The labdanum is distinguishable, ambery, slightly musky animalic, sweet, fruity, with a faint leathery accord. The fragrance has a few and noticeable opening to dry down changes, the opening is brief, and during this moment, the fragrance is intense, the notes have very sharp edges, the benzoin has a noticeable honey-like touch, and the musk animalic nuance of the ambrocenide reaches its peak. Towards the dry down, these sharp edges smooth out under the effects of the sandalwood and tonka, the fragrance becomes dry; the balsam fir and patchouli become noticeable with some green grassy and forest touches, and the labdanum surfaces with its ambery, sweet, leathery, and fruity notes. Finally, the initial musky animalic touch takes a step back becoming a projecting note instead of a featured one. Once Pasha De Cartier Parfum has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a strong projection, very sweet, resinous, sandalwood, benzoin, tonka, boozy, liquor, musky, ambrocenide, and labdanum fragrance with green and spicy accords. Pasha de Cartier Parfum is one of my favourites and is a fragrance that I will always keep in my fragrance cabinet. It is an oriental fougere that is a very rich amber, balsamic and woody with a beautiful touch of fresh green fir balsam that breaks the heavy rich ambery and boozy sweetness. It opens up with intense deep ambery and slightly smoky notes that are sweetened up with some boozy notes that remind me of some herbal liquor. The fougere, green note comes from the fir balsam (or fir balsam-like raw materials). There is a slightly creamy sandalwood dryness to it that gives it a nice solid base. I can pick-up all the notes in the description although I don’t get very distinct benzoin, tonka and patchouli notes. What I do get is a distinct ambrocenide, fir balsam, labdanum, liquor and sandalwood notes. I find it suitable for all season apart from summer where it could be too intense and heavy. The performance is above average. Longevity is in the 10-13 hours range (on light skin) while the projection is in the more moderete range at about arms length. It is going to project well for 2-3 hours after that time it starts sitting closer to the skin and will become a bit more intimate but still quite strong. The scent itself is very linear and well blended and will stay practically intact for the duration of its life. It is a very sophisticated, rich, deep, luxurious and very gentlemanly fragrance. As such it is best suited to a sophisticated, well dressed, self assured and polite gentleman. On that note I must say that it may not appeal to people under the age of 25 since it isn’t your typical style of easy going fresh blue fragrance that is very popular these days. If you enjoy fougere fragrances this one strikes the perfect balance of old school barbershop fragrances that has been thoughtfully modernised to not smell dated and too austere. All and all I think this is a lovely fragrance in the (oriental) fougere genre that is modern but still classic, dry, deep and ambery with a touch of sweetness and an air of sophistication. Definitely worth the price. P. S.: My wife likes it as well which is always a good sign. Edit: After trying Drakkar Noir I came to conclude that Pasha de Cartier Parfum is a heavier, richer and sweeter interpretation on the fresh piney fougere scent profile. They both have that fir balsam / pine green freshness that is distinctly masculine and sophisticated.

Fragrance Journal Entry #01 Pasha de Cartier Parfum The Sunday Barbershop Pasha de Cartier Parfum holds a special place in my collection because it was one of my very first fragrances and, somewhat boldly, a blind buy. At the time I was searching for what I imagined as my “Sunday fragrance.” Something that felt like a classic barbershop experience. Clean, put together, but relaxed and effortless. The opening is bold. On the first spray you are met with a rich wave of spicy amber and a subtle boozy warmth. I personally love this introduction, though I can easily see how it might feel a bit strong or harsh for some. Fortunately, the fragrance quickly settles into itself. As it dries down, the sharper spices soften and blend into a smoother warmth. The boozy character becomes more rounded and comfortable, and I suspect the tonka bean is what introduces that creamy softness that ties everything together. What emerges is a beautifully modern interpretation of the classic barbershop style. You get the structure of a clean fougère with aromatic spices, a gentle warmth from the amber, and a soft almost powdery quality that gives the fragrance a relaxed elegance without ever feeling dusty or dated. What I find most interesting about Pasha de Cartier Parfum is the image it evokes. When I smell this fragrance I picture someone like a history professor. The kind of person who has lived a full and interesting life and now spends his time sharing stories, ideas, and wisdom with others. It carries a calm confidence and a quiet sophistication. Many people say you should be over thirty to wear this fragrance. I disagree. If you have the confidence and the composure to wear something classic, Pasha works at any age. In the end this is a fragrance about presence rather than youth. It feels timeless, thoughtful, and comfortably refined.

