Levar del Sole

With the launch of Levar del Sole, Xerjoff created another great perfume in my opinion! It’s strong, projecting well, intense, sweet, ambery, warm, spicy, soft and powdery, floral, fruity, citrusy, green perfume and smells unlike anything from the Xerjoff catalog or anything else on the market. From what I’m familiar with at least.. I think the stand out notes or accords are the violet, the rose, the jasmine, the cardamom, the tonka beans and caramel, patchouli and benzoin. Between the fruity notes, the most noticeable are the apple and the mandarin. I am not the biggest fan of extremely powdery, violet heavy scents, but in Levar del Sole there a balance between all the accents that none comes across as too strong or overpowering the others. I think it’s a fairly versatile and mass appealing perfume. I would wear it during spring, summer nights, and fall months because has such varied notes and accords that stretches very easily over the most of the year. But it’s strong enough to be worn during winter season for sure! I tested this together with the new releases from My Way and Donna Born in Roma lines today, and now, eight hours later, the Xerjoff feels as powerful on the blotter as it felt when I sprayed it. The two designers perfumes faded significantly over the hours, but Levar del Sole is still projecting strong! As with all Xerjoff, the quality is superb and superior, as is the price! But when it can be found online for a discount, I will add this beauty to my collection! It’s really unique.. I want to test it side by side with Quattro Pizzi, both the 2024 Xerjoff releases, but I think I prefer Levar del Sole over Quattro Pizzi scent wise. For me, this wins also for the bottle and packaging colouring/theme. I love vibrant, warm themed designs!

I absolutely love this perfume. There is something nostalgic about the powdery note that takes me back in time. It just makes me feel as if I smelled this before ages ago, but at the same time is sophisticated and pleasant. It is one of those perfumes that will take you on this journey, it is complex and beautiful. Smells like an elegant spicy powder, in the best way. To my nose, violet and orange appear very pronounced in the opening, and the dry down it gets a little bit more of the caramel and benzoin, I have used times and it was a bit overpowering, so do not overspray. Perfectly unisex in my opinion, I would smell this all day, it just so nostalgic and every time I put this on I am stunned on how Xerjoff was able to capture this vintage smell, that takes me and many others back to our childhoods. That is definitely an art.

I get the conflicting reviews, as this is a rather vague powderpuff of a scent. This LeVar del Burton’s a bit of an “amber lite” - it’s sweet and creamy and powdery and warm, and nothing sticks out - but for me this makes it real signature scent material. It’s the only sweet ambery fragrance I feel comfortable wearing to the office, regardless of season. A sleeper hit - give it a full wear before you dismiss it, if it doesn’t immediately grab you (which it probably won’t).

One full wearing and this became my favorite from the Casamorati line. I have 5 others which don’t thrill me and just sit on the shelf, but this one is a winner. On me, this wears similar to other rose musks/white musks I’ve been acquiring lately. Opening leans feminine, but it comes back to center so I’m ok with wearing this anywhere. It’s clean, fresh, and slightly powdery sweet in the background. Skin but better. Easy signature scent for any season.

This is a citrusy rose in the opening, very bright then the white florals and the violet kicks in amplifying the green notes and dries down to a sweet green caramely nuance without taking away the hints of white florals. The patchouli isn’t dirty too, just adds sweetness. A knockout for the upcoming warm season! Very unisex leaning feminine to my nose. Love!

When Casamorati 1888 Levar del Sole is available in the US, I will try a sample. The notes and story about the fragrance are interesting. Thank you.

Levar del Sole by Xerjoff: Pretty new from the house's Casamorati line at the time of writing, I got this in a sample set with three others. This fragrance is definitely a warm spicy citrus but not with a winter vibe. You could argue that it maybe leans slightly feminine due to the sweetness and the rose but truthfully its a unisex scent. The citrus and rose combo off the top is nice and I can pick up on some kind of rum or sunscreen note but there's something slightly off in the background and I can't place what it is. In the air it smells like walking past an old sweet shop with great projection. The opening quickly gives way to the caramel and floral notes and I think it's the cardamom that makes it a little rough around the edges but it's not too noticeable. Upon the drydown it becomes more musky due to the patchouli and musk but the tonka and caramel keep it smooth. Possibly my favourite of the entire Casamorati line and the design is gorgeous along with great longevity and projection, definitely sample this. Bright, green, sparkly, patch-forward, citrusy, sweet scent. Up close, the patchouli comes across quite strong but it isn’t a dirty one. The trail it leaves behind is quite pleasantly sweet from the caramel and smells refreshing from the citrusy green notes. The bottle is absolutely stunning but not sure it’s worth the $$$ as the scent profile isn’t all that unique. Could easily find affordable alternatives.

Levar del Sole feels creamy spicy floral on my skin. It has beautiful sweetness and depth from caramel and tonka. I also get soft rose, cardamom and violet. Surprisingly I do not get distinctive jasmine as my skin often pulls this note forward. Levar del Sole is a beautiful feminine leaning fragrance that works really well during warm weather. I wonder how it will do during colder weather as well.

