Truly Special. Hidden Gem for a specific Personality. During childhood my parents used to have a lemon balm plant, for the first 2-4 hours (my bottle macerated for more than a year) this smells almost exactly like if u crunched up a leaf of that tree in your hand. borderline photorealistic. Made easy to pull of by Mathilde Laurent via a portion of the Declaration DNA, Cardamom, Citrus and a very nice effervescent Tea note, supplying some "felt" moisture to the figurative crunched-up leaf. i wear it for myself but this is incidentally my most complimented fragrance by women. personally; i have not found a better spring-summer scent in my journey through perfumery yet. Drawback: -turns into classy but rather regular french polite bright woodsy scent at the drydown. - not strong enough to perform through a sport session or a nightout in a packed club all other occasions performance is nicely judged imo. well worth the price at discounters!!

Beautiful opening reminiscent of Bvlgari Eau The Vert which I love dearly. If Bvlgari Eau The Vert is the scent of sitting on a beaten Eames lounge chair in a modernist waiting room flipping through a design magazine you didn’t buy, Declaration Haute Fraicheur is the same waiting room, just with a Cartier logo quietly embossed somewhere on the wall. One smells like green tea steeped in good manners; the other smells like spice that’s been sent to finishing school and told to lower its voice. As many others have already pointed out, the longevity is more of a suggestion than a feature. It opens confidently, flirts for about fifteen minutes, and then ghosts you completely, leaving behind nothing but a vague memory and the uncomfortable urge to reapply out of spite.

Three notes, eh? Three words then: Green Tea Cardamom I love it- so gentle and zen. It has shades of Dunhill Century (bracing greenness) and Shanghai Tang Jade Dragon (spicy tea). If you enjoy those kind of scents, you will love this. If you like sweet, shower gel bleu fragrances, you may not find it suitable. As for me, this is classy and perfect for men who want something different for warm weather. It’s very understated, as it is constructed to be. I don’t think it would work well as a powerful fragrance. It’s meant for situations when a quiet scent bubble is appropriate. Adjust expectations accordingly!

I honestly love this fragrance. I wore it last week and layered the OG Cartier Declaration underneath it. I felt great all day and caught wafts of this more than 8 hours later. In my over 200 bottle collection has become one of my favorites, especially as spring arrives. Picked this up at Charles de Gaulle airport duty free. I enjoy uplifting fragrances that last a long time and smell somewhat unique this checks all of the boxes. One more thing, I have always loved DG Light Blue pour femme...and sought a more masculine version of it to wear myself...this fragrance does that for me as well....

Borderline a masterpiece. Even though a few fragrances have done the green tea theme before (Bvlgari Au The Vert, EA Green Tea, Wulong Cha, to some extent Guerlain Nerolia Vetiver, Mugler Cologne), NONE have paired it with a gorgeous, realistic cardamom. It transforms the scent to something magnificent. This isn’t the fake cardamom you find in La Nuit de L'Homme. It’s the realistic one in Hermes Voyage. And the longevity ratings are blown waaay out of proportion. This performs like an EDT, kind of like an Aqua Allegoria Forte. It is not freaking 4711 like the ratings make it seem...

Context: I work at a Cartier store and have access to this. If you love Declaration EDT and want a fresher, more citrus heavy version, this is a great choice. I love the original but I find it to be quite musky and extremely spicy. This new version tones that down and really emphasizes a bright and fresh zesty orange. I would highly recommend this for spring if you like to give a clean, sophisticated, and want to preserve the 'dressed up but dirty' vibe the original EDT gave off. Would highly recommend giving it a smell and it's a fantastic release going into 2022.

Wow, that's a 10/10 for me! There is a green-like, citrusy, and spicy opening, one of the best I know in designer perfumery. Soon a bitter cardamom becomes the main star. I like this bitterness cause it makes it more masculine — otherwise it would be unisex. For this scent profile, it has great longevity (~6hs) and projection (~1.5h) on my skin. It could be a signature scent, but I see it more as a fancy post-shower fragrance. I immediately bought a full bottle after trying this in a split.

