Yuzu Man

Well I never...I'm not a fan of this house at all but this is a bit of a stunner from Caron. Okay okay 'stunner' might be a bit strong and you might think I'm a little too easily impressed but I really like Yuzu man. I still have plenty of sample juice left for several more wears and this has to be one of the best Yuzu notes I've encountered it's sharp and refreshing and the lemon verbena reminds me of a fizzy lemonade lolly vibe I get from a L'Occitane fragrance the name of which escapes me. Anyway Caron Yuzu man had a definite fresh fig quality too and it creates more of a watery vibe than most aquatics do without even trying. The base is a subtle cedar which compliments the whole composition and adds to the transparent nature of this juice. Yuzu man is thirst quenching almost like you could down the whole bottle and it would be ice cool & hydrate you 400% more than water.(or some other extreme fraction of hyperbole) The only downside to this super simple, almost perfect summer juice is that it performed very poorly longevity wise. I want a citrus that lasts and this doesn't at least on my first two wears. I'm going to persevere with it though and see how I get on but I suspect if it doesn't last when I'm not as active in the cooler months it won't last during activity in the height of summer. Still a great fragrance though...maybe some musk in the base wouldve given it a little more staying power? Who knows? Update: The drydown spices up a touch after that wonderfully juicy opener, I can detect fig and a slightly more herbal quality coming through. The cedar is a nice base but still doesn't last on my skin, it does however last on clothing which isn't really saying much because most fragrance does. Shame because this smells great and is more than meets the eye...or nose.

Peak summer heat is the perfect time for light, dry scents and this is easily the lightest citrus scent in my collection. Yuzu is a wonderful, light-touch citrus note that works very well with other heavier notes to soften them around the edges, but it can carry its own quite well as the primary note in a light and breezey warm weather scent as it does here. The basil and spice are most notable in the opening, then you start to get more of the fig and cedar in the drydown, while the verbena complements the yuzu very well all the way through. This definintely has a much sweeter drydown than opening, but it's very light projection-wise to the point that I doubt you can overapply it. It remains relentlessly pleasant and light. Like most warm-weather scents, it's incredibly versatile, working well formally or casually, day or night. I haven't tested it too much yet to see how much your body warmth enhances projection, but I imagine it would function in that manner similarly to all typical warm-weather citrus scents. I tend to use this more casually since I have some great warm-weather scents with a splash of musk for the evening (Eau Sauvage, 1881), but I would have no problem putting this on for a summer evening out. Caron is quickly becoming one of my favorite makers, and I'm glad their ownership situation seems to be more stable that it had been for so long (which explains all the packaging variations in recent times). I find myself reaching for their bottles more and more - and I just got their original men's scent, and I don't think it's too long before I get my hands on Yatagan.

A fantastic clean, citrus and woods with a soft touch of musk to round it out very nicely. Not bitter or sharp with a slight infusion of sweetness but, it has facets of the aromatics from the likes of Issey Miyake L'Eau PH & Azzaro PH L'Eau. I also get a tinge of Clubman/Pinaud Citrus Musk type vibe, with that lightly sweetened powdery barbershop nuance, it's light but, really done nicely. A very refreshing take for a summer fragrance that has an infusion of both old world & modern/contemporary facets mixed to near perfection. Slightly herbal with green like facets tied in with that crisp yuzu up top that slowly melds into a soft yet masculine woods drydown and as I stated previously, a soft and sweetened skin like musk that screams for one to slap on some flip-flops, linen slacks & an all cotton linen rolled up sleeves shirt with a mojito cocktail in hand. Clean, refined and super comfortable. Tired of the relentless onslaught of blue shower gel offerings or all citrus & marine aquatics that no one can differentiate? Yuzu Man by Caron has a very well done mix of citrus & aromatics to beat the heat in comfort & style. Caron PH Sport can give a bit more classy vibe that will also work just as good as Yuzu Man. Both are well worth having in a man's fragrance collection.

