Carven le parfum opens as a bright, sweet floralfruity.apricot,litchi and mandarin blossom are definitely there.as time passes it's juicy sweetness becomes milder and it becomes more floral.flowers are so soft,delicate,fresh and natural that make me think of spring.sweetpea,mandarin blossom and hyacinth standout the most(I love them all and unfortunately they're rather rare in perfumes) but I can see traces of all the other listed flower notes in this bouquet In my country,Iran,our new year begins with the first day of spring and in our new year ceremony,one of the things that we decorate our homes and tables with them,are hyacinth flowers.hyacinth shines through this scent so beautifully that I feel I'm right in the first day of spring which we call norooz.it makes me smile and remember my sweetest memories.but this is not the only reason that I wanted Carven le parfum since I tried it for the first time months ago.the other floral fragrance which I adore is Estee lauder modern muse,although they don't smell similar they have similar style.both of them are crisp,clean,fresh and natural floral scents,feminine,simple,charming and elegant at the same time.florals stay fresh,gentle and alluring all through it's development but they also become warm,deep and even more sensual in base.there's no musk in it's pyramid but to my nose it's drydown is all about musky florals wrapped in subtle patchouli.just like musk and patchouli in modern muse Everything is in it's right place in Carven le parfum and it's oh so gorgeous.if you smell it without paying enough attention,you may this is a generic inoffensive and boring crowdpleaser but if you let it to play it's mesmerizing Symphony on your skin you may be hooked by it's beauty and balance.if you find it's sweet fruityfloral opening very girly,let it settle down to it's deep,clean ladylike drydown.I can get what reviewers mean by calling it French.it's so effortless pretty,chic without being showy and I agree about that it's a modern classic.it's a floral,a floralwoodymusk and a chyprefloral at the same time.I'm recently looking for such fumes like EL modern muse,cartier la panther legere,JHAG lady vengeance..I don't agree that drydown is masculline,at least not on me.sandalwood(which is very much like a creamy soap here)and patchouli are subtle here and don't appear as rough,dirty or male-ish.they just give it this refined,sophisticated vibe while being youthful... First I think it is very much like Elie Saab le parfum with some fruits.it doesn't smell like Chanel coco mademoiselle but it is similar and I think it has to be as famous and popular as mademoiselle.more even.this is a great perfume.it's lovely.very feminine.very classy.it looks pretty and nice and young and clean.good for everyday perfume or work.but it's also very classy.sexy.something classic and strong in it.so it's good for nights and dates too.it's sweet but not like candy.fresh but not too much.First I can smell very strong flowers and fruits(apricot and orange)and honey.then it's softer.more fresh.soft floers.clean.a little musky.then there's patchouli and creamy woody notes.it's deep.sexy.this is a very interesting perfume which is lovely and easy too.good for all ages like mademoiselle but more better for young ladies (25 to 45)good for all year but better spring.good for always.even bride perfume or signature perfume.very good longevity.8 hours.big sillage at first then moderate 10/10 یک عطر عالی و همه چیز تمام.اول که بوش کردم فکر کردم شبیه الیه صعب له پغفوم هست اما بعد حس کردم شبیه شنل مادمازل هست.بوی غطر شبیه شنل مادمازل نیست اما ذاتش شبیه هست و حقش هست همانقدر معروف بشه.عطری دوست داشتنی،زنانه،خیلی خیلی باکلاس و شیک،تمیز،خیلی پراستفاده و همه پسند و خوشبو.من اولش بوی قوی گلهای مختلف و میوه عا،زردآلو و پرتقال و عسل حس می کنم.بعد ملایم تر و باطراوت و تمیز میشه و گلهای لطیف و کمی مشک حس می کنم.بعد عمیق و سکسی و جذاب میشه و نعناهندی و نت های چوبیه خامه ای حس می کنم.عطر تمیز و زیبا و لطیفی هست برای همین برای روزانه و سرکار خوب هست.اما سکسی و شیک و لوند هم هست برای همین برای شب و دیت هم خوب هست.حتی برای عطر عروس و عطر امضا هم خوب ماندگاری خیلی خیلی خوب داره.عشت ساعت.پخش قوی اولش.این عطر عطر بانوی شیک فرانسوی هست.برای همه سن ها خوبه اما ۲۵ تا ۴۵ بهتر ۱۰/۱۰

