L'Envol de Cartier Eau de Toilette

I have a tester of L'envol Cartier edt which I stumbled upon by chance, batch code 7DAA (really old 2017 batch) Presentation: Though it's a tester (no fancy box), The bottle feels high quality and heavy, I love the twisting mechanic to reveal the atomiser(this part is full metal btw), though the atomiser is quite weak(1 and a half sprays=average sprayer), it still sprays wide. This wouldn't matter if the scent were bad however... Scent: of the top, you get a fleeting orange/lemon zest citrus combo, which is really pleasant and doesn't turn floor cleaner on my skin(some lemon fragrances do), which quickly develops into a light and ozonic type of honey, which kinda smells like the unprocessed ones I get from my Grandma, who collects her own honey bees, not the processed kind in syrups/supermarkets which smell denser and sweeter. Really good musky undertones too in the deeper dry down. Compared to the EDP based on one sniff, the EDP swaps the honey for denser and sweeter honey, opting for a richer, powdery, sweeter and woodier fragrance,with boozy nuances on my skin somehow.(maybe the honey is something like mead?I'm not sure). It also projects further for sure longevity: as yall can maybe expect, this isn't a top performer. Got 5-6 hours when wearing it in the 31c heat(sunny day), but I'm not complaining cause it wasn't meant to last so long being a sweeter freshie. The projection isn't great either, only projecting 1ft for 1-2 hrs and it needs heat to project otherwise it will stay as a skin scent past the 2nd hour ;-;(though occasional whiffs of it do still appear). (mind you I do have bad skin chemistry with most fragrances) recommend 5-7 sprays of this. when to wear? It isn't too youthful, yet not mature either(just my opinion) but is a pleasant scent so I think this is quite ageless actually, given that it is bordering creative and appealing for having the pronounced honey note in a fresh scent. Great for office/school wear due to the soft projection . Leans Masculine, though ladies if you wish I don't think many will question if you wear this. GTG for a blind if you like honey/musky/airy scents (though i do recommend for every fragrance that you get some sort of sample) At the end of the day though, wear what you want and like, within reason so you don't bother too many people :D. Well well well...I received my bottle of L'Envol de Cartier today and I'm absolutely blown away! Wow... The Opening.... I sprayed my neck and inner elbows as soon as I got the package open and the sharp citrus and green notes hit me hard and fast. But it didn't last long, before I could even think of any displeasure in the notes, the green haze faded into lovely and lively citrus and HONEY!!! The softness and sweetness I initially attributed to a Violet note in the EDP sample was also found in the EDT! That's when I realized that it's the HONEY!! Not any other note! I think that I'm in love...Honey is A-MAZING!!!! The Mid... The fragrance stayed projecting a soft but enlivening citrus-honey cloud all around me. (Oh how I wish I could find this in a larger bottle!) I know already that I'm buying a backup bottle on Friday! The Drydown... After about an hour and 45 minutes, the Drydown phase seemed to begin or come into effect. The citrus faded back leaving the honey note as the main with a hint of orange...which soon was accompanied by a woodiness and warmth. It almost felt like creamy sandalwood mixed with amberwood. I'm guessing that's the "guiac wood" note. That woody warmth combined with the sweet and warm honey-citrus notes...Let me tell you, I almost wanted to cuddle with myself!!! This fragrance is the most alluring, sexy and inviting fragrance that I have smelled in a LOOOOOOONG time! And yet, it seems like something so upper crust and professional! I found my perfect vanilla in J.Choo Vanilla Love. I found my perfect woods in Versace Eros Parfum. I found my perfect incense/smoke in Raghba Wood Intense. I found my perfect violet in Bentley Black Edition. I found my perfect iris in Dior Homme Intense. I found my perfect pineapple in Lattafa Qaed al Fursan. I've now found my perfect orange/citrus in L'Envol de Cartier. The circle is almost complete... EDIT: Lol...the wife immediately grabbed the 9ml sprayer they included with the purchase of the 2.7oz bottle. I guess I'm getting my wish of smelling it on her!! UPDATE (08SEP22): I adore this fragrance. I've purchased its EDP sibling and they will be together in a week. The EDP seems to hold up in heat/sweat better than the EDT.