I blind bought and owned Yuzu Man for a couple of years. Thankfully, I purchased the 125ml because I adore this juice. It shines about this time of the year. The opening is dominated by the yuzu citrus that is toned down by the greenness of the basil. The yuzu is more refined than L'Eau D'Issey and other similar fragrances. The most outstanding quality of the fragrance is the transition from one stage to another. The transition is subtle and evolves gradually to the middle. The heart is juicy fruit concoction but again subdued and well mannered. However, the opening notes do linger and fade gradually as the scent moves towards the base notes. The base is woody but a whiff of yuzu pops up every now and then. The sillage and longevity are pretty impressive for a citrus based scent. The scent is clean and fresh, of course, and is well suited for the warm spring and summer days. It can be worn casually but also for upscale summer parties. Yuzu Man can be worn by any age group although it being a Caron, makes it more suited for the mature crowd. BTW, my wife and daughter like it a lot and use it surreptitiously. They believe that I wouldn't notice but I do, hence I bought myself a backup bottle. Hush, hush! 7/10

Farkedilirliği başlarda yüksek ama hem kalıcılık hem fark edilebilirlik açısından denediğim şu kış aylarında biraz vasat kaldı. Genç ve ergen yaşlara gayet uygun. Uzun uzadıya yazacak çok fazla şeyi yok. Sadece kokusunu duyan herkesin beğeneceği ve yaşlı işi olmayan bir parfüm arıyorsanız kalite açısından iyi bir seçim olur. Türkiye şartlarında bulmak ve fiyat biraz sorunlu olsa da güzel bir seçim olur. Yine de aradığınız kaliteden öte kalıcılık ve farkedilirlik ise çok daha ucuza bulabileceğiniz alternatifler oldukça fazla. Don't believe the hate. They are all Aqua Amara soyboys who think CubaKnow is their daddy. This fragrance smells niche. Main thing you'll get YUZU. There are some floral components to it, but the green vibe I get pulls in the manliness. If you're looking for a projector during a hot and humid summer, you're not too bright, and are looking for compliments from people that are ten feet away. Grow up. Be a man.You deserve that headache you're having. This fragrance will get you compliments, but by someone maybe 5 feet away. This fragrance is awesome for the hot and humid Miami summer. The most polite, elegant, classy little sparking aura of citrus and fig. The opening is incredible but dissappears in seconds and it has no projection/sillage to speak of, but I find that for situations like starting a new job, when I'm ill, when I don't want to be obviously wearlng perfume, it's perfect. Sometimes quiet is good.

I went through a decant of this given to me from a friend and really enjoyed it. Citrus with a little bite from the yuzu. Comparisons to royal water are fine but one major difference is the ambergris accord in the Creed which this does not have. Great scent that punches above it's gray market and secondary market price point.

Mr. Grinch - you describe this perfectly. Subtle and gracious. I'd been using "crisp" despite my own issues with it as a weird descriptor for the smell of something, but it's pretty apt here to convey a scent that's dry yet not scratchy, juicy yet not aquatic.

I am wearing Yatagan today, and strangely enough just got my bottle of Yuzu Man. Haven't even opened my bottle yet, but yuzu, fig , pistachio and basil from the tester bottle, to me it smells so airy and warm and summary... I love it.

Yuzu and fig done in a good way, not simply smelling like a fruit. I did not have problems with longevity, at least not with the sample. Bottle arriving tomorrow.

Reminds me of channel allure sport but with softer start and sweeter citrus notes.

The best citric fragrance I have experienced. However, longevity is too short.

