Tempio d'Acqua

I have been so eagerly awaiting this release and can say I absolutely love this scent! The day I received my bottle I couldn’t really smell and wasn’t sure what I thought of it. I’ve been wearing it for a few days and now it’s settled and find this really beautiful. Tempio d’acqua for me this is very similar to Xerjoff’s Elle, which I also love. To my nose there isn't a single note that stands out over another. I smell a combination of the peach, bergamot, vanilla and myrrh and the notes all blend together really well to my nose. I don’t detect any other notes. I also don’t find it synthetic, overpowering or harsh smelling, and I do overspray this one! This is everything I could want in a scent. It’s light, a little fresh but also has a resinous warmth from the myrrh, it’s sweet, creamy, ever so slightly powdery and lasts well. It could easily be worn year round, in any occasion and it’s an added bonus that the bottle is gorgeous. I’d say it’s unisex but leans feminine. It’s a 10/10 for me! I really hate Valaya and the exclusive version. To my nose, these aren’t similar at all. I’ve also seen comments that this smells similar to Blue Talisman. I’ve since sampled that one and they absolutely do not smell anything alike. I’ve only had my bottle a couple of days and have already put quite a dent in it. I’ve had several compliments on the fragrance and it will definitely be a repurchase. If Brighe’s review is anything to go by, this can only get better and it’s already easily my favourite scent!

It definitely needed to settle, or I needed to get oriented to it, because at first, I was getting spice, almost like the cinnamon opening of Tubereuse Astrale before the tuberose emerges. But this morning? It’s such a gorgeous, lightly spiced peachy force! I think the orange makes the peach bright, like the absolute perfect ripeness, barely tart, not too sweet, and a bit of spiced, aromatic vanilla. I was sensing a freshness to it amidst the well-blended complexity, and the “warmth” or “spice” but I think those are the sensory terms I had for aromatic vanilla. I was confused by the first wear, and it has grown on me in a way that I crave this perfume. It’s a grown-up spring and summer spicy-fruity gourmand to me.

Trouble came from where I least expected it 😅 Looking at the notes, I would’ve never thought this fragrance would be so up my alley. On my skin, the opening smells like fruity bubblegum, but as it develops, it starts to remind me of a fruity iced tea or like Nestea, though not quite as carefree, because the myrrh makes itself known, adding a pleasant resinous touch and a deeper character to the scent. The sweetness is delicate, and there’s also a lovely citrusy tartness shining through. I think this fragrance is absolutely fitting and worthy for spring and summer 👌🏻 And, to me, the color of the bottle reflects the essence of the scent perfectly - cheerful, playful, and feminine!

This is my next purchase for sure. So good, creative, interesting... It lacks the obviousness other spring and summer releases bear. I love how the peach here is done, a little androgynous. The fennel note didn't bother me at all - on the contrary, it made me love this fragrance even more! I thought I would get a freshie with this scent, but boy was I wrong... the base notes are my favorite part! Vanilla (not sweet, but herbal, natural) and myrrh are so freaking interesting in Tempio D'Acqua I cannot get enough of this! I would recommend this scent to literally anyone looking for a creative take on a spring/summer fragrance.

This fragrance is unique and doesn't smell like anything from the reminds me of section. Which is what makes it so good. This is a new combination of notes and stands on its own. If I had to compare to anything I'd say it's an aromatic Peach+Mandarin version of Lira (no 🍋). It's a smooth and sophisticated gourmand similar to Lira. I'd say they're cousins. And there is no ambro-musk feel despite the ambroxan note (Thank God!)... Perfect for Spring/Summer.

The opening has a distinctly peppery note to me that’s not listed; combined with the stone fruit, orange, vanilla and amber, the first comparison that comes to mind is BDK Pas Ce Soir. This is a bit lighter and less heady but also somehow warmer; still flirtatious, but in a more sensual come-hither way rather than a coy coquettish way. It will be hard for me to decide which of the two to buy a FB of.

