Every time I put this on > Life feels easier & it makes me smile. It’s not too bad from a bottle 😉 It might feel too basic for some, but it’s not. It’s complex & unique masked in vibrant inspiring fresh air. It’s actually my only! ‘light’ perfume I wear since I’m into much darker heavy stuff for d rest. That tells a lot I guess, that I yet find it still worthy to wear in spite of its absolute light first impression. It reminds me of d Guerlain aqua allegoria line - BUT! It has waaaay longer performance. Meaning > even after 2 days u can still find its fresh sparkling traces of it on ur skin! 🎊😳 How wonderful ✨ I’m really surprised on d best way possible on this creation’s smooth yet distinct power. I really believe u need to be very sophisticated to be able to truly appreciate its absolutely refined lightness. Otherwise u’ll only understand it as lemonspray on windows.. as many do.. But hey ~ It will give u an extra bonus of knowing > Who? Can! recognise & compliment it on U after putting it on! But u’ll not need d compliments as it’ll keep u up & dandy in its joyful vibrant bubble 🤘🥰

I smelled this at Nordstrom and was very intrigued. I was able to find this at a great price and jumped on it . I love how unique it is. It smells like a wild delicate herb garden with a sparkling clean river running down the middle of it. The notes on here are pretty accurate . The herbal and fern really lead the way and stay very prominent through out the longevity. The rosemary smoothes them out then the slight wood just carries everything . The notes are all bright but very delicate . The mix of everything does give a lemongrass scent. So you must like lemongrass. The pistachio is very very light, it gets masked quite a bit . This is a perfect spring fragrance. Biggest con about this fragrance is the longevity. It will stay on the skin for about 4 hours . It will project for maybe 2. Sillage, about arms length for just over an hour. It's something you'll need to respray at least once. Scent 8.0 Complexity -8.5 Quality- 8.5 Performance - 6.0 Bottle 6.5 ( elegant bottle, crappy cap)

I was given this as a sample by mistake and I completely ignored it ... until I tried it on and BOOM! It's like a relaxing holiday in a bottle. It is somewhat similar to Dior Cologne dry-down (and maybe to the original Dior Sport) but much more complex and more intriguing. While the opening citruses in Dior Cologne are slightly clawing, Luxuriance is much softer, a whole lot more sophisticated, less sweet and more aromatic; and while this is definitely a cologne, in the historical sense, it's not all about the citruses. It's leaning masculine as it lacks the white flowers/neroli romanticism that colognes like Chanel Paris-Biarritz / 4711 revel in. In my opinion this is very office friendly. Summer / Spring

As a lover of crisp, bright, green perfumes - this one is a win for me. It's not as green and in-your-face as Hermes' "Le Jardin De Monsieur Li"; it's much more subtle, universal, and calm. Think turquoise more than bright green. It's also not as citrusy and crisp as it's yellow collection sibling, Cartier Allégresse. With that being said, I'm still using (and cherishing) the sample of this perfume because I simply cannot bring myself to pay ~ $120 for a perfume that, although beautiful, lasts for no longer than an hour or two and has a very weak sileage. So in Gwen Stefani's words, "if I was a rich girl"... I'd buy a bucket of this thing and takes it with me everywhere I go.

I think I love the puzzle of this scent. It's so weird and unlike anything I've smelled before. What is this - a bowl of fresh salad? A bouquet of random weeds from the backyard? Lemon zest with melissa in a cup of ... milk? And more importantly - why do I feel the need to smell it again and again? The performance is abysmal - doesn't last more than 30 minutes. And even during those 30 minutes it has minimal projection but that is a good thing because trust me - others will be as confused about this scent as you will be!

I find it very relaxing and at the same time very natural smelling. It gives you the feeling of being in luxury spa, where are used quality products and aromatic oils. Perfect for time when you want to switch relax mode. I feel mostly rosemary that is perfectly blended with complimentory notes. My favourite one from this line.