Yuzu Man is weird. This is my first Caron and I bought a sample before committing to it, as the scent is now discontinued and prices have started to go up, while I was looking for a yuzu-centric fragrance other than L'Eau d'Issey or Azzaro pour Homme L'Eau, without going full blown niche. The opening of Yuzu Man is, well, yuzu. It's tart, but not sparkling like many other yuzu-forward fragrances, and it is softened by a sweeter citrus-herbal note which makes it powdery, and link it closer to the skin than what I had expected and liked. In a way, though, it is addictive. The tartiness of yuzu gives way to a floral/green undertone after a few minutes and this combo goes into the base and last for the duration of the scent; there is still a clear but faint scent reminiscent of some powdery citrus scent (which may be lentiscus: I'm pretty sure who wrote the notes mistook pistacia lentiscus for pistachio....). The leafy/green side of this accord, vaguely milky, reminds me of the fig leaf rather than the fruit. The drydown is mellow, creamy, with the milky fig green notes mixing up with a faint woody base. I think this is an elegant all-day summer scent, at ease during warmer spring and autumn days too. To me it screams summer in the woods or in the city, rather than on the beach, maybe for the lack of a significant aquatic note, which makes it automatically more elegant than the average summer staple. At the same time, it is weird that a yuzu-named fragrance has not yuzu as its centrepiece and past the initial tart opening, Yuzu Mad fades pretty quickly into a minimalistic green/citrusy scent, which, in a way, is very much Japanese, as yuzu. On my skin this projects softly but decently for an hour or so, last around 5/6 hours before becoming a skin scent surviving a few more hours. The bottle follows the standard hefty Caron design (you can hurt someone with it, it weights a ton), in frosted glass; batch code 402314 (July 2014). I'm gonna use it quite often now that spring is coming to life at this latitude, together with the latest iteration of Dior Homme Sport. All in all, strong like but sample it if you are after strongly yuzu-centered scents, as it may be a bit of a disappointment.

I have a bottle of this fragrance. I like the scent. The first time when I smelt it I found it different. The starting note is a little heavy and remind you of classic and old fragrances. It starts with citrus but the citrus is not the main note. The black fig is more prominent. After half an hour the citrus note will go away and the scent become more herbal and woody. At the end the scent will become so weak but very smooth and pleasing. Personally I like the opening and dry down note. Unfortunately the sillage is not good and projection of the scent is below average. On my skin it remains and projects for around 3 hours max and after that it will become so weak and you cannot feel it unless you put your nose on your arm and sniff. بوش رو دوست دارم. اولین بار که فروشنده بهم پیشنهادش داشت در کنار کلی عطر خنک دیگه تستش کردم و بوی انجیر سیاه و مرکباتش یه دفعه جذبم کرد. روی پوستم هم تستش کردم و خوشم اومد و در آخر خریدمش. اول که اسپری می کنید احساس می کنید بوی عطرهای قدیمی رو میده که پیره مردها استفاده می کنن ولی اجازه بدید چند دقیقه بگذره. بوش اندکی ملایم تر میشه. تا نیم ساعت اول بوی تند مرکبات و انجیر سیاه میده ولی بعد از اون ملایم تر میشه و بوی گل و ترکیبات گیاهی و چوبی بهش اضافه میشه که جالبه. در نهایت که بو خیلی ضعیف میشه یه بوی ملایم و فوق العاده خوبی داره ولی بدیش اینه که دقیقا این بخش بو که به نظرم از هم جذاب تره زمانی خودش رو نشون میده که عطر دیگه هیچ پخش بویی نداره و فقط زمانی که دستتون رو نزدیک بینی کنید می تونید استشمامش کنید. برای استفاده در محیط کار عطر بدی نیست و در کل عطری نیست که برای بقیه مزاحمت ایجاد کنه. پخش بوش هم کمه و بیشتر خودتون می تونید ازش لذت ببرید در کل یه عطر متوسط محسوب میشه و نمیشه گفت نکته برجسته و خاصی داره. اگر بوی مرکبات و انجیر سیاه رو دوست دارید تستش کنید. ارزش یه بار تست کردن رو داره

