A very risky blind buy for me,I love almond and amaretto but I often can't get along well with patchouli and vetiver..I've imagined a dragon's kiss very spicy,burning,hot,loud,heady,harsh,very unique Cartier can use wierd ingredients artistically,as in cartier LA panther we see..cartier le baiser du dragon is one of rare woodsy scents,patch and vetiver dominant,that I don't hate,but I don't love it either I can't describe it note by note..all I get is some dark,spicy woodsy notes(vetiver and patch),dark chocolate and a boozy note, other notes must be very wellblended, unfortunately I can't pickup any almond or caramel I was looking for a very unique,sexy and edgy adult gourmand.it definitely IS unique and edgy and adult but it's not that sexy or gourmand well actually it has some sort of deliciousness, it's delicious in a mature,dark, mysterious,bittersweet way,boozy,rich and luscious..I agree it can pass as unisex easily,it has a very noticeable masculine vibe I like how boozy amaretto and dark,bittersweet caramelized chocolate melt in spicy patchouli and vetiver,it's warm and rounded,signature scent worthy and a real masterpiece..I adore Alberto morillas But what makes me be on the fence about it is that it becomes more and more woodsy.all it's intresting notes and it's unique deliciousness fades away and was is left is just a dry, totally masculine scent of vetiver and powder.this dose of woodyness is almost intolerable for me, it's the exact same thing that happens with the lovely, vintage Lanvin Arpege,I love it's opening but it dries down to suffocating,warm,bland scent of woods.but I have to give Dragon more time as I love it's first phase and I love my 1.7oz bottle My bottle is made in first years of it's launch,so if there was a reformulation,I have the prereformulation version,this one is almost long-lasting with a great sillage ب امید به عطر شیرین و خوراکی طور کاراملی-بادومی کارتیه دراگون رو نگیرید،البته یجور خوشمزگی خاص،بالغ،جذاب،مرموز و تیره داره اما خوشمزگیش در حد خوشمزگی شنل کرومندله شکلات تلخ و رایحه گرم و عمیق و بادومی مشروب آمارتو،تو تیرگی تلخ پچولی اسپایسی و نت های چوبی حل شدن،امبر و بنزوئین بخوبی لبه های تیز عطر رو نرم و گرد کردن و بستری گرم و بالمی ایجاد کردن.با یه عطر کاملا یونیسکس طرفیم،حتی بیشتر متمایل به مردانگی بااینکه با انتظاراتم کاملا فرق داشت و اون گورمندی مدنظرم رو نداشت،تحت تأثیر رایحه خاص و عمیق و پیچیده ش قرار گرفتم اما متأسفانه با گذشت زمان همون یه ذره شیرینی هم محو میشه و تنها چیزی که باقی میمونه وتیوره و کمی پودر،این رایحه یکنواخت و گرم چوبی واسه من غیرقابل تحمل و خفه کننده ست و حتی ذره ای زنانگی ندارن.امیدوارم یجوری بتونم با درای داونش کنار بیام چون یکی دو ساعت اول عمر کارتیه دراگون شاهکاره

Wow, Baiser du Dragon is a complicated beauty. I bought this to console myself after I traded away my bottle of Baiser Vole, which I loved but couldn't keep because it reminded me too much of my ex. I'm still getting to know this dragon--I've never smelled anything like this before. The strong bitter almond was a little confusing to me at first. It softened over the space of a couple of hours, and mellowed into a sweeter almond. I'm also getting a ton of rose, which I wasn't expecting. Rose isn't always great on me, but I really like it in this combination. As it continues to evolve, I'm also getting the vetiver more and more. After reading reviews I thought this would have big projection, but it actually seems pretty intimate. I was kind of worried that this would be too opulent to wear to work, since I don't have many occasions to wear showstoppers. I think this is perfect for work, though, especially once the bitterness fades and the florals and greens start to emerge. This is nowhere near as spicy as I thought it would be, and much softer and prettier. It seems like this is a fragrance that's really different on different bodies. Now that I've had it on for a few hours, I'm excited to see where it goes next. Really a fascinating fragrance. Update after a few weeks of owning/wearing this masterpiece: this is the only fragrance that has ever actually woken me up in the night with its beauty. I wore it to bed and woke up in the middle of the night just absolutely feeling like I was in heaven. Also, this is the only fragrance I have ever bought a backup bottle of. I noticed that it's not on the Cartier website anymore, and I'm worried that it has been discontinued.

