Mefisto Gentiluomo

Imagine yourself walking around the Tuscan countryside... It’s the middle of summer, and in your hand is the finest lemon gelato... suddenly, you come up to a fully bloomed lavender field, it’s a cool afternoon and the air breezes through the field spreading its amazing scent... and just as the breeze reaches your path and the scent of a million lavender flowers enters your body, you take a scoop of your soft amazing lemon gelato... that is exactly what Mefisto Gentiluomo is! A cooling creamy and soft lemon/lavender potion, that it’s equally elegant as it is magnificent. Citrus perfumery is not something I would usually gravitate towards, in fact, I kind of dislike most modern and ultra hyped citrus opening perfumes... very much the same way I dislike most lemon or orange desserts... for me there are some notes/flavors that shouldn’t be combined... and I’ll say it again, I’m speaking for myself. That is why my impression of Mefisto Gentiluomo is even more surprising to me, and I also believe, more meaningful. Tu put it simply, this is the best fresh perfume... scrap fresh... the best cooling perfume in the market, elevated, luxurious, pleasing, inviting, and delicious! The Lemon and the rest of the citruses are bright and masterfully worked to avoid any bitter notes... the Lavender is just soft and airy... the Iris and Violets are luxuriously creamy and aromatic... and finally the Rose, which is nuanced to perfection in order to blend with rest of the flowers bringing them together without overpowering the composition. The three base notes also compliment the fragrance in the most amazing way... the Musk creates the creamy powdery environment... the Amber lends its soft sweetness and warmth... and the Cedar, although distant, it is still detectable and perfectly blended with the other two to create the most alluring ambiance in which the Lemon and the Lavender can brightly shine. The Xerjoff/Casamorati website speaks of a Barber Shop Cologne from the 19th Century... I can certainly understand the origins of this perfume... but this scent is so much more than that, so much more... this perfume captures the true spirit of a Gentleman. This amazing liquid can be worn all year round, in any weather and in any setting... it is equally sport as it is elegant... and although marketed for men, I don’t find any reason why a woman couldn’t wear it and smell fantastic... even sexy. After a few hours, when the drydown is almost coming to an end, the Xerjoff in Casamorati starts coming through... there is some very faint animalic accord coming to the light... it’s something almost undetectable, something that won’t bother anyone... but still, something undeniably recognizable as characteristic of the brand... it’s an accord that I absolutely love in all Xerjoff perfumes, and that I have become addicted to. Projection in this perfume is moderate for the first couple of hours, which is actually quite good and surprising for a fresh scent... regarding longevity, it’s been 7 hours since I sprayed myself and I can still smell it, although projection has now become intimate. Mefisto Gentiluomo, the definition of what an elegant and masterfully created scent should be!

Sprayed on a card, Gentiluomo and Mefisto are VERY similar. the differences are there but subtle until applied to skin. Gentiluomo smells exactly the way the bottle looks. Very watery and cool, air bubbles rising to the surface of aqua blue waters. The iris is toned way down and the violet and grapefruit raised to the top in its place. I really enjoy the smell but my opinion nothing about it is related to a barbershop and definitely not of one from the past. The scent is very modern so possibly a barbershop from 2039? Either way it is a great fresh scent, losing only a couple points for this slightly synthetic/chemical nuance I get if I smell too closely. I believe this mystery note is what is giving the very watery/airy feel to Gentiluomo, that pops and sets it apart from the original Mefisto. Its my belief that it is the entire point of the remake and the way it was made possible alongside a shifting of the formula mentioned above. It is the younger brother that will be perfect for the warmer weather or year around when the sun is out. I would say owning both is a bit redundant so if you are looking for classic, go Mefisto. If your aiming for modern, Gentiluomo is a solid choice and my personal pick out of the two with 1888 and Italica still acting as the standouts of the collection. Update 1/24/2019: After diving deeper I sold Gentiluomo and found a new love for the original. Rediscovered just how perfect it is as a warm weather or controlled climate scent. Easily can be the only warm weather scent a man or woman owns and would never be left needing more. The more I wear it the easier it is for me to say it is my favorite sunny weather scent. Along side my workhorse for the same time of year, AdP Colonia Oud, Mefisto makes me feel ready to enjoy the present and not worry about the past or future. It is timeless and a mainstay in my collection. Natural smelling and void of the synthetic nfacet I that haunts Gentiluomo to my nose. Original Mefisto is my pick of the two after further testing. Gentiluomo served a purpose in helping appreciate the bottle I already owned and overlooked for almost two years. I was dead wrong when thinking it was just “nice but nothing special”. I happily stand corrected.