Pasha de Cartier. I can't truly drscribe the scent, but I'll try. This beast starts with a blast of sweet booze. It's smoky, smooth and polished. After a while the sandlewood, benzoin and patch kick in. The drydown( another 10 mins) is sweet, boozy and slightly animalic. It's not truly stinky but there's something dirthy and unclean- reminscent of sloght body odour. That's about it. The frag is rather linear- the end result is a combo of balsam fir, liquoer, benzoin, patchouli and sandlewood. Everything else is in the background. It never turns cloyong or overly heavy though. Father linear as it doesn't truly change in time I see this as a cold weather scent- autumn(perfect),winter and early, colder spring days. This gets too heavy in high heat and combined with sweat it turns super stinky and amps up the animalic qualities. This is masculine- heavy, boozy, slightly sweet. A woman in her 40es can probably pull it off. I see it as a date night scent/casual as it has depth, some sweetness and playfulness. I don't think that this is office appropriate. In conclusion- classy, boozy, slightly sweet, but not in a gourmond way. Smooth, properly blended with no sharp edges. Great longevity, sits close to the skin however( doesn't leave a trail and is pretty timid in terms of projection). Rather masculine, cold weather scent, better for dressed up occasions. Date night appropriate, bussiness meetings as well. Can be found for a bargain online. Would repurchase, but only when ot's heavily discounted. This doesn't deserve full prive, simply because of projection issues imo. 7.5/10 a gem among designers

Non-confrontational in the best of ways. I have yet to smell Pasha EDT but I have a rough impression of what it may smell like, given that I'm familiar with Safari and so on. I know that the relationship between Pasha EDT and the EDP is more complicated (or tangential?) than being one of straight concentration, but more than that, though plenty strong enough, this perhaps does not have quite the killer punch that some may expect from it as an EDP. It's not particularly lacking anything either; it's just that anyone expecting this to be a clone of Sex Panther may find its sophistication disappointing. It doesn't smell like Bentley for Men Intense but it does share some characteristics with it (mainly booziness and a kind of brown-sugary sweetness). Well, as solid as BfMI is, I find it a little underwhelming or straightforward (unsophisticated?) or something. That is not the case with this Pasha. It is cosy, inviting and sweet from the benzoin etc.--it reminds me of caramel, gingerbread or something else brown, edible and moreish--but the fir note in particular brings a kind of balance that I like. This is definitely a dressy fragrance for the cooler months but for me it is also more about subtly (though not weakly) conveying a sense of (quiet) confidence than, as is the case with many fragrances more like the Bentley, grabbing the mic at someone else's gig and yelling, "Hey, everybody--look at me! I need you to see how confident I am!" Good stuff.

intense, robust, slightly dark, with a slightly caramelized sweetness, and deep down it has a sensation of lavender that gives it a certain freshness and cleans our the composition a little and that reminds you of the original pasha, it has a certain evolution: initially it is a woody resinous, warm spicy, with a very rich alcoholic-caramel note (it may remind you a little of some fragrances like stronger with you, one million elixir or precious oud by mancera) only that pasha is much deeper, darker and more elegant, After that boozy aspect fades away, it keeps for a couple more hours with that very woody tonka bean sweetness (it can almost remind you of certain OUD accords, only very slight in the background) curiously they mention a note called ambrocenide that If you look for info on the internet, it is a molecule that is used in the base notes of perfumes to increase its intensity, depth, duration and its aroma is woody, sweet resinous that is used for synthetic oud accords..... now In the end you are left with that slightly sweet, resinous, very polished and refined woody sensation. Its fixation on the skin is longer than 10 hours and it has 1 hour and a half of strong intensity (sillage) and afterwards it remains a little close to the skin but always noticeable for at least 5 more hours

This is excellent. I've never put my nose to the original Pasha, but I've smelled fragrances that are compared to it frequently, such as YSL's Jazz for example. Pasha Parfum is most likely just a warmer, ambery version of the original, it has that same exact warm amber/booze note that two other fragrances in my collection have: Drakkar Intense and Aramis Special Blend, and both of those are basically Drakkar Noir+amber/booze and Aramis+amber/booze, and I think that's becoming something of a trend perhaps in light of the popularity of other sweet fragrances becoming more popular, like Stronger With You. Anyways, this is fantastic. It's dense, right in the opening you get the warm spices, vanilla, and lots of anise. My first couple of test wearings on my arm the anise faded quickly, but today it seems like the anise is really hanging in there and staying prominent which I like because I'm a huge fan of anise. I don't know what it is, but anise makes every fragrance that I've smelled it in seem so much more well rounded. That anise note makes it seem boozy too, anise of course is the note in licorice and it's also a similar note to what you would get in absinthe or wormwood, and that's definitely how it comes off and I'm loving it.

