de saxe is the goat, literally the first time I can smell coldness in a perfume, not like the chemical watery stuff today, but the real cold breath u get in snowy winters, sublime and legendary, ate with no crumbs left

I love this perfume so much. My mother wore it too, when I was young, and I have so much love for it, and her. She was such a beautiful, and loving mother, and her perfume, Nuit de Noel, by Caron, was absolutely her. I adore it. It's my favourite of all, because I absolutely love the divine smell, and because it is totally reminiscent of her love, and beauty.

Now this is what perfume is supposed to smell like! Deep, balanced, womanly, mellow, conveys a private happiness. I am lucky enough to have a pre 1990s black bottle. Simply gorgeous. I shall be in mourning when it is gone.

This is nothing like the EDP. This is heavy oakmoss, rose, ylang, sandalwood and musk. Very heavy, intense and spicy.

I am surprised that even though this is from the 1920's, it doesn't completely scream 'vintage!' It is perhaps dated in the sense it seems like something from the 80s, but would not have guessed it was from that far back. I also didn't know what to expect with this being called Nuit de Noel, the first thing that I thought it would be is warm spicy. This however is a lot more mossy and green smelling, with some floral, at least at first. The oakmoss is strong in it, and I agree that is has a more subdued and reflecting feeling to it. Like it's bitterly cold, dark, and snowy out, and you just came inside and you're wrapped up warm inside by a fire, reflecting on the last year and content that, despite the weather, you're grateful for the small blessings you have now. Yellow floral comes out after a few minutes, as well as rose. It's dense and musky as well. I agree too it has something almost alkaline to the smell. About 15 minutes later, the sandalwood comes out a lot more, it's a lot more smoky smelling. This makes me imagine even more sitting next to a fireplace. Maybe a background of rose now. This is a lot easier to smell now than it was earlier, when it was a bit heavier, and feels a lot more wintery/Christmas-y. Still a slowed down and pensive feeling, though. After 30 minutes, it's soapy smelling, but not in a bad way, and a bit more floral. I quite enjoy it and keep smelling it. It smells expensive as well. It's slightly more joyful and clean, yet musky, compared to the more melancholy feeling earlier. I didn't expect the drydown to be like this, but I don't mind it. At times it's more incensey/smoky, other times not, but this seems like a good friend to have on a cold winter night. I can smell this within about 5" of my skin, I will see how long this lasts. 2.5 hours later, it's still pretty strong on my skin, and more of a vintage slightly powdery floral now. 8 hours later and the scent is still a vintage powdery scent, but it's impressively still pretty strong smelling on my skin Wow, 13 hours later and I can still smell it and it's still definitely there and noticeable on my skin, no having to try and smell it. I have to go to bed at this point so not sure exactly when it will end, but this lasts forever.

I am on a roll this week picking up vintage perfumes on Ebay! I just won a used bottle of NdeN with the original box and a mottled green travel case (that looks quite elegant) for what I believe to be a very good price. Of course, I won't know for sure how well the juice has been preserved until I receive up, but with the return policy I feel confident. I will write more when I receive it. I have also acquired Fleurs de Rocaille in both extrait and EDP form, and have a bid on Bellodgia EDP. I started off this year without any Carons in my collection and now have 5 with a possible 6th on the way! Only you, my fellow Fragranticians, could possibly understand why that brings me such great joy. Will update soon! 3/6/2019 - she has arrived and is exquisite. She somehow manages to bridge the gap between vintage and modern. I have placed a dab on each wrist, and perhaps by power of suggestion, the first thought I had was of an idealized family Christmas Eve. That alone is wonderful but within a few minutes it becomes clear that this is far more seductive than wholesome. I have no idea how old my bottle is (edit - from 1986) and I can't compare it to any other versions, but it is clear that this has been well preserved and if it has lost any of it's original notes, I'm not missing them. Incredibly well blended, the ylang softens the wonderful amber and sandal just enough to taper any sharp edges while still maintaining their distinct aroma. I don't usually have perfumes that I save for special occasions, but given the rarity of having this well preserved, albeit used, juice at a fraction of the cost of what a full, unopened bottle would cost, I intend to savor this one and use only when I deem the occasion special enough. Knowing me, that could be tomorrow!

A dark Christmas horror story for winter.

Don't be fooled by the name. You can wear this year-round. Don't miss such a good fragrance. I don't like amber fragrance so much, but this is an exception. Warm like a candle-lit, so cozy and relaxed. I feel sourness slightly, it reminds me of giggles of young girls. If you like Akkad by Lubin, you'll like this too.

