Tubéreuse Merveilleuse

Oh what beauty this is! A silken white and yellow floral dream! Opens with fresh light ginger and spice with a silky soft heavenly Tuberose that is almost but not quite camphorous, and a Ylang first batch accord that is clean and marvelously heady with no cloying dampness at all. Like being surrounded by a shower of celestial white and yellow flower petals in the warm sunlight. A discreet natural smelling, low sweet understated vanilla supports with no foody facets. A low key resin frames everything gently, never hiding the florals splendor. It is very merveilleuse indeed to my nose on my skin. I love this. No weird cheap banana notes, no camphorous fog, no cloying overdone sweetness. Tenderly sensual like a lover's caress, yet one could fall asleep cradled in this one for the softness of it. Perfect balance for a delicate, celestial, ultra feminine, diaphanously ravishing floral. I will wrap myself in this. Lord it gets more fresh and more naturalistically fleshy and sensual as it dries down, without becoming sweeter or cloying. I love how this melds with skin! Merci beaucoup et Bravo Caron. It's going to sound weird, very weird, but when I will leave this world at my funeral I want to wear this perfume, that all those present may remember me once more: a strong woman with a volcanic character, always dressed in a business suite and who was smiling while punching the table. This perfume is a melancholy memory of a strong woman. It is the shadow of an extremely feminist perfume, the most tender version. Beautiful.

On me the tuberose is of the same variety found in Love Tuberose; a creamy voluptuous white flower. Love is actually a little stronger on the tuberose on me; although this is sweeter, spicier and less creamy. The vanilla and ginger are the strongest notes; but the tuberose is definitely still a headliner. Beautiful, I wish it was easier to find in the US. Although ordering directly from Caron was a lovely experience~
