Rose de Vigne

What a pleasant surprise that is! I generally don't risk blind buys, but after smelling the other scents from the line I decided to get this one in a pretty set with a roll-on and a shower gel. Price-quality ratio is very good! The notes listed are wrong, at least according to the website. It's rhubarb -rose- white musk. Fresh, light, clean rose and rhubarb is exactly what I smell on my skin and clothes. Notes smell natural, not synthetic. I will be testing the longevity, but for this kind of product it seems fine - maybe an hour on skin, better on clothes (up to few hours). It's definitely good to have in a bag to refresh yourself on a warm day, it is meant for that purpose, not to last long, and I can imagine it working very well in summer! Price allows to spray generously, and by the way, this bottle has an excellent sprayer. It's the prose of life, but this one allows you to spray big or small spritzes, which I personally value. :-) I prefer natural ingredients when possible, so another plus for this product (91% natural)

Returning from a trip from France, it turns out my husband accidentally bought me the wrong Caudalie scent, which as you can guess was Rose de Vigne. I use it anyway, and hey I actually love it! It's rather interesting. Sometimes it smells like a jammy rose, sometimes it makes me imagine dark pink roses. Sometimes it's a teeny bit musky, other times it has a sharp something to it that makes me think of the stems and thorns of the rose bush. I'm not surprised that I enjoy Rose de Vigne so much, seeing its nose is Ralf Schwieger, the creator of another one of my most favourite rose perfumes, Lipstick Rose. {Just a note, I'm not comparing Rose de Vigne with Lipstick Rose because they are completely different.} Even though Rose de Vigne is far from having great performance, at its price point and being "simply" a fresh fragrance, I can't complain :)

Love love love this perfume. I've been looking for a rose perfume that's not overpowering and a little musky. I tried Rose essentielle by Bvlgari (warm rose is not my thing and doesn't last long), Aura by Swarovski (very elegant but a bit overpowering and unfit for everyday use), Moment de bonheur by Yves Rocher(sweet rose smell which I enjoy but rose is not the only thing you smell and the bottle is too.. plain). So when I went to the drugstore just to look and spritz a bit on my wrist, I didn't think that not only would that last almost 6 hours and it would be a rose based perfume that I could use every day. In short, love love. And the price is reasonable, always a plus.

Such a nice and delicate musky rose! 🥰 It’s like a rose aura you keep smelling around yourself! Very pleasant, discreet (not in your face), quite elegant I would say. I love a well crafted rose scent. I also use the classic Chloe, but sometimes I find it a bit sharp. Caudalie perfumes are all so delicate and well blended. Nothing offensive, they work very well as everyday scents. They just uplift your mood and give “feel good” vibes. My favorite so far is “Parfum Divin”, because it smells like linden and it’s the only linden I’ve encountered so far in my perfume journey.

I’m not an expert, but I love this perfume! I smell the rose and rhubarb the most when I spray it. But weirdly the combination of the different notes also reminds me of watermelon a bit? After a whole day it leaves you with a nice white musk scent. The longevity and spillage isn’t that great, but that can be expected as it’s not really expensive. I think rose de vignes is a feminine floral scent without the overbearing sweetness that often comes with women perfumes. Very refreshing, reminds me of spring.

The scent surprised in a good way! The mix of rhubarb and rose can never go wrong for me in a scent. It smells like fresh cut roses in a pool of water. It’s a fresh and light scent that sits close to your skin. For the price it’s also a great buy. U do need to reapply throughout the day but the bottle isn’t super heavy so I don’t mind bringing it with me. I would really recommend it if you love floral scents.

A beautiful scent that is like rose jam, rhubarb, pink rose petals and face cream were to all be blended and strained through a cloth. such a fresh fragrance. oddly enough, i like to wear it during wintertime as it smells more intense as is clashes with the cold humid air

So I'm new to fragrances, so I don't know how relevant my opinion might be or not. But there you go. While browsing my preferences I discovered I loved rose scents. So I tried it earlier at the drugstore while at work. After 2 hours it was still as strong on me, so I had to return for it. It's definitely several notes sweeter than other rose fragrances I've tried but it's not a gooey sickly sweet. It's heady but not the kind that gives you a headache. It's more of a warm rose rather than fresh. The other fragrances in the line (yes I tried them all) do not smell as good or last as long. I was recently gifted the Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Toilette for her - the one with rose and peony, and while I fell in the love with the scent it barely lasted an hour. So this one, at this price point does a good job.