I don’t know if I just got a beast mode batch of this, or what, but I can’t believe that people are saying that this is weak juice. This stuff lasts beyond 12 hours on my skin, and projects HEAVILY for the first 2-3 hrs, followed by admittedly moderate projection up until the 7hr mark. I can smell it on skin after showering. Even after the projection dies down the scent is quite strong, inside of the bubble, and I would say that it is quite long lasting. It is very floral and green so, if that is not something you like in a masculine scent look elsewhere. I would never recommend that someone blind buy this. I feel like that should go without saying for niche perfume, but I know some of you are crazy like that. The citrus notes off the top are very much in the background and, for me, this one is all about the florals and, once you get into the dry down, the cedar wood. As others have said it has a slightly soapy vibe, once it dries down, in a subtle fashion. It’s not unlike reflection man, in that regard, starting out extremely floral and moving into a soapier woody phase. That is the only way in which those two scents are similar, though, and if you like reflection I would not automatically assume you will like this. It is much more niche, if you catch my meaning. All in all I really like this one, but keep in mind that it is not for everyone. I think it is a great example of niche perfume that almost no one will be offended by, could be worn anywhere, but many would also say they would never wear it. It’s actually quite an accomplishment for Xerjoff, when you think of it that way.

I have only used this 7 to 8 times and not yet in warm weather. So it is a bit early to write an opinion about this. However, it is already obvious from the first impressions that this is not what one might expect: this opens fresh but it is not actually a citrus freshie. It is rather an aromatic, powdery and musky floral fragrance. The opening is very fresh and citrusy, and I love those few fleeting minutes that it lasts. Once the lemon starts to fade, the lavender and florals start to show the true nature of this fragrance. So if you test this, wait throughout the full wear, as dry down is absolutely not linear. Which makes me appreciate the quality and complexity of this fragrance. Absolutely marvellous and it stays interesting. I love both the opening blast as well as the smooth and interesting drydown. This is fairly easy to wear in office, casually, formally or gym. Maybe not the best date fragrance, as the very gentlemanly character lacks bad boy effect. The fresh opening makes this feel as not being suitable for winter wear, but the dry down in my opinion is. Longevity is ok but not great. Maybe 5 hours but I need to wear this more to really understand how long it lasts. My first couple wears I thought longevity was bad but then I started to pick that aromatic and musky smell lingering around for a long time if you pay attention.

This one is a must have staple in my summer collection. I have a small but fine collection where I limit myself to only own 6 fragrances for summer and 6 for winter for a toal of 12 fragrances: 2 for going out/evenings, 2 for office/work/formal and 2 for daily wear. Each for summer and winter. The original Mefisto is already amazing but gives a rather floral and unisex vibe. This one takes the very same DNA (around 70% identical) and gives it a much more masculine touch. As a fragrance lover, i much more lean towards freshies as my preference. I love the Aventuses, LV Imaginations, Xerjoff Renaissance or PdM Greenley's of this world. Freshies however usually have the same vibe: citrussy, orangy and fresh. This Mefisto here is different. It has a fresh Fougere vibe to it, its perfect for the summer but adds a very pleasant powdery touch to it. As the name suggest, its very gentlemanly. I have this as my Office fragrance next to Terre d'Hermes. The latter is the classical office freshie, very formal, elegant and slightly edgy. Mefisto on the other hand is soft, powdery while still having a fougere DNA. This makes Mefisto Gentiluommo hyper unique in my collection. I will make sure I always have a bottle around :)