The name and color would imply otherwise, but the yuzu crop isn't ripe yet. A few have started to get their yellow color, but only flecks around rumpled green skin. A bitter scent lifted from the yuzu branches on a summer breeze filled with distant geraniums and woods from the mountains. I don't get anything fruity from this, more of a green chypre feel. It can't really be called a classic chypre and it's not really a nu-chypre either. I guess this is where its message gets lost. It's stuck between two points in time trying to find its l'equilibre and not doing many favors to fans of either. Still, I enjoy Yuzu Man and at the prices it goes for it's a nice buy for those who like green florals and a blend of perfumery old and new. Longevity is good (try on clothes too) and it has a nice sillage, but isn't by any means loud. It speaks up just enough to remind of its presence now and then. It's also easily unisex and works in any situation. Thumbs up from me. Aside: Despite reading impressions of not feeling like a Caron I sometimes get a "3rd Man lite" vibe from this. It's missing the lavender, cloves, and the white florals are green, but it has the aldehydic yuzu accord and a similar sandalwood base, although more on the dry side than sweet. I sometimes wonder if they could have called this "Eau de 3e Homme" or "3rd Man Cologne".

I love that everyone keeps smelling a phantom pistachio note here, whereas it is the usual Fragrantica carelessness in writing down the pyramid and highly suggestionable reviewers who smell with their eyes rather than the nose. There is no pistachio at all. It's pistacia lentiscus, that someone with little knowledge for scented oil (surreal, for a website devoted to fragrances...) misinterpreted as "pistachio". It. is. not. It's lentiscus (lentisk/mastic). This is the original breakdown from Caron - also, it seems the fragrance is back in production and sale on their website: The energising citrus notes of Japanese yuzu essence, the centrepiece of this composition, are finely balanced by Indian verbena and Indonesian basil to create a zesty freshness. A worldly fragrance, this stunning citrus is rich in juicy notes of fig from Provence and botanical lentisk from Spain. Comforting essences of Australian sandalwood and Spanish cistus strengthen this scent.

Caron is a house like Guerlain that can be considered a niche, since they always started out making only fragrances and beauty products Yuzu Man Caron is a fresh and slightly fruity fragrance far removed from that magnificent 1934 classic which is "pour un homme de Caron" as its name implies, it opens with a burst of yuzu (not as sharp and pungent as in L'eau d issey ) but more green and fresh thanks to the cedar and basil, little by little that green citrus accord calms down and fruity notes of fig begin to emerge, all this fruity freshness rests on a light background of cedar and sandalwood creating a fragrance vibe of classic barbershop with a little modern twist, the components of this fragrance feel quality even so the performance is its weak point as it lasts a short three hours with a medium-low projection, even so it is a very comfortable and good option for the summer and if we need it reapply so we feel constantly fresh.

Its 78 degrees in NOLA, windy and sunny. Perfect conditions for Citrusy foresty. Yuzu is prominent all the way to drydown. Yuzu Man Caron yuzu has more texture than Leau Dissey Homme Intense yuzu. L'ED'IPH Intense yuzu is dry, not fruity sweet or juicy; and the yuzu is dirty from animalic leather tone from saffron, amber, ambergris. YMC yuzu is fresh green, woodsy, forestry, leaves, dirt, twigs like Concentre d'Orange Verte Hermès or Ineke Idyllwild (all ie citrusy forestry combo). Verbena, basil, fig giv the greeness. Fig not sweet here. Fruit note is subtle which in this fragrance is perfect. Fruit note prolly adding to slight sweet sour tart juiciness, fruit too faint for me idk. Maybe fruit add depth? Pistachio add to the dirt twig leaves vibe? Be cognizant this is a lavender dna fragrance; so into dry down i smelled super slight barbershop. Then it dry down to wood. I smell wood from beginning to end.

Fresh and creamy but simple. Very nice summer fragrance, opening with a very realistic citrusy verbena, fig and yuzu note, which dries down to a woody musky base of sandalwood and cedar. Quality-wise, it smells classier and somehow more vintage (I thought this was released back in the 19-hundred and something until I saw the release year on Fragrantica) than the competing scents I've tried containing yuzu, for instance Issey Miyakes summer flankers. At the same time, it is quite subtle and discrete, but with such a great smell I would like to have a more powerful projection. Bottom line: excellent summer scent, shame about the lack of projection and longevity.