The official notes are rose, rhubarb and musk, but all I get is a jammy rose - literally - I get exactly the same strange sensation at the back of my throat when I sniff this and when I smell rose petal jam! The sensation is sharp and kind of soapy in a way that only rose can be. The sharpness quickly disappears, and the actual scent follows it not too long after, even on clothes. It's a beautiful sweet rose fragrance but I just can't reapply every hour or so. I think I'm going to use it as a perfume for my correspondence or any kind of packages I have to send because it lasts remarkably long on paper for some strange reason!

I used to find rose scents too sharp and overpowering, but I really like this. It's not sharp at all, in fact, it's almost too sweet for me sometimes. I'm slightly confused why Caudalie claims this has rhubarb in it, but Fragrantica says it's cassis...

Blind bought that one on a whim because of rhubarb. Not only I love rhubarb jam or compote, but also, this note was uncommon a few years ago. I erroneously imagined Rose de Vigne to be Molton Brown Delicious Rhubarb & Rose's sibling (why don't they have a fragrance version???) Same experience as Coffeecup's: disappointing. But to be fair, I should have known better since rose is a hit or miss with me. No florals, no freshness, no dewiness. Only extreme sourness, almost like curdled dairy, and painfully sharp. So unpleasant. On a hot day, I tried it again and it became slightly palatable: on the tart side but still nose wrinkling and eyes squinting sour. The whole stuff softens after 40 mins, yet, the rose remains generic, with that acid tinge (think sweaty feet) I loathe when it’s a miss. That juice isn't on a pricy side but there are EDT much cheaper that smell far more expensive than this. Anyway, thank you Coffeecup for your tip!

Tested a spray on the top of my hand. Rose and Musk. Unfortunately for me, neither the creamy kind of rose notes nor the fresh mini rose. Just the usual, unpleasant (for me) rose note I find in little girl's fragrances. Not for me. It does last longer and have more intensity than the usual for Caudalie.

I miss roses on my vanity. I miss those sweet, fresh, dewy, uplifting, voluptious roses in my wardrobe, so I hoped that this one would fit perfectly. Yet... nope. it's sour and watery, sometimes peppery, just a mess with fake rose, and lots of rhubarb. Nope. An update: with warmer temperatures the scent turns sweeter! Quite a bit sweeter tbh, and more floral. Hmh, interesting. The rose is more of that heady, heavy rose oil kind of thing, not a fresh blossom. It's sweeter with a bit of body attached to it, and with a little "old-world-charm" . Wouldn't have expected that to happen after my "sour-slurry-experience" (lol) in September, and looking at the pale pink, sorta sparkly packaging. I'll keep experimenting, maybe I'll like it after all. But don't expect chandeliers, ballrooms nor rose gardens, this is still a far cry. An update 3 years later. Omg, I had a revelation! This tries to be no other then Aerin's Garden Rose!!! Oh dear... Let's see. There is a resemblance in the dry down. Hmh. But seriously. If it's Garden Rose then it's watered down, diluted, sterilised, ripped off of all garments... And Garden Rose is an eau de cologne to begin with. So. There you go. It's a cousin, alright. A third cousin once removed. Or however you say that in English.

I'm having the same kind of love affair with this one as I had with Roger & Gallet's Fleur de Figuier last summer: smelled it quite by chance in a pharmacy where it was on display, fell in love with its straightforward charm at first sight, bought it quite soon after, and lived happily ever after. It's definitely the same kind of fragrance, the ultimate kind of fruity floral in my eyes: just tart and just sweet enough, juicy and bright and so uplifting. Although it's not mentioned in the notes list here, according to the box and my own nose the main note besides rose is rhubarb, and the combination works delightfully well. It's just a very happy, uncomplicated scent, it always puts me in a good mood. The only pity is I found Rose de Vigne in late August instead of, say, the beginning of May, seeing it's so perfect for late spring and especially summer. It doesn't matter, though: I'm sure it'll keep until next year, and in the mean time it'll afford me glimpses into carefree summer days with every sniff all winter long.

I am a true fan and supporter of Caudalie and her founder Mathilde Thomas. Love her skin products as well!!! This wonderful fragrance makes me feel so fresh, feminin and a little bit french ;-) A beautiful sofisticated light floral which is very very pleasant and makes you dream away about la Belle France. Love!

Caudalie, like dolce&gabbana, armani and some others, tests on animals so there is no way I am buying any of their products. No matter how good they are (which they are not).

This is a great scent if you like "Rose Pompon" by Annick Goutal and "Rhubarb & Rose" by Molton Brown. The longevity is pretty decent for this budget friendly fragrance.
