Thanks to great Mathilde Laurent, Cartier's fragrances are always of great quality. This line (Les Heures de Cartier) is a rare treasure, all of which are experimental, but seemingly get much less attention than it deserves. Lavender, wormwood, rosemary... Just as the colour has suggested, III is all about green. It is not those light green (like lily-of-the-valley), but deeper and more decent. The only shortage is its longevity: based on my 3.5ml dabber, it can hardly be noticed after 2 hrs. Even so, it is still perfect for reading at botanical gardens or picnicking on meadows. This line definitely deserves to be added into a certain artwork collection!

The lavender hour places its protagonist in a worthy ensemble. Shrubs, needles, grass, herbs, greenery all around. Remarkably vert and truly vertueuse. No vanilla or amber to sweeten the lavender, it’s not floral either - it’s raw and aromatic, as nature intended. Salvia, thyme, rosemary all play like one happy family, as they should. This is an eloquent ode of the highest calibre, and Mathilde Laurent is yet again expressing beauty through an olfactory language few of her fellow perfumers can speak. *****

This is one of the best herbal and aromatic greens I have smelled. It is a very realistic lavender plant crushed with a good amount of grass, maybe with a couple of mint sprigs. The lavender is super strong. I have been looking for a natural lavender, and separately a wearable green, and this almost fits the bill for me - but the lavender is so potent and long lasting that you really have to love it to wear it because it is the most prominent note in this scent. Grass and other green notes are in the background and I would like them to be stronger. When I get whiffs of sweet grass, it is absolutely delicious against the sharp lavender. Rosemary and Thyme and Wormwood are present but are blended to perfection. No wood, or florals, or anything dark, just very fresh and very herbal, refreshing to perfection. I found the silage and longevity to be more than appropriate for an aromatic or fougre, not super long lasting, but very sharp in the first few hours, dissipating to a skin scent later on. That said i would highly recommend this on the condition that whomever is interested is a lavender fan. I want to have this in my collection just because it is that good and well constructed, a work of art like this. I just don't know how much I will be able to wear it, but I could see this being a signature contender for someone else at least for the spring and summer. Surprised it’s not more celebrated.

I agree with whoever voted that this is similar to L'Eau de L'Artisan but I want to add some context to that. So L'Eau de L'Artisan I described as like being in a florist but not really smelling the petals and instead all the vases filled with water and the green stems of the plant. It's light and refreshing but natural green smelling. L'Heure Vertueuse drops the water and is like you grabbed a bunch of flower stems and crushed them or put them in a blender. A strong hit of green that is very natural but concentrated. As it starts to dry that stem like quality starts to let go (but never fully drops) and out comes a kind of anise tone, or bitter herbals and it reminded me a little bit of Absinthe. If you like green natural smelling scents, it might well be worth you giving this a try.

The opening is thyme and rosemary. Bitter, dry, and cool—like freshly crushed leaves. Lavender is quite prominent, with a slight medicinal edge. Wormwood appears in the background, adding a deeper bitterness. After a few minutes the herbal sharpness softens and incense begins to emerge, making the scent feel more stable. The fragrance stays firmly in the herbal direction throughout. No sweetness and no florals. The overall impression is clean.

this is a completely realistic arugula salad with olive oil. entrée pairing: roasted chicken breast with beurre blanc.

This is such a beautiful green, herbal aromatic fragrance. I'm using a sample I received at the fragrance counter at Saks and I'm loving it. It reminds me of running around as a kid in a field with all the herbs and flowers and grass that have bloomed in the springtime. You know how you fall down and you crush the flowers and greenery all together and you get that smell that's what I get from this. Very, very beautiful, green, herbal, woody (light on the woody) scent and it's perfect on my body. It's very fresh! Now let me think if I want to spend almost $300 dollars to buy it. Might be worth it!

A very light perfume, indeed I used my entire and very generous sample vial and it's still very subtle. I normally don't really like green fragrances, but this is very pleasant. It smells like snapping a spring twig in twain, inhaling the sinewy gree leaf fracture; a brisk walk through coppice on a bright day in early spring. Slightly anisic, almost like akvavit, it is an ideal scent for the morning, throwing sticks for dogs to chase through dewey grasses wearing a wax jacket and green Wellington boots.

I’m looking for that fragrance. Does anyone have a bottle? EU based 😊