I just purchased this again after not having a bottle for nearly eight years. I had forgotten what it actually smelled like, but I remembered liking it, and I think I know why. On my skin, it's warm without being sweet. I love dry woody and chypre fragrances. Most days of the week, I just wear Patchouli or Vetiver essential oil. When I branch out from smelling like earth (especially during the fall and winter), I like to go woody oriental... but sometimes these kinds of fragrances can be just a bit too sweet for my tastes. With this fragrance, I get a distinct sharpness in the beginning. It's green (definitely Vetiver-y) and a little bitter- not sour, just bitter... like cacao powder almost. As others have observed, it's "loud." But not like "takes up the whole room" loud... more like, "I wasn't expecting that" loud. After a few minutes, it starts to mellow into a hazy, slightly boozy, resinous cloud, behind which a certain sharp, spiciness remains. Every now and again, I definitely get the iris, but I don't really smell too many other flowers... well, maybe neroli if I put my nose right against my skin. Regardless, it's really beautiful. I can't say that it smells like too many other things I wear or have worn... though I would definitely say that it feels (though certainly doesn't smell) very much like some other fragrances that came out in the early aughts... I keep it next to Mugler Alien and Kenzo Flower Le Parfum. In terms of sillage, I give it a 5-6/10. For longevity, I would rate it at about 8-9/10 (it lasts but gets closer to the skin as time goes by). I think it's perfect for Fall! May I never allow eight years to go by between bottles again!

I forgot how much I love this. I got my bottle some 2-3 years ago and for as crazy as it might seem, I always preferred wearing it in warmer weather. Two sprays on the neck last all day and project just right, without being heavy at all. I find it to be heavier and stronger in winter and almost airy when it’s warmer... It might be skin chemistry or it might be my obnoxious persona. Who knows?! Either way, I’m sure it suits me well. It’s a seductive, grown up scent. It has that remarkable Cartier quality and that’s no surprise considering it’s also one of Mr Morillas’ creations. It starts a little bitter, with the amaretto note being the most prominent, and although you can feel the floral notes from the very beginning, they feel greener and not sweet/ jammy. I can feel a beautiful gardenia note, one of my favorite flowers, but it is not the gardenia you’d find in La Panthere, another masterpiece from the house of Cartier, but rather a laid back gardenia, in a supporting role - mixed beautifully and “rounding” some of the more prominent woody and earthy notes. After the louder beginning, it soon settles into a slightly boozy, mysterious oriental - you feel woods, almonds, amber and... finally some delicate gourmand touches, specially up close and not so much in the air. The best thing about it - and also the reason I think it is a grown up scent - the sweetness is really toned down, setting it apart from the banality of nowadays designer offerings. Extremely unique, sultry scent, well worth its price. Thank you Alberto Morillas and Cartier for this masterpiece!

Boozy, sexy, bitter, herbal, floral, smoky amaretto. Who decided that a Dragon's Kiss would taste of almonds? I don't know, but I'd like to kiss *them*. To me, this is the kiss of the luck dragon: all beauty, with nothing offputting whatsoever. A totally unique and utterly underappreciated fragrance. If you have ever smelled a bottle of Amaretto di Saronno and thought "my god, I would wear this as a perfume," well, your wish has been answered. That being said, this perfume is not that sweet; not sugary at all. It has a bitter, woody, herbal undertone -cedar and patchouli, mostly, probably vetiver but I'm rubbish at spotting that note. Very heady alcohol overtones; it almost smells like you could burst into flame if you drift too close to a candle. I also get a lot of exotic florals: a blast of jasmine and gardenia that lingers and plays. The warm musk center that develops is to die for, and the almost edible almond-benzoin-caramel-chocolate dry-down is deeply sensual. Or, as my husband says with such eloquence, "Mm, you smell like Waffle Haus." I agree that you do have to overspray to get the longevity. I recommend getting some on your clothes. Prepare to walk about in a cloud for a little while. It will seem like too much, but if you're not brave, you won't get the full effect and it will vanish, leaving you hungry for more. Ravenous, in fact. And you'll go back for it again, and again, it is that addictive.

This had amazing impact before I even smelled the first spray of misty cedar and almond nectar that awaited. The bottle is, in a word, stunning! The heavy circular glass is naturally clasped by the hand, like grasping an ancient amulet. Even the spray tube looks absolutely intentional. The first spray is released as a soft mist, encircling you without noticeably wetting the skin. This is also purposeful design, for the perfume itself is enormous and eternal! Be gentle with this dragon, until you can fully expect how strong a kiss it possesses. The notes that seem to dominate the opening are almond, amber, and Benzoin, reminiscent of Amber Gold, and a touch of Exotic Essence. At first, I shrugged slightly. But then it happened. The heart moved in, taking turns with the base notes, and setting forth an amazing, powdery soft dry down. Its simply fantastic! It feels cozy and comforting, without any one chord dominating. Instead, and I know this sounds contradictory, for all its strength, the dry down shows deft restraint and subtlety. It's in this quiet time, floral notes come forth. This is a perfume that not only performs, it evolves and transcends, and reminds me of the nuance changes traveling as a child through the southwest. The desert constantly changing around us, and yet, the feeling like all was connected - the same shifting fragrances, warmed and awakened by the sun.

