Pure Brilliance

I have VS Pear Glacee, and BBW Pear&Cashmere Woods, and wanted something a little different, but still with pear notes. I read reviews on Pure Brilliance, and ordered a small bottle based on those. This is exactly what I wanted. It is a little on the sweet side, but not in a bad way - and my taste runs to unisex citrus aromatics, and very green, slightly bitter scents. The fresh pear combined with the honeysuckle and lily of the valley with the addition of green notes work very well, at least on me, as does the light woody base. I agree with other reviewers that it has little longevity, but fragrances of this type rarely do. I'll definitely buy it again when my small bottle is gone.

I absolutely love this perfume!! I wear it all the time! It's very feminine and I just love that it smells like this great combo of fruits & flowers, but there's also something sweet underneath the fruits & flowers (vanilla I think). I also like that that touch of sweetness isn't overpowering or syrupy, like someone says. I detest sweet fragrances, so if this was "syrupy" I would not wear it. It's also really long lasting on my skin, more so than my other perfumes. I sprayed it on at 10 am & I could still smell it at 8pm whenever I moved! Will definitely buy again!

European blueberry (bilberry) + honeysuckle + pear + cold note of wet pebbles (I do agree with @sailorpluto). Cold, flowery, not sweet at all, fresh, ethereal. Like the scent of air after a storm. It's a very nice cheapie, probably the best of all Celine Dion fragrances. Reminds me some light fresh Tommygirl flankers. CKbe also has the same hint european blueberry in it's drydown (both fragrances are not similar!, only the blueberry note) Color: Indigo.

Really really fine one and being edt is very good Bright and pure sheer scent My type and I enjoy it I am gonna buy a new bottle of pure brilliance just because of originality of scent , lasting power is to weak ,but quite enough to enjoy for me and maybe perfect for a summer,I think.Composition is well blended notes of light fruity florals and pure green leaves Clean and fresh I like it a lot...And the price,yes,I like it a lot...

Perfume that got lots of compliments when I used to wear it and personally loved the smell of it, too. Tnis fragrance is beautifully blended and uplifting. A very springy scent. Could detect all the notes mentioned in the perfume pyramid. Not an ordinary celeb fragrance, I must say :)

Beautiful pears and apples on my skin. I plan on blayering this with a beautiful pear lotion I have for extra oomph . I have passed this beauty over time and again. Turned my nose up because it was Celine Dion. I guess I learned something today !

it's a gd one , really like , love the bottle design and the color :) but it doesn't last on my skin , about 2 - 3 hrs and it's gone :(

It smells like Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal. If you love that scent you will enjoy this one at a fraction of the cost.

Beautiful. Mostly pear and apple, but I can still smell something more refined too. Makes me happy.

Lovely summer fragrance not heavy at all but lasts for a good while

Judging by the Céline Dion fragrances I have had the opportunity to wear or sample so far, it does seem like Céline has a thing for fruity notes ! This must be one of the fruitiest scent I have ever come across... Some reviewers find it airy and trasparent, but what it channels for me is picking ripe orchard fruit on a warm, sunny late summer/early fall afternoon.Very earthy. Apple, peach and freesia dominate in my opinion(peach isn't mentioned here, but check the notes on celinedionbeauty.com). It takes time to finally catch whiffs of honeysuckle and lily of the valley, which, although they remain in the background, do a good job of balancing the exuberant quality of the sweet and sensual fruit accord. This scent isn't complex; it may lack depth, but it is very pleasant, cheerful, unassuming and feminine, a bit like I imagine C. Dion to be ( I am not a fan of hers, but she does seem to be more grounded and approachable than many celebs). Sillage is good, in fact in can become overpowering if you use to much. On the other hand, the longevity is nothing to write home about, so what I woild recommend is to use a little at a time every 3 hours on average. A round bottle would have been a better idea I think,since there isn't anything square or sharp here.

