Dans Ma Bulle

While testing the first time, for me it was an instant "wow," though this is not a "wowing" scent - and it's not meant that way, I think. On my skin I got a perfect mix of Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione, Lacoste pour femme and Coco Mademoiselle intense, which I finally tested that week. Most fragrances will not be sweet on my skin - or only for a short time because my skin often amplifies woody base notes. So for me it's not a sweet, but a creamy and soft fragrance, warm as a good and expensive body lotion: very soothing. I smell Rose, Heliotrope, creamy musk and a trace of patch. A comforting "motherly" kind of perfume for me. Nice in a heartwarming way. Don't judge it by its topnotes - they are fruity floral, but that's not its true character (and not the best part of it, for my taste). And the topnotes indeed vanish after a couple of minutes, but that doesn't mean that this was all about Dans ma bulle. As "fragrantica website" says, it is "oriental floral", but it's also bordering "floral woody musk". Indeed, after the topnotes vanish, it becomes creamy and powdery and there is the real heart: peony cream (complimented by a shy lychee), almondy heliotrop, sandalwood and some modest patch, without being sharp, not the tiniest bit. Edit after two years: I came back to it and was surprised that it had more sillage than I rememberd. In autumn - and after wearing different kind of perfumes in the meantime - I sprayed two sprays before sleeping and woke up nine hours later, surrounded by a dreamy peony sandalwood cloud, only sweetend by some almonds. That was even more than I remembered. Seems that not everybody can smell the basenotes, I also had some problems in spring, then my allergies weakened my sense of smell. Now I treasure it even more for what it is: A creamy, modest, female scent - no fruity floral or a different kind of flowerbomb, LVEB and so on. It is a comforting powder cloud, while you feel wrapped in a rich rosy cream at the same time. It is much more in the vein of Narciso Poudre, Narciso Rouge or Guerlain L'instant Magic and I spray it when I want to feel calm and save.

I hope I can answer a third time ... I do not want to write so many reviews, but there are only a few people who have already voted and I have been wearing Dans ma bulle since the beginning of March. Dear Genny17, let me begin by saying that this year the winter in my country was really long and cold and cold was the onset of spring. In this climate, Dans Ma Bulle had the really great longevity I mentioned. Or rather, I could smell the scent of Dans Ma Bulle all day long. But now it's getting warmer - and the warmer temperature changes the fragrance, but fortunately it's changing into something I love: I felt in the same mood as in the warm and beautiful summer of 2009 when I wore "Eau Indigo" Kenzo. Nevertheless, I considered to use another fragrance in my collection that better suits the summer temperatures (warmer than 20 degrees Celsius). Something like Acqva divina (Bvlgari) for example (or I could go back to Chance eau vive if the summer should be very warm and humid). So I would say that Dans ma bulle suits autumn, spring and winter best. And maybe then you will get better longevity. But as a conclusion, I can contribute an anecdote: Some time ago I wore Dans ma bulle, while I visited the fair with my eldest child. It was cold in the morning when we started, but in the afternoon the sun came through the clouds and it got very hot. I thought my perfume would have disappeared long ago. In the late afternoon we arrived at my sister's garden and she greeted me from afar with the words: "Hello, how good you smell again, what is that delicious scent?" What she could smell was Dans ma bulle. So I decided not to change my vote about longevity ;)

ohhellozippy, thanks for the mention of the really excellent longevity. Dans ma bulle stays the whole day - and stays perfect all day long. After a few days of constant wear, I find that the top notes (mainly litchi, rose and mandarin orange) disappear, but on my skin I get almonds (heliotrope) in a nice mix with patchouli for the rest of the day. I have a complicated skin chemistry, many scents become sour, screechy or musty with daily use, but not Dans ma bulle. Dans ma bulle stays well rounded right up to the end and my only complaint could have been that it might be so perfect that sometimes I could get bored. But that was not the case, I love it and it became my go-to-fragrance (except for business wear; there I prefer a different type of scent). To say it brings me in a warmhearted mood of eternal love (that's the motherly aspect) is the biggest compliment I can do - leave the stressy world behind...the name also fits perfectly.