My review is for the original, from a pre-1930s bottle (to my knowledge). It smells very similar to the reformulated version, but you can still definitely tell which is the older version. The reviews saying this smells like Christmas bewilder me. This smells like a ylang-heavy, dated, grandma-type perfume. It's complex, but smells very generic and similar to other perfumes so loved by our grandmothers. This seems to be the only reason for the association with Christmas and holidays for me. It smells how I remember friends' grandmothers smelling. It sparkles a tiny bit, probably due to m. ore than one type of ylang-ylang being used. I swear there must be a tiny bit of bergamot in here, but without the telltale allergic reaction, it must just be high natural limonene content from another ingredient. The oakmoss has faded with time, but must have been superb as a new bottle. Unfortunately this is not my style at all. It's worth trying to smell the history. (It does definitely have the stereotypical Caron DNA, so if you're not a fan of the house, this will almost certainly be a scrubber for you.) Just know that it is a heavy floral, with no easily perceptible herbal or woodsy notes, and has a very dated impression. Someone will think you had been visiting your elders unless it transforms uniquely on your skin. The quality is excellent, it fills a room with no effort, and dries down to a skin scent around hour 6 in dry winter months.

Fragrance Review For Nuit de Noel Extrait De Parfum Caron Top Notes Ylang Ylang Rose Jasmine Middle Notes Sandalwood Oak Moss Base Notes Amber Musk The extract or pure parfum is a much deeper juicier fragrant and opulent concentration of the original vintage 1922 classic Nuit de Noel from Caron. For me this is as beautiful and as perfectly suited for Christmas as the line's own Parfum Sacre and Une Femme. This frag has elements of each of those perfumes, but being a concentree extrait has more volume and color. This smells of Christmas floral bouquets, Near East myrrh and floral incense and of a perfumed depiction of the gifts of the Magi. This is exotic and grandiose. It smells of the Nativity of the night Jesus was born which is why they have aptly named it Christmas Night. This version can be found on eBay where I bought mine and comes in a black bottle. The sillage and projection is phenomenal and lasts forever. The scent opens with floral incense. Rather than coming off as fresh floral it's quite a smoky Oriental floral with rose and jasmine. The ylang is there too but to me it's a brief slightly fruity prelude to the more Oriental rose and jasmine notes. The flowers here are neither overtly feminine sweet or soapy nor anything like the fragrances that were floral best sellers in the 1920's such as Joy by Patou or Chanel No 5. This is decidedly unisex with smokier tones. The florals are suspended in an air of incense courtesy of non-incense based notes such as resins, ambers, and sandalwood. Above all it is the sandalwood that emerges as the dominant accord. This is a gorgeous rich sandalwood which evokes the time of Jesus. Sandalwood was as expensive and as prestigious an ingredient as frankincense and only the royalty of the time or the clergy were owners of this ingredient used for religious worship. The sandalwood in Nuit de Noel gives it the perfect exotic incense touch that transports you to Israel in the 1st century. A night blooming jasmine trails off before it turns into a green thing with redolent airs of moss. This is not quite a chypre but it seems to want to go there sometimes because the green moss is very strong. This is a gorgeous green moss but to me it smells not of the forest or the traditional chypre but of Christmas wreaths, like the wreaths that you hang on your door this time of year in December. It also gives it an herbal flowery air so it smells of floral wreaths that recall the flowery circular wreaths used for Christmas pageantry in the 18th and 19th centuries. This smells of wreaths found in large homes of the aristocracy in Victorian England or Germany, large green floral wreaths that were not always circular shaped but shaped like crescents and laid one after the other on banquet tables during Christmas dinners. The dry down is soapy but it's like a very expensive and fragrant longer lasting soap with unisex masculine airs. The amber note and the musk are warm, balsamic, and quite strong giving this scent the longevity it needs to make it a real perfume. The amber is absolutely divine and matches up with the incense/myrrh. This is also musky and clean with a spiritual beauty beyond anything I have come across. I love to wear the Caron fragrances this time of year. They put me in the holiday spirit. If you still haven't experienced Parfum Sacre Nuit de Noel or Une Femme please check them out and you will see how unbelievably beautiful they are and so appropriate for Christmas. One of my absolute favorites. I have many different vintages of the extrait. The very old formula (1920s?) is oily, heavy on oakmoss, and makes my nose itch a little, but not enough to avoid, as it's never induced a migraine--from this or any of the pure perfume formulas of Nuit de Noel, for that matter. I have bottles ranging from the 1920s through more recent iterations, and look forward to finding out if I can tolerate the formula that is being currently planned. I mostly use the more recent versions, which are every bit as thick & lovely. I wear it every winter, in Florida, and have gotten my mother addicted to it as well. It is the perfect Caron perfume; haunting, beautiful, nostalgic and intimate. When I've worn it in my hair, or enough dabs to be noticed while out, others have inquired, and noted the name. It is a vintage perfume lovers dream. Nuit de Noel represents Caron's history, past till present. It is timeless and unique. My favorite time and place to wear it, is to bed. I sleep, wrapped in a lovely fragrance-induced 'coma'. It is a warm Christmas embrace from your favorite great-great-grandmother; in a very good way. It is time-travelling to a snowy winter holiday dinner; long ago and far away, with candles, oranges, pastries, spices, and all the the people who love us most. Other times I feel myself pulled into a midnight mass a hundred years ago, with incense, candles, and all the fragrances of the season. In short, it is everything right with the world. Nuit de Noel extrait is a timeless masterpiece, and I pray the new noses at the house of Caron will retain all it has ever been.