Bought this today after a quick sniff, because it was a bargain price, and i wanted something casual and light for summer. I'm really bad in detecting different notes, but as soon as i sniffed this, i though "lily". Was curious to see the actual notes, so ofc, when i got home, logged on here. Lily of the valley in the heart notes, yay me :)! I get the lily from start to finish. I love the smell of real lily flowers, and i think this perfume captured it quite well. Wasn't sure that i'd like lily in my perfume though, but seems that i do. To me this perfume is all about lily, on a woody base. I don't get much fruits luckily, because fruity perfumes always seem to turn somewhat sour on my skin. I think i smell a touch of pear though, which adds a freshness to this. A warm and sunny fragrance with a hint of sweetness, daytime casual wear. Nothing extraordinary, but it's pretty, will be perfect on warm summer days.

It starts with a combination of green some and pear, similar to Paris Hilton With Love. However, apart from the top notes, the similarities end. This fragrance transitions into a combination of tart fruits and Lily. Edit: Tried it again in cooler weather. This time, I smelled it without reviewing the notes. I thought I smelled some synthetic berries in the top notes. The initial scent reminded me of shower gel, since it had the same sort of sharpness to it. The middle notes were quite nice but only lasted a few minutes. The drydown is faint and only remains on the skin. It seems like it has the strength of a body spray, but it's lasted 8 hours on the back of my hand, and that's highly impressive. I just wish it projected a little more.

Not bad, but it has that smell of sourness that I don't like... Not as fresh as I expected, i also bought Believe by Britney like that one more. This one is not bad, but I was looking for something fresh, a little sweet and soft, ant this one is a bit sour... Not bad tho, but I would not buy this again. But It really does smell like pear! Main note I would say, I really cant smell anything else except that sour thing.. Gave it to my mom, she loved it. Sour pear :)) I'd give it a 3/5.

This is a nice,happy fruity scent on me-I just wish the lasting power was better...after about an hour I can barely smell it.I just bought a little gift size spray but don't think I would purchase a big bottle-I'm more of a powdery floral kind of girl but this is nice when I need a mood boost:) Edit:Her original scent smells like a watered down Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming-this smells exactly like it....odd.

I got this in a discount store and I quite like it for the summer even though it's not the sort of perfume I would usually wear. It's very strong at first - almost like hairspray or even nail varnish remover, but it settles nicely after an hour. It's nothing special but it's fresh and fruity for summer days or nights. Not a perfume I can image wearing in the winter.

I really smell a lot of Peach! Like, tonnes of peach in this. I smelt it today in a store, it was super cheap around $8 for 30ml but I decided to pass because I need to control my perfume addiction. ;)

This was a pleasant surprise for me :) Very airy. I like the pear & apple and I also like that this does not contain stuffy vanilla like a lot of scents do. And it's cheap, which always a bonus :D

Really quite nice. Fruity without being juvenile or overly sweet, and well-balanced with delicate floral notes. The lily is well-blended with the lily-of-the-valley, light and green floral.

I just received this one and I can say that it is indeed brilliant. It reminds me of Britney's Radiance. I like it a lot! It is fresh, citrusy, and feminine!

It's quite nice. It smells pears, apples and freesia. On the other hand, it is light and elegant. The best for a beautifull and happy woman:)

I really enjoyed this brilliantly subtle perfume. I just wish that scent actually lasted longer than 2 hours.

Super sweet pear and apple, almost like smelling a bottle of juice with lots of sugar added. There may be flowers and wood in there somewhere but I can't wait that long...gotta wash it off! And if I'm not mistaken, isn't Celine a grown woman? Why would she want to smell like this? Just plain insipid nasty stuff... Moving on and quickly! Update: I used it up as bathroom spray...finally gone, Yea!

Was able to buy this very cheap, thought I would like it because I like fruity and sweet scents. But this smells only of synthetic pear. Like you've been bathing in pear juice with loads of sugar. So cheap, urgh.

Got it as a gift , ordinary perfume....