I don't believe you can appreciate this fragrance until you have worn it at least three times. There are lots of things happening, many that are not in the official notes. Opens with a sweet boozy accord, soon adding amber, a healthy dose of cinnamon and sandalwood, balsam in the line of Red for Man, a copa element, and mint. It is a challenging combination of warm, sweet, woody and cool elements, and the first time or two, your nose and brain may identify it as a bit weird, and therefore not to your liking. But as with wine, sometimes the things that don't work for you the first time become your favorite things eventually. So it is with Pasha Parfum. Edit 1: I wore this after a few months' hiatus, 7 sprays, and it was not a good ride. Cloying, sweet, gourmandy, syrupy. Why did I like this? Edit 2: Tried again after more time, using only 2 sprays. As with LADDM, dosage is critical with this one. 2 sprays last forever, and allows your body chemistry to alter this instead of obliterating your body chemistry completely as 7 sprays did. At two sprays, this bottle will last my lifetime, and makes this pretty dang affordable for its quality.

I know it's not a classic fougére scent with its sweet vanillic accords, but this is the best aromatic fougére fragrance I have ever come across. The opening is stunning, the vanilla, balsam fir and benzoin drying down to give way to the creamy sandalwood base is something that grabs you and won't let go. I love wearing this one anytime during the year except for the summer heat, but if you're spending most of your time in places with AC you can even wear it during summertime, just go lighter on the spray count. It's very masculine, perfect for both formal and casual occasions, even for date nights. The performance is good, on my skin it lasts 7-8 hours with a strong projection in the first 2 hours, then the next 3-4 hours keep you in a closer proximity scent bubble. Be careful with overspraying as it can become cloying if applied too heavily. This one punches well above its weight in terms of value for the price, at discounters you can grab a 100 ml bottle for around 90 EUR and it smells much more expensive, it can easily give more expensive designers like Tom Ford and Chanel a run for their money.

Cartier stands out in the best possible way among the modern designers, and it's because of stunning releases like this. A genuine masterpiece and a must-have. You can find bottles of this for under $100 online, and I get mine from a source who sells me them for $50... I've spent more on poor clones and meh generics than I do on this 10/10 diamond of a fragrance. I can't say much that hasn't already been said by many others in this review section - it's a modern classic with heady amber, boozy patchouli and noticeably built on the (also fantastic) fougère pillars of the original EDT. Words cannot do this fragrance justice. If you're a man and you want to smell like one, go get a bottle and thank us reviewers here later. This stuff is heavenly. If it ends up scratching an itch or filling a fragrant void for you, I'd also suggest grabbing Declaration d'Un Soir + L'Envol EDP or EDT for the summer and Declaration Parfum for the hell of it. I've heard great things about Must Parfum too. Cartier is doing fantastic things and is definitely my favorite designer at the moment.

After giving it some time, I can confidently say this is my favorite sandalwood fragrance of all time. I’ve tried a ridiculous number of fragrances, and this stands out as one of the most beautiful woody scents I’ve ever come across. I usually gravitate toward lighter, floral, and powdery compositions. This is the complete opposite, and I still absolutely love it. The liquor accord is stunning and perfectly blended into the charismatic Indian sandalwood. Benzoin adds this rich, dark warmth that’s addictive without being overwhelming. Everything here feels expensive, deep, and thoughtfully crafted. Mathilde Laurent knocked it out of the park. This and Declaration d’Un Soir (same perfumer) are my two favorites from Cartier, and both have a permanent place in my top 50 fragrances of all time. There’s truly nothing else like this; no alternative, no dupe, no close second. The quality and character are unmatched. I purchased this as my wedding scent. I loved Cartier jewelry (mainly their watches) so I figured I’d grab a sample. At first, I was a little bit “meh” on it when I did a small spritz on 1 wrist. I did another test and applied it rather liberally and it WOKE UP. I could go on about how it smells, but most of the other reviews here are pretty accurate, so I’m not gonna rehash. Anyways, this stuff lasts FRICKIN FOREVER. I put some on today at ~1:30pm and it lasted until I got home after another persons wedding at around 12:30am. Crazy performance, especially with wearing layers and moving around a lot. Anyway, I got this for my wedding scent because it’s truly unique, but not something I’d call “daring”. It is so clearly its own thing. Classy, masculine without being “I AM WEARING A COLOGNE”, But also sophisticated. I wouldn’t wear this on the regular, but it excels on special occasions when you want to dress up and present confidently. Also, $168 USD for a 100ml (that is refillable! $184 for a 200ml refill) is insane value for such a high quality fragrance.

