Pasha de Cartier Noir Absolu

I'm not finding this one hard to understand or offensive. It's Pasha with the candy floss treatment. The beginning is great with a heavily pollinated honey smell. It's not too smoky. It's Pasha 540. It has a violet & iris powdery smells also. It's good quality. Performs well. Really not so unique or challenging. People wear this sweet stuff all the time so I don't think it's as seasonal either. I'm very happy with it and think it will be really good in October as this smell should really highlight many pleasant associations. Maybe it's challenging for Cartier, but compared to Mont,mancera, this one is pretty safe and designer friendly. It has that niche touch I'd say. But I usually feel that way about Cartier because of quality. This definitely has Cartier DNA mixed with the modern candy floss aroma chemical accord that was already hyped and overplayed by the time this came out. Maybe the smokiness will come along but i don't think they intentionally added the smoke. I think that's just the Cartier dna mixing with the candy floss which also probably what comes off pissy to many here. Think of how some find Declaration filthy smelling.? I think many others are wrong about this one and i don't think it's even close enough to be subjective. But maybe it's me. My nose is often cooked and i like strong funky smells. So maybe I'm the one way off here. It smells more like Black Noir by mancera than anything listed. A much more refined version Imo. I would definitely recommend this one over that. Is it sad for Cartier to do a candy floss Cartier scent? Kind of. Why? I probably just want to scapegoat candy floss. I honestly has hoping for this to be more challenging. I usually love it when brands known for quality push the boundaries and get these spiteful scores and reviews. The smells like list is not serious on this one. Because it's not just the candy floss that people seem to love in other fragrances. This has that posh powdery makeup bag smell also. To combine with that Cartier DNA. Seriously people. Spray this on a blotter, wait 8 hours and tell me it doesn't smell like Cartier. I smelled it right away but coming back to the strip it's much more prominent.

By now this masterpiece is at 3.43 which is great cause most outstanding premium fragrances get poor rating at first, either because newbes do not make a difference between generic ordinary perfumes and high end unusual daring scents, or because they try the frag for one min on the fly at a store and then base the whole experience on it. Sooner or later it will go beyond 4.20 and people will grow up and learn how amazing this one is. Noir Absolu to me is a niche fragrance, the only two things that could make it not a niche offering are the price which is relatively low in comparison to houses such as Kilian, LV, Tom Ford and Amouage, and the fact that it is readily available through most perfume stores. When I applied it for the first time I was greeted with a very unusual and puzzling yet captivating and pretty smell, the smell of ripe/borderline rotten dry fruits !! Like a blast of fermented dates with burnt caramel, something unique and beautiful !! Then it gets woody, smoky, ambery and dark yet remains with that seducing magic combo of fermented dry sweet fruits and burnt sugar/caramel. Not unisex at all, unless you are a She who identifies as a He lol. It's very masculine (even my wife said so) and smells rich, consistent and luxurious. I am really happy we can enjoy such olfactory delight at this time and age. This one is so unique in comparison to all the designer frags I know, not a mainstream boring scent, it's as I said previously a niche perfume for people of taste, charisma and wealth. The longevity is crazy cause I applied one single Psht on my hand and it lasted from the evening till the morning even though I put my hand on water. Full bottle worthy for me. Will make you stand out the crowd of deja smelled scents. It will join my closet and add something fresh and unique to my small collection of Bleu EDP, Gentleman EDP, Armani Eau de nuit, Dior DHI, Bvlgari MIB, Chanel Allure édition blanche, Tom Ford Noir Extreme Parfum, Amouage Journey man... Final verdict :10/10. Cartier means high end luxury with Pasha Noir absolu. Cheers from Morocco. Nb: the bottle it self is a work of art, royal black out color and original design.