On first spray you are hit with sweet juicy citrus, as it develops it does get more floral but the caramel in the base keeps it pretty sweet through and through. Overall a successful blind buy! It has BEASTLY longevity, it lasted through a cycle of laundry.

The first wearing gave me a gourmand hint of dark chocolate praline with a juicy orange filling. It’s great from a distance, but if you sniff too closely, it can be a bit overwhelming since the scent is quite strong. After a while, a crisp green apple emerged, and most of the "praline" sensation vanished, giving the scent a more fruity character—not in a fresh way, but more like sweet amber. It's not bad or great; it feels like something your average pumpkin spice latte fan would wear during autumn.

Levar del sole has the most beautiful bottle and packaging and I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately I found it underwhelming. It's not bad but it's not amazing either. The opening smells unexpected and like nothing else I've ever smelled, the dry down smells like a fancy vintage soap bar. If I were a millionaire I'd buy it just for the bottle

For the barbershop smell lovers. It was a shocker to me, this is so classic male, aftershave, old school cologne. I was expecting a Petit Matin, Light blue variety... Heavy on ambergris, long lasting too.

This smells like a luxury vintage bar of soap. It immediately took me back to my childhood in the 80’s. Unisex, strong projection and longevity. Beautiful bottle.

I can understand how some people would like this, but it doesn’t work for me. It’s really dense and heavy, which I often enjoy, but here it has a vintage aftershave vibe that is not for me. But for those who enjoy a super spicy retro style fragrances, it’s a really high quality choice with fantastic longevity and strong projection. The sample vial I received would likely last a few weeks if worn daily because so little is needed. I’ll be gifting it to someone who appreciates this kind of fragrance.

this ended up being my worst ever perfume purchase unfortunately. it smells like a soap bar yes, but in a very old fashioned and not so pleasant grandma way. a lot of friends who are fragrance enthusiasts really enjoy this one, but me personally, i cant wear it at all. i have a 30ml thats been worn like twice ever and im actively trying to find someone who likes it so i can give it to them or sell it.

Really wanted to love this but it dries down to baby wipes.

Fruity, floral and musky. Tons of jasmine from start to finish. You get a mossy patchouli drydown with some caramel sweetness. It has a waxy quality too, like a jasmine candle. You need to love jasmine because Levar del Sole is dominated by a lush jasmine. I was surprised by the amount and power of it. Leans very feminine with a carnal floral accord. Very strong, huge projection and enduring sillage. Not easy to wear, not office friendly. Much like a show-off scent. Too much and too dramatic(especially that jasmine) for me.

opens up very fresh almost like a fresh summer cologne then it dries to a very powdery feminine leaning fragrance i would say unisex but feminine leaning fragrance, but it doesn't smell out of this world or something, you have definitively smelled something similar, specially in the dry down.

THE RISE OF THE SPICES (short review) "Levar del Sole" (which may be translated as "Sun Rising" or "Leverage the Sun") is not a banal fruity fragrance, despite opening with (promised) strong notes of apple and citrus. Its sweet floral essence dominates over the fruity sweetness, and its feminine character prevails over its masculine side. However, it stands out mainly with spices, particularly a pleasant note of cardamom throughout its development. It also incorporates some traditional elements with a well-blended moss note. I was hesitant about liking this fragrance before trying it. The combination of green apple, tuberose, and caramel initially worried me. However, after ordering a decant, I was pleasantly surprised by Xerjoff once again. The scent begins with an immediate spicy and herbaceous impression that lasts for about a minute. Then, the true scent evolution starts as a gentle sweetness emerges. It's a mature and well-defined floral sweetness, unlike the teenage sweetness found in some fragrances like Escada or Gaultier. It's very pleasant. As the scent progresses, it becomes cheerful, with high-quality fruit notes adding to the experience. However, I can't pinpoint the specific fruit notes! Fortunately, the green apple note (which I'm always suspicious about) is almost absent. As the scent continues to evolve, it becomes rounder. The violet, in particular, seems candied and not as intense as in other fragrances like Dior Fahrenheit or Chanel's Misia. Cardamom plays a significant role in the scent, rounding off the overall experience and giving it depth. Perhaps it's the cardamom note that brings the scent together, allowing it to exude a "mature sweetness." I appreciate the use of violet and rose notes, and I'm relieved that I don't detect the overwhelming sweetness of tuberose or intrusive jasmine as individual notes. This is a positive aspect! After testing "Levar del Sole," I found the fragrance to be balanced in terms of gender. I can say that the floral sweetness makes it feminine, while the oakmoss adds a masculine touch that ties everything together. My opinion: The fragrance is somewhat delicate, exibithing a grown-up sweetness. It is floral, spicy and shows subtle fruity and cheerful undertones. Cardamom rounds it off nicely. I am not sure why but to me this turns out to a violet dominant perfume. Not like ambery or spicy but a perfume with a dominant violet note. I even get glimpses that are similar to Oscar by Oscar de la Renta or even Guerlain - L'heure blue. I know that it may sound crazy, but this is what I am getting. I think this is what may be giving this scent a nostalgic feeling, maybe even a bit vintage. I hope I am not the only one. I do not get a lot of citrusy notes, more like a bit green at the beginning. The amber note is quite noticeable also. I think you have to like violet note to appreciate this. Overall, I thought that the inspiration of this perfume is beautiful, but sadly, I just did not feel it when smelling this perfume. This did not make me think of a rising sun and new beginnings.