I received this quite underrated gem as a gift from a beloved friend yesterday and I am over the moon now. This review is partly descriptive and largely thankful. Such a blessed chance brought it to me! I met Carven Le parfum last spring. My husband brought me from abroad a perfume which cannot be easily found in my country and he was gifted a 5 ml. sample of Carven in the store. From the very beginning I was more intrigued by the sample rather than the bottle I had been longing for ages before. That was such a strong like that I used it to the last drop and started looking for the perfume itself. Unfortunately neither in stores nor on websites I could put my hand on it. Imagine my surprise when somehow out of the blue a friend of mine who is a perfume lover like me and prominent and educated nose, came across a bottle of this in a large perfumery chain in her city. Carven le parfum is one of the most elegant scents in my collection. It is perfectly blended,modern, young, vibrant and so beautifully moist. The trail it leaves is exquisitely posh and attractive. It ́s smoothly faceted, subtly feminine and possesses incredible longevity. Nothing vulgar or noisy though . On the contrary it suggests refinement and inner tactfulness. It is so French in the best sense: I can see how Montmartre is imbibing a cool drizzle in early spring, wet classy raincoats and berets over smooth dark bobs can be spotted in the streets, the air is fresh and the summer is around the corner. Lovely deep and fresh at the same time scent which is worth a try!( P.S. I respect Kurkdjian's approach to the modern perfumery as a whole, yet this is by far the only one that perfectly suits my taste.)

This was a blind buy for me, I got my hands on a mini edp bottle and thought I'd give it a try. I applied it with no expectations what so ever, but all I had to do was sniff it once to fall in love with it. This is so super feminine, fresh, sweet, young, elegant - all at once. Definitely very gentle, it's soft and lovely but still has some personality to it with (imo) perfectly blended fruity-floral tones. It's both young and classy at the same time and makes me feel sophisticated enough to belong in Paris on a sunny spring day. No bitterness, sourness or soapiness on my skin, nor is it headache-inducing (which I sometimes find other white florals to be). It's just all around delicate, round, but at the same time sweet and refreshing. It's easy to wear and not too teeny over-the-top sweet. It seems to last around 5 hours on me, which isn't too bad. I'll definitely be purchasing a full size. On my skin it opens with a hint of juicy freshness, almost citrus - must be the hyacinth and mandarin blossom. Then it settles into the sweeter notes of apricot and sweet pea before drying down to a soft, romantic jasmine. The floral notes keep it soft and everything is so beautifully blended and incorporated into each other. I can't stop smelling my wrist.

Sweet pea is dominant in this one, making it very sweet indeed, with a stewed apricot that brings out the osmanthus-fueled apricot blossom note. Sweety sweet, but with no caramel, honey or sugar, spun or not. This is a floral, not gourmand sweetness, enhanced by a juicy mandarin orange, and a sweet orange blossom note. Although described as a white floral, the ylang-ylang, hyacinth and sweet pea combine to make this a more complex floral: sweet, but fresh, with a green sparkle and shine. As others note, very classically French, feminine, and polished. Good for professional settings, but easily lasts until the evening if you go out after work. Good longevity and projection on me. It has a cashmere shawl feeling, very soft and enveloping. The drydown is smooth and creamy, with a soft, beautiful sandalwood, and a subtle touch of patchouli. The drydown feels like suede, with a leathery note I suspect is supported by the hyacinth. Still sweet and floral, though: some ten hours later and I smell sweet pea. Uncanny; now with a warm vanilla on drydown, and the sweetpea, a candied gourmand floral note. This is one of those I can't apply too close to my nose, or I am overcome, it is so strong and sweet.

I don't know why everyone is hating on this fragrance. I have gotten myself so deep into fragrances that I can't even figure out if I'm wearing it out of respect or just because I like it. I've paid so much attention to notes and reviews... when it came time to find one to wear to my brother's wedding, I found myself wondering what everyone in the wedding party would be okay with. And I was at a loss. Narciso? Too musky. Ford? Too boozy. Coco? Far too noisy... So I started fresh. I closed my eyes and the sales associate showed me this one and one from Hermes and I found myself obsessively sniffing this one and bought a roller ball of it. Sure it's not grand and it does't have leather or tires or snake venom or any other exciting notes to make it stand out. But sometimes, I want a scent that doesn't wear me, that won't offend anyone, and that works for any occasion. This one is blended beautifully, it wears all day, and it's just plain nice. I just adore it. It makes me smile.