Let me say first, that I absolutely love the EDP. Just finished a bottle and decided to take a twist with the EDT. Based on reviews here, I was expecting something very similar. Someone was even saying that if you own one of them you don't need the other. I ordered it online, blind buy and all that. Was I wrong with my expectation... First spray on the wrist, dig my nose in it and this doesn't feel even close to the EDP. The only thing that reminds me about my lovely scent is the bottle shape and some note well hidden in the background. Now I smell citrus and something herbal which is so strong that makes you feel like choking. This was one of those moments when you start asking yourself "Why I didn't played safe and order the truly tested one?!" I went for a walk and suddenly my nose catched something gorgeous. I checked my wrist again and guess what?! Still very harsh on close sniff but the sillage around me was something else... and all that with one spray almost hidden under my sleeve. BEAUTIFUL! This smell is stunning! I see what you mean by saying this is more like a mainstream version of the original. Midway through the EDP you feel this vintage vibe from it, which is kinda exchanged in the EDT with something like lemon synthetic vibe. Don't get me wrong it's done in a really good way. To me the honey here is way more transparent than the original and it's more background. I'm to the point now, where I'm not sure which one I like more. Both are unique, they always gonna stand out from the crowd. Of course I have to wear the EDT more for a final conclusion. It seems like the EDT is for all around usage where the EDP goes for these special moments. This of course is my opinion nothing strict here. When you test these scents in the store don't judge immediately. Give them time. Both start very harsh and take time to settle down.

Yukarda sıralanmış tüm notaları tek tek hissedebiliyorsunuz. Bağırmayan, dikkat çekme çabasında olmayan bir parfüm. Konforlu ve olgun. Portakal ve hafif bir misk on planda. Güven veren bir profil çiziyor. Kalıcılığı biraz daha iyi olsa harika olacakmış. Ancak keyifli hali 1 saat kadar sürüyor. 3-4 saat sonra aslında tamamen kayboluyor. Kapalı bir mekanda fark ediliyor ancak açık havada "buradayim" diyemiyor. Keyif almak için 2-3 saatte bir yenilemek lazım. Parfüm konsantrasyonu ise daha farklı bir koku ve kalıcılığı sadece biraz daha iyi. O da keyifli bir koku ancak edt olanı daha karakterli ve özgün. Cartier in tüm erkek kokularını beğeniyorum. Eğer biraz daha kuvvetli olsun istiyorsanız o zaman Santos almanız lazım. Biraz eski havası var ancak belirgin şekild e kendini hissettiriyor. Bu parfümde şişe bittiğinde alttan sokup yeni refill alarak kullanmaya devam ediyorsunuz. Fiyat farkı çok değil ama parfüm kullanma pratiklerinize bir başka uğraş katıyor. Takım elbise ile harika olacaktır. 25 yaş ve üstü için çok uygun bence kadınlarda kullanabilir. Kumaş üstünde kalıcılığı biraz daha fazla.