I hate it, I've got as a present from my mother-in-law, but it is so bad, my stomach hurt 🤢

I've had this fragrance for quite a while and the main notes I detect right away is floral (jasmine flower) and pear with the addition of it being on the powdery side rather than citrusy, as it is far from that spectrum. It is inoffensive and not too strong, but the longevity is not the best as for me personally It is about an hour or so until it completely vanishes. It is comforting to wear this scent but it is not a unique scent. This is the kind of scent a sweet elderly woman would wear, in other words, it is a mature scent. The idea of the combination of the notes are brilliant and nice to the nose but the actual quality is lacking, It's either that or it just doesn't go with my chemistry. The actual spray part of the bottle has been giving me trouble with spritzing. I have received compliments on this scent and it is a lovely fresh scent with a pleasant bottle shape. This all being said, it is more of a winter/fall scent, I usually do not care about the seasons being associated with perfumes but I can not imagine someone wearing this in the hot weather. It sticks better on a person when it is colder. It is a safe gift to give someone as it is not too "avant garde" but neutral while having some personality.

I found a special on this fragrance at my local Rite-Aid last fall& bought it. Everytime I have sampled any of Celine's fragrances I have liked them. I didn't sample smell this one because it was gift boxed. When I got home & opened it, it immediately reminded me of a soft lingering scent I had detected on a close family member when I hugged her. So I put it back to give to her for this past Christmas. Little did I know that she is very allergic to most fragrances & usually doesn't ever wear one. What I had probably detected on her was a scented shampoo that lingered in her hair. But, like me, she liked the fragrance & tried wearing it. She was quite surprised that it doesn't bother her allergies, wears it well, only touches of it, and it smells like plums on her. It just smells wonderful on her. A nice fruity fragrance, I think!

This is my favorite perfume fom the Celine Dion line! It is indeed chic, classy, fresh floral, light and breezy, easy to wear, it smells like an expensive perfume too...it manages to be a crowd pleaser without getting boring..I dont find it overly sweet at all, more like a fresh floral , not screechy. and soft overall..very spring like... I don't think Celine Dion would put her name on anything smelling cheap!!

this is so brilliant its very sweet pear but somehow very light and Beautiful i LOOOOVE it, it doesnt really smell like perfume thoug its smells like you have sprayed pear juice oer yourself, I myself like it, but it doesnt smell so very grown up, if you have smelled celines earlier perfumes,( that i Think are horrible), they are much more mature and floral in my opinion this is her best perfume!!

I liked this, very pleasant fresh mixed fruity smell on me with none of the bitterness. Should be noted that it was very much on the low end of moderate for both, there is a lingering vague flowery smell on my wrists 10 hours on but the main body of it went in 3 hours. Well worth the £6 I paid on amazon so I'm not going to really complain.

The fragrance is exactly as its name says: pure and brilliant. Very fresh and clean in a transparent way. To some people it may smell like a washing liquid. I get mostly apple and clear green notes with some light flowers in the background. Definitely a hot weather scent. Doesn't change in time, good staying power.

Completely agree, this smells a lot like Petite Cherie. My best friend and I were perfume shopping and just happened upon this fragrance and it's fantastic! I definitely plan on buying it. I love anything that smells like pear and this definitely does- it's sweet and feminine but not overpowering.

It really does smell like a fruit salad. This was heavily fruity and it didn't even get woody later on. Mostly, it smells like apples and guava to me. It's not bad but it's not great either.

it smells ONLY like PEAR. maybe apples too but the only thing im thinking of is pears, its a fresh scent but it seems as i was saying that its only ONE NOTE in this perfume,-pears

When I tried this one another perfume immediately came to mind - Petite Cherie! Nice perfume for those who cannot afford it but love it ;) Brilliant job, Celine!

Very nice, I got compliments trying the tester before checkout at Khols. Definate sweet notes. Does not last on my skin long. But worth buying.

I tested it today and found it extremely annoying. Typical drugstore like, extremely sharp, maybe citrusy but quite cheap in smell and price.

Although, I didn't test this on my skin....I remember liking the fragrance. I think I may snatch this up soon.

Definitely get the freshness and light pear in this. Soft spring scent :-)

does this perfume exist now?? miss it so much