I tried this today (on a strip, not skin) only because the bottle and box seemed unique, elegant and minimal. It's very feminine, very floral, away from all the new -femenine but unisex in nature- scents that come out. Woody/oud/amber are becoming the new hype for women after the sweet perfumes era, yet this is a very nice scent, nothing exceptional about it, it might not turn heads, it's (for me) the perfect scent for a woman that is looking for a classic feminine floral perfume with a modern touch, it reminds me of Terr D'Hermes Parfum for men, not in scent but in the direction, TDH Parfum is a classic woody/Fougere with a modern touch, Carven Le Parfum is the same, a classic feminine floral scent with a modern kick. I keep smelling the strip and i have this memory that it reminds of a scent, can't recall it, but probably it's a scent my Mom used to use maybe back in the days... This is just beautiful.

A beautiful french-feeling, alluring delicate yet rich bouquet of gorgeous florals, fruit, wood and a slight touch of the orient. To me, every note is SO perfect, and SO perfectly balanced with every other note, that it is really beyond description. Such a charming, ladylike, gentle, fresh, sweet and subtle fragrance. I adore it. It is my signature scent - after 2 days of wearing it. It is divine. I feel so good in it. It doesn't do anything adverse to me; a lot of perfumes do, but not this one. I can wear as much as I like (and I do like spraying it all over me), and only feel good. It's cool, and softly warm, and envelopes me all day in a soft, sensuous aroma, that never leaves me. It is my best friend. I feel like we're in love with each other. I salute Carven, and Francis Kurkdjian for the geniuses they are, in creating such a masterpiece. Thank you. It is a heavenly perfume.

I smelled this in magazines around when it first came out (2013?) and always coveted the bottle, which is stunning and quite hefty. Blind bought it after briefly considering a Chloe flanker and seeing this pop up in the recommendations. Oddly enough, this is precisely what I wanted Chloe Nomade to smell like (sampled it, was disappointed). I can't say I enjoy patchouli but I really like how it's used here. Like others have mentioned, on first blast, it smells like a lychee soaked in honey - sweet, a tinge cold. It stays this way on clothes for the first half hour, but on my skin it turns floral in seconds. In particular, the ylang-ylang and patchouli emerge above everything else. It's not so much sweet as it is bright - just enough to tickle the nose. It's powdery and clean, but a touch earthy, too. So happy to have stumbled upon it again!

I just rediscovered this beauty today! I bought it in 2016 and I didn’t think too much of it at that time. My daughter liked it, so I gave it to her. Today, I was searching online for a fragrance with sweetpea and this one came up, so I decided to try it on again, since my daughter still has it. Now I really love this fragrance! I can smell the sweetpea and hyacinth. It is perfectly balanced so that the sweetpea doesn’t come off too sweet. I am blown away that I didn’t like this back when I initially purchased it, but that goes to show how tastes in fragrances can evolve over time. Now I’m going to try to get my hands on a bottle of this stuff. It’s beautiful!

Classic, elegant, and clean, but not too basic. LeParfum has a fruity sweetness at its opening, and transitions into an almost fully floral scent over time. Soap-haters beware: it is a little bit soapy in a way that reminds me of those fancy molded hand soaps, but 1) that's because the soaps are usually spring flower scented, and 2) I like those too! This one is very pleasant. It lasts most of the day, and is a little strong at the start, but not over the top. I'll add that I wore in the warmer part of autumn and haven't reached for it since the freezing temperatures hit, but now martaynd's review has me curious.

Beautiful sweet pea. This gorgeous vine grew in my childhood garden at home, and this perfume is very very close to that beautiful fresh sweet, feminine scent. It's such a lovely perfume, Carven Le Parfum - soft and gentle, lady-like, feminine, mature, elegant. All the notes seem to me to be blended perfectly, and I feel as if I'm in the lovely sweet garden, with all the gentle pretty flowers wafting and waving in the slight breeze, on a lovely spring day. It's a calm perfume, sweet and alluring. It has lasted all day on me, and the sillage is soft but does carry a few feet. Very beautiful.

I wasn't impressed with the first whiff out of the bottle but gave it a go anyway in the middle of a hot summer afternoon. I still wasn't impressed so I sat on testing it again for a good week. I then decided to spray some on one cool morning, and boy did that make all the difference! It's definitely one of those frags that require time and patience to bloom. It's bright, sharp and green at opening, then it turns a soft and slightly musky floral during drydown. For whatever reason, it reminds me of Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Very French and chic.

