Beautiful Day L'Eau Original

Glad to finally be able to get it, I missed this fragrance very much. Had my friend to get it from the exclusive distributor in France. Comparing this to the the old version - the old Beatiful day upon the initial inhale is a strong sharp bitter almond that incredibly and unexpectedly fades into a lovely soft and cozy skincare product almond sitting close to your skin, scent that is not too sweet but delicious. Amazing longevity, especially on fabric. The new version is sweet from the very beginning and stays the same throughout the day. Pretty durant and projecting too, I could smell it on myself without sniffing the skin. And several days after traces of yhe scent still haunted my clothes. I have an impression it was modified to suit the popular trends and to get the liking of a wider audience. The new bottle design: It feels nice to hold, I like the magnetic cap and thick glass, but seems like it have also lost the individuality and the taste of Castelbajac. I love the new version just as the old one, but it feels a little sad that it had to be changed like this. It was very unique, now not as much.

Un grand bonheur de retrouver mon parfum doudou à l'amande de Castelbajac !Déception de ne plus avoir l'adorable flacon dessiné par le couturier qui me plaisait tant. Le nouveau flacon est d'une banalité affligeante. Mais bon, le jus est toujours aussi addictif et régressif et le prix au 100 ml a bien baissé. Je m'en suis commandé 2 grands flacons pour ne pas manquer et chouette, vais passer une belle journée en le portant ! Edit : sa longévité et sa tenue sont nettement inférieures à la version ancienne ( le joli façon dessiné par JC de Castelbajac). J'ai les 2 versions sur mes poignets, il n'y a pas photo. La fragrance est identique, peut-être un peu moins riche et profonde. Cela reste une belle odeur d'amande amère avec le coté propre et savonneux des parfums barber shop. Beautiful Day peut être tout à fait porté par un homme qui aime les odeurs un peu sucrées ou gourmandes.

Nice but easy to Forget. It’s a fresh floral almondy scent. Too weak for me. À Maurice Roucel creation perfect for Young and romantic girls.
