Eau de Cartier Eau de Parfum

Simple. Gorgeous. For Eau De Cartier EDP, I’m writing a review during my third wearing. I don’t understand how someone could not pick up the vanilla or violet leaf, as it’s so strong upon application that it makes me think maybe they got a bad sample (mine is from the manufacturer). Drydown begins within the first hour, turning to musk and balsam, I don’t pick up patchouli in this composition. I can imagine wearing this anytime and anywhere, it makes me feel good, like I’m being injected with endorphins. I’m crazy for it.....even though I wish it performed better. I get about 2 hours before it turns to a skin scent. I can find this for a great deal on line, so I’m pulling the trigger. I have a lot of perfume and I’m trying to be selective about what I add to my collection. Buying Eau De Cartier EDP means I’m enthusiastically endorsing it. Edit: this is my bedtime fragrance, not much projection so it’s perfect. Just makes me feel good, I love it. Edit: back again on 01-09-22 I’m getting pretty good performance with this scent. I sprayed about 6 hours ago and it’s lightly projecting. I forgot how much I love this Cartier. A very unique take on a green vanilla. Still love it.

If you like vanilla you will be very impressed with this. The performance numbers are a little all over the place on here and I was a little confused at first too. This has average projection. But the smell itself gives the impression that it will be beastly, as it the case with vanilla heavy fragrances like Eros and Le Male. even the juice itself looks a bit darker, it's a shame this isn't beastly but I'm sure some people might prefer that even if I don't. It's elegant, not too sweet and an excellent scent for the office/ winter occasions. My favorite Cartier out there.

I received a deluxe sample of this. I was really excited to try it, because when I saw the notes on here, it seemed like it would be a winner to me. The vanilla is a nice touch. It is still similar to the original Eau De Cartier EDT, just a bit sweeter with the vanilla, and a touch spicier. It still has the DNA of EDC. I think this is just a new concentration, I don't believe it is replacing the original.

First of all, Yes, it does smell a lot like EdC EdT original, but It’s better, much better. And once the inicial phase is past, What you have is something very similar to Dior Bois d’Argent. Nothing more nothing less.

* Eau de Cartier EdP: Glad I didn’t pay too much for my bottle! Eau de Cartier EdP is a bit of a disappointment; the “Eau de Parfum” is a big throw-off for me, given the hugely understated nature of this one (compared to the original and the concentree versions). I do detect the classic peppery-tangy notes of the original Eau de Cartier, which then transitions into a sweet and musky unisex foundation (via the vanilla, balsam, and amber notes). But the sillage for EdC EdP is atrocious: It’s barely feels like a skin scent, and I have to sniff like crazy to even detect that it’s on! (This was slightly improved by a heavy re-application hours later, as well as my doing some spring cleaning...the scent suddenly magnified!). If I were to make this otherwise interesting retake of the original Eau de Cartier a regular scent, I’d probably go through the bottle pretty quick with all the re-application refresher spritzes I’d end up doing! Feel sorry for anyone who pays the usual sky-high price for a 3.3oz bottle of Eau de Cartier EdP. Hmph. Overall: 2, Longevity: 3, Sillage: 2

I've struggled with this one. Initially, I felt like I got a bad or even faked bottle of Eau de Cartier EdP, as it has a very light projection and feels as if it's holding back (or that there isn't anything there). In frustration, I'd spray a heavy second layer, which seems to improve the sillage moderately. I detect the violet and vanilla, as well as the sharp citrus which shows it has the original Eau de Cartier's dna in there. But I expected a thicker, more beastly potion than what I ended up with. In the end, I do like the straight musky-amber vibe that it dries down into. And this seems to last a long time, too. Overall, Eau de Cartier EdP doesn't operate altogether unlike EDP versions of other fragrances compared to the EdT's: Richer, more reserved, longer lasting. Still, being a big fan of the original EdC and the Concentree versions, I had hoped for a more extreme performance.

A very elegant. Feels light at first later a whole class is coming out... its like diamond... you discover .. when it blinks...but when it blinks...you are admire it.

I cannot smell this for some reason it’s barely a skin scent and I sprayed this from a legitimate sample vial given to me by the Cartier SA at Saks. This is incredibly soft, I smelled amber and vanilla in the opening with a little bit of floral and now I can barely smell anything. I get a tiny bit of powdery Amber and soft vanilla but can barely smell anything else. You need to go heavy handed on this one because...damn

Cartier has had its share of hits and misses, and this one is a miss for me. It reminds me of medicinal cough syrup.

Oh, Eau de Cartier eau de parfum, it smells exquisite on paper, even orgasmic, but on my skin the note of violet leaf leaves a slightly earthy aroma that I quite dislike, pity. This is a very elegant scent, highest quality, fresh, sweet, pleasant and elegant, all in one. It has a moderate sillage and longevity.

I barely can smell it (I do not smoke LOL) Very subtle. Feels like applying water. Tried at Macy's. Not bad, just not for my nose. I am nose-blind to this scent. Definitely not a power house. Good for summer.

A sweeter, richer spin on the core fragrance of the original. Not the strongest projecting scent, but this has a use for those with sensitive noses.

I wonder how it's possible to vote for a perfume that will be on market in January 2016....