What just happened?! I had been looking forward to try this and I was so disappointed the first time I tried it and didn't like it at all. I had received a bunch of samples and know that I should try one at a time, but I couldn't help myself (who can, anyway!?) My nose must have been totally confused and overwhelmed Now, on the second try I love it just as much as I thought I would. I nearly blind bought it. What I love the most is that smoky, wonderful opening where the almonds are rocking the background in harmony with what I assume is the vetiver? It is so mysterious and amazing that I wish it could last and last and last.. Then a bit of the smoke and mystery disappears, but it's still unique and totally gorgeous. Unlike anything I've smelled. It seems like some find it very loud and intense, but I need to run and apply more because I can't get enough of it. yuuuuuummy! I can see myself forcing my man to wear this too, I agree that it definitely works as a unisex perfume UPDATE: I love this one so, so much, but it disappear so quickly on my skin and I have to stuff my nose in there to smell anything at all. I applied and applied, and then even applied some more when I thought I had really overdone it, but it's still very subtle on me. Oh how I wish it could be as intense on me as it sounds like some of you experience it! you lucky bastards! ;-)

PARFUM ...deep, dark, very complex. Sits heavy but unfolds beautifully for hours and hours (see my prior review for this one). EDP (newer version, no character on cap) ...too much patchouli for my taste, this was my least favorite of the 3 concentrations. Had the earthen playdoh vibe of certain patches, amplified by the almond tones which can also sometimes go that way (think of the way a lot of people find Hypnotic Poison playdohy and it's not far off of that type of note mixed into a spicy woody scent). The vetiver was still very prominent but the delicious boozy quality of the parfum is lacking which makes it seem less sweet, too. EDT (newer flat cap version) I think this is my favorite of the 3 but it's been a while since I tried the parfum. Spicy woody and warm, with a kind of fizzy feel up close from the iris, and a non-sweet doughiness creating an interesting contrast (almond). Manages to keep flirting with the edge of a sweet note, but never gets there. Unfortunately the vetiver note is still a bit too sharp for me personally, but I find worn on fabric this note's really toned down and the sweetness of the almond/vanilla come out more: RECOMMEND IT ON FABRIC. Very nice on a scarf on a cool autumn day as it simmers with warmth. If it weren't for the sharpness I think this would be a big love for me, but my skin does amp vetiver.

I have 2 bottle of this, one vintage and now one reformulated (just bought today). I've put 2 sprays of the reformulation on the left wrist and 1 spray of the vintage on the right. HUGE DIFFERENCE! While the basic scent profile is similar, the quality, sillage and how they develop on the skin is very different. The vintage's opening is dominated by a very boozy amaretto the heart has a much stronger presence of patchouli, chocolate and benzoin while the reformulation is more of a light powdery almond scent with the patchouli toned down in favour of the vetiver. The reformulation transitions to the drydown in the span of a few minutes leaving behind a light powdery floral and vetiver scent, while the drydown of the vintage takes much longer to get to and has a more balsamic, sweet finish. The vintage is also stronger and longer-lasting, I could smell it on my wrist from a foot away whereas my nose had to touch the wrist the reformulation was sprayed on. I can also still smell the vintage on myself after showering whereas the reformulation is undetectable. If you like lighter powdery scents the reformulation should be fine (it still smells really good), but if you're looking for the intense, sexy fragrance promised in so many of these positive reviews, make sure you track down a bottle of the vintage, it is definitely better.

I'm really enjoying wearing this now it's warm. In winter I didn't love it. The chocolate stood out with the benzoin and vetiver in a sort of clashing unenjoyable way to me. I preferred the parfum which has so much complexity and was mindblowing in its changeability with every breath. I felt like I'd wasted my money getting this as well. Now in the heat it smells so well blended. It's warm and creamy and a little bit spicy. Last summer I really enjoyed wearing Kenzo Jungle in the heat. The spices make it very dry, like being in arid heat even in humidity. I'm getting the same vibe from this. This is less spicy, less loud and softer overall. I can smell every single ingredient. That's never happened to me before. When I close my eyes and breath in I can pick them all out and that's so fun. On the whole it smells like a woody, spicy amaretto. The cedar and vetiver are prominent to me, and thankfully the chocolate is no longer sticking out. I'm not a fan of chocolate notes. The benzoin acts like a creamy connector to everything. It's bittersweet. I'm reviewing the older bottle with the silver design on top. Update: I've had this for a year now and I must say I love it more and more. It's lovely year round, day or night.