Realistic Yuzu, fantastic understated citrus scent. Unfortunately, this has the shortest longevity out of anything I've ever used. It starts as a gentle fragrance and is completely gone in a few hours. Nice for a quick spritz of citrus refreshment, but if you desire longevity-even in a citrus based scent- I can't recommend it. Too bad, as it is a very nice fragrance. Update: I’ve been using 5-6 sprays and spraying on clothes (which I usually don’t do) and get better longevity, but it still is a subdued scent, no matter how many sprays-

A great yuzu opening with some lemony verbena to give the citrus more staying power. Mid notes are fig forward but resolve into a sweet, fruity muddle as the citrus fades away. The base refocuses the fragrance by introducing spice and woods. It is all very nice, particularly in warm weather. At the incredibly low prices at which Yuzu Man is available on the discount websites, this stuff is a bargain and a safe blind buy for folks who like fresh citrus fragrances for the warm months.

Citrus, sharp, fruity, slightly woody and spicy. It's a nice, daytime fragrance. Fresh. Quite heavy sillage for a citrus fragrance, and that's impressive. The opening is almost unisex, the dry down is more masculine, clean but not as heavy as I thought it would be. I guess the basil and lemon verbena keep this composition with a light earthy herbal soul. A good fragrance to wear daily, at work, gym, during the day. Nice, simple, good.

This is a good fresh fruity scent. However, the main note in this isn't Yuzu, but black fig. Is a blast of fruity notes in opening, with huge citric and spices in. When its dry, together with the fruity notes, reveals soft clean musks and woody notes too. Longevity is about 7h and projects close. Good office scent for summer. Edit: this perfume don't stay too close to skin, as I previously mentioned. Has moderate sillage.

recently i`ve spent the whole week in Caron boutique in Dubai as the brand trainee and i found Yuzu Man totally different comparing to its amber-musky ancestors!Really fresh and zestfull yuzu fruit with fig combination...not boring at all!Spraying on the body after taking shower gives you morning chic and enthusiastic feeling!I do like it))))

Yuzu spritzer given depth by lightly creamy pistachio and fig on a clean woody base. And that verbena, wow! Stays with you for the duration of the scent's life, aromatherapeutic, soothing, and refreshing. Lasts around 6 hrs on me, perfection in the heat, so spring & summer only. Lovely Caron offering.

I bought this online as I tried Miyake in the shop but then read better reviews here about Caron Yuzu and decided to buy it due to the cedar combination. I now have my beautiful 125ml smoked frosted glass bottle and love the smell for a morning zing!

Got this from a friend. She said it will smell nice on me and Yeah it did. wonderful scent. fresh and soapy. like a cold shower in the evening.after a hard days work a 8/10 for me....

Sharp and sour, fresh and bitter citrus with a sour, juicy, fruity drydown. It smells fantastic actually, and though it sits very close to the skin it lasts over 9 hours on me.

I tried it today it very light and poor sillage but smells nice ans uniquie as well as not offesive. It weird that some have better projection and longotivity with Yuzu

A bright opening blast of yuzu citrus. Very light & fresh. Fades quickly. A light subtle refresher. Nice to wear fresh out of bed, first thing in the morning.

The king of all skin scents! I can't think of a single fragrance with less sillage or longevity. Perfect for a 15-20 minute pick me up.

I like it. You get this very green scent with strong yuzu note. Pleasant and great for summer days.

I wore Yuzu Man by Caron today and was disappointed. I love the tart, strong yuzu note in L'eau D'issey, Yuzu Man's primary comparison. And I love fig fruit notes - I have nearly a dozen fig-dominant frags. But both are quite weak in Yuzu Man. The performance in general is poor. And without strong tart yuzu and strong sweet milky fig the scent profile is mediocre. I just do not smell how "fruity" should be the third most dominant accord as it is listed here on Fragrantica. Another comparison is Royal Water, which makes sense since L'eau D'issey was my primary comparison to Royal Water. One comment below says that if Creed Royal Water and Neroli Sauvage had a baby it would be Yuzu Man. I can kind of see that, but it's a VERY weak baby. I have and love both L'eau D'issey by Issey Miyake and the brilliant and beautiful Creed Royal Water. Oh well, my bottle of Yuzu Man was only $36 for a 125ml bottle, and it's a yuzu-fig combo (even though I couldn't detect any fig except on card 24 hours into the drydown) which is rare and interesting. My favorite Caron masculine remains Le Tresieme Homme de Caron from the 1980's.