I posted a review back in january 2024 as I did a test shortly after the release of this masterpiece, and here I am in 2025 writing a follow up. The juice is amazing. Not for beginners or for lovers of easy mainstream scents. Yep Im going straight to the point. It's unlike anything I sniffed before. Niche perfurmery. Some define niche by the quantity and volume of the produced and sold product. Some take the pricetag and presentation into consideration. And there are others who focus on the scent it self and the components and purity of raw material. It could be all of the above just like it could be one single defining factor. For me Noir Absolu is a niche scent, quite masculine, luxurious, elegant, surprising, radical and unusual. It's got one of the most intriguing openings in the game. It's burnt caramel along with what seems to be fermented dates or dried fruits with charred wood which gives a somehow resinous touch. That "urine" or "piss" smell is quite intriguing and adds an animalistic vibe. Don't get me wrong, urine here is an overstatement, an exaggeration. No one wants to smell like a wet and dirty full of urine cat for sure ;) but I think violet, sugar and lemon gives off that impression. NA has caramel and burnt sugar yet not cloying or sickly sweet nor it is 100% gourmand. Noir Absolu is a winner in my book and I have already went ahead and ordered my bottle. Yes it's full bottle worthy for my taste. It's one of those mysterious and seductive fall/winter juices that elevate you and make you feel excited, different and confident. I like the fact it's unique and different, cause I hate when the perfume becomes victim of its success and all over the place. I love to smell unique, masculine and expensive. I'm positively surprised by this one. It took me a while to try it because of what I heard/read about it but man, this is nostalgic to me. It reminds me of caramel puddings my mom used to make. Not burnt just dark enough to have a certain bittersweet tinge. Yes, this may be a bit daunting for untrained noses, especially if you don't like smoky scents, this is very smoky and toasted, in a toffee kind of way. It's sweet, but not dessert sweet. I understand why this is divisive, it certainly smells more of something from the niche side than designer. It's daring and I love that about it. This is one that if you stick your nose to your skin, it won't be very pleasant but it's all in the sillage. People will be likely be curious and you'll smell different from most. Don't go in expecting Pasha, this is an entirely different beast and perhaps that's why people were caught off guard. Personally, I'm absolutely loving this but it is very much a winter/late fall kind of scent. Don't wear that in the summer unless you want to smell like you threw yourself in a campfire covered in marshmallows! Longevity is fantastic, as expected with this kind of profile. Great projection for the first 3-4 hours (careful in close quarters), decent projection for another 1 or 2 and then sticking closer to skin but this will last you 8+ hours easy. Dressed up, this will make you very sexy and attractive. It's a bit more serious so maybe not for a party but if you like things like Black Phantom or other smoky caramel/coffee fragrances, this should be up your alley. Very nice surprise.

Cartier Elegance: Maintains that "upper class" DNA typical of the maison. It is a perfume that communicates authority and mystery. The burnt sugar note makes it very current, winking at niche perfumery trends. The matte black bottle with knurled details is a stunning piece of design to keep in your collection. The charcoal note may be too "chemical" or bitter for those who prefer clean or citrusy scents. If you love fragrances like By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela or are looking for a darker, sweeter version of the classic Pasha, this is a must buy. It is a perfume for those who want to leave a memory of themselves that is warm, dark and sophisticated.

Elegant. Neither overly smoky nor too sweet. Pasha Noir Absolute smells unusually smooth and complex for a designer release. The smoke is there, but it doesn't come close to things like A Midnight Stroll (Gucci Alchemist's Garden) or Onekh (Bulgari La Gemme). To my nose, the smoke tones down what would otherwise be an overly sweet fragrance and elevates it considerably. I do find the quality similar to the high end releases from Bvlgari and Gucci, however, which I guess makes this fragrance something of a bargain in today's marketplace. I get 6-8 hours of longevity with moderate projection in air conditioned interiors from Pasha Noir Absolute. All-in-all, this scent is a sophisticated way to embrace the current trend for sweetness in a balanced, well-blended composition. Presentation is attractive to my eyes and the atomizer is good. As has been mentioned below, the absurd comparisons and nonsense "reviews" found here shouldn't stop you from at least trying Pasha Noir Absolute if you like currently-fashionable, sweeter designer scents with a bit of complexity and are not put off by a bit of smoke and spice in your fragrances. Personally, I think this Pasha flanker is very nice, indeed. For an older guy like me, it is a well-judged way to indulge in some pleasant sweetness without smelling like I took some of my teenaged son's fragrances. Recommended.