I find that Gentiluomo is the pinnacle of this DNA to my nose. I like this better than the OG Mefisto. Gentiluomo manages to balance the citric, with the floral, and the mildly amber-y, musky base very well. This is uplifting, effervescent, mature, masculine, and sophisticated....all while simultaneously being a good performer, and versatile as well. This can be dressed up or down, and fits Spring and Summer days and evenings out casually just as well as it does more formal occasions and settings. I was never really a fan of SMW, or most of the fragrances in that style. But this one takes it up several notches, and makes it absolutely full bottle worthy. A nice addition to the collection. Unlike a number of reviews I read after having worn this a bit, and despite what is listed in the accords, I get very little 'powder' or 'fabric softener' vibes anywhere in the evolution of this fragrance. What I do get is something almost 'ice clean' and crisp...refreshing. And...this contains ROSE! I hate rose!!! But, somehow some way, it fits into this and works for me!! I always recommend sampling. Our noses and tastes are all different. But this one is excellent. YMMV.

Gentiluomo is a great fragrance. I very much get the slight barbershop vibe but nothing like your Aromatic Fougere barbershop fragrances. This one is a bit more gentle yet regal! I would say it is noticeable smoother than the original Mefisto and to me a bit creamier. I'm actually not sure if I'm getting all of the notes listed, however the middle notes are the most prominent along with that musk dry down. Like another reviewer stated the performance on my skin is monstrous. It lasts all day an I even get whiffs after a shower, the Projection and sillage are amazing as well. While many say that this is a Spring/Summer fragrance it give me year round vibes. I've worn this in warm and cold and mild winter weather and it performs beautifully (interestingly enough Mefisto which gets higher reviews for performance doesn't perform well at all in the cool but does very well in warmer temps). Mefisto is a beauty! Scent: 9/10 Versatility: 8/10 Longevity 10/10 Projection 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Seasons: All seasons Overall this is on my to buy list and could easily become one in my top 5!

Without a doubt, the best perfume release of 2018. PHENOMENAL. It does have similarities with its predecessor, but this is clearly a level above. The most noticeable difference is the increase of citrus notes that stay throughout the life of the perfume. Xerjoff is famous for its citrus notes and the bergamot/grapefruit/lemon combo evident in this is definitely no exception. The next biggest difference is the addition of a creamy orris root note reminiscent of shaving cream in the drydown, mixed with lavender to give an almost fougere aspect. This is what most people refer to as the "barbershop" feel of the fragrance and can definitely be missed upon first inspection if not looking for it specifically. The overall fragrance isnt quite as heavy as the original either. I don't believe its necessary to own both this and its predecessor. I do feel that this is the clear cut winner between the two. Performance is very good, especially for a freshie. This is versatile enough to be worn in all seasons.

After a lot of deliberation, I finally bought this one for a steal. It was a blind buy and I don't regret it one bit. I can relate to the gentleman tag it carries. It is non offensive and very pleasing. Got couple of compliments both times I wore it. I own over 150 Perfumes and something like this was missing in my collection. Though not very unique in it's scent profile, I find it pretty versatile and fit for many occasions casual and formal. For me it has Iris Cedre Prada vibes, clean and extremely pleasant but with better performance and projection. My skin drinks up perfumes and I usually have issues with Perfumes projecting and lasting on my skin. This performed admirably. For the first couple of hours it projected strongly after 3 hours or so, it became a skin scent which in my case is awesome. If you are looking for a versatile perfume and get a good deal (I paid around 130 CHF for mine) buy it. You won't regret it, as long as you don't pay the silly retail Xerjoff price.

This one is the best of his kind. Have smw and mefisto and it looks like Xerjoff made this out of the perfections from these 2. The amber warmth and depth from mefisto.. the freshness and creaminess for SMW. So yes you get this very fresh creamy base when it dries down. I really love this one.. since it made me laugh for happiness without any reason.. alright the reason is smelling, but you know what I mean. It could smell generic if you are in to these tea scents, but believe me let it linger trough the day give your skin few times the change and you will understand this is something more! This is a true gentlemen scent as the name says. Where I find mefisto a real tea scent, this for me is more of a fresh fruity combo that’s leaning on a creamy warm base without any sharp edges.. perfectly summer and good performance .. 8 hours for me on the skin and few days on fabrics and I use 6 sprays always. Projection is ok which is right for the ingredients and based on the summer..