I had a discount offer tied to my Macy's account that was set to expire yesterday, so I went by Macy's a few days back and tested the 3 new Rivières de Cartier releases. This is the only one of the three I liked and having bought a bottle and worn it twice now, I thought I would write a first impression review and revise it later after more wearing of this scent as appropriate. PERFORMANCE: Pretty weak. Projection is just above skin scent level, even in high humidity and heat. Longevity is also just over 4 hours on my skin, again in high heat and humidity (New Orleans, July). On the bright side, this stuff is virtually impossible to over spray. It is light enough to wear in blazing heat, so folks in high heat environments like those in which I frequently find myself, who are looking for a scent that works in such conditions may want to consider this fragrance. It really is nice, if short lived, in hot conditions. SMELL: Pleasant and not overly complex. The opening is herbal and green, with a bit of lemony citrus. The scent is fairly linear with a vaguely minty element which I believe is a bit of the geranium intertwining itself with the mastic, both of which can have mint notes in their overall scent profiles. The base is woody. Since this fragrance is part of the "Rivers" collection, it is worth noting that it has neither aquatic nor watery-ozonic notes. The fragrance is pleasant, green, herbal and uplifting. It is an interesting blend of natural notes, eschews sweetness and floral elements, and while it breaks no new ground, it is nevertheless atypical in today's marketplace where sweet scents are so dominant and aromachemicals reign supreme. DETAILS: Unisex. Safe for work. Nicely presented with a simple, elegant bottle and good atomizer. Price is high, given the poor scent performance, which will necessitate reapplication throughout the day for most folks which, in turn, will mean you tend to go through the juice rapidly. BOTTOM LINE: Worth testing if you like light, green fragrances and worth buying when it hits discounters sites or if, like me, you have a discount offer to lower the purchase price.

Luxuriance is my second of Cartier's《 Les Rivières 》to try after Allégresse to which it bears a close resemblance. Luxuriance is also a fresh, green-citrus cologne, perhaps less radiant and more aromatic. It is certainly more of a fougère, woody and herbal, soft and aromatic throughout. While I definitely prefer Allégresse, Luxuriance is a well-composed fresh cologne, nothing groundbreaking, but serves it purpose nicely. While《 Les Rivières 》are unisex, Luxuriance is the most masculine-leaning. Luxuriance opens with dewy green notes, sheer and fresh, becoming increasingly herbal as it develops. It is aromatic and slightly bitter, a palatable, green take on a herbal accord. There is a soft woody-balsamic undertone, rounding out the herbal accord. It becomes slightly nutty as it develops further, thanks to the pistachio, bridging the gap nicely from the opening green notes. It becomes slightly musky as it dries down, with woody notes remaining until final fade. The performance leaves a lot to be desired - sillage is moderate and longevity is weak, fading to nothing in under two hours. For reapplication during warm weather. Less impressive than Allégresse, Luxuriance is a run-of-the-mill aromatic fougère; light, pleasant and fresh, but overpriced for what it is. I like the use of pistachio, but overall, unremarkable. 2.5/5.

I'm a big fan of green fragrances, and I think the Les Rivières line has some of the best performing fresh greens out there. This is probably my least favorite of this line from Cartier, but it's still quite nice. This one definitely has an herbal edge; the geranium and fern are especially present for me. Something about the way those interact with maybe the mastic gives this an almost-there minty profile. I smell all the notes here except for pistachio (somewhat of a quiet note against the rest in the list), and the rosemary is very light. If you hate rosemary, don't be turned off. It's part of the ensemble, not a main character. I am not sure I would call this "woody" even though there is some oak in there. It's just a touch, not enough to call it woody overall. There is, however, a certain aquatic quality to this underneath everything else, sort of a blue base holding up a green scent. 8/10.

I love this smell! When I smelled it, it was like a scent I'd been in search of for a long time. I swear this is how Lucky For You cologne used to smell, but now that smells musky and powdery. This on the other hand is so fresh. However, it doesn't seem to last long. I finally sprayed it on my clothes just to get it to hang around. I was still huffing my shirt two days later. The performance is abysmal but it smells so good I bought a bottle anyways. It's going to be great in the high humid heat of summer.

This scent is very green and fresh. It’s somehow slightly citrusy. It’s also nice to wear on a warm humid day. The performance is not that great though. After 2 hours I can barely smell it anymore. The sillage is not that intimate, but it’s not moderate either. It’s a nice unisex scent, but it’s overpriced imo. 5/10. It’s probably my favorite out of the three from the “Rivières de Cartier” collection. However, the performance is not great enough to justify the price.

Fresh, green but an OK scent. Nothing so special and the scent is very basic and light, yet the best from the 3 released. Just a quick refreshment and a weak performer. Like a EDC. A pass especially for the astronomical price in relation to the scent.

Fizz and fern. This is SO bubbly whoa. It's piney, minty, detergent-y, and fresh. I know this is weird but I smell it and I feel like I am going to burp bubbles. Like smelling it gives me the sensation of having eaten soap. Someone below said loofahs and yes i totally picture those natural loofahs. Like the freshest men's body wash you've ever used. Do I love this? no. Do I hate this? no. I am mostly intrigued tbh. very interesting... still processing.