The similarities to Elie Saab Le Parfum are uncanny, from the shape of the bottle to the name to the same perfumer to the juice... at first spray, Carven Le Parfum is a bouquet of jasmine and hyacinth with a sour twist. The sour note turns sweet and this perfume dries down to a very similar heavy, honeyed orange flower/jasmine combination as Elie Saab. Out of the two I prefer ES, but I do like the playful sour twist of this one. Sillage is good and lasting power is moderate, maybe 4-5 hours max.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite fragrances. It opens up with a burst of juicy mandarin, reminiscent of Miss Dior (new). The osmanthus and other flowers keep it softer and a bit more subdued, though. The fruity floral feminity is layered over a more masculine base - what seems like freshly applied men's deoderant (which is a comfort scent to me). The masculine and feminine blend together in the drydown for a more unisex scent - fresh and slightly fruity and woody. Love it.

My forever favorite designer fragrance that doesn't have that "designer dna". It's the ultimate clean girl scent that's floral, musky and not too sweet. Before I really got into fragrances and started changing up scents everyday it was the one scent that ALWAYS got me compliments. I stupidly gatekept because it was my signature scent. It puzzles me that no one knows/talks about it..i need it to go viral so it doesn't get discontinued!

This is the second Carven I bought for spring- it's beautiful, uncomplicated and always puts a smile on my face. I definitely get the apricot and osmanthus. Florals work for me only when I get some fruity notes so this is perfect. Francis Kurkdjian seems to like to add a patchouli/woody base to his florals which makes them very appealing to me. It's super inexpensive and high quality. Great for every day.

Blind buy based on the notes. I love hyacinths (in my garden) so I thought I'd give this baby a try... I'm so glad I did! I love it! Beautiful, well blended and feminine. I love white flowers and patchouli too, so this one is right up my alley. Just elegant, classy and pretty. Safe and at the same time with a touch of sandalwood that makes it smell a little Oriental and exotic.

It's not a particularly exciting perfume, nor is it unique by any means, but it is a nicely done fruity white floral. I was handed a card with some sprayed on as I walked out of Saks, and it smelled so nice that I decided to turn around and walk back in to find out what it was. It would be a nice everyday scent: not too loud, no insane sillage, pretty and unobtrusive.

A most beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and feminine perfume. Totally sublime. Lasts all day, has very nice arms length sillage, and keeps every note fresh and vibrant right throughout. Lovely lovely LOVELY!!! Very uplifting and charming. It's one of my favourite perfumes of all time. It always makes me feel gorgeous.

Carven le Parfum so feminine, smooth and warm like a flowing light. Marvellous scent. Ripe velvety apricot, tangerine with osmanthus blossom and ylang-ylang sounds amazing -volumetric and iridescent. And hyacinth and sweet peas turn this fragrance into the most usual perfection and nothing more imho.

Sweetly musky; opens with plump apricot and musky florals, gets woodier as it dries but also noticeably more peachy, like dried peach tea. Perfect for warm weather, very pretty with a noticeably strong presence. Projects well above arms length for the first 3 hrs, settles down.

Heavenly! Can't stop inhaling this glorious scent. Longevity is 12 plus hours. During those hours, it evolves into a soft powdery musky aroma. Yet it still remains fresh - the hyacinth is glorious!Very feminine and also a bit flirty and cheeky. Thank you, Carven - top quality!

What a beautiful perfume! The jasmine in this perfume is truly authentic. A perfume from late afternoon to evening, very French and as that wow factor. Long lasting and strong, a little goes a long way. well done Carven, one of the best perfumes to be released this year.

I usually like citrus based perfumes but somehow, this caught me even though it is so different from what I would usually wear. I'm not sure what it is but it seems like it is what I should smell when I travel, like very cosmopolitan. I think it's best for winter wear.

This fragrance smells the exact way biting into a juicy lychee tastes. Imagine a balmy day as your teeth sink into the delectable fleshy pink lychee at the height of sweet lychee season. That is the exact way this fragrance smells. It made the back of my mouth water.

Floral-woody-musk without musk ?? :) The beautiful scent. Round, juicy, elegant. I plan the purchase 30ml I will have on holidays :) In spite that it has fruit-notes and the sweet pea this has arguments a one note male if vetiver ? , but beautifully this goes out. :)

Really enjoyed sampling this. Fresh green fruity opening, nice dry down, lasted about 3 hrs on me and about 5 hours on my shirt.Most perfumes do not last long on me, so this was actually pretty good performance. Sillage was moderate.

