Marem Eau de Parfum

I can't even argue with ryetoast, the only other person who has reviewed this perfume. All I can say is that I like it, and tastes vary. To my nose Marem smells like a vintage rose soap in an old cedar chest, with powdery amber and a touch of eucalyptus in the base. The eucalyptus note smells very green, tender, searching, and reminds me a bit of the camphoraceous notes in certain tuberose and jasmine perfumes like Carnal Flower, Bronze Goddess, and Alien Essence Absolue. My husband didn't care for Marem at all, but I think it's a somewhat more subdued and wearable take on Portraif of a Lady, even though this perfume is supposedly based on a recipe from the early 20th century, if memory serves--the favored scent of some charismatic Russian ballerina perhaps? At any rate, I just bought a travel sprayer of this, and I probably won't buy a full bottle. Not because I don't like it, but because it is pricey, and I have so many woody-rose chypre-style fragrances already that I consider superior. Still a fine perfume, and I never regret putting it on the way I do with certain other polarizing fragrances.

Vintage meets modernism. Marem holds a lovely green and berry note that carries itself all throughout. It's simple, subtle and I don't find it offensive and that's what I like about it. Not everyone will like this however but I appreciated it enough to buy a full bottle because it is a very "independent" perfume (which goes along with who Marem was to begin with). It's something I'll wear to the next speakeasy I go to. I don't reach for this everyday, but when I do, I really enjoy and appreciate it. Unisex for sure

I have a mini of this and it is something that my husband and I have both worn. It is a fruity rose with a bit of a sour and camphor bite to it. Personally I think think it is more unisex but it is marked towards women. It's something I would wear more in the summer time but my husband thinks it is year round. If you like tart sour red berry roses with a bit of a camphor eucalyptus twist this is a fun one.

strong red-current at first, within twenty minutes you find the eucalyptus which continues the fresh airy feel of this fragrance. Smells like when a friend puts on a fruity bath and body works hand sanitizer while you’re sitting outside at a picinic.