This smells smiliar to l'Eau d'issey with the addition of a little sweetness. Has that fresh tart yuzu note with woods, green notes an a tiny hint sweetness in the background. Has also a kind of aquatic smell, maybe from the fresh yuzu note. Nothing unique to be honest...

I am A Caron fan, but this one is not to my liking. It smells very fresh at first but it is to be short lived as the longevity is poor. The fresh smell is more like a room or car deodorizer, not A mans Cologne. I would Never walk around smelling like this. Issey Miyake Yuza is Much Better, 10X Better in my opinion. No silage to mention, it does dry down to a Very faint hint of Caron Le 3 Homme but so faint you have to really breath in to smell it. I Love Le 3, its my favorite of the Caron mens offerings. My advise is this, Do Not buy this blind sample first! In fact skip this one and buy Caron Le3.

The opening smells very lemony with fresh leaves, and you will not get that Yuzu blast opening like Issey Miyake. The mid is smooth and calming with the fig and pistachio with hints of spices as it transitions into the mid. Calling this Yuzu Man is very misleading because it does not smell like Yuzu, it smells like lemons. You have to spray a lot of it. This can be a good cologne to wear when you're sick because it's light.

This had a beautiful fresh citrusy opening, the weirdness of yuzu distinguishing the fragrance from the generic "fresh citrus". But something went terribly wrong 20 minutes into wearing it and it became intolerably sharp, sour, and stomach-turning. I'll blame my chemistry --- I'm sure this stuff works well on somebody somewhere.

Not fresh or clean at all. A scrubber.

This is one of the worst fragrances I have ever purchased, but that’s what I get for blind buying. I thought I would love it since I love yuzu and I love caron, it just seems like their more recent offerings are not up to caron standards. This smells nothing like yuzu all I get is harsh chemical smells it actually made me sick. I’ll just stick to their classics I guess

Caron is a highly regarded Maison that would hardly make a mistake in creating something proposed, even when this something permeates a proposal which is almost totally averse to the Casa's proposal, that is, complex, fancy and deeply intense perfumes that disturb the whole a nation with few sprinkles whatsoever. Yuzu is a necessary reinterpretation of a portfolio of refreshing perfumes that cool down to the soul, as from its opening, the freshness and accentuated balance it proposes is noticeable. Yuzu's note is screaming, for those unaware of the smell, it is something around the smell of Tangerine but more aromatic and with greenish nuances, you can also smell a dewy raw sap smell that slightly receives a ventilation now or another ! The fragrance evolves and soon becomes greenish with fruity undertones, highlighting the fig note, super discreet, but well married with the master citrus sensation coming from the beginning, there is a very reserved agreement between them and a characteristic of respect for which one likes to feel, each one evolves a little and at the end of the stage everyone ends the apparition happily! The end has slightly burnt woody nuances and you can also feel the soft woody footprint of Sandalwood in the middle, in addition to having the citrus presence of the Yuzu note quite evident, but here referring more to the smell of cut bark. The cool thing is that at the base it has a feeling of cleanliness, refreshment, sunny freshness and at the same time wet; impressively and in a subtle way it raises to the nostrils an odor of living Yuzu that is not common to be found around. Yes, the Yuzu in this fragrance is reminiscent of L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme, but here it is fine, well-behaved and properly balanced with the other notes that adorn the evolution at its side, it is a pleasure to feel it and next time sit your finger in the spray bottle without pity or pity. The two fragrances present "similar" proposals, however with very different performance from each other. In me he fixed 10 h and projected for 5-6 h satisfactorily, in short, I'm happy!