This perfume surprised me. I try to predict how a perfume smells like by looking at the notes here on fragrantica, but this one is much more floral than I anticipated. Which is a good thing since I like florals a lot. But i was expecting something more gourmand! It has gourmand facets though, especially in the late drydown. But if you're expecting a full blown sweet dessert type of smell, this is not it. It is not excessively sweet either, something which I find refreshing. The market is hypersaturated with sugary sweet concoctions(la belle, si intense, LVEB etc) so this may not be the most trendy perfume out there, but it's quite interesting and unique. Some people might find it dated or mature, but I don't think it is. It's very elegant and luxurious. Anyway, at first it starts very boozy floral. Think flowers dipped in amaretto. Then it dries down to a dark woody boozy oriental with gourmand touches. Subtle powdery notes. This can definitely be unisex. I imagine an Oscar Wilde type of guy wearing this. If you enjoy stuff like Jazz Club, Angel's Share, Hypnotic Poison or Alien Essence Absolue, you would probably enjoy this too.

I have both the original formula and the current reformulated version. The current version is missing the boozy amaretto and most of the deep smoke. Though I much prefer the original, the current version is lighter, easier to wear for most people. This current version is very woody with much stronger vetiver and cedar notes. The floral notes are much more understated, hidden, almost non existent. The dark chocolate and caramel notes are softer, not nearly as rich as in the original. When I wear this current version, I feel as if I'm wearing a totally different but very likeable woody fragrance that is nothing like the original formula. This current version is much more unisex, dry and airy. It projects strongly for hours and lasts forever until you wash it off. Warm & comforting, this version is perfect for Fall and Winter days and nights. It's still airy enough to wear in Spring and Summer, too, so it's more versatile. In Spring and Summer, it reminds me of distant smoky campfires burning the cool night breezes. Definitely worth owning both versions.

Oh my goodness. Let me tell you how I went into my local department store for a different fragrance and the sales associate showed me Le Baiser Du Dragon and after I left the store I literally could not stop smelling my arm! I had to go back for it. Even though this fragrance is on the pricey side, it's worth every single penny! Upon first spray it can be a bit daunting, however, once it dries down you will fall in love with this one. It's pure elegance and class. Something you'd wear to a gala or a fancy evening out. The perfect pairing with a little black dress and heels. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I may just wear this one out with my boyfriend...<3 There's only a few Cartier scents I love (La Panthere and Goutte de Rose being the others), but this one is just gorgeous. Definitely not an every day scent, but a great evening one - especially if you want to make a statement. I would recommend this fragrance to any woman who wants to stand out from the pack and be bold. Bravo, Cartier! Sincerely, A severely obsessed fragrance collector. :)

I don't have the sophistication or knowledge of notes that many of you have, so therefore my articulation may fall somewhat short and without much flair. I get almond, chocolate, and cedar woodsy on my wrist with this one. Not a bad combo IMO. This scent is perfect for me today - raining, raining, raining, typical San Francisco weather that casts a gloomy view when looking out a window. Strangely, I felt like wearing something different this evening, something a bit dramatic with a twist. This is perfect because it's a bit moody. Now, if Mr. Wonderful would be kind enough to nibble on my ear, the day would end perfectly. He does like this one, so my chances are good to excellent that he will. I do love this stuff, especially on a winter's day! I can see a confident woman wearing this into the board room after applying it c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y in the morning. Emphasis on very early morning and very sparingly. Otherwise the board members will be gacking and wheezing. It could have a Mace effect if used with abandon and induce tears. Just a warning.

I originally bought a .25oz tester and within days purchased the full size- I immediately understood why Le Baiser du Dragon had such a cult following. The opening is filled with confident, tantalizing almond and amaretto notes that just envelop the senses, and the dry down blooms into a dark, mystery-filled floriental. While I definitely pick up on the chocolate and caramel notes as the scent wears on, these notes don't really translate as a gourmand, and instead add to the sweet darkness of this fragrance This fragrance lasts all day on me, however, my only complaint is that the sillage isn't very strong. I find this scent to be incredibly seductive and mysterious on me, however, I can see how this may translate as a grandma scent on someone else's skin. This scent does seem a little mature, but on the right skin with the right presence, I think it can be totally stylish and sexy on a young adult. If you can, try to get a tester before you purchase a full size- there are quite a few .25oz bottles circulating alongside the full sized ones.