Spring picnic by the riverside savanna 🏞️🏕️ Today I will share a fragrance that able to transport the wearer into an ultra realistic imagery of specific place and time. Wearing this takes me to a picnic scenario in lust green savanna by the riverside. Fresh dewy grass is very dominant everywhere I walk. Occasionally the whiff of Iris flowers emerge beautifully along the path. The river flows steadily and the aroma of fresh water carried by the gentle breeze of the wind is very soothing to my mind. The only notes I will add to this wonderful spring olfactory journey is a soft musky undertone. The whole experience is very refreshing, uplifting and also soothing at the same time. Performance of this green aquatic is the best amongst all I've experienced. It can cut through all weather from desert heat to chilly winter. I wish everyone a happy springs and hopefully you also find this one as fantastic as I do 💚💦. #vscentorientreview

At a loss for words to describe the magnificence of this absolute stunning perfume, this tops everything in the fresh arena, it’s everything you could ever wish for in a true gentleman fragrance, it has a noticeable aquatic tonality, breezy, noticeably featured is an icy effect almost minty like, infused into the subtle floral nuances , Gentiluomo possesses a barbershop cleanliness of addicting proportions, Italian aroma of regality, framed in a sweet lavender with a candy effect similar to the one utilized in the iconic Alexandria II, kissed by a creamy sandalwood. This is a concoction suited to a CEO, a BIG BOSS aristocratic olfactory elixir. I’m saying it right now and I’m saying it first, This is going to become a major hit in the Fragrance Community and across the world, mark my words, go get yourself a bottle, and you can thank me later.

To be honest, I've smelled something like this before, To my nose this smells like a roided up version of Aquamat by Masaki Matsushima so it has more punch. But Xerjoff done it more wonderfully and more sophisticated so it didn't fall into your average blue fragrance. And Xerjoff put on more musk to make it more gentleman-ly, soapy, and more dandy. This is a very office friendly fragrance, and it's a total crowd pleaser. The longevity is somewhat average, you can smell the soapiness around 5 to 6 hours, after that, you have to reapply. It's a fleeting fragrance, so you can't expect a stellar performance. At around 200 bucks, it's a little bit on expensive side, especially for a somewhat average longevity, but it's a very nice summer scent. I'd say go for it, because you just can't go wrong with Mefisto Gentiluomo 😍

So I've tested a decant for about a week and the first impression was amazing. From the first day until now it always reminds me of YSL la Nuit de l'homme, but more interesting. Like LNDL evolved into the right direction. The opening and first 15 minutes are the most enjoyable to me. I don't describe notes because I have no knowledge, I can only say that it smells somehow comforting, smooth, fresh, just puts a smile on my face every time. I wish it was linear, so that the opening smell stays longer. But... it isn't. As it dries on my skin it becomes mature, still smooth and nice, but the tingling's gone. Not that the dry down is bad, definitely nice as well, but the opening is just too good man... I really like Gentiluomo and will purchase a bottle soon. It has to be in the collection.

After a shower and badger tail brush shave using Musgo Real this scent is the cherry on top! The combo of those three things is my ultimate freshness trifecta. It has the bergamot top notes yes, the lavender can’t be mistaken, but what really dazzles me with this is the violet. It’s the first fragrance where I’ve ever picked up on violet in such a noticeable way....it almost twinkles and sparkles around me as it dances with the lavender. Then the musk joins in and they all play together in the most interesting way. 4 sprays and I can smell it continuously for close to 6hrs, from there I get another 2.5hrs as a skin scent. 19th century old school Italian barber shop for sure, classy but not stuck up, fresh but not like a soapy detergent...just done so right.