This is one of .you favourite fragrances! So nicely blended,I can smell the sweet peas,it's just beautiful. And hits that high note that gives me total satisfaction- creamy,sweet, floral,fruity,sensual- it has it all!!!!

Very elegant fragrance. I agree with another Fragrantican who said that the perfume had a prominent lychee (litchi) note.

So elegant, so French. Not elderly lady French, but young French. Sophisticated with youthful vigour and accessibility.

Sweet??? On my skin it is refreshingly sour. Elegant and youthful. Very french, clever, clean and piquant.

I'm in two minds about this perfume. On the one hand, I do love how my skin smells by the end of the day. What is left after 12 hours or so of wearing is a soft, clean, sweet and soapy sandalwood. The kind of scent that invites you to cuddle up close to the one wearing it, just smelling it happily. If it smelled like this the whole day, it would be a given in my perfume collection, but there is sadly an "on the other hand". The issue I have with this perfume is that it opens up with a punch in your face clash of strong, sweet but still slightly sour flowers that individually are quite lovely in their own right but together bicker for attention trying to be sweeter and louder than the next, giving you and everyone around you for the hour or so it takes the flowers to settle their disagreement a headache. Once the burst of loud flowers settle, they do so quite nicely on my skin. There is jasmine, a hint of something slightly sweeter and younger that must be the sweetpeas and just a trace of what my nose insists is apricot and sandalwood. Once the perfume reaches this stage it is lovely. It is everything I wish for in a modern daytime perfume. Clean and sweet, definitely young but grown up at the same time. To summarise, a very nice, young, modern and sweet floral which would be a wonderful everyday scent if it was not for the fact that a single spray is enough to induce headaches in a whole bus until the flowers have settled down a bit.

Jan. 2018 My bottle is from launch. I reached for it numerous times in warmer weather months and kept putting it back. Something about the woodsiness didn’t jive with the season. Thought maybe I had made a mistake purchase. I liked it initially, but wouldn’t find a way to work it into a real life fragrance wardrobe. We are experiencing record cold in the Midwest right now. And I reached for LC on a whim. Oooo la la!!! It’s blooming, and how!! The woods aren’t as pronounced as the fruity fresh floral notes now. Temperature effects fragrance tremendously and now I’m reminded why I was attracted to this fragrance to begin with. It is very odd. The fragrance smells in winter the way it should in the summer. Sooooo, it’s sensorially confusing. I smell this now and see light airy dresses and gleaming sun. Not cashmere sweaters, puffer coats and steaming mugs of tea or coffee. I guess I’ll choose to wear it in the winter when I want a flash of spring. I’m also gonna try a combo with my Shalimar Initial and see if it doesn’t help to “winter up” my LC. It smells like spring/summer, but only if I wear it in winter months. Skip fall all together, woods are still too sharp. NOTE: Before you give up on your fragrance, experiment with it. Change up the time of day, or season you would wear it. Try combining it with another fragrance in your collection. Fragrance is adventure and personal. Experi-ence it!

I've unexpectedly found myself lemming at least a small rollerball of this. Today, I tried my sample, determined to use it up in a day and never think about Carven Le Perfum again - because the first time I used it, I found it to be a pretty boring white floral. But there's something incredibly refreshing about this, and I found myself reaching for the little sample again and again. It is all the adjectives that people have been using to describe it, words that made me shy away from wanting to like it: fresh, floral, young, feminine, elegant. It's a very clean musk, something strongly reminiscent of freshly shampooed hair or washed sheets, which lingers after the initial hit of sweet pea and lychee fade. It doesn't quite sound like the kind of thing I want to like. And yet. I enjoyed myself immensely wearing this today, and I can see this being something easy to reach for, like a casual sweater, especially as the weather gets warmer. I have my phases with these pretty and inoffensive perfumes (like most of the Chloes, for instance) - I go through periods of momentary madness, where I'm convinced I want nothing more than to smell pleasant and unobtrusive. Most of the time, I grow bored of the fragrance after a while, and I grow out of it. For now, I'll use up the rest of my deluxe sample and see if the phase passes.