Another fragrance that is easily unisex although marketed to women, Le Baiser Du Dragon is sensuous, luscious, and warm. As the sun entered my window (and I awaited my landlord's installation of proper blinds today) its heat really lent a radiance to the opening, all redolent with the beloved bittersweet digestif Amaretto and white florals. Perfect for an October morning. Other's may gripe about the opening's sharpness, but I find this stimulating in fragrances, go figure. As the top notes settle, there is a crossfade into the very oriental heart of the scent, rich with cedar, rose, and ultra dark chocolate blended with caramel. The sweetness is tempered so that it in no way veers into gourmand territory. This is full on balsamic oriental. For some reason, my skin really brings out vetiver early on in any fragrance that has it, and this is no exception. The base is full on vetiver on my skin with patchouli and lingering sweetness extended through a benzoin/amber accord. So nice. Another winner for autumn comfort. Thumbs up.

Legendary floriental & how to recognize the first formula Very complex, captivating boozy almond-amber-vetiver floriental which opens with a lot almonds and amaretto with green facets, must be the neroli, too. In the middle stage the jasmine, iris and rose round out the composition, giving way to a delicious base of benzoin, amber, dark chocolate and a hint of patchouli. The vetiver keeps it from getting too sweet. It’s unique and of amazing quality, I haven’t encountered anything similar. It lasts the entire day, with medium sillage, softer towards the end. It retains the french elegance of the house, and isn’t a powerhouse, despite the name. It’s discontinued, but still circulating. There are two versions which you can recognize by the cap. The original release had silver plating on the cap, the second has a black smooth lacquered cap. Allegedly the first release is the deepest and richest. I have the first and I love it! Highly recommended.

Le Baiser Du Dragon is a rich fragrance of spices, fruits, and herbs that awakens the senses. The Eau De Parfum unfolds like an exotic narrative. Upon spraying it, I was immediately struck by bittersweet almond liqueur, star anise, and ripe apricot. The middle layer notes are warm musk and soft cedar--reminiscent of a Chinese lacquered tea chest! The comforting base notes of amber and patchouli round out this voluptuous beauty. Although not listed in the ingredients, Le Baiser Du Dragon appears to be spiked with hints of tonka bean and cinnamon as well---especially evident after an hour. This Cartier cocktail blends shots of DiSarrono and Galliano with a frothy Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte for dessert. This 5-star masterpiece will definitely tempt your olfactory palate! Sillage is excellent. Surprisingly, longevity is fair (about 3 hours), so I spritz it in my hair to last longer ;-)

Let me regale you with tales of its splendour, though I must confess, it may be a tad too sophisticated for the average folk who fail to grasp its intricate allure and sheer magnificence. Alas, it faced a daunting hurdle in its journey to glory—the initial whiff was somewhat unfamiliar and failed to please the senses, which, in today's fast-paced society, is akin to committing a cardinal sin, for instant gratification reigns supreme. Oh, if only my pockets were lined with abundance, I would seize the opportunity to acquire the exclusive rights to this exceptional fragrance. For in its captivating essence lies a symphony of scents that only the discerning connoisseurs can fully appreciate.

It smells like a creamy whiskey liqueur but without dairy, instead it has almond in the best sense of the word. It is not dairy but it is amber, semi sweet and semi spicy like a spice that does not exist yet but that would be between vanilla and cinnamon, a spice that has been crated just for this perfume. Despite this, this kiss is ethereal, it knows how to fly at great heights. This composition is fabulous for its almond; it does not smell bitter or like synthetic cherry liqueur, but, finally, a perfume with a very refined, sophisticated, elegant almond. Something very relaxing and a little bit invigorating is hidden in this perfume: like coming home after a long day at work and receiving a vigorous body massage with a luxurious body cream, wrapping yourself in a slippery fabric robe.

I got this as a free sample when I bought a mini bottle of another Cartier perfume, and I wish I had bought this one instead of the other as a bottle! On me it makes me smell like butter rum, yet with a almost sandwood-y spice that just makes me feel sexy and warm, provoking compliments everywhere I go. I didn't expect that at all. Based on the reviews, I expected 'the Dragon' to kiss me harshly and make me stink like some drunk old lady, not so. This magically transforms me into a dragon lady! Reminds me of opium back in the day... It's dark, sweet, very sophisticated, an expensive black dress kind of perfume best worn to impress, but can also work, for those of us who can pull it off, everyday at work when we want to feel most confident. This is a powerful signature scent. I love it.

