Tabac Blanc

I got a sample of this from my mother, who received it with her purchase of her signature Parfum Sacre. I expected it to be rather mature and old-fashioned but ended up completely obsessed. It has a menthol freshness at the beginning - the mate, I suppose - that slowly melds into an intoxicating chocolate mint. Still, this is not a gourmand. The iris note grounds it as a classic and sophisticated perfume; I love wearing this to the office as I feel it projects just the right mix of femininity, power, and restraint. The longevity is excellent, at least 8 hours.Truly an unexpected pleasure! I plan to get a full bottle and it may become my daytime signature. I didn’t want to wear anything else, until my sample ran out. I agree with previous reviews that neither the name nor the ad copy make any sense for this scent.

The ‘reminds me of’ comparison is spot on —Tabac Blanc truly feels like the love child of Iris Ganache and Volutes. It’s less chocolatey than Iris Ganache and less tobacco-heavy than Volutes, with more prominent notes of mate and tea. It hits that sweet spot between an elegant iris fragrance, a fall tobacco perfume, and a casual, everyday scent. It baffles me that no one is talking about this.

Sweet sweet sweet powder. Ultra feminine, it is a powdery and classical sweet floral on a mouthwatering spicy sweet base.. I ordered a travel size but I remembered something else from the store, I am confused a little bit. Maybe that was an other Caron with tabac in its name. Unfortunately I do not enjoy smelling this sweet during hot summer days but I will definitely give it another try as the weather changes.

I love it. The opening has so much iris, those who love Dior Homme would really appreciate. Then the scent develops into a sweet mate/tea with citrus scent and a hint of tobacco. Similar in a sense to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille is a way tobacco is light and sweetened. French chic 100%!

A gentle, cozy, spicy vanilla with plenty of iris. Nothing groundbreaking, but pleasant and very "Paris". This is also a year rounder which is nice for a change. However, I don't sense tobacco in the slightest, or South America as the ad copy suggests..

The perfect perfume! Insanely beautiful packaging, unique persistent aroma, beautiful train! For me, this is a calm summer scent.

Spicy tea with a bit of vanilla. I would have guessed there is cardamom in here but its actually cinnamon based on the notes. First time I liked cinnamon in a fragrance. Reminds me a bit of Golden Dallah by Xerjoff but this is way more wearable and better blended. Classy, unisex but I don't need another cold weather fragrance in my collection at the moment.. Edit: Deep drydown turns really masculine. Holy tobacco!

Very smooth and delicate, like the first warm breeze in spring. There’s an initial burst which is reminiscent of licorice which quickly passes leaving a soft mellow bed of tea and pale flowers and green straw. Quite subtle, I was hoping for a more prominent tobacco and possibly masculine note

I don't think I have ever anticipated a fragrance more than this one. This is the precise aesthetic I aspire to and yet it fell so flat for me. The opening is forgivable, a leather and powdery carnation accord. However the dry down is absolutely abhorrent. It resembles the experience of going into the attic of an abandoned victorian manor house and opening a dusty drawer of handbags that haven't been aired for 60 years. No thank you. I expect better from Caron.

To me this is giving After Eight, or perhaps an iced green mint tea. I do smell a bit of dark chocolate in there, but the overall feel on my skin is very very fresh, almost like an after shave. I like it, not what I usually like but it's different from a lot of fragrances I've tried. It's also giving luxury sports car that's got one of the little air freshner thingy inside. After a while, it develops into something more cosmetic like, almost like the inside of a fancy grown up makeup bag. This iris shines through in the dry down. What a unique find! This is highly addictive... And I love that is develops, it's not linear at all. Very underrated.

I believe the review below made a mistake. @advaitaforever. The leather and carnation powdery accord that this person is talking about are the top notes for TABAC BLOND. Which is also from Caron. This perfume is TABAC BLANC and does not have leather and carnation as a top notes. I'm trying to get my hands on a bottle of Tabac Blanc!

I’m so happy I got this- it is warm, sweet and smooth. The tobacco is not pungent or offensive but it adds a deep, sweet tang which is balanced by the creamy chocolate and iris combo. It is going to be amazing in autumn and winter. It reminds me of my favourite Volutes.

Always interesting to watch people shoot something down before it even comes out. This place is unreliable.