I liked it more than the original, which I found harsh, spicy, loud, and not refreshing. This one is the complete opposite: calm, semi-transparent, clean, and citrusy, especially with the lemon leaf note being very noticeable. Effortlessly elegant. Excellent and distinctive. 9/10

Great fragrance! Fresh, clean and green scent with its lime and green leaves notes. Cedarwood and the hint of Cardamom give a depth and a little touch of sweetness to this juice!! Although it is completely different but the vibe this fragrance offers reminds me of Infusion d’Iris from Prada: A feel good freshness and brightness! Very very green. Great for spring. It's smells exactly the same as 78 Vintage Green of Banana Republic. Which I love. I sprayed them side by side. Opening is slightly different, but after 10 minutes you can't tell them apart. Great green scent. Get 78 VG if you can. That one is cheaper.

To me, it smells like a fresh cut green tea leaves infusion like the Replica Matcha, + the heart of the Declaration. It is very nice, clean and easy to wear. Perfect for spring :) The only little problem is that it doesn’t last very long... it is all gone after 1 hour (on skin)...

Really love this, very refreshing and beautiful scent. The fresh, spicy and green aspects mix very well and the Declaration DNA is clearly there, but more casual and modern. It's kind of light, but I like that. First Cartier I will end up with an empty 100 mL bottle for sure!

A more simpler and greener take on the original Cartier Declaration. Linear scent (not in a bad way) : fresh, green tea with a spicy woody undertone, wonderful for the warmer weather. Very Similar to Banana Republic 78 - Vintage Green.

Beautiful green tea freshie. On my skin, Declaration Haute Fraicheur is almost identical to Hermes Voyage which is one of my favorite perfumes. Very easy to wear. Lasts a long time in temperatures above 60F.

Fresh. Crisp. Simple. Humble. Some might see this as a write off but if you bought it at a discount it is a great crowdpleaser. Even it is not the most complex fragrence, it is still enjoyable.

I am fond of tea-centered fragrances and this one is done pretty well. Ordered a small vial and finished it in just 3 wears. Four days later, my bottle arrived in the mail. Well done, Mathilde.

Smells like a spicer more manly version of Aqua Media by MFK. A Beautiful classy fragrance that can be worn casually and on more serious occasions as well as every season but winter IMO.

Really interesting fragrance. Very aromatic, woody & spicy. Definitely unique and unisex, would recommend to anyone looking for a unusual scent... reminds me of the forest in a way.

Like it but you feel like its weak? Go for H24 Eau de Parfum Green, herbal, super fresh, pleasant and comforting.

Declaration Haute Fraicheur is a citrus, aromatic and spicy fragrance. Its aroma is very pleasant, it smells of citrus, like a kind of lemon and green notes, along with a second note that gives more force to those citrus fruits and that is cardamom. Cardamom has been one of the characteristic notes of the Declaration line, and in its original version it is quite noticeable. I would say that this Fraicheur version, in addition to being a fresh version of the original, is also cleaner, removes some spices like cumin, which gave some people an aroma like body odor. Haute Fraicheur is a simpler fragrance than the original, since it does not have the twists or the development that the original fragrance has, in fact its aroma is almost linear, only after a couple of hours is a light base of cedar wood received. This new version of Declaration is a fragrance for daytime use, on warm days, spring or summer, as well as providing a relaxing character. In terms of performance, it is not the best after the first half hour it downs near to the skin, and it stayed there for a maximum of 6 hours, which is a shame, because the aroma itself is very pleasant, but to maintain it more time will have to reapply. My final conclusion is that to buy it, it is better that you try it first, and assess it for yourselves.

Drydown for me smells a bit too much like actual green vegetables. The pleasant smelling vegetable section of a super market, citrus sprinkled on all those greens. As fresh as it is, don't think it might be to everyone's taste. Can get something like hints at the Declaration DNA, even if no prominent cummin here. But don't agree with some other alleged similarities mentioned in previous comments though. For me not at all that close to Mugler Cologne which is clearly soapy, and in spite of its greenness, not "vegetable-like" at all. This cartier is not soapy at all to me, and is also not as clean and safe/inoffensive/universally wearable as the Mugler. Also don't find it close to Banana Republic Vintage Green, which although sharp green, to me does not have any actual supermarket green vegetable vibe. Don't mean to say I like Vintage Green more, because I find the greeness in that one quite too sharp. Only far drydowns of these three fragrances do resemble a bit one another, but you won't confuse any for the other. Even their far drydowns still preserve these differences which I think are not really subtle. At this point in time the BR Vintage Green for me is an Ok, this Cartier is a Like, Mugler Cologne is a Love and one of my favorite fresh fragrances.