This is currently on Cartier.com. The bottle is the same as when I initially purchased it in Paris when it was first introduced. The scent is the same as well. It does not have the same longevity however. The original was one that I sprayed twice and it lasted for almost 24 hours. My new bottle lasts about 6 hours, but it still remains a skin scent at 6 hours which my husband loves when he neck nuzzles. I’m very happy to add this to my collection again. If you have not been in to Cartier on Oahu, you are missing out on a one of a kind experience. The customer service is outstanding. Worth the memories and the experience. You are also assured that you are not getting a knock off. Call ahead to let them know you are interested in this, as it is one they do not always carry at every site.

Born in the year of The Dragon, I was so excited to receive my bottle yesterday, and it's just as I remembered when it first launched. Exquisite...Hot, sensual, very seductive feeling. This is a Cartier masterpiece, which needs no upgrades nor "special editions". It's like a new take on my mothers favorite original YSL Opium. So spicy, a bit nutty without being too gourmand. I'd actually classify this as an Oriental type fragrance because of it apparent complexity. However you want to classify it, to me, it's the best Cartier has to offer. If anyone has any suggestions on something remotely similar, price tag and all, I'm open to suggestions. I recommend this one highly especially if you have a dangerous, Dragon spirit. Projection and longevity are enormous as well.

Discovering this perfume was like a gift, but wearing it is a wonderful thing. It's a privilege. I believe this fragrance came straight from the fantasy world where no one is surprised when a dragon with golden scales and sparkling red eyes appears, dancing majestically in the air followed by thousands of bright and beautiful creatures, never seen before in our world. Simply impressive ... I could not describe the feast of my senses when I use this classic among the classics. And the name, oh my! Can you imagine the power and mystery that a dragon's kiss would have? It is strong, but also very delicate, and at the same time voluptuous and innocent ... it is a pure and perfect controversy that lasts all day. It is a miracle turned into a perfume.

At my age, I've seen so many pitiful reformulations - but post 2007 Baiser du Dragon belongs in The Bad Fragrance Reformulation Hall of Fame. If I had encountered the current version first I definitely wouldn't own this. The parfum and edp from 2003 that I have is a warm, deep, resinous oriental with luscious, boozy, gourmand orange top notes, and a slightly sweet smoky spicy heart on a great amber base. It's not an overwhelmingly patchouli focused fragrance, though there's some there (more so in the edp). Longevity is excellent. I was flat out shocked to try a friend's 2010 edp next to mine. It's awful. The one thing it has going for it is that it disappears quickly. Yuck.

This is one of those perfumes that, whether you like it or not, is just so incredibly different than anything out there, and exudes class. I have one that I bought about three years ago, before they reformulated it, and it's just so delicious! I can see where people are reminded of their old aunts, but On the right skin, this turns warm and so soft. It stays forever, and has great sillage. I haven't tried the new reformulated one, and I am a little scared of trying it and hating it, so I think I'll wait until mine is finished before I do. It truly is a masterpiece, if anything just because it does not try to be trendy, it just smells expensive and unique.

Cafe amaretto and brandy in a cup with a floral accent on top, placed next to a decadent tray of dark chocolates. Le Baiser Du Dragon by Cartier is one of my top 5 fragrances and my first choice for an autumn scent. It's an elegant and powerful parfum which is equally pleasing from the initial spray through to the dry down phase. The intoxicating scent just lingers and it's so pretty. This fragrance made a recent comeback and is now available again in the fine department stores. I was so happy to purchase another beautiful bottle. My only sadness is that I don't have a bottle with the original Chinese cuttings on the bottle top. I love this scent so much!

I. Am. In. Love. From my manufacturers sample so graciously provided by tneequeenie!! The spices hit hard and hot with the sweet almond floating in and around a soft green patchouli. Other notes are hard to pick out as much. I may have found a close second to my top favorite perfumes! I tried a full spray at the Saks counter once but that was so incredible sweet compared to my new sample it's hard to believe! Until this sample arrived I was actually a little disappointed but wow!!!! I'm in love now and NEED a bottle! The problem now lies with the cost and availability factor and whether the bottle purchased is like the sample. Anyone not want theirs, lol?

Why I had always thought that it was a freaking heavy fragrance so never even attempted to try it for all these years, and why oh why, have I just decided to try it by decanting only to find out that, 1. it's going straight into "my favourite perfumes EVER" shelf, and 2. it's discontinued. This is clearly Cinéma's (ANOTHER masterpiece that is discontinued lately) identical twin; while Cinéma is the art historian and a popular lecturer at a prestigious university, Le Baiser Du Dragon is the cybersecurity expert and since she's in a male-dominated field, goes straight for the kill at work but otherwise she's just the sweetest friend you could ever have.