This is like a lighter version of Féraud Homme. And I don’t mean that in the sense that it is diluted or lacks character. Both are very great colognes in and of themselves. Yuzu Man is a very light and bright cologne that eventually sits close to the skin. I did not get very much sweetness out of this at all as I hesitantly anticipated. A unique yuzu cologne that isn’t what you think it will be and maybe for the better. Settles down into a 50/50 split of the top and base notes listed here with a hint of the middle notes. Would go daytime summer or evening for Yuzu Man. Nice and light for hot and humid temps. Doesn’t feel heavy in the heat. Would keep it out of the office setting as it’s a little nuanced and not for anybody. And because it deserves more than the office. Féraud I would go springtime daytime or evening as it doesn’t get lost in cooler temps because of it’s depth. 50s-60s rainy weather type cologne. Don’t buy Yuzu Man thinking you’re getting an Issey flanker or Lagerfeld Yuzu or something like that. Féraud Homme is the closest in my opinion.

I ditto spectrum83. It is amazing how affordable Caron is for the great fragrances they produce. This is a sophisticated summer night. There's the element of bitterness from the yuzu mixed with some sweetish, powderish drydown which is kind of Caron's signature... it reminds me of Lacoste Booster in a more sophisticated way or a relative of Troisomme Caron (if that's the way you write it) Anyways, lovely comfort fragrance. I smelled it for the first time after a rather stressful meeting. I walked out pissed out of my mind and walked the streets of Downtown. I knew I needed a cool it experience. Walked into a fragrance store that has been there for years, smelled yuzu for the first time and my mood became balanced. That, in my book, is the beauty of fragrance. No matter how shitty your day is, there is a blend out there that will take you to your inner place, and peace. Smell great my friends!!! Update- DUH!!! I just realized the lovely sophisticated sweetish smell is the fig... If you dig Bvlgari rouge... this is up your alley too!!!

Imagine Creed's Royal Water and Neroil Sauvage having a baby, Yuzu Man is exactly what that would smell like. If those fragrances are out of your price range, this definitely could be an excellent alternative to either at a fraction of the cost. All while retaining a very similar quality. Be mindful it is a dated style of smell though, just like Royal Water and Neroil Sauvage. It smells like a 90's freshie, no doubt about that. And is heavy on the citronella. But it is impressive how close Yuzu Man comes to nearly perfectly replicating that Creed ambergris drydown style of smell prominently featured in Neroil Sauvage and Royal Water. If you like the mid/drydown of Royal Water/Neroil Sauvage the most, this fragrance will be your dream come true. it doesn't feature the soapiness of Royal Water nor the neroil of Neroil Savage, but the overall smell is akin to both of those fragrances in their mid/drydown stage.

A great casual scent and versatile enough for work also since it's a soft citrusy scent that remains fresh and I'll admit it's not very long lived. Perhaps 3-4 hours tops but that's the sort of fragrance I look for when it comes to work. I do not want to wreak of cologne or not be able to wash it off due to it's strength incase I have to sit in a meeting in a hot board room. Caron truly make some amazing scents and this might not be one of their best but seriously a good fragrance. It's also a scent that can be unisex because of it's opening but it has a quite a manly drydown. Also if you look around Caron scents can be found in Harrods, the high end of the market, for ridiculous prices but also in cheaper online fragrance retailers for no more than £15 or so for 100ml. The quality of Caron scents are top notch. No syntheticness here.

This fragrance is the king of mediocrity. A decent citrus smell with a hint of sandalwood. Add a bit of woods and fruity sweetness and that's basically it. I get why many were disappointed by this. Caron is a legendary fragrance house, but taking that out of the equation, I still understand why this has underwhelmed so many. It just lacks something is all I get from this. It's nice, but something is missing to give it some spark or depth. This is a decent fresh fragrance and can be had for a song online, so it's worth checking out. Just don't expect something that will shake the earth. Longevity is borderline poor. I get 4 hours or so with ok projection, after that it's a skinscent. Rating: 5.5/10
