La Panthere Extrait

Really tempted to call it the best designer fragrance of modern times. It has a very classy, sophisticated, intense and gourgeous base that is so often lacking in all modern compositions. They may smell great for a while but then fail miserably due to thin base stripped by recent regulations. This however is pushing hard with a solid, intense and very complex base. Pure elegance and hyper feminine character makes it so addictive for a man to wear. Yes! It is masculine at the base but this gorgeous Gardenia just screams femininity. Peachy touch perfectly blended with osmantus. Then this grand flower grows glowing like a sun in a desert. Creamy, powdery, so delicious and so French in its style. Base is perfectly blended. It is Woody, Resinous, Musky and Mossy all at once like a solid block, like a wild warrior standing still holding those soothing flowers. No more words really... nose is glued to the wrist.

I have EDP which I literally adore ... This is everything that's wrong with EDP , if it did anything wrong ... Only when you compare EDP and Extrait , you realize how something perfect can be improved further ... I wont talk about notes , because everything is known from EDP ... but ... If you can imagine a variant of Edp doubled, with all notes containing ... everything that Edp has , Extrait got intensified and rounded off in full , elegant , exclusive, soft and rich , rich smell ... Longevity is great, aura is like any other strong Extrait , which comes without the spray variants ... intimacy sprinkled with luxurious , rich smell that you just can not stop inhaling ... From EDP's throw out a little moss and add lots and lots of luxury and density , add the right perfume mark and you will be relatively close to Extrait , and to literally experience and enjoy it , you must try it ... Love story ...

I just received my bottle! I opened it and it smells SO FANTASTIC! I was worried because I recently smelled the new eau de toilette version and that reminded me of baby diapers, lol. This does have more in common with the legere, which I am thankful for. I prefer the legere over the eau de parfum. This is still even more refined than any other variation. I can smell each note clearly, yet it is very well blended. A true modern classic

My bottle is on its way! Today is the hottest day of the year, 107 degrees! and the delivery tracking says its out for delivery. Do you think the extrait will be damaged sitting on a truck all day in 107 degree heat? Just kind of concerned it will affect the fragrance.

I find this to be an amazingly smooth and elegant scent. In La Panthere's extrait version the florals are toned down quite a bit and the musk amplified, to stunning effect. This is not a clean musk, nor even an animalic one; it is just an incredibly smooth, warm glow of a musk, very slightly animalic, imparting a sweet warmth to the scent. The creaminess, the floral and fruit notes of the EDP are present but muted, and complement beautifully the sweet aspect of the musk. The whole composition feels very harmoniously blended, to the point where I find it difficult to imagine the EDP came before, as the extrait seems so perfectly put together. When I wore this, there was a unanimous "Mmmmm!" around my household, so although it is a rather quiet scent to me (unlike the EDP), it seems the scent projects enough to be smelled by others. Very lovely. One of the best modern floral musks on the market.

Lovely. The bottle is indeed a touche oreille (cut glass stopper, very well executed). Not very practical, in my opinion (I like to keep my perfumes clean, so I put some of the perfume in a small vaporizer), but very classy. The scent is classy too. It is as if Cartier took the Original edp, and distilled it into two fractions: one half (the more flowery side) became the legère-version, and the other (more animalic side) the extrait. Animalic in a well behaved manner, it doesn't make you smell like a badger in heat, but it is grown up, and very different from all those lollipop perfumes that are all the rage. If I want to eat, I open the fridge, not my bathroom-closet. Performance is beautiful. It is quiet, but still fills the room. If most perfumes are Bette Midler, this is Audrey Hepburn (classy, quiet, but impossible not to notice). By the way, I love work of both ladies, so I used the names only to illustrate the character of the perfume... If you love the Original edp, and you feel like spoiling yourself, go buy this Little gem.

J'ai trop hâte de découvrir l'extrait de ce magnifique parfum dont j'adore l'eau de parfum. Surtout que les extraits sont rarissismes de nos jours. Seulement quelques maisons en produisent encore comme Chanel, Caron. J'attends impatiemment cet extrait ''moderne''. J'aime très rarement les parfums mainstream contemporains. Je préfère les vintages et les niches. Comme celui-ci a été créé par la talentueuse Mathilde Laurent, il demeure l'exception à la règle. Vivement le moment suprême où je déboucherai le précieux flacon.

I get tired of spray bottles that all seem to be square these days; So to me this type of bottle is to be praised. All of us had them back in the day and no one referred to their cologne as dirty or dirtied by touch If that were so terribly true, there would be no holy water in Catholic Churches. So, perfume by touch still remains a holy ritual to me. I welcome it, and of course, the perfume speaks for itself. It is well blended, now, I look forward to something pretty on my vAnity.
