Lilac Eau de Toilette

More fresh perfumey than lilac...ey. but in the best way. I've had a solid 5-6 hours on skin (limited sillage). If I'm feeling more of a floral moment, I will layer this with other more true to nose lilac floral (Totally White is my current favorite), which can be super overwhelming to the sinuses, and it mellows them out delightfully. I absolutely love this scent on its own though. Layered with their lilac bar soap that has permanently scented my bathroom in lilac, I feel very whimsical, airy garden witch vibes. Easily in my top 5 Spring/Summer list now!

I love it so much that I got the travel size today and I’ve already ordered a full size. It’s just lilacs—real, green, soft, lovely.

The most photorealistic Midwest lilac perfume I have ever smelled.

I have grown up with lilac bushes in our area, and I have two lilac bushes on my property now. I know what lilac smells like. Along with several other fragrances from the Aerin line, I have Aerin's Lilac Path. I also have the nicely affordable Pacifica French Lilac. I have a sample of Casswell Massey's Lilac EDT from Lucky Scent. I have a favorable impression of it. I find it quite pleasant. I think Casswell Massey's Lilac EDT smells as if Aerin made a high quality aquatic fruity floral, such as their Wild Geranium. But note that in Casswell Massey's Lilac EDT, the lilac note is buried a bit low in the scent notes. You have to focus to detect it. Those who like fruity florals that are not particularly indolic may find this enjoyable, as lilac is quite strong in real life. Compared to Aerin's Lilac Path, I find Casswell Massey's Lilac EDT to be greener and less sugary sweet. They are more akin to cousins and not sisters. And Casswell Massey's Lilac EDT is not really comparable to Pacifica's French Lilac: the Pacifica one is a much denser floral, and more like realistic lilac than the other two fragrances.

This is the epitome of springtime. It's incredibly fresh. I get a prominent green tea note in the opening. It is very floral but a bright, fresh floral that remains youthful and sweet on the skin. When I smell it, I imagine a spring garden party and wearing a white linen dress.

Okay this one is straight-up giving spring garden energy like VERY lilac... fresh, green, and kinda dewy at the start, then it softens into a light floral with a tiny warm suede vibe.

Really nice humid green floral, but after an hour it has a slight whiff of stale breath. I still kind of like it, but for me it would only be good for layering.

I have travel sprays of Orchid and Almond. I do occasionally enjoy a nice lilac. Particularly in early Spring when it's still a bit cool out. I like the opening of this one. It goes for the fresher, early bloom, more watery and somewhat green. I think on it's own, that fresh lilac accord wouldn't last so the addition of heavier base notes makes sense to give it longevity. But! I don't like the base. It doesn't smell like the soft luxury of suede. It smells rather generic and flat. I agree with PracticalRevs about "Macy's counter" generically floral designer stuff. I do think Pacifica does it better.

"Lilac" has only the barest detectable notes of lilac, and are rather much stronger on the "Macy's fragrance counter aura" florals more attributed to lily of the valley, but are a bit artificial even for that. The amber low note is accurate, and it is certainly not sweet, but this is nothing like the unique, lilac-forward scent I was looking for.

This smells humid and stem-y in such a realistic way. So sweet and pretty.