...and suddenly it's Christmas in spring. Nuit de Noël was created in 1922 by Ernest Daltroff for his lover, Félicie Vanpouille, who loved Christmas Eve. Don't be fooled by the name though, as the fragrance evokes so much more than christmas nostalgia. I would even go so far to say that this a must-have for vintage lovers. Not easy to find, I was lucky enough to get this one in a sealed box and bottle, that preserved the beauty of this essence over the decades. It has a generous overdose of real mysore sandalwood, that, in addition to moss, adds a beautiful creamy balsamic touch to the typical Caron spice, mxsks and subtle florals. This has a woody, sensual warm, sort of exotic vibe to it, which makes it a great accessory for a night out or special occasions. Cleopatra's Boudoir found this beautiful reference" ****In his book, The Essence of Perfume by Roja Dove mentioned that " Guy Robert is believed to have said of it "that you could be sitting in a theatre with some of the world's most beautiful women sitting to your left, right, and in front of you, each wearing one of the world's finest perfume creations.... But, if a woman were to enter wearing Nuit de Noel, all the other women would become invisible."*** Notes according to Cleo: • Top notes: jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose absolute • Middle notes: violet leaves, lily of the valley, orris and tuberose • Base notes: civxt, ambergris, mxsk, sandalwood, vetiver and mousse de saxe

I held my breath to purchase a vintage and completely sealed bottle of this classic scent. When I got it around Christmas I was elated - I carefully unpackaged the weathered plastic wrap and looked for the seal and batch numbers. The bottle I own is of Spanish origin - French produced. My best guess is between 1940s - 1960s. The bottle and beautiful box smelled of everything I want to smell like - balanced spicy and musky with a soft sweetness and citrus to it. It took me a few tries to wear it properly without choking on it. It is dense and deep. The drydown on my skin is underwhelming and pats down to a powdery base which I am learning to recognize better. This may be one I need to grow into. It exhibits warmth and charm and refinement, and I feel paradoxical having brunch whilst wearing it. Definitely more for evening wear. I can only hope that what I smell when I dig into my closet to apply this remarkably distinct EDP those around me are smelling the intoxicating spicy soul that so many over the years have also adored. I will grow into this perhaps, but to recognize that it lays on my skin like powder and hymnals in a candlelit vigil is accurate. I'm now onto Spring greens and amassing more mutual staples that blend with my chemistry, but will always keep this timeless romance with me for winter months and myrrh.

I think my bottle is from the 50's but it still has the great deco flask inside the faux-ray box. As a fan of Bellodgia, Nocturnes, & Fleur de Rocailles, I think this was a safe purchase. Update to come regarding the scent!! Update: like many Caron scents, this has subtlety and requires a little patience to fully experience the magic. Don't approach this thinking of pomander balls. What you get is woody, mildly animalic, ylang-spicy, and overall feminine. Any season, but best for silent nights.

Very exciting news! Caron have replied to my enquiry and said that their current perfumer is hoping to reformulate Nuit de Noel, so it’s compliment with current restrictions, but explained that this can be difficult and may take some time. Wonderful news for those of us who were worried they just wanted to produce new modern fragrances. Anyone who has ever tested this will tell you there’s nothing like it. A hauntingly beautiful perfume and timeless.

Does this have aldehydes? Or is it the Ylang Ylang that I am grabbing hold of. In the beginning it's not soft and sweet like I tend to think of Caron. I suppose it does have the spicy Caron carnation in there, and perhaps some cloves. As this dried down I was reminded of how quiet it gets and how quickly too. In only about an hour and half it went from rather strong to a very soft skin scent. Mind you,it's a lovely one, but VERY soft sillage.

For current version. I already have EDT and It's pretty different compared to EDT and Parfum. Parfum is more quiet and deep, open with Amber with Carnation(not in the notes, and disappear quickly) Ylang-Ylang, Moss and Sandalwood are underneath. I don't feel any Jasmine like a EDT. Maybe too quiet for me. Anyway, still nice perfume.

A more green, less sweet, mossier version of Bal a Versailles, with a slight, sharp animalic factor that is certainly colder than Bal a Versailles.