I just got this in the mail today. Having smelled it about a month and a half ago at Nordstrom's, I decided to check discounters for a better price and managed to find it for around $50, not including shipped and when that was added it was only $60. So, good deal in my opinion and I pulled the trigger. Will give it a full wear tomorrow, but I did spray it on my wrist. I don't get a ton of lemon. I do get a citrus vibe, like being in my backyard with the citrus trees. There is something somewhat reminiscent of L;eau d'Issey Pour Homme Vetiver in my opinion. Not that they smell the same but they have that same sort of feel. There is something light and airy, but cooling in this fragrance that is really calm and relaxing and I'm kind of liking this. I think that it'll do well in the high heat and am wanting to test it out in that regard. I don't expect a beast mode. I think this is more a day out and about or an easy reach to go to the gym that won't intrude on everyone else but still smell clean and fresh without being BLUE.

This eau de toilette is a wonderful option for hot summer days. It is not a groundbreaking scent but that’s fine, this is a flanker. The opening is pure herbs and citruses. I feel some green tea note that’s very appealing and refreshing. The base is woody but still fresh and adorable. I can picture a walk along a French countryside road in a summer day. Forest trees, herbs and mosses greet you and fill your senses with joy and peace. This is an almost ethereal scent, very short lived but beautiful. It reminds me of Eau Parfumée au The Vert by Bvlgari mixed with Declaration d’un Soir. Despite it’s poor longevity I chose Haute Fraicheur as one of my favorites for those hot days, specially because it’s something different than those aquatic options everyone else wear. A very pleasant discovery very carefree but chic and elegant as something made by Cartier.

On me, this is a slightly spicier "Wulong Cha". A bit more green (not as citrusy, but still citrusy) and i get the smallest hint of mint in the background. I don't really get much of a wood note on me. It's a cheaper alternative to Wulong Cha, that doesn't have the projection or longevity of Wulong Cha. I'm not a longevity and projection fanatic. I love the scent, but even i need better performance to call this a great fragrance. I get weak to moderate longevity, about 2-4 hours. I'd probably rather pay up for Wulong Cha and get the higher quality and performance. But for something like the gym, this is excellent. You won't choke anyone out and you'll smell fresh and attractive to anyone who gets close.

Yup, this is like a masculine version of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. It's soft and gentle and fresh, citrusy green with the cardamom note adding a tad of spice. I don't normally like cardamom and that's my issue with the rest of this line, but here it's in a very tolerable dose; this fragrance truly lives up to its "fraiche" moniker in that it has the character of the original with a freshened-up note pyramid. It smells great! Unfortunately, the performance is abysmal. I don't expect a green tea fragrance to last all day but c'mon now. If it lasted even 4-5 hours I might have bought a full bottle...

Smelled on a paper strip at Nordstrom: I like it! Pleasing green notes on the Declaration base. So I got a sample. (I love that Nordstrom gives away little sprayer bottles for samples.) I'll try it on skin for a day's wearing. -------------- Skin wearing: It reminds me very much of Penhaligon's Blemheim Bouquet. Same vibe. The initial citrus leaf note is wonderful - very zingy. The drydown results in the usual Declartion base, as I noticed on a paper strip. As was reported here, longevity is tragic. Not a lot of value for money. A pity. C'mon, perfume houses! Make stuff that lasts!

Nice and pleasant citrus and green forward fragrance, similar to voyage and fragrances like nio but not as dry and more floral. I get around slightly below average to average longevity, give or take 5-6 hours or so with the last 3 hours a close skin scent. If you really like this profile I would suggest saving up a little more and buying nio, but otherwise this is a solid fragrance and in my experience not as bad in longevity as others are saying, it just works like an average freshie performance wise.

The shop gave me a sample at the time, a strange thing is that green perfumes never interest me, and yet very often they give me good feelings, and this one is no exception, a natural feeling of freshness, impossible not to be in a better mood with it. After this perfume is perhaps a little too simple, and especially with ultra poor performance, to justify a purchase. But the feeling is really good. I should be a little more interested in green scents.

Beautiful smell with poor performance. Edc style. Not the only one. A few really good frags in this price range that smell wonderful but don't perform. If you like this one because the cumin is cut back then I would suggest Bleu Noir edp. It smells similar and performs better. Unlike with the edt of Bleu Noir with poor performance compared to declaration edt. I like regular declaration edt much more than this one. That one's a true gem.

