LX48

I realy like this offering from them its my fav that i have tried from their house though i inly tried a few i really like this ....it will be a go to fall/winter frag for when i wanna smell different and not like every other dude that buys colognes from macys because they seen the ad campaign on TV or some BS because a-lot of the new scents are starting to smell similar the perfumers find certain notes and just push the f out of em on us and well we end up just choosing the one we like best knowing its nothing special and thats the main stream designer world of frags so step up switch up drop the extra cash n go niche indie whatever once u open up your horizons to something besides blue aquatic axe shower gel scents and yes there r a select few i like and love actually but they are played out and are worn ny just about every fukboi u come in contact with if they care about their scent u cam bet they will b wearing some blue scent like chanel BDC or dylan blue and dior sauvage invictius and 1 million and we could go on and on yeah the almighty aventus the one everything from since it hit the market smells like now a days lol but back to 48 i like it a-lot and wear it quite often its one that grows on u and u have to let it settle to get its best qualities and violet is a prominent note in this that they dont list its tobacco leather violet oakmoss i cant think of anything that smells quite like it but this is another u shouldn't blind buy it will def offend some and is not a “safe” scent and heavy trigger finger could cause evacuation of offices and complaining from weak a coworkers so def get a decant or sample if possible and go from there def save it for the fall winter and cool cold days to get its real vibe LX48 winner in my book !!!!! Like i always say this is my opinion and it will be different for you because we have different noses that pick up different notes and chemistry is not the same and thats the biggest thing so this will be awesome for u or terrible or just meh so dont take my word for it or the next dude or the next girl or the next persons opinion urs is the most important always and thats with anything in life right??? Remember this opinions are like as****** EVERYONE HAS ONE !!!!!!so have your own and love it and do what u want to and like what u like and f the rest of us lol

First I need to get this out of the way.... Fragrantica posted an incomplete list of notes, as it's missing the Violet (which, imo causes this to lean a bit feminine). LX48 is exactly what I've been searching for, in a Winter fragrance. Leather, woods, violet, and tobacco. Oak Moss is not my favorite, but in this, it blends so well with the other notes. It's a bit strong at first, and my initial thoughts were in line with the first reviewer, in that it reminds me slightly of Tom Ford leather offerings, which I love. It pretty quickly settles in close to the skin, and I do wish the longevity was a bit better. The price isn't outrageous, but it's certainly not cheap. Been obsessing over this scent, since I received it in a fragrance subscription. Guess a full bottle of LX48 is going on my Christmas list. Lord knows I've been good....

This is a scent that'll be more divisive.It certainly has an older smell to it, which was their intention. I think more first half of the 1900s business man in their 50-70s. The tobacco gives the most inconsistent performance for me. Sometimes, it becomes the only smell after a 4 hour wear. Other times it's barely noticeable. It isn't the sweet cherry tobacco that's commonly used. It's more of a dirty/earthy cigar tobacco (probably a large part to do with the oakmoss). The opening of this is leather, tends to be the predominate scent...usually throughout the life of the fragrance. For me, I get about 4 hours of projection and then it'll sit very close to the skin. If you put it on your clothes, it will last for a couple days.

This is fabulous stuff. I bought the smaller bottle because Caswell Massey has so few stores anymore I couldn't smell it before buying. It was so good I already bought a second small bottle. (Ok, they had an online sale.) Yes, they're marketing this as a man's fragrance, and it's definitely masculine. But I'm a 70+ year old woman and I love wearing it. If you're used to Tom Ford fragrances and strong oud fragrances, this won't bother you. It's really not as strong as they are. The violet is definitely there, not at all cloying, and the cedar and the oakmoss are not overpowering. Caswell Massey usually does better with masculine fragrances, and LX48 I think is their best in a long time.

I bought the soap first and loved the scent and had to buy the fragrance. The violet is less prominent in the fragrance but it is a great fall/winter scent, warm and sophisticated.