This fragrance feels less like something I wear and more like something I remember. Pasha de Cartier Noir Absolu carries a deep, smoky warmth that immediately takes me back to my childhood. Long car rides to school in my father’s old Caprice, the lingering scent of his cigarettes, the quiet gravity of time spent at his office. It has that same enclosed, ambered atmosphere. Warm, slightly sweet, and faintly melancholic. The composition balances smoky woods with a dark, resinous sweetness that never feels playful. There is weight here. A seriousness that feels lived-in rather than constructed. It reminds me of memory itself. Soft around the edges, but emotionally dense. This is not a crowd-pleasing scent and it does not try to be. It feels intimate, reflective, and deeply personal. More art than accessory. If you appreciate fragrance as an emotional medium rather than a compliment magnet, Noir Absolu is absolutely worth experiencing.

Masterpiece, which is to be expected from Cartier. I bought it for my husband the same moment I realized it was out, since we both have many, many Cartier fumes. Received it next day from Neiman Marcus, husband loved it after testing it on his arm (he was wearing something else already), but I tested it on myself as well, and I have to admit: this is yummy! Whoever is talking of dirty ashtrays needs their nose examined, there is no cigarette smoke here, it is rather incense like. Not cigarette like. If I had to compare it to anything, I would say it smells like tamer, or towned down Black Sugar. It is perfectly unisex, and I'm actually very against women wearing perfumes made for men. That tells a lot. Very, very amazing indeed. Once again, Cartier creates something stunning. I wish performance was better though, but let's let it sit and rest for a while. Hopefully it just needs to age a bit, like a good wine.

The openinig scent is unpleasant as everyone else has reviewed. But I found it so additive that I feel sorry that I didn't bought it with me. The opening is weird. I can't explain the reason. But after the first 5 seconds passed, it becomes interesting. The scent develops to be the most masculine version of Pasha, the smoky Pasha, and it's journey is so fun. I really like it's dry down scent. It projects very well. I think this one can be categorized as some niche perfume from Cartier. Good for collectors. Hard to understand. Can be used in real life if you can wait for 1-2 minutes before meeting anyone else. Try it on both paper and skin. It's very different for each other. It works well on my skin though. However, I have to give all thanks to all reviews for this perfume. It get me so curious that when I travel to any other country than my home country, I have to look for this bottle. Haha.

Most of the positive reviews here give an excellent consensus description of Noir Absolu. I was surprised/shocked at first sniff, as I hadn’t smelled anything like this in years. But what it instantly reminded me of was my dearly departed grandfather, his smell, his workshop in the basement of my grandparent’s brick bungalow, his cigar boxes and throw in a couple of butterscotch candies that my grandmother always had a supply of. I knew immediately that this could be a challenging scent, but I also knew I would have to own it - for nostalgic sake at the very least. I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable and easy the wearing experience was. Quite different than one might think by smelling it on a test strip at the department store. I find myself wearing much more than I expected, particularly during cold Midwest autumns and winters.

Yeah that's niche scent, nothing else. Really good work, i love this type of fragrances. So how it smells, if you buying sample of it only because you hope that's will be pure caramel fragrance or just sweet scent, forget about it, you will probably dislike this fragrance. Personally i don't find the amount and clarity of caramel that people voted for, for me this scent more about smoke and burnt sugar, i smell a note of women's hair, as strange as it sounds, it must be because of the smoke note, because that's what hair smells like after a long straightening or blow drying. Wonderful fragrance, very unique, high quality, and masculine. I would wear it with black or dark green/blue clothes to complement the "noir" vibe, and in my opinion, it would not go well with light clothes.

Just a bit of a PSA - If you’re expecting a campfire / smoke-heavy (birch tar) fragrance in the vein of Le Labo Patchouli 24, L’Atelier des Ors Bois Sikar, or A City on Fire, definitely look elsewhere. I personally wouldn’t even call this one smoky, much less the “smoke bomb” that others here and elsewhere describe. I’m getting some of the dna of the Parfum version - albeit toned way down - along w/ something almost clove-like. And I agree w/ the other reviewer that this mostly reminds me of something like Akro Malt - though certainly not a twin. I think what others are describing as smoke could just as easily be described as a phenolic leather or booze accord. I personally love this one and appreciate that it’s less of a foghorn compared to the Parfum, which i also love.