Heavy patchouli goodness & amaretto. One of my absolute favourite oriental fragrances. Warm, lovely and with hidden gems: the lair of the dragon. I think it does have a few things in common with Alien Essence Absolue, which is quite classy to me. Similar feeling, but worlds apart if you know what I mean. I think this particular fragrance has a more familiar feeling to it than any Mugler has. Mugler is based around a style of 80s fragrance, much like Eden or LouLou, where strangeness is key. A 'You know me and you don't' type of deal whereas LBdD is based around recognizable 'orientalism', much like Coco was. Not really comparable to anything else

this is the most seductive scent i've ever smelled-an aphrodisiac i don't know which note makes it so incredibly stunning but i thing this is the whole orchestra of the ingredients composed with perfection by the greatest Alberto Morillas it is unisex in my opinion it transforms a woman into a sexy seductive mysterious lady -and a man into a handsome attractive and also very misterious gentleman very warm and cassy at the same time it smells like "something else" something very intriguing and very addictive i can't stop sniffing at it when i wear it it is a scent for a strong and self-confident person in my opinion

Iris and musk gives me warm and sthg sexy... all is just well done. On my way to purchase. The only thing kept me always away of proper test of this product was a bottle. Not a fan of dragons, Asia. Red, color looked heavy for me since I have looked and I was affraid of sthg really unpleasure. What a surpise! I don;t need anything else besides this one. It has some ingrediens - they making me horny lol - sorry to say it but all I feel in it is smells of lovers and sex. Besides it reminds me my Polish friend Asyja. she was obsessed about it and I totally agree with her. Besides I like other Cartier products.

There is nothing "warm" or exactly "sensual" about this fragrance. I am so happy I did not "blind buy" this, but tried before considering. The notes for this can't be right. I used this site as a reference, but was confused after testing. I was so excited to see it in person and couldn't wait to smell it.It's not very spicy, but almost green, herbaceous, with a hint of sOmE spice, and lots of woods. I don't know what to really conclude about this one. Definitely not worth the money it costs and more 'Puff the Tamed Dragon' if anything. No fire, no excitement, ABSOLUTELY no mystery...just Meh.

How can I start to said this... So many years waiting for this bottle and now I have it in my hand ...And this is not what I was expecting ,a bitter almond master piece, a replacement for HP Dior. I percieve a lot of white musk, something like menthol, a masculin type of woods , some warming little sweetness . And a reminiscence of Pi Givenchy, a masculine La panther Cartier , or Narciso Rodriguez for Her mixed with Midnight Poison Dior. That's my first impression. Maybe with time I learn to appreciate this piece, and also I find all that many notes. But now I want my bitter almonds.

This is unlike anything else, such a masterpiece with a strong, tasty character, gourmand, fire and smoke, nuts, booze. Discontinuing it was the most insane mistake Cartier ever made. Good to know that it's been reissued. Deep, powerful, classy, makes a statement, lasts well. I have the dab edition on the picture, just smaller bottle, and the Prestige edition, spray, and a bit different. Both are masterpieces. Love the name and the oriental bottle, too! The name and the notes attracted me to this perfume, and the scent keeps me captivated. Unique.

This Dragon's kiss isn't as deep, passionate and thrilling as I clearly remember it to be several years ago, but the essence of this perfume is still unigue and very beautiful despite the weakened state of it. I just don't understand why they do this to these amazing and outstanding gems; this ...castration of something so mysterious, captivating, memorable and impactful. But! I have it in my collection, again, after all these years, and I cherish it and love wearing it. Unique oriental, almondy, earthy, spicy, powdery sweetness.

One of the prettiest perfumes. It has energizing components anytime I sniff it its energy booster. I don't know what ingrediens is responsible but its gives arousal. My friend told me about it - anytime she sprays her husband is ready ... and she also. Well I didn't believe her, so I got it and indeed...she was right. I talk about formula I got 10 years ago in Skokie Bloomingdale. Alberto Morillas what have you add to the bottle to have a liquid sensual arousal? Formula is so exotic and original I want a new flanker.

This was a blind buy for me from recommendations on youtube fragrance content creators. I thought it sounded like I would love it and I DO!!! OMG this may just be the signature scent I have been looking for. Love at first spray. It is straight off the bat, sexy, warm, not too dirty or musky, not heavy floral, just a lovely steady beautiful fragrance. It really is superb. Day/night, warm or cool weather, I can see me wearing this for all occasions. I just can't say enough good things about this. Highly recommend.

