I got this in a sample with the two other Intenso's of this line. This one is the real typical Italian one of the three. The basil is there in front of you immediately accompanied with the citric note. Fresh and sparkling like Italian culture can be. From the fresh sparkling note it changes to a more herbal note and then ends in a beautiful sophisticated smelling suite like scent. Omg yes i love this very much. It is the more elegant one of those three. Great longevity for me and very stylish. Typical Italian perfume with style.

I got this as a sample with the other two fragrances from this Intenso line and it’s my least favorite of the three. I was expecting more basil to come through (not necessarily like an actual basil plant - see Zara’s Basilicum candle), but even without this aspect, the fragrance itself is nice but forgettable. It also doesn’t last long at all so I do forget that I put it on.

I recently visited Capri and was introduced to Carthusia perfume. They were launching their "Intenso" line. I tried the Basilico and immediately purchased a bottle. After wearing it for a day I realized I HAD to purchase another bottle. As of now (May 2025)it is not easy to find, possibly because it's a new line, but there is a vendor on eBay who carries it. I've been told I smell "delicious." Bring on the yum!!!
