Figue de Vigne Eau Fraiche

This is a summer mist to wear in your bag and refresh yourself with it. A clean fig smell with some citrus trace. Love(ly) scent

Beautiful opening. The fig is detectable without being to milky and warm. I usually shy away from figs but this I can wear. However, the drydown is soapy, in a boring way. I agree with miaou that this series of fragrances by Caudalie(except the one in deep purple bottle) remind me of Hermes garden series. Longevity is poor. I felt like it was more like a cologne.

This one was a bit of a disappointment for me. I got a bottle on a whim because Rose de Vigne from the same series was such a pleasant surprise, and fig scents are my favourity category in all of perfumery - so I thought Figue de Vigne would be a safe bet for me. And it's not that it's really bad, but unfortunately it doesn't do much for me, beyond the rather promising woody/green opening. I don't think I would have picked up on it by myself, but now that I've seen others on this page describe the way this fragrance dries down as "window cleaner", I have to say I agree, and it doesn't take long to reach that point either. JoeMacchiato puts it a little less harshly and calls it "soapy in a boring way", but it more or less amounts to the same thing, so I guess we're unanimous here. Too bad, but at this price it was worth trying!

OMG! I really should have paid attn to the neg reviews. I tracked this baby down bc I love Caudalie AND fig so this should be a no-brainer but this strongly reminds me of the old style Chinese medicine with ginseng that Grandpa used to take. I think it's the coriander and cedar. Now I know to stay away from both forever. If I use a little imagination, I can see "window cleaner" but really it's exactly old Chinese medicine.