Nice and original, especially for the current offering. The citrus and honey are mixed very well, there are also touches of musk and soft Woody notes. It has the class and elegance of something from the 80's but modernized and rounded. The overall is a refined,elegant, gentle and top quality blend. The sweetness here is very soft, the edp is more potent but maybe too sweet for my taste. For elegant or dressy situations, Better for spring and fall. For men over 25. The performance is Just ok, nothing amazing for longevity and projection. I love the bottle as well. I dont have anything like this in my collection, it can be the modern version of boss Number One, maybe it has a similar vibe of guerlain l'instant ph edt(the smell is different of course). The honey-citrus combo is love or hate, for me in this case is a love! L' envol edt verte molto sulla combo miele e citronella. Profumo molto elegante ed originale di questi tempi. se vi piace la nota del miele (comunque qui molto bilanciata) e le vibe eleganti e raffinate lo consiglio caldamente. apprezzo molto l'envol edt e si distingue in mezzo a tanti profumi. Performance decente, meglio durante le mezze stagioni e con un outfit adeguato. Scent-8, 5 Longevity -7 Sillage-6,5/7 Versatility -7,5 Uniqueness- 8,5/9 Presentation-8,5 Compliment factor-8 Backup bottle? I love both the EDT and EDP. They're different from each other, but the differences are slight. About the EDP: The EDP is more sophisticated, more complex, and has more iris and pepper in it. It also lasts longer as a skin scent than the EDT does. Best for colder months (the EDP is great in the fall as the weather cools down... the best!) About the EDT: The EDT is airier, and fresher than the EDP, though I wouldn't consider it a freshy, it does have a 'fresh, soapy' quality. There is no 'peppery' note like in the EDP, and the iris is turned way, way down... almost undetectable, but it is there in the background. Iris in the EDP is stronger. Others here describe the EDT as an "expensive honeyed soap", and I think that's accurate. The dry down of the EDT is GREAT and is better than the opening. After 30 mins I get natural honey, slightly floral & herbal notes, light warm woods, with a very mild citrus in there somewhere. I really prefer the EDT in warm weather to the EDP, and it works better as an office fragrance. But both are excellent, very well blended, and a fairly unique scent profile that most people probably haven't smelled before. Classy and refined and unique. I'd recommend to the more mature crowd, and both of these are unisex. If you overspray, the honey part will be pretty offensive till it calms down.

I agree with Judespeak. The go-to insult for anything people dont like is that the fragrabce is "generic". Ironically, the criticism itself is even more generic and unoriginal than the fragrance to which its referring. The other rather generic, catch-all stock insult to any citrus fragrance that people dislike is that it "smells like a lemon scented cleaning product"...I notice people claim any citric fragrance "smells like a lemon scented cleaning product"...Aventus, Elysium, you name it; when people want to sound contrarian, they just lob some cliche description about lemon cleaning products at it (or in the case of Aventus, people will even claim it smells like pine-sol). The irony is that every fragrance smells like something else (because theyre composed of the same raw materials that have already been discovered by scientists, other perfumers etc). But Im glad someone else has noticed the pattern of cliche descriptors used by some reviewers. Regarding L'envol, I find it refreshingly sweet, light, clean and ultra unisex smelling. I cant think of any cologne that smells like it. The only thing it resembles to my nose would be some kind of luxury soap.

For me, this EDT has nothing to do with the EDP version and thus it's pointless to compare them. This one has been something I've liked a lot from the beginning. I love this composition because it's simple, very airy, and it has the right amount of citruses without being too forward/harsh, or having too much projection of citrus notes. The scent is a perfect choice for summer days. It's not overly masculine but I believe that's a price you need to pay to keep the breeze and lightness of the composition. To me, the main character of this fragrance is a herbal-citrusy note sitting on a light musk base. While I don't like herbal or green notes in the foreground at all in fragrances, this is something special here which adds the twist and a unique character to the fragrance, separating it from the typical citrus summer fragrances. Honey is also just supporter here rather than a main character, which is good because it doesn't run into the issue of being too sweet. I wish projection would be 20 percent better because it sits a bit closer to my skin than I prefer, even during warmer days. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 6/10 Longetivity: 6/10

I've been wanting to try the EDP since it released, however I found this one at an outlet store for a great price. So, I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised. I only have one other frag with a honey note, which is nowhere near a summer fragrance so I was a bit skeptical at first. Also, the mixture of honey, citruses and musk... I just wasn't sure. Well, blast away and for sure, the beginning of this one is very off putting. Citrus heavy, musky, faint sweetness. Then it starts to dry (about 15 minutes) and wow... It's damn fine. Nice mix of tart citrus and raw honey. The musk sort of low key throughout. The drydown, a mix of all with a woody and very slight floral tone. This stuff is great! A very unique all year winner. The longevity for me is pretty good, 8 hours (sometimes more under the right conditions). Sillage is pretty nice for the first two hours. This has a slightly more mature vibe but I think it's fine for all age groups. Women might even enjoy this one although it leans masculine. I'd say you could wear this on any occasion as well. Sig worthy, to me. Must get my hands on the EDP!