Xerjoff definitely hit it out of the park with this one. I do smell similarities to SMW but this goes a bit fresher/cleaner than that fragrance to me. It actually smells kind of like a combo of Azzaro Chrome and SMW. Beautiful, fresh, inviting and brisk. If you’re looking for a nice inoffensive clean smelling fragrance this is most definitely one to try. I get a bit louder projection and staying power when compared to SMW as well which is very welcome. That said silver mountain water is more abrasive and nose tickling than this. This fragrance is rounder and smoother. All in all I definitely love this fragrance. I’m having a hard time deciding if I prefer this or silver mountain water so I can pick up a bottle of one of them!

This Mefisto Casamorati is working better on me than "original" Mefisto (just called Mefisto)! A perfect daytime signature scent for late spring and summer with a good projection but not overwhelming! Longelivity is also good. I get the citrus staying for long then its getting a bit powdery. I get more violet and rose from this than original Mefisto. Complexity in this makes it smooth and a bit barbershop. Its pleasant and I will give it 4 out of 5. A blind buy? If you can its always safe to try before buying a whole bottle but if you want a "freshie" with complexity its a pretty safe bet. This can be unisex for sure and without age recommendation but I think its a tad more masculine and might suit men over 25 best.

A proper and modern Italian barbershop fragrance. I repeat, Italian barbershop. Do not expect this to be a typical barbershop juice like Nicolai New York Intense, Eau Sauvage or MDCI Barbare Invasion. This is utter class and sophistication at its best without losing the simplicity. Performance is great for this profile, 10+ hours on skin with above average projection and a couple of days on clothes. Not a beast mode projector but creates a clean scent bubble around you and I get wafts all day till I hit the bed. Compliment factor is high. People complaining about the performance of this gem are either going anosmic or were sold a fake one. Just signature scent worthy👍🏽

Wow this is good! Bought on a blind buy but I do already own Mefisto so only concern was that I'd have 2 bottles the same. This is seriously good, you are enveloped in that Silver Mountain water DNA but weirdly up close is where it differs from both. I see this mentioned as being the more masculine of the 2 Mefistos where in fact I'd say it's the other way around- on the skin you really pick up the violet, on me anyway. Not sure how close you would need to be to tell them apart but certainly with a spray on opposite arms you'd say they were completely different. This is definitely the more fresher of the 2 & you get that immediate citrus zing before it settles down.

I really love this sent profile. It is for high heat with possibly high humidity. From my experience it cannot get too sweet or clowing in any way. It will lack i. performance hence why i save it for those very hot environments. Anything under 25 celcius and it will be killed off in the cold. It also carries that Fresh and clean feeling with me right out of the shower light white clothes and yeh its perfect for that scenario. Performance is about 2-3 hours when in very hot environments, you do not want it to perform longer then that, you will get tired of any parfume in high heat and humidity. For me it keeps that balance.

Somehow, this smells better the next day 😂 the first hours were too citrusy light and offensive to me. But the drydown was heavenly! I can't really pick the notes here, it's blended well. Edit: I did an all-day test with Mephisto and I prefer the other one. However, this has stronger silage and IMO a bit better longevity. Spray this to your hair and you are good for a week! The only minus that turned the tide for me was the sharp, citrusy "green" opening. A bit like a freshly mowed grass. Not bad, just not my cup of tea. Dry down was heavenly though. Very masculine, confident and sexy. Very good choice for a man!

Spring / Summer Love! If love has a smell then it smells like this one. I absolutely enjoy this parfume and its one of the best smelling parfumes ever had. For sure in my top 10! This is high quality niche with great longevity and sillage and also with character. You smell unique not like the rest of the people. This is a great masterpiece and for sure a blind buy! Absolutely gorgeous for summer, spring and fall in places like the one i live (Greece) were we can have warm weather even in the beginning of November. Best fresh scent blue from xerjoff casamoratti..!!! I tried mefisto and creed SMW both yet Xerjoff made this stand out from those legend! It's more modern take on mefisto like it mixed with some blue fresh ingredients! Infact I feel it has taken amber warmth depth from xerjoff mefisto And the freshness creaminess a bit synthetic like things from Creed silver mountain water! Lovely blue bottle! It's crowd pleaser for sure And a Gentlemens perfum while he's at office even! Lasted 10+ hours for me on the skin and few days on fabrics!!! Perfect for summer days! Overall 9/10....

