Style de Paris

I received this in my birchbox several months ago and it was what propelled me to 're-explore fragrances. I expected to totally hate it, but found myself spritzing it in the air wondering just what it was that drew me to it. I finally tried it, and its now my 2nd favorite frag. The fruits, especially the pear, come on very strong but die down after about an hour, and then the florals kick in, followed by the patchouli. I love florals, and though it doesn't say so here the birchbox site mentions it has Jasmine in it which is one of my favorite florals. I do tend to mix it with my BBW Japanese cherry blossom to tone down the fruitiness even more, but all in all a great scent.

This is still one of my favorites. It has a sweet spring smell with a patchouli dry-down, making it perfect for a rainy day. It is true that it isn't long-lasting and dries down quickly, so feel free to spray liberally.

This is a bright and cheery orange and grapefruit scent, with a hint of patchouli. Reminds me just a bit of my bottle of Chic by Carolina Herrera for it's citrusy brightness. To me it's very, very sweet, but not gourmand enough. It's only a "like" for me, so I'll probably be passing this one along.

This is so sweet and floral, but it still feels grown up. It definitely isn't a perfume targeted at teenagers, but it still feels fun, fresh, and young. The patchouli does a wonderful job of balancing out the sweetness of the pear and orange.

I love the sweet pear with the patchouli dry down. I just wish the sillage was a bit stronger/longer. For me it barely makes it 2 hours, even under clothing and close to the skin it vanishes on me.

Nice....sweet and fruity. It goes away too fast though. After a couple of hours all I am left with is pachouli. That kind of makes me sad.

Tried a sample. Smelled very nice, kind of fruity. Sillage was not strong, but did last 3 hours, close to skin. Found it nice, but not memorable. Not a "must have" for me. Happy smelling! :)

Lovely opening that vanishes to nothing in 2 hours or less. I can't tell you anything about how the scent evolves because it just never lasted long enough on me to actually evolve.

Heavy patchouli bomb with a sharp gardenia note. I find this to be extremely cloying and headache-inducing. I wish I got the sweetness others mention, but this is a scrubber for me.

I do not have a strong or very accurate sense of smell. So I am wondering why this smells strongly of licorice to me, though it contains none. Am I misidentifying something else? from 2021 to 2025... it's interesting to find an old review/note. This must have had more longevity back in 2021, but it has absolutely lost it. I cannot detect it unless to put my nose to my wrist and even then it doesn't last long. Not a purchase I would repeat. I wouldn't recommend paying much on the secondary market for a Catherine Malandrino and I am left uninterested in buying any of her newer fragrances. Just not worth the investment.

I am surprised I actually like it even though its on the sweet side.It's more fruity than floral which I like but still has more of a adult scent at the end which must be the patchouli