Cartier is one of my FAVORITE designer brands. I just hate how it is not celebrated like some of the other brands. I have 4 Cartier fragrances, and I can honestly say that quality is top notch for such an underappreciated designer house. As it relates to L'Envol, Mathilde Laurent really did a fantastic job creating this fragrance. It is a rich, beautiful woody fragrance. I fell in love with it on the first sniff...and on my body and clothes, it smells fantastic. L'Envol is perfect for casual or date nights. Personally, I would wear it in the spring and fall, but I can see someone rocking this fragrance in the summer as well. Two thumbs up for this masterpiece, but DO NOT let my review influence your buy. Assess it yourself and have your own thoughts, rather than strictly going off someone else's thoughts and opinions. If you can, I suggest getting a sample first...or looking up the notes to ensure you will like it. Read reviews before buying a fragrance, but take them with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinion regarding smells. IF you do buy it, enjoy it as much as I do :-)

I bought Cartier L'Envol back in 2018 and after letting it macerate for a few years, I am mindblown by how criminally underrated this fragrance is. The opening immediately envelops you in a pleasant mixture of honey, subtle powdery notes, and even a milky/lactonic note somewhere in the background. The drydown is just as lovely. Although the citrus notes aren't that apparent, you can pick up a little bit of citrus zest. Cartier L'Envol makes you feel like a sophisticated diplomat with a strong, well-mannered character. Although intimidating to some, he still has a sweet side that he only shows to his loved ones. The performance of this fragrance is fantastic. Only two sprays and it'll last over 24 hours. The projection is great for the first 16 hours, leaving behind very notable trails. Even after that time, it still has a big scent bubble before turning into a skin scent on the 20 hour mark. Cartier L'Envol is best suited for men over 25 years of age. It's maturity, masculinity, and kindliness in a bottle. A gentleman's fragrance!

So Mathilde is turning in niche fragrances in the designer category. What an amazing body of work. September/October this is in heavy rotation. Ideal for early fall. Bright, nostalgic, uplifting. The citrus notes last longer on my clothes than skin where I quickly get a green dewey wet bright rich soft honey over musk. Smells expensive and fresh and rich and smooth. Great on cooler summer nights too. The bottle is my favorite of the other great packaging on cartier fragrances. The fragrance looks like it's suspended over an outer one like in the edp but its all thick glass which i much prefer anyway. Why let something beautiful break everywhere because I'm sleepy one morning The citruses and musk notes are not too far off from other notes I've smelled in various natural honeys almost like the entire composition is an idealized, highlighted, illuminating honey. This smells like the last scene of Everything Is Illuminated that opens out over the sunflower field around the old lady's house.

ok, so this one is really hard to like but ig i’m kinda here for it? well, for me, in the beginning it smells really strong with a medicinal herb scent but as it dries down it starts to get more likeable to me since the artemisia gives room to a musky and citrusy honey, unlike the traditional sweet and cloying honey in Scandal (JPG), Honey (Marc Jacobs) or even that Animale for men cologne. Overall, this perfume basically smells like a more realistic honey with the strong medicinal herb scent from the artemisia note, really mature and powerful and even though the honey itself is not very strong, the herbal notes makes it really sickening and when you sweat or do too much exercise, you get that motion sickness feeling. when it’s hot, I recommend spraying and staying at home until it dries down, because the realistic honey makes it worth the minor inconvenience.