I seem to like this a lot better than some of you do.. First, it's well blended. There isn't anything heavy about it. If you're used to the scents that really punch you with one note (vanilla - I'm looking at you) you may have forgotten, or never knew, a time when you could be unable to say "this fragrance smells like these notes." Many of the best fragrances in history smelled like themselves more than any specific thing. Still, it's fair to want to class a fragrance somehow and this is floral. It's nearly floriental like some of those fragrances from the 80's, but not so heavy-handed with the spices. I do agree that it isn't so unique that it would be a signature scent that would, in the words of the old Wind Song ad, "stay on my mind." In other words. If someone walks by wearing this I'm not going to immediately think "Carven" the way I would when someone walks by wearing Issey Miyake or Angel. So bottom line, for me it's a classy, professionally safe, feminine, high-quality scent. I will keep it with the fragrances I wear when I don't have any particular image I wish to project but simply want to smell good. Because it really does smell good.

For years I have been trying to get a hold of Ma Griffe by Carven. A scent long gone but that still remains on my memory as it was one of my mother's favourite scents. I, myself, never had a Carven perfume so I went for this one. First of all, a word from my mother after smelling it "This is not Carven quality". Indeed if you do some searching you will learn that Carven has been through ups and downs and started to come back up but not with the same means, scents and perspective. I personally enjoy this perfume but I wish it were better. It's a very feminine, soft and delicate perfume. Slightly on the sweet side but gentle for us that aren't into sweet perfumes. There is a mix of citrusy and flowery scents. In my batch, I smell some hyacinth which I adore. This perfume is a bit girly and shy. Very, very innocent. So much so that it has almost no sillage. It lasts max 3 hrs which is a shame, really. I want more power out of this. More smell and longevity. I don't want it heavier or overpowering but this perfume reminds me of mayflies. Beautiful creatures that dance up and down, mesmerizing us and dying quickly.

This is so lovely and refined. To me, it is a perfect example of fine French perfume. It is subtle, gentle and very elegant. This scent contains the sort of mixing of white flowers that I can enjoy, it's not sharp, headache inducing or shrill in any way - at least to me. I get a little jasmine, a little hyacinth, a little sandalwood and a little clean patchouli, all blended perfectly, expertly. I can't pin point anything else. The only drawback to this perfume is its lack of longevity - I got 2 hours or less before it was a skin scent. However, I do love it, and may at some point indulge in a full bottle anyway because wearing it, smelling it, makes me feel chic and sophisticated, even though I'm wearing jeans and a tee. If Le Parfum works seamlessly with casual wear, I can just imagine how heavenly it would be to wear it dressed for a day at the office or a special night out. This scent is just so comfortable to me, I keep sniffing my wrist deeply and saying "ahh." It just makes me feel good. Reading this over, I've convinced myself and this is definitely going on my want list!

Fresh from the bath scent. It's a bright, clean, not to sweet floral that is the perfect compliment to a nice long, luxurious soak in the tub. Its winter where I live and I normally reach for one of my cozy, vanilla laden/woodsy scents, but on this night, I decided to try ( for the first time) a decant of Carven that I'd recently received. Since I'd just emerged from my bath, I was reluctant to spray on my skin in case I didn't like it and with my luck, it would probably be one with fantastic longevity that I'd have to shower off...I sprayed into the air, walked into it and smelled nothing. I turned to walk away and there it was, a fresh, clean, very feminine scent that has a bright floral vibe. I liked it and I immediately sprayed it on my skin. The dry down held onto the top notes but just a hint of ylang ylang began to emerge which grounded this fragrance and made it more mature. I had earlier commented to a friend that I would love to find a new fragrance versatile enough to wear from now into Spring. This is it.

I'm trying a sample of this I've had in my collection for years, oblivious this is a Kurkdjian creation. It opens very peppy and zesty like a seeded fruit (apricot) intertwined with a mossy, Lanvin Eclat de Arpege type of white hyacinth. That one is like tea but this has a current of musk flowing through unlike Arpege. I will say it did not develop with a sweet pea scent until an hour later so it depends how heavily you spray. It's a little complex with an osmanthus and patchouli base guiding mandarin blossom, shy jasmine and ylang, yet the apricot gets fermented and dulled out over the patchouli. Sunny and dewy. Not generally soapy but aldehydic wafts flow through like a warm gust. And by the end sandalwood silences the sweet pea remnants diminished on your hot skin. I was watching The Life of Pi and I spiritually aligned this scent to that movie's existentialism. Feeling creation. You go alone looking for an elder with this one.