I smell primarily musk + benzoin for the first hour and half. It's warm and a little scratchy. In this phase, Levar del Sole smells like a pleasant lotion or soap (creamy/fatty smelling) with a touch of violet. I don't get anything sparkling or spicy or even citrusy, it's a benzoin and musk soap bomb on my skin. In the drydown this becomes a violet bomb, I'm shocked that the note has such few ratings. It's a beautiful, powdery violet, kind of candy-like in a very elegant way without any artificial sweetness. I enjoy this phase so much that it makes me want a bottle. Clean and warm and friendly, pleasant, makes me think of a mother living peacefully in a cabin with her two young ones.

My blind buy.... Loved the bottle so much! so who can stop me?! Chypre? yes! but fruity? 😳 I’m not sure Opens with a loud firework of all claimed notes but settles down pretty quickly as something more intimate. So many floral nots but I can’t detect any. Peppery-cinnamon tonka beans on top of the sour apple. Trying to find something similar but no. This one is absolutely standing out. One of a kind. The closest i can think of is Red Hoba. The vibe is the same: hot and dry spiciness. Beautiful creation! 100% concept realization: if you think of Phoenix - this is the one but..... with no tail 🤪 Unfortunately no sillage

Levar del Sole ("Rising of the Sun" in Italian), by Xerjoff, from the Casamorati line, smells like multi fruit jelly gummies, rhubarb candy, benzoin, caramel, green apple, sweet green apple lollipops, lemon, powder cardamon and white musk. The combination between fruits, rhubarb, sugar and benzoin, result in a rich, tasty and aromatic perfume. Personally, I don't like rhubarb, either in a scent or in a snack, but even if you like any type of jelly gummy candy or not, Levar del Sole will be an interesting experience.

This is so unbelievably underwhelming in comparison to the vivacious bottle that caught my eye. I get nothing. A faint non descript perfumey musk that wears like a whisper fading almost immediately. I cannot pick out any notes. To be fair, I did sample this from a dabber but I've tried many other dabbers with excellent note profiles. I just thank God I didn't buy a full bottle as I was tempted to do because it was so gorgeous.

Levar del Sole is basically a teleportation device to a 1990s barbershop. One spray hits you with a slightly fresh aftershave vibe that makes you sit and wait for a guy with a thick mustache to dust your neck with talcum powder. It’s a wildly accurate, old-school cologne experience if your goal is to smell like the freshest uncle at a 1996 wedding

Yum yum yum and yum. A creamy citrus. It gives the impression of cologne, but still very unisex. Fresh, spicy, creamy and warm. It's bright and fun. And it's also the cheapest thing I sampled today so it might just be the one I buy. I was dreaming of a creamy citrus and here it is. I only have it on a card, I need to try it on my skin.

Oooh, this is very spicy to me, the cardamom leans heavy. I don't get the fruits initially, just straight to spices and soft tonka dry down to round things off. It is nicely blended but I'm not the dry autumn spice gal. It is not a safe blind buy and fragrances are very subjective, what one smells is very different to another. Bon!

I can't wrap my head around where I get such an insane nostalgia from this scent it drives me crazy smelling it. Like a super nice hand soap or something? Mix of sweetness with powder, amber, florals and a vague greenery to it, super neat scent that truly smells from like a different time period

I received a dabber sample of this fragrance with my order. Out of the three, Levar was a love. It’s spicy, sweet. It smells amazing, and expensive. I can’t tell about performance yet, it’s hard to tell with the small dabber I got. I will order a large decant to test a full wear.

Beautiful summer fragrance. Some fragrances I buy are for sharing with my love. I thought this could be one of those, but as it dries down the oak moss and patchouli become prominent and the composition goes into gentleman mode.

Bitter orange, soapy orange blossom, coriander, hint of ylang and then an astringent, medicinal note that I can’t pinpoint at all but it isn’t pretty. Like a lightly bitter soda on paper, a very bitter mess on my skin.

Beautiful opening with the sweet juicy citrus as another reviewer described. The first phase doesn't last too long before it turns into a more generic sweet and almost powdery musk, but still pleasant.

Who on earth compared it with BR54? Nothing in common. This feels more like a chypre fragrance from the 1980s, complex, intense and long lasting.

I like how the name means "at sunrise" and the bottles colour looks like a tequila sunrise....as in the cocktail.

I love the fact that people vote shit for a perfume that's not even out yet. Well done smart guys ...