I tested this perfume in foreign trip and I love it very much.I am very regret that I didn't buy.it's a very beautiful perfume in a beautiful bottle.a little sweet and warm,good mix of flowers fruits vanilla and patchouli.all of them mix very good.not very much patchouli or very much fruits.it is soft and classy.very very good longevity.I wait to see it again and buy it یک ادکلن فوقالعاده که هنوز ایران نیومده.هم بوی خیلی زیبا و شیک داره هم ظاهر زیبا و هم خیلی موندگاری بالا داره.به اندازه ملایمی گرما و شیرینی داره و ترکیب میوه ها و گل ها و نعنای هندی و وانیل هست که هیچ کدومشون زیاده روی نشده.دقیقا به اندازه.بی صبرانه منتظرم این ادکلن زیبا و شیک تمام عیار رو جایی ببینم و بلافاصله بخرم

I love this fragrance! It's very elegant and feminine. Moreover, it has a pretty decent longevity and projection. This is also not well-known so if you want something a little bit more unique as a signature scent, I would suggest Dans ma Bulle edp by Carven. However, it is not a ground-breaking perfume with an incredible singularity. This is one of those perfumes that you pick when you just want to feel beautiful. On a side note, I will add that it reminds me a little bit of Insolence by Guerlain, but take it with a pinch of salt as every nose is different. But if you love Insolence, you will probably like this one too. It's lighter.

I wore this as my wedding fragrance. Niche enough that it felt personal, but also a universally sweet, deep and feminine scent. All the hallmarks of a classic woman's fragrance with the powdery florals and depth of patchouli + sandalwood, but it also feels fruity, bright and sweet. It's well balanced and just enough of everything to make me feel my best. Where I live (Australia), an EDP was very great value, which is exactly what you want when re-purchasing your wedding scent in future. Carven, please don't ever discontinue this. Or at least warn me beforehand if you do so I can stock up.

Interesting, reading some polarising reviews about longevity here.. My skin tends to eat perfume. And i find it difficult to find smth that really lasts and projects among nowadays offerings. But Dans ma bulle was an exception. On me it lasts all day long, with very good projection. So it is a winner in my book. And a love at first sniff I am also surprised this perfume doesn't have more votes/reviews, considering it's been on the market for a few months by now... It is absolutely lovely!

I do like this, infact Carven fragrances are usually fairly reliable. This on me is bordering on a chypre style similar to caleche by Hermes yet less woody and softer. It's inexpensive compared to other fragrances. This really reminds me of the 80s. I consider this timeless. I wish it had a better projection though. But this could be my habitat. The sub tropics. It's very well blended. Qudos to the makers.

Sweet powdery violet makeup powder smell perfume. Happy with this purchase while it was on half price discount. Can be as a signature perfume, formal and informal wear

Thank you for these reviews, especially reporting on good longevity. I want a lasting bubble, and if peony is there so much the better. I am watching for this to appear at beauty counters "everywhere." Oh, and I too think the name and the bottle are appealing and fun. **Update: got my bottle and Dans Ma Bulle smells delightful. Soft and lovely, but does stay with you. The bottle IS adorable; I suggest getting the 30ml because the cap is outsized and more bubble like! If you like Mon Guerlain, this would probably appeal to you.

Bummer!! I love the top notes in that one !! Warm floral beginning, it smells great, wish it would stay there and develop more...but it gets rather sweet fast , and basically stops developing..too bad, it really is interesting...I find the longevity rather poor, on my skin, it fades too fast...I don't get where the other reviewers get that great longevity !? It is easy to like, easy to wear, feminine, not girlish...but the poor projection kills it for me, it is full of promises at first, then just fizzles..too bad !!

I am glad some people find dans ma bulle longlasting..I dont, , even if I spray 10 times I still don't find it longlasting...and two friends who have it feel that same way..so I still like it, I enjoy it..but longevity isn't its forte in my experience..we have cool days here in Canada and I do admit the top notes have some punch in cooler weather, but I find it weak in the base.

This perfume is very pleasant, soft, smooth and round. No notes stand out in it. It's a nice fruity-floral-powder scent suitable all year round. The strongest notes for me are: Litchi, Peony, Rose, Green Notes, Heliotrope, Lily of the Valley and Woods.

She's pretty and quite sweet. Anyone trying to find something wrong with her is possibly a jelly meanie.