This is so smooth and changes throughout the wear. It starts off bright and dries down sexy IMO. For me, this is as lovely as Dama Bianca and Lira. I do not mean they smell the same but, to me, it’s hard not to like any of the three mentioned. Erica (YouTube) mentioned it is a flormand and I totally agree. I am so happy it’s not too fruity. The fruit is merely in the first 5 minutes.

I love it. Got a sample and fell in love from the first sniff. On my skin it’s more of dried apricot rather than peach . Somehow reminds me of Jodhpur 6 am. Not the same smell but similar vibe. I can wear it at any time but probably more fall/winter fragrance. Will likely go for a full bottle.

Just tried it, the opening is beautiful, and is getting even better in the dry down, is classy and different, considering buying the full bottle.

I received Tempio d’aqua today, and from the very first spray I knew it was something special. The opening is bright and very fresh, with that sparkling quality that slightly reminded me of Herba Pura—but it doesn’t stay there. It takes that initial vibe and moves into something more aquatic, cleaner, and more expansive. As it develops, the fragrance becomes even fresher, almost ethereal. There’s a note that stands out in a very unique way—unlike anything else in my collection. I suspect it’s mahonial; it has that modern, watery-floral character, almost translucent, that feels completely different from anything more traditional and gives the fragrance its distinct identity. This scent transports me straight to summer on the Tyrrhenian Sea: salty breeze, sun-warmed skin, and the gentle sound of water brushing against the rocks. But it’s not just any summer—it feels refined, minimal, almost artistic. It’s definitely not for everyone, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting. This is the kind of fragrance that draws attention quietly—someone will ask what you’re wearing, or at least look at you with curiosity. It’s different, bold, but in the best possible way. A fragrance for someone who dares to step outside the usual while keeping a sense of elegance.

First Impression Review Fresh Batch (05426N) As a long time Xerjoff fan, this was a release I was very much looking forward to given the looks. My bottle is from a very recent batch & this is clearly reflected in the scent. On first spray, I detect peach, with very little presence of bergamot or mandarin. In the heart, there is a light touch of hay and labdanum, giving a dry, slightly powdery impression. It reminds me of powdered sugar lightly dusted over dry hay. At this stage I am not getting much myrrh, vanilla, or ambroxan, and the fragrance feels somewhat restrained and not fully developed. From experience with other Xerjoff releases, I believe this is due to the freshness of the batch- it happened with Gibeon- which was very flat at first sniff and now after few months developed into something magical! I will put this into a cabinet & revisit it after this period to assess how it evolves and whether the base notes become more pronounced and the composition more cohesive. For now it’s nothing groundbreaking or distinctive and I will provide an update in due course.

This is an incredibly complex and intriguing fragrance. At first, it feels very uplifting and fruity, with a bright and inviting opening. However, on my skin, it quickly transitions into a very prominent fennel-like note. Unfortunately, that particular facet doesn’t work for me, which means I won’t be purchasing a full bottle. That said, I will definitely finish the sample I bought, as the fragrance itself is interesting and well-crafted. On me, though, once the top notes fade (which happens fairly quickly) it smells almost entirely like fennel to my nose.

Everyone talks about Tempio d'Acqua as a spring and summer fragrance, but on my skin it's something entirely different. Beneath the peach and citrus lies a warm, resinous heart of myrrh and vanilla that reminds me of sitting by a fireplace on a cool evening. It's comforting, intimate, and surprisingly cozy rather than purely fresh. A fragrance that proves seasons are only suggestions; sometimes a so-called summer scent can feel like a warm embrace by the fire.

I purchased a 5ml sample. I really like it! I usually don't care for peach in fragrances. But this is good. Not too sweet, light enough for spring and summer. And it lasts on the skin. Though it reminds me of something in my collection that I can't put my finger on. Maybe Levant by Ormand Jayne? Regardless, it's lovely, and I might consider a full bottle when it hits the grey market.

