A masterpiece ! I prefer the edt to the edp or extrait. It's still a rich, well blended fragrance that lasts for hours and has excellent sillage. The edt was discontinued early on, so if you look for the edt you are getting the original formula juice.

This is a completely independent version of the Dragon’s Kiss family scents, and not surprisingly so many people confuse it with the EDP version, with which this fragrance has practically nothing in common. Couple of years ago EDP version almost disappeared from sales for some time, and recently it appeared again, but in two versions – EDP and EDT. Of course, as many others, I wanted to get EDP, but mistakenly bought this one as the design of these two versions almost identical, and it confuses. So, what do we have here? The scent itself is not bad, but it is NOT the Dragon’s Kiss that can be smelled in EDP. It’s a dry, very discreet, no sweetness, brut chypre. Lightweight, transparent and airy. In the initial notes in first 5 minutes you can smell an echo of EDP, but in fact, this is the moment where all the similarities of these two are ending up. This is like a "cut-off" version of Dragon’s Kiss, which is fair enough if you'll look into the pyramid. There are probably only 2% of notes that can be found and smelled in EDP. Here are – citruses in tops give lightness and transparency, powdery iris in the heart, and dried under the sun vetiver as a base note. I don't feel any abstract oriental notes, but iris and jasmine which I wish to have more, but somehow it's too modest, sitting nailed with vetiver in the shade of loud bergamot. The most controversial thing about this fragrance – I don’t know what weather it fits for. In winter it’s too light and volatile, it lacks density and base. In summer – it doesn’t last long and doesn’t have so much opening. In spring and autumn – well, it's like just a scent and aroma, without any "Wow!" effect. Surprisingly, I expected something completely different from Cartier, especially knowing Dragon’s Kiss in EDP. In fact, it was just a great disappointment. Despite my attempts to make friendship with it. Seems like Cartier tried to "rejuvenate" the legend and make it more modern, wearable, everyday version, but these attempts turned out to be a complete fiasco. My advice to those who will buy this version of Dragon’s Kiss – to pay attention and check is it EDP or EDT before buying, since the difference between these two just huge. Believe me! I still keep this bottle for myself and think that there is hardly anyone who would want to buy it, especially if the goal is to get scent known as EDP – with a hint of almond amaretto and sweet flowers. But this one just a pale shadow of former luxury.

Cartier Dragon EDT is a much lighter weight version, with little smoke and no thick amaretto. This version is very woody, airy, and easy to wear in summer heat. It has a light touch of almond, and is totally unisex. Projection and longevity are moderate. I much prefer the original formula EDP for autumn and winter. This EDT is great for spring and summer. EDT can be worn easily all year long, actually. Both EDP and EDT are unisex.

Almonds and amaretto, a little bit linear, though. Again, a feminine oriental that can be worn by men if applied lightly. As a matter of fact, I have the feeling this one plays along the lines of niche scents that are "genderless", this from what I've smelt by Lutens, Goutal and Fueguia.