While this is far from original and groundbreaking, it is quite lovely. It gives the aura of being an aristocratic woman during the Victorian era in Europe. It's so feminine, delicate, and pure. Overall it's a mildly sweet floral....like the smell of walking through a Victorian floral garden while carrying a basket of fruits, after taking a bath with expensive French mill soap. Don't be scared by the Fruity Floral genre title, which has been tarnished by being overused in the cheap Celebrity fragrance industry (not not insulting all Celeb fragrances. I love many of them, but I can only do so many budget fruity florals that last one hour). I most likely will upgrade my sample vial to a full one. Victorian-esque fragrances are my love <3

High quality, unique scent! This was unlike anything I’d ever sampled when I bought it about 15 years ago (I swear it was circa 2009, contrary to what this site lists): sweet, white, and delicate without being watery. Strong, though. I guess it’s the hyacinth, which I’ve never smelled before. I love this for spring, it’s romantic, complex, classy, and not at all soft. Longevity is amazing; I can still smell it inside my elbow after showering. Downside is that the brand isn’t widely available in the U.S., the flankers are discontinued as well, so I won’t be able to explore what else they have to offer.

I find myself reaching for this all the time because it's just so easy. You're not going to offend anyone, it's light and breezy, it's pretty and warm. This is one of those mindless sprays in that you just don't have to think about it. But when I pause and pay closer attention, I do really enjoy this. It's youthful without being fruity, timeless without being irrelevant, sophisticated without being snobbish. It's just a well-rounded, lovely perfume. I prefer this in lighter, brighter weather, as there is something quite happy at the heart of it. It's a joyous scent for me.

I feel traitorous saying anything negative about this perfume because the hype and the reviews compelled me so much I bought it without a second thought. It's just okay on my skin. It's light, green, floral and work appropriate but it has that bubble gum, teenager thing going on as well. I think I'll save it for summer. It's definitely light and airy but I was hoping for something more original. Prada Candy is a better version if you prefer sweet perfumes. I prefer single note florals, so admittedly this perfume is not my go to scent.

I wore this all through my 20s to work and court. I didn't think too much about it when I bought it on Ebay, I just needed something that smelled formal and basic, but showed I had taken the extra step to add fragrance to my wardrobe. It worked well, never offended anyone, and was never distinct enough to really stand out. I think the equivalent now would be the Chloe EDP. There isn't a ton to say about it other than "It's nice." But this is the fragrance's strength and utility, because I needed it to be exactly that.

Strangely, this smells very much like gardenia to me, though it is not listed as a note here. The opening is somewhat bitter, heart smells of expensive bath products, and in the base I get impressions of a lighter, fresher, slightly cucumbery gardenia. It reminds me a little of a more youthful take on 24 Faubourg. Interestingly, though in the middle I get the impression of familiarity, I've never smelled anything like this before. I'm not sure that it's me, but I definitely like it.

Carven Le Parfum is fresh, floral, very french, young with classy. I really like it. I can perceive mostly hyacinth at first, mandarine note, then floral bouquet, always in a bright way, super chic. As it developes, nice and not strong sandalwood appears. Very feminine, enough noticeable and long lasting. Bit sweet, really pretty, it has that innocent girly side, like the ad's girl, and also bit cheeky... Is easy to wear. It matches very good with the skin. Perfect in one word.

I'm so glad that I didn't let this one pass me by because it is pretty different than most of the new perfumes out there. It's definitely fresh and does evoke the feeling of being very French. At the same time it does have a slight masculine vibe during the last stages that smells very clean. I feel it's pretty long lasting but doesnt project very far which is very common these days in lots of perfumes. Over all I really like it and the bottle is simple yet classy.

It has many different features to it. For example, it has fresh floral note - hyacinth. It doesn't have teeny pop like sweetness, only a very mild sweet scent to it. I think white flowers make a big role in it and it has some mild fruity note to it as well. I sense it a little bit soapy and even clean smelling. I think that it could be suitable for mature women very easily, not too young or girly. It mildy aims at the presence of classic fragrances.

Beautiful sweet pea scent. For some reason this floral note isn't used often, but here it is presented very well -- true to nature, feminine and breezy. This scent has a lot of gentle floral sweetness to it blended with a bit of fruit -- but no one note overwhelms any of the others. Moderate sillage, lasts about 5 hours. Great for work or day time use. A must try for sweet pea lovers!