I think every woman have at least one (men fragrance) in her collection and l’envol is my guilty pleasure. I received it as a gift from a friend (also a girl) and it was so easy love. Sometimes I think it’s too masculine for me, it’s not so easy for me to wear , I’ll pass it to my brother (since my nephews love it when I allow them to wear it, makes them feel grown up little men 🥺🥺) then one last goodbye sniff and I say naaaaaah this is too beautiful to giveaway, I’ll keep it for myself 😑. I like layering it with my summery tropical scents , it gives them some depth making them last longer. Yesterday I asked my sister what fragrance she was wearing cause she smelled AMAIZING , she said “ oh! That’s your Cartier fragrance “ . I don’t know if this considered to be a positive review 😂😂😂 but yes this fragrance became a family favorite and it is amazing.

Brilliant release. Be warned of the honey, for honey will greet you with the force of ten thousand bees upon initial spray. Some magic be at work here. I cannot understand how this accord fills the room so quickly, echoing off the walls, not being able to discern the origin. This is not some over sweet, played-out gourmand accord though. An aromatic blend slowly emerges as the angry swarm of honey recedes- but never disappears- into the blend. What starts out like it’s going to be a guns blazing, feminine perfume fit for the boudoir somehow ends up swinging by a masculine, maybe even old school barbershop. But Envol manages to live in both worlds at once. This fragrance lasts all day and is not weak or fleeting. Cartier does it again- an incredible perfume with a unique journey and many facets unfolding along the way.

First of all, I believe there are more notes in this than listed above. The drydown smells of mild patchouli and more herbal than just artemisia. Be that as it may, Cartier’s fragrance is both fascinating and beautiful. L’Envol EDT is delicately complex, much like spider’s silk, and just as deceptively in its strength. It opens with a honeyed note that gives the impression that it is a feminine perfume and will tend toward weak longevity. With time, a woodsy herbal accord emerges, which helps the ‘for men’ tag make sense, though this is far from rugged. It lasts a good while but is mild mannered like most Cartier fragrances tend to be. I can see this scent appealing to and enhancing the persons of a contemplative, soft spoken, well-groomed gentleman with deep intellectual reserves.

This is a beautiful, understated and elegant fragrance. I place this fragrance in the same genre as scents like Millesime Imperial, Silver Mountain Water, Vetiver Geranium and maybe Gucci PH2 in terms of having that same very light, airy, breezy feel. Obviously it doesnt share any similar notes to the aforementioned fragrances, but it has the same effect to my nose. This almost just smells like a very light, milky, smooth high quality soap. Enjoyed my sample so much I had to go ahead and buy a full bottle. If the toilette projected more or at least lasted longer this would probably be my favorite fragance right now

I happened to get in touch with this wonderful citrusy gourmand accidentally. From the first moment I toyed with the neatly designed cap, sprayed the juice and smelled it, the fragrance kinda stuck in my brain, like, permanently. I decided at once that this is among my signature frags. To me L'Envol is one for those who are dynamic, energetic and full of ideas. When I don't want to stay idle, I'll spray this to the inside of my undershirt, and then walk the rest of the day confidently. Longevity is a bit of an issue but I enjoy the projection so much, it's forgivable. It's eight out of ten.

I agree with silencer1 and judespeak... however.. i can see why people call this generic... maybe they compare this to cartier's iconic releases. They think about declaration, declaration d'un soir, santos, or pasha as a standard. Compared to them yes... it might be called generic. Because this is not a challenging fragrance IMO. Yes, this is pleasant but as we can see it's uniqe enough to generate a debate about it's uniqeness :D personally I love this stuff because it gives you a pleasant aura. Don't buy it blind but give it a try and make your own opinion. I think this deserves it.

