Rose Eau de Parfum

Formerly known as Beatrix. Rose from Caswell Massey is a lovely fresh rose that isn't to fruity but has a lovely musky quality. I wear this a lot in the summer months. Finding a good fresh and musky rose that smells realistic and has longevity and projects well is difficult. Caswell and Massey has done it with this. Reminds me of summers spent at my grandma's taking naps in the hammock by the rose bushes. I own all 3 of the florals in this range. Rose, Peony and Orchid. All are lovely easy dumb reaches for hot spring and summer days. They are light, refreshing but they also last and project well which is a challenge with lighter perfumes. A very good line. Edit: I have sampled Delina 3 times and I just don't get the hype around that overpriced sour rose. For me Caswell & Massey hit it out of the park with their Rose perfume. It is one of the best clean, fruity rose fragrances I've encountered and the price is reasonable, especially since they have sales all the time.

Caswell Massey does such a fine job with their florals; who else to trust with their history and involvement with the botanicals? I already own Lilac and Orchid. I was very curious with Rose and bought a travel size, and I am not disappointed. It smells just at the stage where the bud plumes fully and the petals are feathery. It's a sharp rose scent and if i could specify the color, it would be a dense red one. I am already a middle-aged woman and I could imagine someone older wearing it without smelling too granny.

This gives me grandma vibes, but in the best way. It smells timeless, elegant, and oh so fresh. “Soapy” comes to mind. I don’t really get much fruit aside from the citrus, but I think I like it that way. It’s uncomplicated. I feel like rose can either be on the heady, sweet side, or it can have a sharper quality to it. I would say this is the latter. I personally don’t think I would buy this scent as it simply isn’t my style, but I think it’s beautiful and I would recommend it to any rose lover.

Clean rosy skin with a little bite to it. Definitely a summer everyday fragrance.

Clean clean clean. A just stepped out of the shower rose. Paired back and straight forward. I am a rose fanatic who typically prefers jammy, fruity, or dewy roses (Rose Saltifolia and Delina are favorites) but this frag from Caswell-Massey is a nice one. It is slightly sharp in that way you’d expect from a soapy rose. It does lean into that mature, vintage vibe. I smell more English rose than Damascena or Centifolia. Makes me feel like I am passing by neat, tidy English rose bushes trimmed to perfection by paid gardeners. 8 or 9 /10.
