Poivre Impérial

Poivre Imperial is brilliant and quite unique, at least not mainstream and not boring. Yes, this is mostly pepper, but softened down by rose/lotus, some soft saffron appears too. Interesting combination, very attractive.

I've tried couple of samples of Caron discovery sets and Poivre Imperial is one of my favourites, honestly. It's a softer version of Ganymede, with a ton of light safron like Materiere Premiere Crystal Saffron. I really like it, it's soft enough not to disturb anyone around you but still warm and spicy to give you that little zing in your day. Great stuff

Smells just like a watered down Poivre Sacré, I’m not sure whats new that it adds

It's strange , this one. The first time I had it on, first minutes , up to 1 hour i really hated it but I obsessively sniffed it ( and sneezed a lot!!). Then the dry down was kind of nice. It was intriguing so I tried it next day and then again. Now I still am torn. I don't know if I really like it or not. I smell lots of pepper (I sneeze like crazy -I presume like after the snuff - but weirdly I like it), then a bit of a sweet scent (I have not a clue which note that is) , funnily the dry down is like incense + pepper + vanilla - on me. I don't smell flowers. Quite pleasant, very strange, love and dislike (not hate) relationship. My son smells saffron and pepper only. As I wrote earlier: a strange scent, intriguing. I like it one minute, dislike the other, I am obsessed with it from time to time and then sniff myself constantly or I just sometimes get a whiff of it and I say: "no, definitely not my scent" - can't stop wearing it though. Go figure....

I'm so surprised on reading the latest review of Poivre Impérial, as it's nearly only cashmeran and lotus flower on me, and loads of pepper all along. I find it okay but I wouldn't invest in it: for one thing the bottle is horrible, then there is way too much cashmeran for me. Caron still do great stuff, though, and I much prefer Poivre Sacré.