Wonderful spring/summer fragrance! It has a wonderful green, fresh smell to it that reminds me of citrus and fresh cut grass. The biggest issue I have with this is, for me, the scent barely lasts 3hrs until I can't smell it anymore. It is such a tease! This could so easily be a signature spring fragrance for me, but I'll have to reapply it at least 4 times a day! I highly recommend you at least test this.

First impression: I liked this. I thought the citrus was well done and although it's not a massively complex scent, I think Cartier is playing their cards close to their vests because there's definitely more in this than they are saying. Scanning the reviews some are mentioning green tea which I didn't get. I compared this to Hermès Eau Givrée and I liked this more.

Here Cartier gives us a very nice refreshing scent based on citrus leaf and the all familiar cedar and cardamom combination. It didn't have much strength on my skin but I tried this on a cold wintery day. I'm pretty sure it makes a very good option for summer. I enjoy the scent that it projects!

Definitely get the Green Tea, Wulong Cha and Sur La Nil associations. If you're looking to replace one of those, get a sample. If you've smelled this and you want a niche version, look at Nishane and Hermès. If you're looking for something cheaper in the same ballpark, just get Green Tea.

something about this brings me comfort. It feels like: sitting under a lemon tree during a summer day, with a cup of aromatic tea at hand. great fragrance considering it’s price, as well. anyways, back to the modern ambroxan bombs 😭

Fresh, polite, green... Déclaration with citrus leaf accord. Has almost a green tea effect. Good but for a first impression, nothing worth buying. I'll give it another try but the OG, Essence and Parfum are still the best.

Very similar to Declaration L’eau but the cedar note is not as prominent here. It’s a nice freshie but if you already have L’eau, there’s really no need for this one.

Nice clean and green. The problem is I just sprayed it 10 minutes ago and it's hard to smell. There is no projection. I assume the longevity is not good.

Really an excellent fragrance. To me, the combination of cardamom and citrus just works well. This one reminds me a lot of Voyage from Hermes. 8.5/10

For context, I have used the original Declaration for 10+ years and own all of the flankers. I picked up a couple of samples from Nordstrom this afternoon and wanted to leave my initial impressions. This one is so generic and so uninspired I'm glad they told me it was Declaration, because from smell alone I couldn't tell. It's the epitome of a neutral boring citrus scent with none of the personality that made Declaration the keystone scent that it is. I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of this one is, other than to replace the more inspired previous summer flankers L'Eau and Cologne. Further, to add insult to injury longevity is <2 hours and sillage is also abysmal. I *almost* bought this blind at full retail and I'm thankful I didn't. A resounding 'pass'.

★★★ I love Cartier for their originality and quality. Declaration is a masterpiece. Haute Fraicheur is a bit of a let down for me as it smells like Elizabeth Arden's green tea. Don't get me wrong, I really like that fragrance. It's affordable, simple, very pleasant to wear, but since we're talking about Cartier -especially a flanker of Declaration- I was expecting something more complex and original. If you like this, try Elizabeth Arden's green tea, or CK One summer 2021! They cost less but smell extremely similar. Haute Fraicheur has great longevity but limited sillage.

Another Cartier oddball that finds itself stuck in the wrong era, a spinoff of the original that tries to redeem itself by tuning up the moss, citrus and let the spices slowly creep up to you at some point. Now it's a greener (still inedible) aromatic gourmand. Classic but lacks elegance. I don't hate it but it's really an acquired taste. 5.8/10 Edit: it's a slightly cleaner/fresher/mossier tweak of the OG by its own right but nothing redeemable in quality or to write home about

I really love how it smells but its longevity is so disappointing. Luckily I got it on sale, I really wouldn't recommend this at its full price :( It's wonderfully woody and spicy but I swear the smell disappears after like 40 minutes. I expected so much more from Cartier, it doesn't even linger on my clothes much. I know they're always stronger but the tester really fooled me this time around :(

This smells fantastic, but is tremendously weak and lasts about 2 hours. I never complain about performance when it comes to freshies, but this one is pretty brutal. Luckily, I have Guerlain Herbest Troublantes which is a superior version of this profile that lasts 7 hours on my skin. 7 out of 10, but only for the scent itself. Overall, it's like 5/10
