Paris Izmir

Delicious rose. Starts somewhere between the top notes of Parfum Sacre (but not so spicy) and Aromatics In White (just without the patch and the amber base notes). The heart notes remind me a little of Kenzo Flower L'elixir (the red one) - but of course without the praline note, which one gets tired of easily. Just fine, a creamy combination of myrrh and rose. It takes some time to settle down, the opening is pretty strong. But then it stays beautiful for hours, balanced and harmonious. The best season could be autumn, luckily spring is coming - so I can save some money until september.

A gorgeous oriental scent that strongly reminds me of Calligraphy Rose. I do not get the freesia, the rose is the only floral player for me. The benzoins, myrrh, sandalwood and patchouli create a feeling of honey in my nose. So Paris Izmir is like rose and honey to me. A very pretty rose with some very delicious honey. Strong in the beginning, but it barely lasts two hours on my skin. Thank you for the sample, E.!

Reminds me of a tart black rose that may have fallen into a pile of bit-o-honey. Rose myrrh benzoin and sandalwood- no freesia on me. Nice. I cant remember 100% but i believe it reminds me of a cross between AB Millionaire Black Rose and or Judith Leiber Night. Not my favorite in this line but not a bad fragrance. SAO PAULO & FLORENCE ARE LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF

Brought this out after a 3 year break- and it’s definitely a big, spicy, jammy, honey rose! Extremely similar to Calligraphy Rose. Fall is the correct time to wear it. Lasts all day. I’m glad I didn’t get rid of it.

I get faint roses and more freesia, good quality and lasts well. Not worth the pricetag though :(

I’ve owned a bottle of Izmir for a very long time but sprayed it once and then packed it away. At the time it reminded me a lot of Caron’s Parfum Sacre but more modern and floral. I just pulled it out of the dark closet and decided to revisit it. Wow! At first spray, I’m surrounded by a cloud of ambery honey that is soft and warm, nothing like what I remember from years back and it is clearly the myrhh and sandalwood glowing in unison!! A slight floral note which is not readily recognizable and a bit of benzoin and patchouli to add some earthiness. I was not impressed much with this Carven fragrance when I first bought it but I do believe age has mellowed it to perfection, just like a fine brandy!!

I get a peppery cedar rose, with a slighlty vintage feel. It goes through a stage that smells like an Avon perfume from the 60s that’s gone off, which sucks, but washed off, the leftovers are a fairly pleasant woody floral. Another from this line that are pleasant, easy to wear and kind of forgettable on me.

I love this fragrance but I've come to realize that it's just too elegantly feminine for me and my boyish style. I have a 100 ml bottle that is about 95% full that I'm willing to sell (located in Belgium). Hit me up if you're interested!

Myrrh, benzoin freesia roses. Benzoin roses with doses of myrrh and some patchouli. It has sandalwood, cedar, and lime. It hits hard when first spray and settles soft but heavy. Interesting take of roses, freesia blend.