Okay, so the first time I tested this perfume, as a sample, here are the reactions I got as I went along: Hmm it's ok. Nothing extraordinary... Not unique at all, déjà vu... But not ugly either... More for a teenager... In fact I don't dislike it... It is rather pleasant!... Well, I'm starting to smell some nice new olfactory notes... But it smells good!... It is part of the perfumes that I like in fact, the sweet floral fruity ones!... But why do I find myself sniffing it all the time?... Oh my boyfriend says: you smell good! a new perfume? Conclusion: A very nice feminine perfume, light, spring-like, versatile, which will please the majority! It's not really unique, but it's the perfume I wear when I don't know exactly what to wear, when I don't want a too heavy perfume, but a perfume that will be noticed as well because I will be having different occasions out in the same day. The longevity is pretty good! But the projection is not extraordinary (which suits me at work actually!) 8/10

09.august 2018 One word (correction , two words): huge dissapointment. Saw a big bottle amongst new arrival (carven is in my top 3 favorite houses ever) and was intrigued by a lid of it in form of huge ball. So i sprayed my wrist twice, since i couldnt detect almost anything from the bottle, smelled it, was confused and went further... after about 10minutes i remembered that i had that scent on my wrist and wanted revisit it, but as i sniffed it i couldnt detect anything except for a very faint flowery trail. I was stunned in a bad way. So i went back and sprayed twice again on the same spot on ny wrist, like 2 full extra sprays. Only then i could smell something which was floral smell with a surprisng undertone of violet. Prior to second wrist test i checked the notes and couldnt gind anything related to violets. But then it was still an unimpressive synthetic smell of hyacint with addition of strange notes i couldnt detect. Absolutely unimpressed at all... it kept me completly cold and emotionless... i tried to sniff it again after some time and i had to dig my nose deep into my wrist to smell it after only about 30 mins... now about 4 hrs later i cant smell anything at all... such a bad lasting power and even worse sillage... So its a huge dissapointment, even though Carven was my nr.1 favorite house amongst vintage releases. I see a heated debate here about lasting power, but i can honestly say it sucks. Will pass on it until i retry it during colder time of the year if i would even remember it then, so much unimpressed i was. Dont removethis comment, because negative comments are as much helpful as the positive, especially for the blind buyers. UPDATE 03 september 2018: still no lasting power and low sillage however the scent itself it more nice now when its not a heatwave anymore but still im very much unimpressed

The bottle catches eyes. The scent is not pleasant in my opinion. It has a very specific strong bitter floral note, that I can't stand. Not for me.

I was fortunate to pick up 2 bottles of Dans Ma Bulle online. Despite the absence of either violet or iris in the listed notes, they are definitely there. The fragrance is similar to Boucheron Paris but not as oppressively intense. When I opened the first bottle the packaging looked old and the juice had darkened (it DOES have vanilla which is probably why). This is just a gorgeous perfume and for me at least, longevity if not projection is great. One spray was enough and the drydown is heavenly. DMB has that very French aura, beautifully blended and expensive selling. It's winter in Australia, not sure how it'll perform in the heat but it has all of the hallmarks of a cool weather fragrance. I personally can't recognise the similarity to Guerlain Insolence (another extremely intense perfume) that some have noted but Boucheron Paris, most definitely. DMB is a great buy at a very low price if you love B.P. Based on the success of this buy, I'll be checking out other fragrances from Carven. (not Ma Griffe though, waaaaay too green imho). I feel that BMB is a fragrance for 30's and over. It's serious, powdery and sophisticated without the overdone sweetness of some perfumes targeted at a younger demographic. A true (bargain priced!) undiscovered treasure that is not at all what the notes would suggest. Who doesn't love that......

well another disappointment darn !!! i recently received carven le parfum & loved it so i thought wow a new fragrance house i will love so i saw this perfume & read the ingredients & thought oh how lovely........well i got it today & well to be fair at first spray it smells very pretty but after about 10 mi it was gone & i was left with a very faint almost not there cheap floral scent...........i mean i have avon scents & celebrity scents that last longer than this lol...........im getting tired of these prominent fragrance houses releasing these scents enticing us perfume lovers with something exciting & original...........only to be disappointed :( well sorry to be a bit harsh but i got this & burberry her today in the mail & both were big disappointments i guess i expeceted better...........well gotta go re-package my goods to send back to bloomindales.........lol

I don't know why the reviews are poor on this one, it's a very nice fragrance. It opens up sweet and refreshingly floral. The dry down is a sweet, powdery vanilla with Lychee that's very similar to the Craven EDP. I had the EDP before but gave it away because it was too powdery for me. I'd say this is a fragrance in the LVB, Miss Dior and Si family, but much fresher and non syrupy/headache inducing. The patchouli note in this one is not as strong as it is in the other ones so maybe that's why it's not as long lasting, but personally I don't like a strong and dominant sillage from my fragrance. I'd say it lasts about 5-6 hours.