This has been my alltime favorite and I was so sad to learn it was discontinued. The honey lingers in the air so lightley and it all just smells so fresh and comforting. This makes me feel like those days in spring or ealy fall when the sun is out and the temperature is just perfect, you're neither cold or hot, the atmosphere seems to merge with your bodytemperature and everyhing is just perfect. Pure comfort! So happy I found an old a tester from a webshop in another country, and I'm falling in love with this all over again

The more I wear it, the more I love it. Lots of really amazing unsolicited compliments too. I smell the citrus more now than at first. It smells like a large basket of dried citrus in the foyer of an expensive house. The honey note is a spring or clover honey. Honey note is rich and a little sweet. It's musky and has a persistent dry woody note too. Green artemisia keeps it clean and fresh. Complements honey note beautifully. Much prefer this to the edp. Sexiest Cartier. Amazing fragrance.

On my skin, the barely-citrus opening quickly settles into a most amazing and transparent blend of natural clover honey; clean, dry hay; and aromatic, resinous wood. It lasts upwards of eight hours, and a foot or two of projection is present nearly all the way through. It’s very unique and extremely inviting, so be ready for questions about what you’re wearing. Easily a contender for a spring signature scent. I’ll miss it during the summer, but will savor the EDP once fall rolls around.

I am so upset that Cartier has decided to discontinue an AWESOME scent. I get though. It never caught on and became popular among the masses, but L'envol was such a beautiful honey, woody, musky scent. As I am getting older, I'm finding that so many of the scents I love are being discontinued. I have been collecting fragrances for 10+ years, and I don't call many fragrances FAVORITES. I hope that I can find a fragrance that smells as great as L'envol because it was one of my FAVORITES.

This is perfect when it is still summer but the children are back in school. It is still over 80F outside and sunny but the sun shines from a different angle than it did earlier in the season. Everything is weird and melancholy but also pretty and resurgent. The idea that fall might be coming is settling in. This fragrance captures these ideas and period of time perfectly. I absolutely love it. And it's basically a total steal at the prices it can be had for.

It reminds of the best part of some ‘80es trails- think of Tenere’ by Paco Rabanne or Insense’ by Givenchy, or even the opulent, lush Versace L’Homme drydown, not to mention Number One Hugo Boss or Giorgio Beverly Hills. For Cartier, it seems less is more ( and edt preferable to edp): this goes for L’Envol and holds true for Déclaration. It is definitely a tribute to the golden days of male bombs, and another instant classic for Mathilde Laurent.

Tried this and the EDP and went with this one. The EDP is great, but heavier and more suited for colder weather. I liked the EDT because it has more of that classic, barbershop feel with the added honey. You can definitely pull this off in the summer, even in hotter weather at outdoor events. Cartier is an underrated house, and one of my favorites. They're not afraid to put out unique scents like this one!

Tried the new eau de toilette. Not a fan of edp as it smells too safe for me; however I'm really impressed by edt. Mathilde Laurent amped up the citrusy part MANY times as the fragrance now sounds as a distinctive cologne. I feel lemons and conventional bergamot/neroli for an invigorating vibe, some honey at the beginning and typical for L'Envol range violets. Finally a beautiful thing by Cartier.

I agree with Allen’s post below about this being about Honey and Powder. I think this is very nice and I love smelling like this. I would have to say it doesn’t match up to a night of drinking beers with the fellas but it matches up taking a sophisticated lady out for a martini. I get average longevity and projection and if you can score from the grey market it’s a good purchase in my opinion.

Another beautiful creation from Cartier. I think many of their scents fly under the unisex banner. I can imagine many different kinds of people wearing this light, natural and effervescent herbal perfume: male, female, young and old. I like the EDP version a tad more, but this is more suitable in warmer weather. Niche quality at an affordable price. Absolutely picking this one up.

Just tested both, and I'm going to steal @Dunpeal's word. These are both superb. Given the choice i would pick this over the edp however. Much friendlier in mixed company. The citrus here dominates, but is not a bright fresh citrus. More like Game Of Thrones citrus, if that makes any sense. Then it really does calm down into a lovely honey-woodsy vibe.