When I went to the store on my birthday to look for my first signature fragrance to buy. I asked for a masculine fragrance, they recommended some to me, but then I saw this one from "Cartier" and then I knew it, like love on first smell, this is forever my favorite signature fragrance. Real masculine smell and oh it is good. The ones in my life that really know me, also know, that this is my fragrance. Love it, always, forever. Spray this on your skin and clothes and the smell lasts forever. Just wow, I love every part of this. They really did an excellent job on this one, sophisticated and well put together in every way. My dad died from cancer 10 years ago, I will always miss him and love him and when I smelled this fragrance the first time, I just knew that this would also be the fragrance he could wear and love as well. So it's even spiritual for me, it really means that much to me. For me it's my #1 signature fragrance, top notch. This fragrance: Cartier "Pasha de Cartier" is what really woke up the love for fragrances within me.

I was lucky to come across this early on. Purchased it blind within the first 12 months of release. I wore it frequently for 2-3 seasons, from late Autumn thru early Spring, mostly for work, and enjoyed it immensely for it's quality, character, and longevity. Fantastic value when I think of it. I've today returned to it after c. 2 years and very pleased to see that I still enjoy it, after sampling so many other frags since and some 8-1/2 hours after applying. The opening struck me as 'spicy and boozy melted butter', moving eventually through a heart where the fir becomes more prominent and now firmly present in a dry down of (slight) powdery woods, amber and tonka bean tinged with fir and patchouli (I think?). Not too sweet and full of charm. Great stuff. Not in my wardrobe 15 given I enjoy others more at this time of year (season's too short), but something I suspect that I'll always return to. At the 10-11 hour mark the creamy booziness returned for an encore, under my shirt, as the rest began to fade :)

Intoxicatingly smooth, polished and well done designer fragrance. FB arrived yesterday. Two sprays last evening on inner elbow. After the 15-30 minute balsam fir ((not the same as pine), opening, the almost spicy moves directly to the background and the rest of the refined notes appear. I feel as if each note has been polished with a fine cloth until each note creates a refined masculinity in a subtly alluring maybe even slightly seductive way. Won’t obnoxiously punch anyone in the olfactory senses. Nothing is overbearing. The booziness stays there for over an hour maybe longer and is also subtly intoxicating. All the other notes are there throughout yet polished smooth. Somewhat complex for a designer frag. The Indonesian patch is even slightly seductive and intoxicating with a pleasant earthiness in the dry down. I disliked the strong 60’s style singular strong patchouli frags and this isn’t it. She snuggled her nose inside my elbow several times last night.

After owning (and enjoying) the original Pasha for a few years, I was excited to finally try the new Parfum. Sometimes “updated” flankers of classic fragrances, whether they be Parfum, EDP, Intense, Extreme, etc. completely change the scent profile of the original. I love what Cartier has done here- this is absolutely faithful to the character of Pasha EDT. It is updated, if you will, with the booze and benzoin, but the continuity is unbroken. Some may find it a little too faithful to the original DNA and think it too old fashioned, but I find it gives the fragrance a maturity that thankfully keeps the modern obsession with indiscernible sweet ambroxan bombs at bay. Yes, I think you must enjoy the OG to love this one, but it remains a great release from a great house. A true flanker, a reimagining of an iconic fragrance that keeps the Pasha brand relevant without destroying its identity.

Few fragrances --- vanishingly few --- are able to shake me out of the olfactory doldrums that is mainstream modern perfumery. This one does. It is resolutely Pasha, but with what appears to be a well-considered and restrained modern twist, retaining some of the fresh, minty spiciness, but wrapped in a rich coat of boozy, resinous warmth. It isn't an oppressive warmth, though, thanks ostensibly to the structural nod to Pasha EDT. Some days I get a slight ashtray accord - in the best possible way, weaving subtly through the liquor and resins. Other times I get more of a cooling impression that plays around with patchouli, but still boozy and resinous. Magnificent. This is a masterpiece. Granted, it isn't perfection - nothing really is. But if this imperfect gem can make me weak, make me swoon like this, then perfection is probably too dangerous to play with; let's mind the stairs, really.

Very sexy fragrance. I bought this fragrance as a blind buy, and i was so pleased when i smelled it for the first time. The opening starts with some booziness, woods, and amber. This is very mature, gentlemanly, and special version of Pasha de Cartier. To me, This is an addicting fragrance, most definitely for the winter and fall.