Not my thing. Nice, but certainly not my thing. Beautiful bottle. But, my wife loves it. Peach stands out for me in the opening. But there is a tartness or a sour feel. Then I get some herbal touch and musk. Really great performance. Happy hunting.

I’ll give credit to xerjoff where credit is due. It’s a unique idea for a perfume. A soft spicy and citrusy amber... but this thing is poorly blended to the point where you could mistake it for a $15 middle eastern perfume. The ambroxan is sharp and not blended with the other notes, the fennel is a nice touch, but also synthetic, and the citrus is this weird mix of sharp headache-inducing musky sourness. Typically, the *only* thing about Xerjoff’s that I enjoy is their bottle... but this bottle is so ugly as well. I’m not trying to be a hater because I do enjoy the idea of this, it was just not executed well at all. (Wearing this at time of review)

Unfortunately, I will not be adding this whimsical bottle to my collection, even though I genuinely hoped I would. Tempio d'Acqua is a sweet, sticky, syrupy fragrance that didn't meet my expectations. The opening is dominated by peach in a synthetic, overly sweet way, and it dries down into something vague and heavily chemical-smelling. It's somewhere between cough syrup, bubblegum, and a hair product, but not in a remotely good way. I also tested Kilian's Her Majesty, and it gave me a similar impression. Why do these big houses incorporate peach in such a poor way?

And it's a fantastic fragrance, if I may add. *** Unfortunately, the fragrance itself was terrible on me: messy, confusing, and not enjoyable at all. I bought it, but I eventually swapped it with another fellow fragrance nerd. At least it found a new home!

Yucky! What is going on here. Strong peach caramel resin smell. Not good on my skin.. made me nauseous immediately. The spice smells like BO a tiny bit on my skin. Then it just stays like this sticky sweet myrrh mess. Crazy how so many people will like a perfume then I spray it on my skin and it smells so funky. Glad I sampled. And I like a lot of Xerjoff perfumes!!!

Valaya is that you? It’s not spot on the same but it has a strong resemblance to me with some tweaks. I don’t care for Valaya but if you do you might like this. Sweet, fruity, citrus but the citrus is overshadowed by the peach note. Extremely synthetic for my tastes and too abrasive. Easy pass for me. Strong sillage and good lasting power. And as a few other reviews on a different site mentioned, fruity hairspray. Edit: Finished my sample and tested one more time on a hot day and there is still something in this that smells Valaya like, something in the dna without smelling like that fragrance specifically but wearing it again, this time outside vs inside, I’m still getting mostly fruity notes, with the dominate fruit being peach and all the fruity notes are not smoothly blended imo. I had read that this was supposed to envoke a spa but there’s nothing calming or spa like about this scent to me or the type of spas I visit at least. It’s a fruity sweet scent, heavy on aroma chemicals. Somewhat creamy but mostly just fruity and sweet to me. I read a review on another website saying it smelled like gummy worms to them lol and yeah I can get that vibe. Mostly just fruity hairspray though 🤭 and still, nothing spa like about it to me, which is what I wanted. Too synthetic and harsh smelling for my personal tastes and becomes annoying to wear for me quickly but someone who loves fruity and sweet scents and is okay with the use of a lot of ambroxan would probably enjoy it. Leans fem but still unisex.

This is cute. It reminds me of something and it's close to Apricot Innocence but less punchy and tart, this is like a smooth sweet breeze. Thinking the myrrh keeps it from being too sweet and staying sweet it layers the sweetness with a small amount of depth. The peach in here is nice not too loud but stays present This a girlie pop scent perfect for spring. I'd buy it...on sale lol

Unlike reviewers below, I wish I got some bubblegum, or peachy scents from this fragrance. Unfortunately, as much as I want the bottle, all I got on my skin is myrrh and I can’t stand it.

On my skin all I smell is fennel. the fennel is extremely strong. I don't get any of the bubblegum notes.

This smells NOTHING like Valaya, Fleur Narcotique or Levant. Ignore everyone of those “reminds me of”