An almost perfect summer/spring fragrance. Fresh and mildly sweet with a semi powdery/floral bed underneath. Every smell you take it smells a bit different. It reminds me of those polychromatic solutions where every minute change in the angle of light hitting the liquid it hangs color. almost iridescent in its ability to highlight a new material every other sniff. All that being said, if I don't focus in on it and I go on about my life I get wafts of cheap drugstore moist wipes I used to purchase. Big pass for me. Unfortunate though because it is quite a creation

Extremely bright nose tickling high pitched citrus, clean musk, beautiful lavender, lightly sweet florals, and a lightly rich amber base. It's complex and also approachable. This is a lightly sweet, timeless citrus aromatic. The kind that smells traditional and clean but also makes scents like eau sauvage smell dated. The citrus and floral top is literally mouth watering in that way where you think about something sour and the back of your cheeks salivate. This is actually underrated if that's possible. 9/10

Mefisto's opening, but with a more persistent citrus opening with the lavender taking the stage to add a powdery affect. The powder gets stronger with the violet and iris, musk emerges to keep the scent refreshing and clean. There's a slight hint of leather on the drydown, but I don't see that accord listed for whatever reason. This is a lovely aromatic fougere for warm weather, I will definitely finish my sample once the weather goes warm again. Projects quite loudly and it's still going strong 4 hrs later.

MFK Aqua Universalis + Creed Silver Mountain Water I was with a meeting with my friend and I said really smell someone using Aqua Universalis so I have to open it up. Then he said it was Gentiluomo Mefisto. The there is a floral bomb on the initial spray like Aqua Universalis then it dries down to SMW. I forgot to put how good the performance of this is, as soon as I saw my friend from maybe 8 feet away, I can get a whiff of this and I didn't thought it was him because I haven't asked if he was wearing this.

one of the first fragrances ive smelled in a long time that literally made me close my eyes and say “oh my goodness”. to my nose, on clothes it’s not that similar to smw and deserves way, way more than to just be labeled as a clone (even though it technically came first). on my skin it indeed smells more like smw. gentiluomo has a little more of an ozonic/aquatic feel; clearly italian perfumery. comparisons aside, this is a masterpiece. it’s so fresh and beautiful it blows my mind.

It opens with a blast of citrus, I clearly see the Xerjoff fingerprint over here, as it does reminds me a bit of the opening of Nio (I actually smell a bit of neroli in MG, even though it is not listed as an official note). After a few minutes, the citrus notes tend to fade, leaving place to the majestic violet+rose combination(the orris is really subdued, at least to my nose). The drydown is basically the same as the OG. Elegant, it does exude sophistication without being loud.

First thing first: the original Mefisto is lovely - but this one is a damn masterpiece! A lovely citrus blast in the opening accompanied by a fantastic clean lavender - going into a more floral and truly gentleman scent. So the name Gentiluomo fits it perfectly! Wearing this in the summer dressed up makes me feel unstoppable. Therefore I will be wearing it this weekend at some friends wedding. A solid 10/10 from me 😍

This one is simply breathtaking, possibly one of the best Xerjoff ( including the Shooting Star lines). The dry down of original Mefisto is close to Mefisto Gentiluomo, but the opening of MG is more refined and subdued in a good way. I don't get the comparison to SMW as this MG is much classier and way smoother. Performance is good for about 6-8 hours with solid projection for the first 2-3 hours.

The original Mefisto is great, yet it's a tad harsh at the beginning. Gentiluomo is different with absence of that little harshness, completely refined, with a bigger presence of citrus. It's beyond pleasant. It's my all time favorite. Like it's made for a king, quality is great. It smells like heavens, complexity isn't crazy but still acceptable, sillage is really good and longevity is great.