Sad that I never bought backups of this when I had the chance. (>_<) Now I sit here looking at the last 10mm of juice in my bottle of the EDT and wondering if I'll ever find a comparable replacement. I still have half a bottle of my EDP...but that's winter use only....it's far too heavy/thick for any other season. *sigh* Such is life...

This is a new favourite of mine, can't believe it doesn't get mentioned that much in the fragcomm. To my nose it's a modern barbershop scent. It has the same kind of versatility as Platinum Egoiste, just as classy with a little more character. The quality for the price is unbeatable. Love it!

Ok one question... I have smelt this before! I mean, years and years ago. I’m sure I’ve been smelling it for a decade or more. This leads me to wonder... what could it have copied so precisely? Any ideas would be very welcome... Mine at the moment is just Jasmine Noir (the black one) Bvlgari.

So much better than the EDP. It’s powdery and antique with an [extremely] faint sweetness making it just wearable today. Very base heavy and mellow, but that’s what gives it a confident, contemplative mood. Edit: layers great with English Pear and Freesia

Original and interesting. Soapy. I can see some similarity to Guerlain Instant although built on different notes and less sweet. Perfect for office. Definitely do not go for blind buy, check before. Performance reasonable. Beautiful bottle. Overall 8/10.

A more light, citrusy and transparent version of the EDP. It's also a bit more herbal. I love the EDP, and this is a great option for the summer months. Once again, Cartier has delivered a great work. L'Envol has become one of my Cartier favorites. 8/10

This is Superb... Transparent notes of honey,patch,iris,violet,and musk. I have the EDP and will be getting the EDT very soon. The differences are that the EDT has more citrus and the EDP has more violet in the composition. Both are fantastic!

The opening is not that impressing to me, but the mid to dry down is a beautiful thing. I'm not sure exactly what I'm smelling, but when all of these notes blend on a very airy to cool day it creates a nice smell bubble.

Love at first sniff. Light citrus and honey accord in the beginning. Fresh and slightly herbal. Nicely blended. Nice woody undertone. Very versatile and Signature worthy, a beautiful creation from Cartier

This fragrance moved to the top of my list right away. It is fresh, comforting and subtle. The honey note is so good for a man. Not sweet at all, just very natural, a little waxy if that could be a smell.

A fresher and refined version of the L’envol edp IMO A very sophisticated scent with hints of honey, floral accord & musk. Full of warmth, classy and elegant. Very niche in a designer bottle.

Simple wood-honey, but what a beauty! Transparent creamy calm and clean. Artemisia musk and citruses makes a perfect harmony in the background. Character and elegancy. Masterpiece! 10/10

I’ve had this since January of 21 and still stand by my original review of a nice scent. The longevity killed it for me and I quit wearing it. I put this one on the chopping block.

The drydown reminds me of Johnson's Baby Lotion with honey and lemon. It is pleasant, sort of elegant, I detect pepper and paprika in it. I think it's interesting and pretty good.

Whoa. That wasn't what I expected at ALL. I know scent is semi-subjective, but I do not know where all of these descriptions of "freshness" are coming from. This does not strike the nose as a "fresh" scent - it's herbal and soapy, with a touch of honey over the top. The reviews make it sound like this lovely citrus and honey thing, with woods underneath, but personally, I get no citrus, very brief honey, and then soap, herbs, and a few woody/floral notes. So, having been wholly misled about what I ought to have been expecting, how do I feel about L'Envol EDT? Well... I like it! When I was a youth, I would often stay over at my grandfather's farm, and after a day out amongst the apple trees, followed by an afternoon making apple-based goods, I'd have a long, hot shower, lathering myself with this square, brown, old-fashioned cake of soap that (for obvious reasons, given the context) smelled exactly like a grandfather. A damn classy granddad, though... professorial in his grandfatherliness, if you will. But anyway, this fragrance is that hot shower, old-fashioned soap, random-tree-residues-on-the-skin scent, collected, classed up to 11, and bottled - with a snazzy bottle, to boot. It is warm, inviting, and smells like nostalgia. 9.7/10. Gorgeous.