I love this fragrance, but I am having such a difficult time with the new formulation. The bottles of new formula EDP just don't last on me. At first I thought I was buying bad batches on e-bay, but then I went to N.M. (the only place that stocks retail) and spritzed on a sample/tester and got the same thing. Poof, gone in sixty seconds. I find the EDT lasts on me (probably because it's old formula) but the EDT isn't being produced any more. I recently grabbed a few bottles before they vanish forever.

This checks all the boxes for me. It's a little old school, potent, warm spicy, earthy and sweet. If you're into Shalimar, Opium (not black), those kinds, this will be your jam. Its a classy kind of sexy but definitely sexy! It's got that little bit of masculinity that pushes it that direction with all the spice and wood notes, and it doesn't rely on florals very much. I'm keeping my eye out for a back up bottle since it's discontinued. It's not the cheapest but oh so worth every penny.

Something is so very magical and enticing about this perfume, I feel very lucky to have gotten a bottle, thinking that it has been discontinued. Very nutty and almond liquor heavy, but not boozy enough that it leans masculine. It is very oriental and mystical, the way it changes throughout the wear is almost addictive. Not too sure if it is a safe blind buy, but if you ever have the luck of trying before buying this, take advantage of it. Very beautiful and unique scent.

When I got this, I didn’t smell it all at first! The same thing happened with Marc Jacobs Decadence. Apparently I was anosmic to a strong vetiver before I learned to smell it. I don’t know if that’s common, but if you don’t think at this is strong scent will give your nose time! For me, this has become mayby most fascinating scents I have ever smelled...This is a drug scent. Like a syanid for suicide prone. Mayby you don't like it, but You just need it!

Spicy boozy, the liqueur aspect is so strong but surprisingly not off-putting in the least. Wafts of powder and vetiver cut through, keeping the scent engaging and multi-dimensional. Perfect for cold weather, this would be so obnoxious in the heat lol. Intense sillage and very long-lasting, but there's still something very intimate about this scent that makes you want to lean in all the more, even as it's sitting right on top of you. Wonderful offering.

I have to review this again, because it's October and it's been raining for quite a while. And also because Cartier has kindly started selling the Dragon's kiss again. Lots of love Cartier! Think of sitting in front of a fireplace on a cold autumn evening. A hot cup of aromatic chai tea in your hand and you're listening to someone telling a story. He is a good storyteller and his full of fantastic creatures story is about the hidden magic of life.

Blind bought a miniature of this, as I couldn't resist the name :P At first whiff I felt my sense of smell assaulted, it was strong and not at all what I had imagined. But I was determined not to give up on it - I had decided I was going to like it no matter what! Since then I have truly become friends with this confident fragrance. Given the chance, it's warm, friendly and familiar. Kind of like being hand in hand with your significant other.

This is an anomaly for me. I generally don't prefer almond and I downright detest gardenia, and typically if "sweet" is listed in the main accords, the fragrance is a no-go. But I still enjoy this. I get an amaretto and patchouli fragrance with some dusty florals. There is barely a hint of chocolate. The only thing I don't like is an occasional metallic accord - but my bottle is a 10-year old tester. Overall very wearable and is say sexy.

WOW! Pure fantasy vibes. Exotic - as in Far East AND Middle East. I'm currently rewatching VIKINGS, they are on the Silk Road & Le Baiser du Dragon has completely transported me there & I'm here for it! WILD opening of almond-patchouli & AMBER. Oh. My. This is a night out in your (tasteful!) sequins or date-night IN stuff that just FEEDS me. Le Baiser is beyond sensual and solely to ...seduce. WHEW! That's enough of THAT!

Vintage Parfum: Boozy spicy woody opening like amaretto. A oriental amber bordering on gourmand but like a first generation gourmand. It has syrup nuances but not a in your face sugar bomb. A chocolate note surfaces (patchouli?) This is rich and aristocratic would be bordering on arabian. Seductive on the right woman. Read again..WOMAN. Gorgeous. Bought a vintage edp for the upcoming fall and winter

How I love this mystical liquid. Dragon's spirit that smells like bitter memories, soapy flowers and poison almonds...this has always been mine, but now I'm on my last bottle; what a shame Cartier! Without Orto Parisi Seminalis, I wouldn't be able to do this. Don't think the scent is the same. No, but almonds. I can't choose my favorite poison from either. And I love Almonds.

This should be opium and cinnabar's little sister that smells nothing like them. It evokes that same asian earthiness that they both carry. Don't be fooled by the chocolate ND caramel, it's miles away from teeny bopper body mist. This one is a must have for lovers of 70s and 80s statement maker perfumes. The almond and amoretto give it so much oomph.