This perfume captures the essence of two beautiful cities, Goa and Amalfi. It combines the vibrant and lively energy of Goa with the serene and picturesque charm of Amalfi, creating a unique and captivating scent. Just like these cities, this perfume is full of life, yet also has a sense of tranquility and elegance. It is the perfect scent for those who want to feel both energized and calm.

Mefisto Gentiluomo is very similar to Creed's Silver Mountain Water. I find the Mefisto's more beautiful with better longevity and silage. These fragrances just seem a little more finely tuned and they somehow have a little more depth, difficult to describe. Scent: 9/10 Silage: 9/10 [ 4+ Feet radius] Longevity: 8/10 [ 5+ Hrs afterwards it becomes skin sent] Bottle: 8.5/10 Price: 9/10

This does smell good. Had it before...kicking myself for getting rid of it. This is divine. It does smell like SMW by Creed if you remove the spiciness that is subtly present there. I prefer this OVER SMW because it lasts longer. The lavender shines more in this one and that herbaceous note is gorgeous! Overall:4.3 (perfect sillage longevity on a hot day!)

This is what a true gentleman smells like! Mefisto Gentiluomo is sophisticated and refined, with a perfect balance of citrus freshness and powdery elegance. The violet and lavender notes are divine, and the cedarwood base adds a touch of warmth and masculinity. It's definitely a scent that commands attention without being overpowering. Highly recommend!

This perfume is weird. I love the opening of citrus and lavender and the musky lavender dry down but for the life of me I can't detect any of the middle notes listed in here. Projection isn't strong but I don't mind since I'm wearing it for office and the longevity is quite good, last the whole work day

Ridiculous that some claim these are identical and no point owning both. Finally had the opportunity to wear this one today and it’s so much nicer than the original, much more of a citrus punch that makes it much easier and more pleasant to wear. Easily decipherable from the original

I received my 100ml honestly it is in the same flow as Crees silver mountain but in its own way, creed was having a bit small thing of edges something scratched my nose but ..... This one is absolute masterpiece Don’t believe any heaters until you tried it by yourself

Great blind buy. Picked it up because my wife loves citrus based and clean fragrances. This is it. Really rocks for a classic gent scent. Citrus, clean, and musk done really well. Just over 6 hours with decent projection for the first 2. Perfect for Sunday service.

Opening is a little sharp, but 5 minutes later my nose is locked in into my forearm. Great longevity, mine lasts me the entire day until I wash it off. I like this more than the og and it lasts longer. Update: This became my favorite fragrance in my collection.

Mefisto Gentiluomo is a mass-pleasing, easy-to-wear fragrance that is incredibly versatile and can be worn for any occasion. It's a masculine scent with a beastly SPL (Sillage, Projection, Longevity). I usually only need 4-6 sprays for the office environment.

I love it this is my first niche perfume the opening is amazing I can definitely say I fell in love with the blind buyable bottle design when I smelled the perfume I can say that I felt myself watching the mediterranean in Italy I say get it if you can 10/10

I agree with @frostyicy. I too get a barbershop type of vibe with this fragrance. This makes for an elegant, office scent. BTW, this has great performance. I have not tried the original Mefisto. But this is better in every way to Silver Mountain Water.

Silver Mountain Water is allegedly the male targeted Creed the ladies actually enjoy. Well, this is 80pc SMW, plus an uplifting violet note, which makes it wayyyy better. A beautiful and classy fragrance, albeit with just about okay performance. 4.5/5

Update a year or so in: I went from Like to Love. The most i wear it and the more i appreciate it. My family also loves it. Very mild, gentle, soft, slightly soapy, well blended. Dry down reminds me of Green Irish Tweed not a bomb but lasts long

I wish they create another flanker with more bergamot and citrus also less lavender and with adding a note of black currant to get the same inky feeling in SMW which will be tamed by the floral notes.

More modern or refined take on mefisto! Am I the only one found a muscular metallic note here!! Which is likeable on a man's perfum as it complements the iris-violet or Lavender with perfection!

Incredibly good "water" smell. Smells like water infused with rose petals, some lemon, lavender and orris root. I don't pick up amber or cedar whatsoever, maybe musk. 9/10 Scent 9/10 Longevity