I want to preface this review by noting that I’m a fan of Mathilde Laurent—both her work with Cartier, and with Guerlain. Her signature style is recognizable; easy to wear, natural smelling perfumes where the ingredients match what you are smelling. Laurent’s work with Cartier is mostly underrated, though not among the fragrance obsessed (I’m talking mainstream audiences). Anyway... onto my review. Interestingly, this newer perfume does not smell like anything else from Laurent. For one, this has persistent stamina due to what I think are materials that smell synthetic. I would’ve never guessed this was a Cartier. I hate to use the dreaded dryer sheet comparison, but that’s exactly what this smells like to me: a citrusy, freshly laundered towel. The notes listed here sure look compelling. I wish I could pick them up but it’s not happening for me. The citrus I’m picking up could be a combination of some notes (geranium and rosemary is that you?), but I would not have guessed it had I not seen the note list. Bottle looks beautiful, and listed notes are some of my favorites. But unfortunately I really dislike it.

This is green in a bottle. It’s such an unusual scent but really interesting. Luxuriance doesn’t evoke any water imagery for me, but rather walking through a lush forest with intensely aromatic undergrowth. It opens with a surprising blast of camphor; I think this must be the lentiscus. There’s also something slightly anise like in this too which follows afterwards. Luxuriance then softens and becomes less abrasive. It’s a very naturalistic, earthy scent that isn’t as delicate and airy as the bottle design and write-up suggests. I recommend sampling this one first as it’s very unique and likely polarizing.

The first time I wore this fragrance, Paul Allen mistook me for this dickhead Marcus Halberstram. Needless to say, it wasn’t off to a great start and the problems only continued from there. The initial hit reminded me of generic citrus soap you’d find in a hotel bathroom or something of that sort. The profile is that of a lemon zest with some herbal and green notes underneath. My biggest objection is that it’s not very interesting and the citrus top note overpowers everything else. There is a moment of sheer panic when I realize the performance drops off a cliff after about the 2nd hour while the fragrance doesn’t seem to evolve at all; it just becomes an ever more subtle version of the same overwhelmingly citrus scent. The sillage is quite intimate and doesn’t radiate too far after the first 30 minutes, you’re left with more of a skin-scent. After the 4th hour, I can hardly detect the fragrance at all. This is a basic zesty citrus fragrance that leaves a lot to be desired. 2.0 Look, I can’t see myself wearing this again after what happened. Maybe I’ll gift the bottle to that loser Luis Carruthers.

Smells like car fluid or car freshener. I realized green scents make me nauseous so that’s just me.

This scent overall just smells like lemon grass. Not a fan.

I have just smelled this at the airport. I was intrigued by first whiff. My newfound appreciation for geranium (cuir and rose of frederic malle), I recognized it here alongside the rest of the notes. However, it felt too watered down, almost characterless. Like a person with a great character that is too shy to be themselves and try to be someone else after 15 min. That's how I felt about it in short. For that price I would've preferred fir it to at least be a little bolder and for the perfumer to have used some of the ingredients with confidence, because otherwise this will dry down to be like any other generic grocery store body mist, soap, or shower gel. Ms. Mathilde Laurent needs a revision on this line.

The best one of the bunch if you ask me. Green, fresh, natural, well blended. You can smell the herbal qualities. Geranium gives it a minty edge. More masculine than the other two. Perfect for summer months. Laurent did a good job on these but considering the outrageous pricing I'd never buy a bottle. All in all, well made fresh, herbal green scent which could be a serious contender had it been reasonably priced. 7/10

very minty and herbal. it gets more citrusy on skin as it dries down. smells like a boujee resort actually. the green-ness can be strong and throw u off at first but it just transforms into tea-like, citrusy summer scent (elizabeth arden green tea) which imo makes it easier to wear. i like it, wouldn’t purchase full bottle tho

Phenomenal, it smells like money. Elegant and smooth. Blended masterful. Smells very fresh, green and nutty- almond like. It has good silage and lasting power. I will buy a bottle after all the compliments I received. The best in this line for male. Cartier rarely disappoints.

I'm going to be honest, this smells like your hands after pulling weeds all day in the garden. Completely unisex however, lasting power is atrocious and for the price, not worth it. The bottle is gorgeous though.

This is... weird. Kinda smells like the herbs you put on chicken before you grill it, with an emphasis on rosemary and smoke. I think the geranium is ruining it for me, too sharp and soapy.

Vomit worthy. It’s a no. I can’t even stand to smell it long enough to decipher what notes are in there because it makes me feel nauseous

Very nice green opening and minty freshness at the top. The drydown however is very mellow and light. I wish it has better projection.

Just want to say, if you like this one, try Sisley l'Eau Rêvé d'Ikar; I find them very similar despite the different notes listed.

I personally wouldn't wear this, reminds me of camping and hiking in the woods. Also reminds me of cleaning solution.

The scent itself is great - green, fresh, sparkling, and very wearable. The performance is abysmal for the price.

Smells like straight up refreshing mint. Very interesting and unusual. Great summery daytime and unisex scent.

Green lemons and rosemary in a bed of lentisque. This is not luxuriance at all.