It took me 1 year and 1 month to spray this perfume on myself and I didn't smell urine for the first half hour :D I sprayed the perfume a minute ago, it smells insanely good, it's woody and smoky, something like an old wooden chair that someone had splashed with warm caramel... :) it smells so adult and serious at the same time and inviting, warm. I smell smoke, sugar, and caramel, I like how the smell plays in my brain, I really can't call this composition gourmet, because the bit of sweetness that is felt here does not remind me of sweets, everything smells like dried caramel on an old, luxurious chair, it smells insanely good. If a woman smelled like this, I would consider it a lack of taste, everything would suit a man very well. I really enjoy the smell.

To be honest, the very first time I smelled it in 2023 end of 2023 I liked it, but I didn’t think I should buy it just because I had similar fragrances smoky dark l, then a year later I bought myself Haltane by Parfums de Marley and for me it’s very similar , today I was passing by Cartier and I went in to smell again the absolute parfum and I really really enjoy it every time I smell it. I’m falling in love more and more, however as I said, it’s super super super similar to Haltane by Parfums de Marley at least for me !!! I would definitely buy this one over Haltane just because this one longer lasting smokier , The dry down is similar and price wise Cartier It’s way much cheaper so for those who like Smoky dark fragrances this definitely a match

Super classy and smooth. It reminds me of a crème brûlée with the smokiness and spun sugar coming together to create this caramelized nature. The woodsy notes and lemon help to keep this from going a totally gourmand route which is what gives it this very upscale nature, something you'd wear to a dinner at a high end french restaurant. The lemon specifically comes out quite a lot on my skin, so I find this clean, sharp undertone which is what sold me. Performance is great, it lasts all day on my skin 10+ hours Projection is very moderate for the first 5 hours. After that it becomes quite subdued but it is still there. I think this works in the fragrances favor as it has a very upper class nature and it doesn't have to be the loudest in the room.

This is a pretty interesting experience, not at all what I expected, but I like it Basically, it is a mix of nice smoke (NOT poop oud), charcoal wood and turbinated sugar. Overall, it makes a vibe of boiled birch leaves and heat, like those typical sauna birch brooms from Eastern Europe. The sweetness is bitter here and it is good, pretty unique the scent is very intense, which is fair because it is the Absolu version, but also there is nothing from the original Pasha Cartier, don't confuse it. I know a VERY similar fragrance with the same boiled birch leaves vibe - "Abduction The Eyes Are Always There" 2018. The scent with very interesting story that fits the scent. It is not bad, just not a blind buy.

I originally was meh on this fragrance and didn't wear it much. It had a cloying sweet animalic scent that I was not appreciating. I recently went back to it, and either my nose matured or the animalics settled. The sweetness has toned down as well, and I can now recognize the gourmand caramel scent with a lovely smoke overtone. This fragrance lasted 8 hrs with only 3 sprays. I will say that similar to many caramel heavy fragrances, smelling it up close, will be a turn off for some folks. Catch it in the air and it's gold. I'm glad that I went back to it.

Idc what anyone says this scent is so sexy Yea if ya listen to TikTok and if you close your eyes and picture baby wipes it’ll smell like baby wipes but to me.....!!!!!! It’s the perfect smokey, sweet and sophisticated scent. The dry down is a nice sweet Smokey burnt sugary profile I love it I can see a woman wearing this but tbh as a man I feel so masculine wearing this I think a woman would feel super feminine wearing this 🤣 Tbh for the price on joma it’s worth the blind buy

if you smell this perfume up close - i think most of you will agree that for the first 15-30 minutes this work of art resembles the smell of rotten wood soaked in urine. that's true. for an inexperienced nose it can scare and repel, don't make this mistake! :) the smell is different, you will smell different from everyone else, guaranteed. don't let a woman smell your neck for the first hour - it will ruin everything :D the magic is in the air... when she walks behind you ;)

This one is great. Smokey and lemony on top with a nice almost gourmand wooden base. It's mature and classy but not in a pretentious way, in a friendly way. Not too much for the nose for these notes either. It smells niche, not like most amber scents, not sure why some people are comparing it to them. I'll have to get a full bottle at some point.
